Situated on west side of Little Elk Lake (near Zimmerman, MN) and sits on a 1 acre wooded property with a breathtaking, southeast facing, view of the lake front perfect for spectacular sunrises. A dock for you to fish from and secure your boat or perhaps jet skis.

Recently, the house was beautifully updated with a stunning kitchen to include a wine cooler. Outfitted with new furniture. It’s just simply stated, a perfect place to relax with family and friends, enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on the patio or perhaps enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun sets. Sleeps up to 16 guests. 1-King bed, 2-Queen beds, 1-Full futon sofa. 4- pull out queen sleeper sofas, and 1- pull out twin sleeper sofa. To top it off, It’s expansive 21’x30’ loft outfitted with a wet bar and under-counter refrigerator is a great place for kids and grandkids to get away and spend time as the adults relax on the lake front.

The beds are so comfortable and we loved all the extra pillows and blankets along with enough towels for a large group and beach towels. The kitchen is perfect for cooking for a large group and is very well stocked. We knew from last year so we brought our own shampoo, body wash and extra paper towels and toilet paper. She starts you off with the basics but the store is only 5 minutes away. We just chose to bring extra along. Lawn games, board games, plenty of tvs and steaming , good wifi ( we had one working from a laptop and teens on devices and no issues ) . This is the perfect spot for families with kids of all ages. The water at the shoreline is shallow enough for even toddlers to swim. Highly recommend and we look forward to booking our next trip!"

Welcome to your next vacation getaway! Nestled on Lake Fremont with a beautiful view of a peaceful natural setting, this house has a huge deck, sandy beach and lakeside fire pit. Relax in the warmth and openness of the main living room with its vaulted ceilings and gas fireplace; surrounded by two bedrooms, open kitchen, wood floors, huge windows and skylights. This is your home away from home as you give your body a rest, go fishing, have a picnic, relax on the sandy beach or make s’mores at the fire pit. Bring your boat (or rent ours) and cruise the lake and explore the island in the center of the lake. In the winter, bring your snowmobile and explore the miles of nearby trails. The bonfire pit is just steps from the water.

DETAILS: The master suite is lofted and has skylights. The second bedroom has a lake/beach view. There is also a large couch perfect for afternoon naps.

The living room has skylights, large LED smart TV, DVD, and internet TV. The large windows and doors offer a great view of the lake.

Also, if you are looking for a non-toxic place, we have converted the house to a chemical-free, organic cottage. The beds, linens and pillows are either organic cotton or non-GMO cotton. Queen bed is a new organic Avocado mattress. All cleaning products are fragrance-free and we don't use harsh chemicals (Branch Basics is used for cleaning). Air filters are changed every two months. Trust us...you will notice a difference in how great you feel after a week here.

Welcome to Sunset Retreat! The updated four season cabin offers the best sunset views on Big Lake, plus plenty of water toys for you to enjoy!

A charming two bedroom, one bath home with a large dining table for 8, beautiful white oak floors throughout, a wood-burning fireplace and new custom cabinetry. Swing from the hanging egg chair in the dining room and enjoy the spectacular west-facing view. Then step outside to the spacious patio furnished with a bar, dining table, Traeger pellet grill and a Hot Shot stove for a small fire.

During winter months enjoy cross-country skiing, sledding and ice fishing at the lake. Big Lake is also a snow-mobile destination, with access to over 230 miles of groomed trails.

During warmer months, walk down to the dock to enjoy swimming, fishing, a ride in the pedal boat, canoe, or kayak (included with your rental), or to simply relax and take it all in. You are welcome to bring a boat and tie it up on the dock.

The home features two bedrooms: One with a King Sleep Number bed and desk/dressing table, the second with a full-sized bed with memory foam mattress under a twin bunk bed (with stairs). There is a full-sized futon in the common area.

The kitchen is equipped with updated appliances, a Keurig, air fryer/toaster oven, new pots and pans, and standard tools/cooking utensils. There is also a full-sized bath, and a washer and dryer.

The house is cooled with a newly updated air conditioning unit. Ceiling fans circulate the air in the living room and two bedrooms, plus two additional fans are provided to move cool air into the bedrooms at night.

We all love a good time; however, this is a residential area and we ask renters to be respectful to the neighboring houses which are close by. Outdoor quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. in alignment with the City of Big Lake Noise Ordinance.

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge - 12 miles
The refuge offers a variety of recreational activities including hiking, wildlife watching, photography, driving the Prairie’s Edge Wildlife. Paddle the designated canoe route to get a different perspective and get off the beaten path by hiking or biking the service roads when the refuge is out of wildlife sanctuary from September 1 through February 28.

With two bedrooms, and a bonus room, there is plenty of privacy for couples or families. Sleeps up to 10 guests. 1-king bed, a bunk with queen on bottom and full on top, 1-pull out queen sleeper sofa, a queen murphy bed, and 1-pull out full sleeper sofa. An air mattress is also available for use.

The cabin is comfortably furnished with updated appliances, including dishwasher, and washer/dryer. A flat screen TV, cable, and wireless, high-speed internet will keep you in the loop with the every-day.

This place is great if you are looking to get out in nature! We are just a 10 minute drive from great hiking trails in the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. You can find ice skating rinks in the nearby towns (or on the lake if it's clear). Great options for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Right across the bay, you could grab a drink and some food at the local dive, Ridgewood Bay. Just contact us if you have any other questions or need recommendations!

Very nice home but not priceless. It's meant to be lived in. This house has a lot of room and a lot of sleeping space. Secure pet kennel with doggy door into garage and a lot of ways for kids to entertain themselves.

- "Beautiful cabin with a great yard, gorgeous lake view, and large open spaces for family to be together. Tons of amenities and activities to use while there too! The host was great as well. " - "We had a family gathering and enjoyed our 4-day stay! The VRBO definition and pictures of this property are a good representation of how homey and comfortable the home is. There are different areas for reading, games, just hanging out or anything else you may want to do. There is not a place to swim, but we knew this ahead of time and brought a small pool for the kiddos. The adults took advantage of the paddle boards. The host was responsive and answered our questions. There were some very nice touches and surprises left by the host for us to enjoy. Almost anything you could need was there. I would definitely recommend this property. It worked out that it was close to the Twin Cities area where we were all from. Those that couldn't stay the entire time had just a short distance to travel."

Owners were easy to reach, we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and were able to reach them without delay. 5 Stars!" - "We had a great time just hanging out in the backyard and lake. Something for everyone! Kayaking, canoeing, grilling, and cooking s’mores on the fire pit were our favorite activities. The house is uniquely decorated and had plenty of space for the 9 of us. We were concerned about the 1 bathroom, but it really was not a problem. The kitchen was well-stocked and the boat house had life jackets and other toys. Swimming was not possible since the algae was dense, but there was plenty to do over the weekend. The local towns of Princeton and Cambridge have some cute shops downtown. We absolutely loved the restaurant in downtown Cambridge called Leader. Our entire crew of adults, teens, and toddlers had a memorable, relaxing stay."
