Fully renovated! Five bedrooms and four bathrooms in 3,500 square feet offers room for everyone. This home is located in the quaint town of Bass Lake, just 20 minutes to Yosemite’s southern entrance. Make this spacious lake home your hub for your next vacation. The home boasts an open floor plan and makes a perfect gathering place to bring your family and friends together to connect and create memories.

This home is located in a private community with private beach access. A short walk away, a dock is available for your use next to a private beach and swim area for the neighborhood. This is also a perfect spot to launch your SUP or kayak and enjoy the calm waters of the cove.

Bass Lake offers boating, fishing, and hiking among other activities. We are located on the Pines Village side of the lake which has restaurants, a market, bars, shops and a full-service marina with boat and jet ski rentals. Prior to your stay, you will receive access to our personal guide offering suggestions to favorite restaurants and activities in the area.

Upon entering the home, the large living room welcomes you with a reclining leather couch and ample seating for your family and friends. Sit and enjoy the fireplace while playing a game or enjoy the smart tv. This room is also open to the expansive kitchen which is equipped to provide both space and accessories needed to enjoy preparing a meal together or just hanging out. The house also features a dining area and counter seating. The main floor boasts three of the five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The second floor houses two bedrooms, one full bathroom and a bonus room, a paradise for both kids and adults alike - keeping the entire family entertained, with bunk beds, a smart tv, and an office space.

For your convenience, an indoor laundry room is available for your use. A washing machine, dryer, iron and board, and cleaning supplies are included.

Additional amenities included are heat/air conditioning, DVD player, WIFI, Keurig and regular coffee maker, dishwasher, all granite countertops, fireplace, propane bbq. For your safety, security cameras monitor the front entrance and driveway.

Guests will have easy access to the home via electronic door lock, Guests will be provided their unique door code prior to arrival. No access to the garage.

Other things to note
Please remember this is the mountains. There are mosquitoes, bats, bugs, and bears. Please remember insect repellent, keep doors closed to keep the bears out, and have a "Great Outdoors" attitude if a bat finds its way into the house. Just please don't break everything as you swing the broom around to swish it back outside!!!

- "Thank you for sharing your home. The house was clean and in perfect condition. Well stocked. The local host was easy to deal with. Check-in and check-out was easy. The location was amazing. The dock and quiet cove on the lake were perfect. We had a great week." - "We loved this house and area! I went with my children and grandchildren and we all agreed that if we come back to Bass Lake we would stay here again. The house was recently remodeled and was beautifully decorated. It is spacious, lots of room upstairs and down and we could easily have had 6 or more people staying with us. There is everything you could want in a well stocked kitchen. Spices galore which my son used to BBQ us dinner every night and plenty of everything else! The back yard patio is a lovely place for morning coffee and watching the hummingbirds. The kids liked the upstairs living area and movies to watch. The private beach is great with a dedicated table, chairs and umbrella for your use so you don't have to lug a bunch of stuff with you and they have a gazillion beach towels so you don't have to pack your own. There is a private dock that we used for a pontoon boat that we rented for a half day in the afternoon and then kept overnight for a half day the next morning. Lots of tubing and fishing! The AC worked great which can sometimes ruin a vacation if it doesn't. The only drawbacks are that the water is not potable in this area so you have to be careful not to accidentally drink it. Plenty of bottled water is provided with pitchers to put in every bathroom so it was really not a problem for us. And there were bear sightings in the area. The owners provide an airhorn for use while walking to the beach etc so we felt ok about it. Really really nice! "

Newly updated 2000 square foot lakefront cabin with amazing views. Two minute drive or 7 minute walk to the Pines Resort, 15 minutes to Oakhurst and just 16 miles to the South entrance of Yosemite. Take in beautiful sunsets on the large deck and enjoy the warm lake water in the summer months (lake levels are dropped considerably in the winter by PG&E. Check basslakeca.com for lake levels). A comfortable master with a king bed and 6 twin beds upstairs make this a perfect place for families and friends to get together and enjoy beautiful Bass Lake, hiking trails, Yosemite, the Pines Resort area, mountain biking and various winter activities.

A game room and wet bar downstairs below the main floor deck includes a bluetooth jukebox, foosball table, video game console, dartboard, sofa, full bath and great lake views.

The kitchen and living room are spacious and all rooms enjoy views of the lake. A bbq and plenty of seating and tables on the deck overlooking the lake make for great entertaining and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

3 1/2 baths including a master ensuite are plenty to handle guest needs.

Simply walk off the top deck and down to the lakeshore. In the winter, enjoy the beautiful serenity of the area and avoid the crowds. Find a sled hill when it snows, visit Yosemite (beautiful in the winter!), take a hike or just enjoy the warmth of the lakefront cabin in front of the fireplace. We are 1 hour from Badger Pass ski resort and 1 1/2 hours from China Peak ski resort.

The cabin features a whole home generator in case there are power outages in the area (works everything except AC when power grid is out), and central air and heat to keep the house cool during summer and warm during winter and snow season.

The living room is equipped with a new smart TV (Netflix, YouTube TV, Apple TV and Hulu available- personal subscriptions required) and comfortable seating.

Bedding, sheets, towels, toilet paper, paper towels and soaps/shampoos are provided for our guests. A washer and dryer are also available for guest use. Please bring your own beach towels.

Parking is available for up to 4 cars and may be impacted by the size of your vehicle. Instructions regarding boat launching and trailer parking would be included in your welcome/check-in message shortly before your arrival.

Note that the garage and one additional bedroom, not included in this listing, is locked off from September through May for owner storage purposes. - "Great house with a great location on Bass Lake. We met as a family for Thanksgiving and picked this location due to its proximity to Yosemite. It is is about a 20 minute drive to the South entrance and about another 45-60 minutes to the valley floor. The South entrance has great views and pullouts to see along the way of all the big attractions (El Capitan, Half Dome and two of the waterfalls). It was a great location for what wanted. The house is just a few blocks from the center of town where there is a resort, a market, and a few shops. Very easy to walk to restaurants, coffee, the marina, etc.) We stayed when the lake had already been lowered 50% (occurs ever November for PGE power production and to allow for winter runoff.) We were aware of this from the listing so no surprises for us. The house is on one of the coves so do not expect water by the private dock or directly in front of the deck. Even though the lake level was low, there were still nice views of the lake looking to the left. I'm sure the views are absolutely gorgeous in the summer! The house is exceptionally stocked with most everything you would need. I packed all sorts of Ziplock baggies, foil, glad wrap, parchment paper, knives, spices, coffee, and some specialty items for cooking Thanksgiving. They surprisingly had everything I had packed which is not the norm for short term rentals. They even had a meat thermometer and turkey baster! This is a great house and we would stay here again."

This is a charming and comfortable cabin at Bass Lake that is quite secluded on a small hill overlooking the lake. There is one master bedroom and full bath with a California King bed and a TV. The second bedroom is small, with a bunk bed that is twin-sized on top and full-sized on the bottom. (note: there is not a lot of headroom above the top bunk). This bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. The living room has a queen-sized Ikea sofa bed (comfy!) and a large smart TV with DVD player. The modern kitchen has a nook that sits 4-6. There is an adjacent library/den area with a table that can be used for dining, game playing, puzzles, crafts, working at your laptop, etc. There is also a desk in the master bedroom. The wifi is fast....good for working remotely, Zoom calls, streaming, etc.

There is a hot tub on the deck that overlooks the lake. The hot tub is especially wonderful at night when all is quiet and the stars are bright. There is a patio table (with umbrella) which is the perfect spot for eating all meals, game-playing, relaxing with a glass of wine, etc. You will definitely spend a lot of time on the deck overlooking the hillside and lake. To the side of the house is a semi- enclosed yard area (not "safe" for pets to be left alone)with a concrete patio and a basketball hoop. Children love to play in this side-yard area (although young children must always be supervised)
It is a 7-minute walk to the lake. The Falls beach area is less than a mile down the road. In the other direction, there are many public beaches within walking distance or just a short drive...just choose one that fits your fancy. If you have young children, the beaches closest to our cabin have lots of shallow areas that are perfect for children to play safely in. The water is a great temperature for swimming during the summer. The Pines Village is 2 miles down the road. There you'll find The Pines grocery store, a gas station, a few restaurants and shops to browse in. There are boat and other rentals available on both sides of the lake as well as a couple of amazing burger, sandwich and ice-cream places (Millers Landing and The Forks).

The town of Oakhurst is just 8 miles away and has a wide variety of restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, bowling, etc. There is also good golf, hiking and fishing nearby. And of course, Yosemite is just up the road! It's a 20 minute drive to the southern entrance to Yosemite (and the Mariposa Grove) and then another 40-60 minutes down into Yosemite Valley. Day trips into Yosemite are very easy to do....then come back to soak in the hot tub at night!

This cabin is a perfect retreat for couples who want a quiet get-away. Families love it too!
In the winter, the lake level is down quite a bit. There is snow a few times a year but not regularly. There is usually snow just up the road towards Yosemite, and there are a few snow play areas before you get to the gates of Yosemite, near Fish Camp. There is skiing and snowboarding and snowshoe-ing at Badger Pass inside Yosemite; it's a great family snow play resort.

The house is primarily heated by an efficient wood stove in the living room. The fire will be all ready for you to light a match to once you arrive. It heats the house up fairly quickly, usually within 30 minutes. We provide plenty of firewood on the rack outside the back door. You can set the fire on “low” by moving the lever at the bottom of the stove to the right. This allows less air in, and it will burn slowly. Pile it up with wood during the night, set it on low, and it should stay warm all night long.
The wood stove is a desirable feature for most guests
**HOWEVER, If you don't want to deal with a wood stove, this cabin may not be your best option.

We are pet-friendly and have hosted many happy pooches, but we must approve your pet before final booking. Please let us know the breed, weight and age of your pet. We'll send a pet addendum for you to read and agree to. Depending upon the number of pets and length of stay, the pet fee is $65-$85. This is a separate and additional fee that will be added to your charges.

- "Since I am the guy who always plans the Bass Lake trip, I am the guy who gets to pick where we stay. And quite honestly that’s part of the fun. This year I chose Jeff and Allison’s place in the woods. I knew from the photos it would be a great place but didn’t realize until our arrival how spectacular it actually was. We’re talking about a newly built rustic cabin in the woods. It’s very warm and inviting with a feeling of Americana. It’s well maintained and very clean. The large deck in back along with two large picnic tables make it a great place to spend time outside. We found ourselves saying ‘wow’ on more than one occasion. We chose to cook our own meals and the well appointed kitchen made meal prep and serving a snap. As far as sleeping goes there are a number of bunks and trundles and no shortage of places to put people. There are also plenty of crisp white bath linens which I personally love. Truth be told there’s nothing about this cabin that’s NOT to love. We’ll be back next year!"

Beautiful Bass Lake is a wonderful spot for boating, skiing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling. You'll be close to the Pines Village at the lake, with its restaurants, general market, bars, shops, and a full-service marina with rental boats, jet skis, and kayaks. The town of Oakhurst is about seven miles away, offering shops, restaurants, bars, a cinema, and a live stage theater of its own. The Chukchansi Casino in Coarsegold is 12 miles away and the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park is only 15 miles away. No dogs allowed. The property owner is severely allergic. Violations may result in a fine.

Things to know
Bass Lake is less than 15 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park. Bass Lake reaches its peak water levels in the summer months and is lowered by 50 percent during the fall and winter months annually. Because of this, summer water levels vary each year depending on seasonal winter rain and snowfall. No dogs allowed. The property owner is severely allergic. Violations may result in a fine.

- "My family and I enjoyed our stay. We liked the proximity to nearby amenities. A short walk takes you to the local market, eateries, and lake. We will come again." - "Easy walking distance to town & resort, nice lake view from large deck, fairly quiet, plenty of parking. Beware of bears! We woke up to fresh bear scat in the driveway our first morning there, and saw some overturned trashcans nearby. Aside from this, cabin was nice, and we'd definitely consider staying here again."

House Rules:

-This is family-oriented property, not a party house!
-High-speed internet (please keep in mind you are in the forest and not uncommon for
wifi to drop occasionally) and Wi-Fi.
-Cabin has an automatic generator back up in case of power outages.
-Indoor fireplaces are NOT allowed during county-wide burn bans, which often occur in
the summer and fall months. This is due to heightened fire risk in the area at those
times. However, door BBQ grills are allowed year-round.
-California Highway Patrol may require chains and/or 4-wheel drive with snow tires
during winter and spring months. Please prepare accordingly.
-A $500 fine will be imposed for smoking anywhere on the premises
-DO NOT move or rearrange furniture.
-The total guest count including children and infants may not exceed 7 guests.
-Renter must be 25 years of age. ID will be required at check-in.
-No extra guests than registered upon booking. No outside visitors, please. You will be
charged a nightly rate for extra people at $100 a night per person from your deposit. ----
There are NO exceptions!
NO HIGH HEALS IN CABIN $1000.00 fine for wood floors damaged!
-No music or loud noise after 10pm, out of respect for our neighbors. If complaints are made due to excessive noise, music or offensive music you may be asked to leave.
-Please do your best to conserve water and utilities.
-Report any damages immediately.
-No Fireworks of any kind are allowed in or around the property.
-Please be advised we have exterior security cameras ONLY. These are used for personal safety, security, and complaints made.
-There are private locked closets for our own personal use. Please do not try to access
these areas. Failure to follow this rule can be cause for removing ALL guests.
-Check out time is 11am. Remove all used linens from beds and used towels, placing in washer / laundry area. Load all dishes in dishwasher and please wash any large pots or pans. Empty trash and place in outside garbage cans. Turn off all lights, fans, A/C, heating units. Please shut all windows.

We ask that you please respect our lovely home, and do not destroy, damage, abuse or misuse any part of it. We want you to have the most wonderful, memorable time and enjoy it as much as we do.

- "The property was beautiful. Lots of space on both sides of the home so it was secluded in the trees. The lay out of the home was perfect for both girls to have a room, my in laws and my husband and I. The home literally had everything you need to enjoy a 10 course meal if needed. We loved the detail in each of the rooms. Bathrooms and living spaces. Even the towels smelled amazing. All the beds were very comfortable as well. This gorgeous bass lake home has amazing views inside and out, and features a large private boat dock and covered deck. The home, built in 2015, sits in the highly coveted Lake Shore Park community of Bass Lake. Away from the hustle and bustle of the bass lake resort, you will enjoy the privacy that this area has to offer. This 3600 square foot home boast’s 2 en suite master bedrooms upstairs, 4 bedrooms downstairs, and a full 325 square foot granny nook attached the garage, sleeping a total of 16 people. Upstairs you will find a spacious open floor plan with 180 degree views of the lake. The top floor includes a chef-ready kitchen complete with bar seating and a large dining room table, as well as a living room area and wood fire place.

Out on the top floor deck you will find more gorgeous views with plenty of seating, a gas fireplace, a gas BBQ grill as well as a Traeger grill and pizza oven. Working your way downstairs, you will find 4 bedrooms with shared jack-and-jill bathrooms, a second living room area with a pool table, a vintage gaming console and an entertainment bar. The bottom floor also contains its own covered outdoor seating area with another fire pit and a ping pong table.

Across the street from the cabin you will find a private easement leading down to our private boat dock and covered deck. The deck sits within a beautiful cove, with 270 degree lake views, and includes ample room to sit back and enjoy your favorite beverage. Bass lake is known for its boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and mountain biking, and we are just 30 minutes from the south gate of Yosemite National Park. You are sure to enjoy our cabin just as much as we do.

Plus an amazing private dock on the cleanest lake I’ve ever seen. The house had everything we needed and more. Know that the dock is down a fairly steep incline, so it was a little hard for the older members of our family, but otherwise, absolutely perfect! The pictures don’t even do it justice. 😊❤️"
