A cozy lake front apartment located in Lake Shore. It has a private dock a short walk away with room for a boat and jet ski! Tastefully decorated, this home has a pool table, a great deck with tables and chairs, BBQ, and outdoor shower to rinse off sand. This apartment is located under a house, but this home is not occupied by the owners when the apartment is rented.

With most of our properties, you will come to our office and meet with our office staff to receive your keys and/or code to access the property you are renting. Select homes we can set up no contact check in, where you will receive a code and the property address to check in.
After hours check in will be self-check in that we will set up upon request.

All of our homes are around Bass Lake, most within walking distance of lake access or a short drive to the nearest access point.

You will receive access to the home on the first day of your reservation. Check in will be set up with office staff.

An apartment space with one bedroom, shared spaces, four beds, and one bathroom. The beds are a King and three singles, two of the singles are Bunk beds.

The Bass Lake area does not have public transit.

Guests must be 25 or older to rent any of our properties. ID will be required upon reservation confirmation. The guest that makes the reservation must be the one who checks in and must remain on the property with the other guests.
Service animals are allowed on our properties. Please answer the following questions legally allowed by the ADA regarding your service animal. 1) Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? 2) What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
We do not charge extra for service animals, nor do we increase the security deposit. The guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or animal. Our cabin is a cozy and serene place to vacation, just a short drive from the Bay Area and the Central Valley. The hot tub at night under the stars is a favorite of all our guests.

We can also be your "home office" for working remotely, with fast wifi for those Zoom meetings and a couple of separate work areas in the house.

This is a charming and comfortable cabin at Bass Lake that is quite secluded on a small hill overlooking the lake. There is one master bedroom and full bath with a California King bed and a TV. The second bedroom is small, with a bunk bed that is twin-sized on top and full-sized on the bottom. (note: there is not a lot of headroom above the top bunk). This bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. The living room has a queen-sized Ikea sofa bed (comfy!) and a large smart TV with DVD player. The modern kitchen has a nook that sits 4-6. There is an adjacent library/den area with a table that can be used for dining, game playing, puzzles, crafts, working at your laptop, etc. There is also a desk in the master bedroom. The wifi is fast....good for working remotely, Zoom calls, streaming, etc.

There is a hot tub on the deck that overlooks the lake. The hot tub is especially wonderful at night when all is quiet and the stars are bright. There is a patio table (with umbrella) which is the perfect spot for eating all meals, game-playing, relaxing with a glass of wine, etc. You will definitely spend a lot of time on the deck overlooking the hillside and lake. To the side of the house is a semi- enclosed yard area (not "safe" for pets to be left alone)with a concrete patio and a basketball hoop. Children love to play in this side-yard area (although young children must always be supervised)
It is a 7-minute walk to the lake. The Falls beach area is less than a mile down the road. In the other direction, there are many public beaches within walking distance or just a short drive...just choose one that fits your fancy. If you have young children, the beaches closest to our cabin have lots of shallow areas that are perfect for children to play safely in. The water is a great temperature for swimming during the summer. The Pines Village is 2 miles down the road. There you'll find The Pines grocery store, a gas station, a few restaurants and shops to browse in. There are boat and other rentals available on both sides of the lake as well as a couple of amazing burger, sandwich and ice-cream places (Millers Landing and The Forks).

The town of Oakhurst is just 8 miles away and has a wide variety of restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, bowling, etc. There is also good golf, hiking and fishing nearby. And of course, Yosemite is just up the road! It's a 20 minute drive to the southern entrance to Yosemite (and the Mariposa Grove) and then another 40-60 minutes down into Yosemite Valley. Day trips into Yosemite are very easy to do....then come back to soak in the hot tub at night!

This cabin is a perfect retreat for couples who want a quiet get-away. Families love it too!
In the winter, the lake level is down quite a bit. There is snow a few times a year but not regularly. There is usually snow just up the road towards Yosemite, and there are a few snow play areas before you get to the gates of Yosemite, near Fish Camp. There is skiing and snowboarding and snowshoe-ing at Badger Pass inside Yosemite; it's a great family snow play resort.

The house is primarily heated by an efficient wood stove in the living room. The fire will be all ready for you to light a match to once you arrive. It heats the house up fairly quickly, usually within 30 minutes. We provide plenty of firewood on the rack outside the back door. You can set the fire on “low” by moving the lever at the bottom of the stove to the right. This allows less air in, and it will burn slowly. Pile it up with wood during the night, set it on low, and it should stay warm all night long.
The wood stove is a desirable feature for most guests
**HOWEVER, If you don't want to deal with a wood stove, this cabin may not be your best option.

We are pet-friendly and have hosted many happy pooches, but we must approve your pet before final booking. Please let us know the breed, weight and age of your pet. We'll send a pet addendum for you to read and agree to. Depending upon the number of pets and length of stay, the pet fee is $65-$85. This is a separate and additional fee that will be added to your charges.

We live in a quiet neighborhood - all residential. Most of the homes are second homes. You can walk to the lake (in 5 minutes ... approx 75 yards), walk to the village (in about 15 minutes) and walk to a great hiking trail (15 min). Lake temperature during the summer ranges from 70-80 degrees. There is a beach area by our community dock which is ideal for summer days lakeside.

We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, spent most of the time on the lake in the day, and down at Ducey's area at night. Worked out great for our base home. AC worked really well in both the living room and the master bedroom, would be good to have another one in the extra bedroom, my daughter slept on the couch in the living room, and she had no complaints. Master bed was very comfortable. Loved the balcony (If some of the trees were trimmed you'd have a view of the lake) 1 morning we did see a bear wandering right below the balcony, that was pretty exciting, luckily no one was down on the street in the area. Also saw 2x bears in the Ducey area, the rangers were there and kept the situation safe. Best to be careful in this area with that and keep those garbage cans closed. The backyard area was great as well, enjoyed the gas fire pit to finish off every night. Kitchen seemed to have everything you'd need if you planned on cooking, but we just used the fridge. Phone service was not good, but expected in the area, so could make it difficult to find the place, I took screenshots of directions before leaving so it worked out for us. The internet worked great in the house. Melinda was awesome, there was a big fire in the area right before our trip, that cut out electricity the day before our arrival, which threatened our extended weekend trip, but she communicated very effectively with giving the info she had and was willing to refund if the power wasn't restored. We drove up anyways without knowing what to expect, the electric came on a few hours after our arrival, so it worked out perfect. Would definitely consider living on the ledge again Thank you Melinda, your place is very nice, the family loved the decor and overall ambiance and we enjoyed our stay"

- "Enjoyed our stay" - "Very comfortable, plenty of space. Loved the A-frame architecture and the view, as well as the porches and large windows with a beautiful view (especially when the sun was shining in). Also enjoyed using the fireplace inside. Nice little neighborhood right near the lake (you could even see parts of the lake from the upper porch), but the house still felt secluded with all the trees surrounding it, which is exactly what we wanted. - "I have stayed in vacation rentals for over 35 years - and I have rented more than 15 homes at Bass Lake. This home blows away any other competitors! NEVER have I seen a rental better stocked than this one. I could have left half of what I packed at home. PLENTY bath and kitchen towels. PLENTY garbage bags, toiletries, soaps kitchen spices, condiments, paper products, games, blankets, pillows, etc. A lot of rentals have the bare minimum in the kitchen. This one has a ton of EVERYTHING and the appliances are newer. Comfortable beds and furniture. A/C units that actually work. Ceiling fans. A wrap-around deck with 3 seating areas. Propane BBQ. Everything listed in the amenities was accurate. The pictures look exactly like the home. A bonus was the view of the lake. It can be seen from the deck, the living room, the loft and a little from the kitchen. Another honorable mention is that the owner, Linda Hoagland, responded with lightning speed to every message I sent. Not only was she responsive, but, she was a gem to work with. It was unanimous with my kids, grandkids and visitors that this house, far and above exceeded all expectations and that it was our favorite of all time. My only "complaint" that the owners have no control over, is the very steep driveway. However, there is room for 2 cars in tandem to the left of the home. Also, the outdoor firepit didn't work. If I could give 10 stars I would. This home is the best of the best and I would not hesitate to rent it again."

Step back in time, This charming 2 bedroom plus loft, 1 bath lake-view cabin is a tenants favorite. The large deck is a great place to relax and read a good book or enjoy your evening meal all the while enjoying the wonderful fresh air at Bass Lake. This cabin gives you a feeling of stepping back in time with its mixture of antiques and modern furnishings, fireplace insert and paneled interior walls.

With most of our properties, you will come to our office and meet with our office staff to receive your keys and/or code to access the property you are renting. Select homes we can set up no contact check in, where you will receive a code and the property address to check in.

We do not charge extra for service animals, nor do we increase the security deposit. The guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or animal. - "The stay was fine because of our ability as a family to adapt to different situations. We knew about the linens, towels, toaletries, etc., but didn't have clear picture of how many beds and what sizes we should expect to find in the house, which made us bring more linens for different scenarios. The hot weather made the stay miserable in the first few days and the ceiling fan didn't help nor did the other very dusty portable fans. The warning that the house doesn't have a carbon monoxide alarm made me feel uneasy during our stay. The house provides all basic needs for a stay, but because it's old it doesn't give much comfort. All the old and dusty objects and amenities of the house are preventing an enjoyable vacation. With all this comment I don't want to offend anybody, but I choose to be honest. I understand that different people have different opinions about what is valuable and what not. Old doesn't mean that it can not be enjoyable. But to be enjoyable it requires to be clean, tidy, functioning well and be secure. And then, it can be even charming. The communication before arrival was delayed and uncertain. After that it was fine."

Slide Creek Retreat is a 2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse in a gated community that is in a great location to take advantage of your California adventures. It is 17 miles to Yosemite National Park and Bass Lake is walking distance. You can take advantage of activities year round. After a day of exploring you can relax and unwind in the community hot tub or pool or grill on the gas BBQ on the back porch overlooking the creek and pine trees.

The space
Our guests will be in a beautiful area of California. You will be able to have coffee on the back porch over looking the creek and taking in the pine trees surrounding. The bedrooms are cozy and inviting after a long day exploring. The kitchen is stocked and ready to be used for preparing meals or take advantage of the gas BBQ. The living room has a gas fireplace to create a warm atmosphere for you to gather and chill.

Our guests will have full access for the entire town house and the pool/hot tub facilities.
There is free parking within the gates and we can accommodate boats. Let us know if you are bringing a boat. We want our guests to feel at home and enjoy our place as if it's their own.

Our town house does have stairs, so to keep little ones safe I have a baby gate in the downstairs closet.

There is no cleaning fee and guests are not expected to clean anything upon departure! You can leave the condo as-is when checking out :)

Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Bass Lake has been called "pretty as a postcard" by the Los Angeles Times and is the closest recreational lake to the park. This means hiking Yosemite by day—where you’ll find hidden waterfalls, mind-boggling cliffs of granite and giant Sequoias—and relaxing lakeside by night.

There’s plenty to do at the lake itself—water ski, hike, fish, ride horseback, and more. Make sure you book extra time—you don’t want to miss out!

Plan a visit during April – June to make sure you can view the beautiful waterfalls at Yosemite National Park.

Walk up steep driveway, left on to deck, right on deck to Slider first Floor. Parking either top of driveway or street. Depends on if owners are there or not. Use of BBQ up top only upon request and approval.

Other things to note
If owners are not present or not using Boat Slip, you may rent for $50 a day extra. Best Slip in Marina. Quieter side, end of dock. Last slip for dips in lake. Chairs towels provided. Smoking cigarettes of any kind or fireworks are prohibited.

Summer is a HIGH FIRE ZONE time and neighborhoods and massive forests have been destroyed, for foolish behavior. Don’t be one of them.

$250 fine for smoking clean up in house and you will not be able to book again. No professional photography inside, unless you’ve been hired to the shoot space by owners..

Cameras do watch outside very carefully for everyone’s safety and to prevent thefts.

Guests under the age of 22 booking, must be accompanied by a legal guardian. A guest check will be made. If you exceed 3 max people in the downstairs suite, you will be escorted off property by sheriff. Your rental $ will not eligible for refund. It is a law and a rule booking the space.

No wild parties or karaoke outside... please. Be respectful to neighbors, or you will not be able to book again. Many are full timers and work in the morning! Remember that please and keep outside deck quiet before 8:00 AM and quiet down after 9:30PM. If another house is bothering you, please contact us right away or call sheriff for noise complaint.

Rustic and cozy two-story cabin with a fully equipped kitchen and living room on the entry level and one bedroom with a bathroom downstairs. The cabin also comes with a small deck with a bbq, table and chairs.

750sq ft Cabin can accommodate comfortably 4 guests (up to 6 allowed). Guest travelling with pets (dogs only) are welcome to stay with a fee of $85 payable upon arrival.

- Pet fee is not included in the room rate. It is $75 per stay and will be collected upon arrival.

We are adult only cabin and rent 2 suites in our rustic 1950’s authentic hand built log cabin. You have a Separate entrance on back of cabin with own living room, small bedroom/full bed, bathroom, private deck with table. A great place to call home for your time exploring Yosemite & Bass lake. Walk to Pines, Falls beach, enjoy dinner at Duceys on the lake, take a hike up willow creek or drive 25 minutes to south gate of Yosemite for a day of exploring the beauty and grandeur of the park

The space
Sierras hideaway is a cute suite on back of our 1950’s log cabin. We are across from the lake. Lake access is a 10 minute walk to falls beach or 1 minute drive. We are adult only and are not set up for children. It is a separate entrance suite perfect for couples off the back of our cabin at bass Lake, a 5 minute walk to pines village and 25 minute drive to south gate of Yosemite National park. Off your deck you enter A small living room with tv, microwave, keurig, mini fridge, loveseat, chair. A separate bedroom with queen bed. Brand new bathroom! We are on a hill across from lake. Lake view from front through trees. Front area with log swing is shared between 3 suites.
It is a quiet, clean, cute space near mountain biking, hiking trails, swimming, boating! In the fall it gets quiet and colors begin to change and the lake is wonderful to paddle board, kayak, hike and explore.

*please note that despite sound proofing efforts that log cabins carry sound through beams. You will hear people in your living area but your bedroom has no shared walls.

Please understand that when soundproofing we were told to drop ceilings to cover log beams and we chose not to as it would take away the log cabin feel. Log cabins are loud! Sound travels through beams. When your in your living area and other guests are in theirs you can hear each other. We want you to understand this when booking.

An immaculately clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated & well-appointed, townhome (sleeps 6) in a lovely & peaceful resort, less than a half hour ride to Yosemite, this is such a great location! A beautiful lake, hiking trails, fishing & boating are right near the resort, as is famous Ducey's on the Lake restaurant. Relax & breathe in some clean pine-scented air, soak in the hot tub or sit on your patio & sip a drink while stargazing. This place is heavenly & you will want to come back again!

This is truly a wonderful resort experience in the pines! Your beautiful townhome has everything you need to feel at home - a fully equipped kitchen, all bedding, linens, etc., and washer/dryer. Bishops corner is a rustic log suite room with private entrance near lake in our 1950s log cabin. You have french doors that open to large covered front deck with fire table, rocking chair, hammock, living room separate from your bedroom, full bathroom. Living room area has a small refrigerator, keurig, microwave, tea kettle, tv, futon couch and a table for eating or working. You can see the lake through the trees. 5 minute walk from pines Village, boat rentals.

The space
This is a uniquely awesome, rustic (in a good way) log cabin that has been divided into 3 units. This unit is named in memory of our very loved and beautiful dog Bishop who for reasons unknown loved the outside corner of the cabin and would get the zoomies every single time he walked past that corner.
The cabin is a piece of history, hand built by mens YMCA in the 1940's. Each small unit has it's own private bedroom, bathroom, living room and deck with fire table, seating, umbrella.
It is located on 3 acres across from Bass Lake. The cabin is used for a launching point for our backcountry adventure program between guest stays and has a fence separating it from our small office space and tent cabins.

You have access to the front area that has a log swing and open area and your deck is a nice size that overlooks the lake through the trees. Your small bedroom has a door off the living room with a queen size bed and dresser. Bathroom is off the living room as well. Log beams are beautiful and rustic, bathroom is brand new with live edged cedar vanity made from milling wood on the property. A mini split in living room is used for heat and air conditioning.

*** PLEASE understand that even though we sound proofed as well as we could-sound travels through wood easily and through floors. We didn't want to cover the beams or the stained concrete floors to make it quieter and loose the beauty of the beams. While remodeling we wanted to keep the rustic cabin charm as authentic as possible.

***The bedroom shares no walls with any unit so it is quiet but the living area does share walls and you will hear people when in living room regardless of our sound proofing efforts! We have quiet hours from 10-7am.

*** the outside deck is concrete and is uneven in places. Watch your step!

**fire danger is high here late spring through the fall. Extremely high! We get ZERO rain for 4-5 months. A small spark could burn the forest down. Please no open fires, no fireworks etc.

You have access to your deck, your unit and the communal area in front of the cabin where log swing is. Back of cabin and other side of cabin is for other units. You have a parking space that pulls up to your side of the deck that says Bishops Corner.

Other things to note
This is a log cabin which by nature has log beams and sound loves to travel through them. So you can hear guests in next suite when your in your living room. We did not want to drop ceilings to achieve soundproofing and cover the log beams. Your bedroom has no shared walls-so that’s good! 😊 so we ask that sound be kept quiet after 10. Thank you!

Also Please don't wander in the national forest owned ravines next to cabin as There has been a lot of storm damage to the property the last few years from Mono winds, drought causing beetle kill to the trees and this year heavy snow loads that resulted in this area being designated a disaster zone. We have done the best we can do on our own property to clean and repair so we can open but you will see some downed trees that we are waiting to have cleaned up and a storage roof that will be fixed but along with many others we are waiting for insurance claims, contractors and tree workers.The cabin itself held up underneath the biggest snow load in recorded history. Old things were built well!
