WHAT'S PROVIDED:
For your convenience, we provide the following items: dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, basic cooking supplies, spices, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. These items are offered as a courtesy but are not guaranteed. For larger parties or extended stays, you may need to purchase additional supplies.

We provide all freshly laundered linens for your stay, including towels, sheets, pillowcases, pillows, quilts, and blankets. For your outdoor cookout needs, a propane BBQ is ready to go, complete with propane—just be sure to clean up after use.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. For your caffeine fix, both a Keurig and a full-size coffee pot are available. Please note that the property does not have a dishwasher.

Free Wi-Fi is provided, and the TVs are equipped with Sling app for your streaming entertainment. To ensure your comfort year-round, the property also features both heating and air conditioning.

***There is no landline telephone line at the property. Cell service for most carriers is available.

***High Speed Internet is provided and is the fastest WiFi available in the area. Service will occasionally be on and off due to mountain location, altitude, and weather.

***Property is located in the mountains, thus it is located in a wildlife area. Especially between March and November, there is a possibility of seeing Bears and other wildlife. It is extremely important to not leave any food or trash outside or in vehicles, that vehicles are locked at all times, and that windows lower than 10 feet from the ground are not left open at night or when leaving the property.

***Property is located in the mountains, which is home to various species of snakes, scorpions, and many other types of bugs and reptiles. Please be cognizant of your surroundings and do not leave children unattended.

***Please be advised we do have one external camera located on the front porch. We do not reside in the property full time and use the camera to monitor for property security.

***We do not offer cancellations, refunds, reschedules, or credits of any kind for weather conditions, and/or park closures as these are beyond our control. We strongly suggest that guests purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if weather and/or park closures are a concern.

***Please be advised that there will be third parties periodically on site at the property to perform water filtration, landscaping, and pest spraying services.

***Due to our mountain location our water contains minerals which can impact the hardness and taste. The water is safe to drink and the home has a water softener. If you are sensitive to taste we recommend that you bring bottled water for your stay.

• Dogs may not be left in home unsupervised, and must be confined to crates at all times while guests are away from the property.

I would like to welcome you to the beautiful and amazing fresh air of the Sierra National forest amongst 100 and 200 foot cedar and pine trees in this almost 1800 Sq. Foot, 2 story chalet style cabin. It is located in the amazing and serene community of the historic Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Company, which was the largest, most successful lumber operation in the west. Sugar pine is just below Fish Camp on the way to Yosemite just minutes from the park entrance. This beautiful 2 story chalet style cabin sits high amongst the tall majestic Pine, Cedar and Fir trees. Open the back door and step out into the forest, a comfortable seating area, and gas fire pit provide the perfect ambience for a dinner on the front deck or just to relax among the tall trees and enjoy the peace, quiet and forest scents. The cabin is located 8 miles north of Oakhurst off of highway 41, just 7 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park and 20 minutes to Bass Lake. The upstairs master bedroom and a loft has views of the pines, and has a private 3/4 bath and a wall mounted t.v. A childs room with an amazing skylight over a twin bed shares the upper floor. The main floor offers a fully stocked kitchen with dinnerware, appliances, and all the amenities needed. The second bedroom with a 50 inch wall mounted TV, the second bathroom and the great room. Old historic Lewis Creek runs nearby, and the entrance to the famous Lewis Creek hike is just below the cabin on Road 630. The Lewis Creek hike boasts 2 very unique waterfalls, Red Rock and Corilieu Falls. Oringally, this creek was used to provide water to the 56 mile flume that took the cut lumber down to Madera during the production years of the lumbar company (1898-1931). The property is only 1 mile off highway 41. Sorry NO PETS Allowed.

Reservation Requirement for 2025
Visitors who plan to enter Yosemite National Park between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Memorial Day weekend, any day between June 15 and August 15, or Labor Day weekend are likely to need a reservation. Visit the Yosemite National Park trip planning website or the NPS App for details, exceptions, and how to make a reservation. This system ensures all visitors, whether they plan in advance or decide last minute, can experience the park each day. It also spreads visitation across the day so that visitors have a better experience.
A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park on some days from May 24 through September 1, 2025, for those driving into the park between 6 am and 2 pm as follows:
May 24 through May 26 (Memorial Day weekend): A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday through Monday.
May 27 through June 14: A reservation is not required at any time.
June 15 through August 15: A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm every day.
August 16 through August 29: A reservation is not required at any time.
August 30 through September 1 (Labor Day weekend): A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday through Monday.
Driving through the park will also require a reservation if entering between 6 am and 2 pm. If you are planning to visit after peak hours, please do not arrive before 2 pm; vehicles blocking roads will be cited.

The 'Gingerbread House' is a rustic one-of-a-kind storybook A-Frame chalet with a loft. Absolutely adorable, loaded with charm and character however this may NOT suit some guests. The loft is accessed by way of a ladder with a 250 lb. weight limit. There is no bathroom or water up there, nevertheless this is probably one of the nicest rooms on the property. Set up in the trees offering the feeling of being in a tree house, a fantastic spot to relax, perhaps read a book, take nap on the queen size bed. We provide clean linens that have been washed in ECO friendly soap.
The main level offers a small well-equipped kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, a large kitchen sink and a farmhouse table with seating for 2. Please note there is no stove/oven. There is a propane BBQ on the patio also.
The living/sitting area has a futon couch which makes a full-size bed, perfect for those who would rather not sleep in the loft or perhaps a 3rd person. There is a small 32-inch Samsung smart TV (no cable service). This cottage also offers wireless internet.
The cottage is best heated by the wood burning stove (we supply the paper, kindling and wood) however there is a small propane wall heater.
For the warmer days there is a wall air conditioner in the loft.
Adjacent to the kitchen area is a full bathroom with the “charm of yesterday” including a claw foot tub with the shower overhead and separate sink. Please note the water heater is small (20 gallons) and may not be suitable for warm baths during the cooler months.
Fresh clean towels that have been washed with ECO friendly soap, are provided for your use.
The steppingstone walkway outside leads to a cute small, covered patio area perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

This vacation home provides free private parking and free Wifi. Calling all adventurers and nature lovers!!! This booking is not for the faint at heart but for those seeking a unique stay that weathers the elements and connects you with Mother Nature in a simple yet comfy micro cabin.

We offer a clean environment, quiet surroundings, and all the privacy you want. Our micro cabin stands tall surrounded by trees and wild animals while the breeze makes you feel far away from your busy life and truly relax.

Outdoor experience with indoor comfort!

There’s nothing that quite beats the feeling of coming back from a long day of exploring, changing into comfy clothes, and relaxing in your own little space surrounded by the peace and quiet of the mountains.

Our Nature Cabin sits on the very back of a 6 acre property with a peaceful and calming view of the back forest trees, allowing you to have privacy but keeping you close to the best Oakhurst has to offer.

Surrounded by nature, you’ll have a chance to spot the deers, bobcats, wild turkeys and occasional bears that might pass by during the day. Do not freak out...they don’t visit us very often ;)

The space is big enough for 2 adults or a couple with a small child (2 adults/1 child) as long as your loved ones are comfortable you are welcomed, just check in with us first.

The space is beautifully decorated and furnished with a comfy queen bed, fluffy pillows and throw blankets. We provide a plush robe, bath towels and shower essentials for when you need to shower or use the restroom since it is located outdoors.

There is NO electricity as we allow for natural light to filter through the enormous window panels that make the front of the cabin. We also provide battery/solar operated lanterns throughout the space for the night or in case you need to walk outside. There are long curtains for when you want to dim the lights and relax but no electricity outlets are provided so we ask that you plan accordingly.

The restroom is detached from the cabin and it is a few steps away through a lighted pathway with motion sensor solar lights. The shower provides hot & cold water that runs on propane gas which we provide. Since the bathroom is outdoors, it does weathers the elements and you will find the occasional leaf and dust that blows with the wind. This does not mean the restroom was not cleaned or sanitized before your stay.

There is an outdoor stone BBQ you can fire up to cook or use as a warm place to gather around the fire at nights. There is plenty of wood around the cabin or you are welcomed to bring your own.

We also provide a portable gas (propane) stove you can use, that utilizes the little propane tanks so you can bring your own. We included basic pots & pans and a bear proof storage cooler in case you bring any food or perishables you would like to keep safe.

We have free roaming animals to include horses, cats, dogs, chickens, donkeys and even an emu. If you do not like animals this might not be the place for you

NOTE- There is a second cabin built to the far left of the property but the spaces are strategically placed and separated enough to allow you to have your own private space.

The restroom sits a few steps away from the cabin and you will have to walk through a lighted pathway powered by solar motion lights. Please DO NOT throw toilet paper down the toilet as this WILL CLOG the restroom and cause significant damage to the septic system.

Please know during snow or rainy weather you will need a 4x4 and chains to access the roads around.

There is NO electricity in the cabin, you can be truly disconnected or you can also bring your own portable charger or whatever gadgets you might need to make your stay more comfortable.

There is ONE outlet installed by the restroom to help you recharge the fan/AC/lantern or your own gadgets.

The outdoor fire pit can be used as much as you like. You can collect wood from around the property, bring your own wood or charcoal OR you can bring your portable stove/grill. We are very flexible and want to make sure you enjoy your stay, just be aware of your surroundings and never leave an open flame unattended.

For winter rentals, we have a wall mounted heater for the winter nights that runs on propane which we provide.

There will be insects around you since this is truly a nature cabin. There is no way around it. :)

Guests can expect to experience a little animal love during their stay. We have free roaming animals such as horses, emus, dogs, chickens, ducks and mini mules. They are all docile and friendly but as always we ask that you respect them and do not chase, feed or bother them.

We have over 30 animals and they all free roam the entire property.
Please DO NOT DRIVE OFF UNTIL FRONT GATE IS FULLY CLOSED. I would suggest that if it’s two of you…one of you stand by the gate until it’s fully closed to avoid the animals from escaping. We are travelers ourselves and we aren’t always home to assist getting them back in so plz be extra careful and scare them away if you have to before opening the gates.

Guests are able to access the rental cabin, the outdoor bathroom and walk around our property which is 6 acres surrounded by trees and wildlife.

We are travelers ourselves and you might see us very seldom. Therefore, we have a team of housekeepers and ranchers that take care of the animals, property and the airbnbs. If we are home, we would love to meet you! Our home sits towards the front of the property and we would love to provide you recommendations on hikes and places to go.
