WHAT'S PROVIDED:
For your convenience, we provide the following items: dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, basic cooking supplies, spices, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. These items are offered as a courtesy but are not guaranteed. For larger parties or extended stays, you may need to purchase additional supplies.

We provide all freshly laundered linens for your stay, including towels, sheets, pillowcases, pillows, quilts, and blankets. For your outdoor cookout needs, a propane BBQ is ready to go, complete with propane—just be sure to clean up after use.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. For your caffeine fix, both a Keurig and a full-size coffee pot are available. Please note that the property does not have a dishwasher.

Free Wi-Fi is provided, and the TVs are equipped with Sling app for your streaming entertainment. To ensure your comfort year-round, the property also features both heating and air conditioning.

***There is no landline telephone line at the property. Cell service for most carriers is available.

***High Speed Internet is provided and is the fastest WiFi available in the area. Service will occasionally be on and off due to mountain location, altitude, and weather.

***Property is located in the mountains, thus it is located in a wildlife area. Especially between March and November, there is a possibility of seeing Bears and other wildlife. It is extremely important to not leave any food or trash outside or in vehicles, that vehicles are locked at all times, and that windows lower than 10 feet from the ground are not left open at night or when leaving the property.

***Property is located in the mountains, which is home to various species of snakes, scorpions, and many other types of bugs and reptiles. Please be cognizant of your surroundings and do not leave children unattended.

***Please be advised we do have one external camera located on the front porch. We do not reside in the property full time and use the camera to monitor for property security.

***We do not offer cancellations, refunds, reschedules, or credits of any kind for weather conditions, and/or park closures as these are beyond our control. We strongly suggest that guests purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if weather and/or park closures are a concern.

***Please be advised that there will be third parties periodically on site at the property to perform water filtration, landscaping, and pest spraying services.

***Due to our mountain location our water contains minerals which can impact the hardness and taste. The water is safe to drink and the home has a water softener. If you are sensitive to taste we recommend that you bring bottled water for your stay.

I would like to welcome you to the beautiful and amazing fresh air of the Sierra National forest amongst 100 and 200 foot cedar and pine trees in this almost 1800 Sq. Foot, 2 story chalet style cabin. It is located in the amazing and serene community of the historic Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Company, which was the largest, most successful lumber operation in the west. Sugar pine is just below Fish Camp on the way to Yosemite just minutes from the park entrance. This beautiful 2 story chalet style cabin sits high amongst the tall majestic Pine, Cedar and Fir trees. Open the back door and step out into the forest, a comfortable seating area, and gas fire pit provide the perfect ambience for a dinner on the front deck or just to relax among the tall trees and enjoy the peace, quiet and forest scents. The cabin is located 8 miles north of Oakhurst off of highway 41, just 7 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park and 20 minutes to Bass Lake. The upstairs master bedroom and a loft has views of the pines, and has a private 3/4 bath and a wall mounted t.v. A childs room with an amazing skylight over a twin bed shares the upper floor. The main floor offers a fully stocked kitchen with dinnerware, appliances, and all the amenities needed. The second bedroom with a 50 inch wall mounted TV, the second bathroom and the great room. The dining area has a table for 6, breakfast bar for 3 and wood burning fireplace. The living room has 2 large futons plus one additional rocking chair and a 75 inch television. Old historic Lewis Creek runs nearby, and the entrance to the famous Lewis Creek hike is just below the cabin on Road 630. The Lewis Creek hike boasts 2 very unique waterfalls, Red Rock and Corilieu Falls. Oringally, this creek was used to provide water to the 56 mile flume that took the cut lumber down to Madera during the production years of the lumbar company (1898-1931). The property is only 1 mile off highway 41. Sorry NO PETS Allowed.

Reservation Requirement for 2025
Visitors who plan to enter Yosemite National Park between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Memorial Day weekend, any day between June 15 and August 15, or Labor Day weekend are likely to need a reservation. Visit the Yosemite National Park trip planning website or the NPS App for details, exceptions, and how to make a reservation. This system ensures all visitors, whether they plan in advance or decide last minute, can experience the park each day. It also spreads visitation across the day so that visitors have a better experience.
A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park on some days from May 24 through September 1, 2025, for those driving into the park between 6 am and 2 pm as follows:
May 24 through May 26 (Memorial Day weekend): A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday through Monday.
May 27 through June 14: A reservation is not required at any time.
June 15 through August 15: A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm every day.
August 16 through August 29: A reservation is not required at any time.
August 30 through September 1 (Labor Day weekend): A reservation is required from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturday through Monday.
Driving through the park will also require a reservation if entering between 6 am and 2 pm. If you are planning to visit after peak hours, please do not arrive before 2 pm; vehicles blocking roads will be cited.

The 'Gingerbread House' is a rustic one-of-a-kind storybook A-Frame chalet with a loft. Absolutely adorable, loaded with charm and character however this may NOT suit some guests. The loft is accessed by way of a ladder with a 250 lb. weight limit. There is no bathroom or water up there, nevertheless this is probably one of the nicest rooms on the property. Set up in the trees offering the feeling of being in a tree house, a fantastic spot to relax, perhaps read a book, take nap on the queen size bed. We provide clean linens that have been washed in ECO friendly soap.
The main level offers a small well-equipped kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, a large kitchen sink and a farmhouse table with seating for 2. Please note there is no stove/oven. There is a propane BBQ on the patio also.
The living/sitting area has a futon couch which makes a full-size bed, perfect for those who would rather not sleep in the loft or perhaps a 3rd person. There is a small 32-inch Samsung smart TV (no cable service). This cottage also offers wireless internet.
The cottage is best heated by the wood burning stove (we supply the paper, kindling and wood) however there is a small propane wall heater.
For the warmer days there is a wall air conditioner in the loft.
Adjacent to the kitchen area is a full bathroom with the “charm of yesterday” including a claw foot tub with the shower overhead and separate sink. Please note the water heater is small (20 gallons) and may not be suitable for warm baths during the cooler months.
Fresh clean towels that have been washed with ECO friendly soap, are provided for your use.
The steppingstone walkway outside leads to a cute small, covered patio area perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

There’s nothing that quite beats the feeling of coming back from a long day of exploring, changing into comfy clothes, and relaxing in your own little space surrounded by the peace and quiet of the mountains.

Our Nature Cabin sits on the very back of a 6 acre property with a peaceful and calming view of the back forest trees, allowing you to have privacy but keeping you close to the best Oakhurst has to offer.

Surrounded by nature, you’ll have a chance to spot the deers, bobcats, wild turkeys and occasional bears that might pass by during the day. Do not freak out...they don’t visit us very often ;)

The space is big enough for 2 adults or a couple with a small child (2 adults/1 child) as long as your loved ones are comfortable you are welcomed, just check in with us first.

The space is beautifully decorated and furnished with a comfy queen bed, fluffy pillows and throw blankets. We provide a plush robe, bath towels and shower essentials for when you need to shower or use the restroom since it is located outdoors.

There is NO electricity as we allow for natural light to filter through the enormous window panels that make the front of the cabin. We also provide battery/solar operated lanterns throughout the space for the night or in case you need to walk outside. There are long curtains for when you want to dim the lights and relax but no electricity outlets are provided so we ask that you plan accordingly.

The restroom is detached from the cabin and it is a few steps away through a lighted pathway with motion sensor solar lights. The shower provides hot & cold water that runs on propane gas which we provide. Since the bathroom is outdoors, it does weathers the elements and you will find the occasional leaf and dust that blows with the wind. This does not mean the restroom was not cleaned or sanitized before your stay.

There is an outdoor stone BBQ you can fire up to cook or use as a warm place to gather around the fire at nights. There is plenty of wood around the cabin or you are welcomed to bring your own.

We also provide a portable gas (propane) stove you can use, that utilizes the little propane tanks so you can bring your own. We included basic pots & pans and a bear proof storage cooler in case you bring any food or perishables you would like to keep safe.

We have free roaming animals to include horses, cats, dogs, chickens, donkeys and even an emu. If you do not like animals this might not be the place for you

The restroom sits a few steps away from the cabin and you will have to walk through a lighted pathway powered by solar motion lights. Please DO NOT throw toilet paper down the toilet as this WILL CLOG the restroom and cause significant damage to the septic system.

Please know during snow or rainy weather you will need a 4x4 and chains to access the roads around.

There is NO electricity in the cabin, you can be truly disconnected or you can also bring your own portable charger or whatever gadgets you might need to make your stay more comfortable.

There is ONE outlet installed by the restroom to help you recharge the fan/AC/lantern or your own gadgets.

The outdoor fire pit can be used as much as you like. You can collect wood from around the property, bring your own wood or charcoal OR you can bring your portable stove/grill. We are very flexible and want to make sure you enjoy your stay, just be aware of your surroundings and never leave an open flame unattended.

For winter rentals, we have a wall mounted heater for the winter nights that runs on propane which we provide.

There will be insects around you since this is truly a nature cabin. There is no way around it. :)

Guests can expect to experience a little animal love during their stay. We have free roaming animals such as horses, emus, dogs, chickens, ducks and mini mules. They are all docile and friendly but as always we ask that you respect them and do not chase, feed or bother them.

Please DO NOT DRIVE OFF UNTIL FRONT GATE IS FULLY CLOSED. I would suggest that if it’s two of you…one of you stand by the gate until it’s fully closed to avoid the animals from escaping. We are travelers ourselves and we aren’t always home to assist getting them back in so plz be extra careful and scare them away if you have to before opening the gates.

Guests are able to access the rental cabin, the outdoor bathroom and walk around our property which is 6 acres surrounded by trees and wildlife.

We are travelers ourselves and you might see us very seldom. Therefore, we have a team of housekeepers and ranchers that take care of the animals, property and the airbnbs. If we are home, we would love to meet you! Our home sits towards the front of the property and we would love to provide you recommendations on hikes and places to go.

We suggest using your own vehicle to get around, though Uber and Lyft are available on busy weekends. - "We stayed for two nights for a quick trip to visit Yosemite NP. This is a hidden gem. We were a family of (4) and had plenty of space to spread out. You can tell that this cabin has been recently updated. It is very secluded at the end of a small road. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to make your own meals. Although we enjoyed dining in Oakhurst (only 15 minutes away). The bed linens and towels were very nice. My wife felt the king size mattress in the basement bedroom was to hard (but I slept ok). Check in and communicate with host was very easy. He provided several short videos to make sure we understand everything about various items in the cabin. Would definitely go back!"

Stay in this lovely cabin, Just 30 minutes from breathtaking Yosemite National Park, and less than 15 minutes from Bass Lake. This is the perfect getaway for the traveler looking for relaxation; warm fellowship after a day in Yosemite, or beautiful Bass Lake. The mountain town of Oakhurst is just minutes away. While there are many gorgeous hikes in Yosemite, you can also take some lovely local hikes. In Oakhurst you can enjoy, a theater, fine or casual dining, axe throwing local events and festivities, ice skating at the Tenaya Lodge, and there are grocery, hardware, clothing, and sporting good stores. There are occasional snowy days in the winter. There is a lovely christmas celebration a few days in December, and there's no better place to celebrate Christmas. The whole cabin, upstairs and downstairs, is available in another listing called Drews Retreat Yosemite Oakhurst, in case you have 6 or 8 guests, but THIS listing is for smaller groups who come with 2-4 guests and prefer a cozy setting. No one shares the cabin with our guests, so we lock the upstairs... saving costs, and we pass that savings on to our guests, by charging less for the downstairs only. The yard is frequented by deer, racoons, squirrels, bear, foxes, birds, an occasional mountain lion. Enjoy BBQs on the spacious back deck, or meals in the open floor plan living/dining inside. This charming cottage is one of 3 cottages on the property (Blue Door, Orange Door and Red Door). You will go to the cottage with the Blue Door and use the personalized door code provided after booking to access the home.
The proximity to Yosemite and Bass Lake from Sky Ranch make the Red Door Cottage the perfect location for visiting both.
The living room features open beam ceilings and a stone fireplace. Off the dining room is a private deck overlooking the backyard and wooded views. A well appointed kitchen includes a blender, a programmable coffee maker, dishwasher and utensils.
Special attention is given to guest comfort. Each bedroom has a king size memory foam bed with luxury bedding, down pillows and alternative filled pillows. The bedrooms and bathroom have individually controlled heaters. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub combination, hand soaps, toilet paper and fresh towels. From the back deck you can look over the fenced yard. In the back of the property is a barn and meadow where you can walk around and stretch your legs. For the more active hikers, Fresno Dome is just up the road from the cottage and has spectacular views, hiking and fishing. Off road vehicles are welcome and can be parked in the lower barn area (please inquire on parking restrictions)

Red-tail Fox, Deers and Turkeys are very common to be found on the driveway, (if you are lucky you can also see a black bear) - please respect wildlife as much as you appreciate it. Drive slowly from the entrance gate till the driveway, enjoying the Vista point on your right.

Absolutely no fires or open flames of any kind, during fire season. Please ask the host for permission before using the fire pit, to make sure you are complying with local laws and regulations.

No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control such as closure of the Yosemite National park.

Welcome to Conifer Cabin!

We are centrally located just 25 minutes from Yosemite National Park's Southern Entrance and have all the modern comforts for a restful stay for two:

- soak in the hot tub under the soaring pines

- prepare a home-cooked meal in the full kitchen

- cuddle up with a book or movie on the couch

We are also 5 minutes from downtown Oakhurst, which has a variety of restaurants and other conveniences like Superchargers.

NO PETS AT ALL PLEASE. My family uses this cabin regularly and some of us are very allergic.

Remarkable 40 foot wall of windows overlooking the mountains, vistas and the Oakhurst valley below. Fabulous for a couple or a small family.

The space
This beautiful cabin is estimated to have been built in the 1960's and is about 12 miles away from the South Gate Entrance of Yosemite National Park.

The Living room is paneled in knotty pine and has a wood beamed ceiling. A huge stone fireplace spans the width of the room.

The full kitchen includes a dishwasher, ample countertops and a built-in breakfast bar and stools.

Located directly off the kitchen is the 40-foot-long sun-room with a full view of the valley below. The sun-room doubles as a dining room. The sun-room has a high table with stools against one window which overlook the valley, for computer use or coffee/wine.

Two Bedrooms - both bedrooms are paneled in knotty pine. The smaller bedroom has a queen bed. The larger bedroom has a king bed. The king bedroom includes a small sitting area open to the back yard through a sliding door.

ONE THING TO NOTE ABOUT THE TWO BEDROOMS - it is necessary to walk through the QUEEN bedroom to get to the KING bedroom! Great for kids!

Bathroom - One bathroom with a large bathtub and shower. Long bathroom sink countertop and mirror. Bathroom window looks onto the private side yard, surrounding hills and large boulders.

This is a two bedroom, 1 full bath and a 3/4 bath, full kitchen, private home set on a picturesque 1 acre. You have full and private use of the property. The Old Corral Market is less than 1/4 mile away and you are 2 miles from Hwy. 41, 2 miles to Bass Lake, 5 miles from Oakhurst and 15 miles to Yosemite National Park gate. You can roast marshmallows around the outdoor, stone fire pit or cook those steaks on the 5 burner outdoor BBQ. A large, full service kitchen is stocked with the essentials. Cool breezes flow up the hill as you relax and enjoy the view from the glider swing.
I can leave a key for you under the front doormat and lights on if you like the flexibility of arriving whenever you want. If you would rather, I can meet you in Oakhurst and give you the key or I can drive there and you follow me in your vehicle.
The kitchen is ready for you to cook with a full array of pots, pans, blender, toaster, and dishes. I also provide Starbucks coffee, creamer, milk, eggs, butter, cooking oil, condiments, salad dressings, sugar, flour, etc.
Raley's and Vons supermarkets are in Oakhurst and the Old Corral Market is less than 1/4 mile from you.

This area is safe, private and quiet. No one else will access the property during your stay. We are longtime, good friends with the occupants in other houses nearby. It is completely safe to sleep with windows open if you choose to. While we remodeled last summer we left all windows open day and night for 5 months and we were not even there at night.

You’ll love our place because we are in a real log cabin, two blocks from the main highway to Yosemite. 20 minutes to the South Gate of Yosemite, 11 minutes to Bass Lake. You will have your own mini refrigerator and coffee maker and access to the deck.

Orange Door Cottage is one of 3 dog friendly cottages (inquire about renting more than one for a larger group) on 2.5 acres in Sierra Sky Ranch. Just north of Oakhurst and 2 minutes off Hwy 41, access is easy and plenty of parking. Orange Door is spacious and features two bedrooms, each has a king size bed, 1 full bath, a comfortable living room and a queen airbed if needed. A private deck with BBQ overlooks the acreage. Well behaved dogs are welcome, see pet rules. Located 20 minutes from the South entrance to Yosemite and 10 minutes to Bass Lake.

*Pets must not be left unattended in the home at any time
*Pets are charged a $20 per pet per night fee, plus a refundable $150 pet deposit after booking.

This charming cottage is one of 3 cottages on the property (Blue Door, Orange Door and Red Door). You will go to the cottage with the Orange Door and use the personalized door code provided after booking to access the home.
The living room features open beam ceilings and a stone fireplace. Off the dining room is a private deck overlooking the backyard and wooded views. A well appointed kitchen includes a blender, a programmable coffee maker, dishwasher and utensils.
Special attention is given to guest comfort. Each bedroom has a king size memory foam bed with luxury bedding, down pillows and alternative filled pillows. The bedrooms and bathroom have individually controlled heaters. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub combination, hand soaps, toilet paper and fresh towels. From the back deck you can look over the fenced yard. In the back of the property is a barn and meadow where you can walk around and stretch your legs. For the more active hikers, Fresno Dome is just up the road from the cottage and has spectacular views, hiking and fishing. Off road vehicles are welcome and can be parked in the lower barn area (please inquire on parking restrictions)
These cottages make for a pleasant individual or group stay, and provide a delightful getaway to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Yosemite area. For group stays in the other cottages just contact us. We encourage you to sign the guest book for comments on your stay, thank you.

The space
This is a private home. You will have the house to yourself. Meandering grounds to walk around. There are 14 stairs to get from the driveway to the main level of the house. There is an expansive deck to hang out on with a couch seating area, BBQ, two tables for dining, charming patio lights. The living room is spacious and flows to the dining room and kitchen. The well appointed bedrooms are very comfortable. Although we allow children under 2, there are no baby gates. House is not baby proof.

If you book and decide to depart on the following holidays, you will be assessed an additional $50 cleaning fee. This goes directly to the cleaners. A beautiful and peaceful Cabin hidden in the Historical Sugar Pine Logging Camp in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Cabin is 8 miles away from Yosemite National Park South Entrance, 8 miles to the beautiful Bass Lake and 2 miles from Lewis Creek Trail South Trailhead (Parking Lot) and only over a 100 feet away from the Lewis Creek North Trailhead Entrance. Red Rock Falls is also over a mile hike from the Cabin. If you’re in need of a kitchen you can always book the upstairs part of the cabin.

The space
This is a cozy and spacious downstairs bedroom with a nice comfortable Queen Bed, Smart TV and your own restroom. This downstairs bedroom does not have a kitchen or sink only a kitchenette which equipped with Refrigerator, Microwave, Electric Kettle, Keurig Coffee Maker and condiments. This bedroom also has a heater, a stand fan and a vintage radio all ready to use.

This downstairs bedroom has large deck, a new addition that is yours exclusively and will enhance your outdoor experience, from the deck you can hear the cool rushing waters of Lewis Creek making its way down the mountain, watch the busy little Steller’s Jays, squirrels and hummingbirds as they go about their daily routines. You may even spot an occasional bear. You can also hear the Steam powered “ Logger” train of the Madera Sugar Pine Logging Company as it embarks on its hourly tours through the beautiful timbered mountain side. If you are up for a hike, the Lewis Creek hiking trail is walking distance from the cabin. You can also book the upstairs level with a full kitchen.

Parking for Chiela’s SugarPine Cabin is right along the road side at 49988 Locust Rd. at the Poplar-Locust Loop. Once parked you can take the stairway down past the upper living space to access the downstairs living space at 49988 B. It is a good neighbor practice to fold your drivers side mirror in if possible due to the narrow road access.
The key is in the lockbox right at the little red door!

There is a private pond in the local area that belongs to the Sugar Pine Christian Camp… you are welcome to walk the area around the ponds and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area but pond access is for the guests at the camp. Adjacent to the Fire House there is a bridge at Lewis Creek, the creek is frequently planted with trout and you are welcome to use the fishing poles on the wall and the tackle box outside of the cabin lower front door providing you buy a daily rate fishing license so you don’t catch a fine by the local Fish and Game Warden. Fishing Licenses can be purchased at the Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Oakhurst or any other place that may sell them.

The gamer's garage is equipped with a foosball table, arcade basketball, a ping pong table, a dart board, an air hockey table, and a pong video game console table that has 12 games for you to play! There is a washer and dryer located in the garage as well. If you need to do a load of laundry during your stay, just help yourself and kick some butt at ping pong or foosball while it washes!

8 miles to the south entrance to Yosemite National Park this home sits on 1 acre of land surrounded by National Forest. Year round Lewis Creek offers fishing and a relaxing atmosphere. Only a 1.5 mile hike to beautiful Corlieu Falls and 8 miles to Bass Lake water sports, picnicking, swimming hiking and dining. Badger Pass in Yosemite offers excellent skiing during the winter months and is only 45 min away.

The cabin offers an excellent place to relax after a long day of exploring Yosemite.

Access to the house is through common areas, but your bedroom and bathroom are private. Indoor fireplace and wood stove keep the house cozy in winter months. An additional bedroom with a double bed and private bathroom is available for two people an extra charge of $100.00 per night to use this additional room.

Welcome to my cozy 2br cabin located just 10 miles to the South Gate Entrance to Yosemite. The cabin setting has a lovely year round creek right outside your back door. Hiking trails and waterfalls are minutes away. A one-of-a-kind rental with natural surroundings on almost one acre of land. Enjoy the solitude and unplug from the hectic pace of modern life.

The space
This is a unique property with almost one acre of land and a year round creek (Lewis Creek). Listen to the babbling creek from your bedroom window and back porch. You can often see wildlife on the property.

There are a lot of outdoor activities nearby, even without taking the drive to Yosemite. Waterfalls, hiking, and Bass Lake. You can stay at my cabin for days with lots of things to do (in case Yosemite is unexpectedly closed or if you simply want to avoid the crowds).

The cabin is rustic, simple and cozy. As an older structure there is a definite charm to it. Please note this is not a luxury hotel. The wood burning fireplace serves as the hearth, and located centrally inside the house. Please bring firewood (Duraflame for ease) for the fireplace. There's also a mini-split for cooling and heating in the living room.

The kitchen will be stocked for most of your cooking needs. There are plenty of VHS videos to choose from. Board games and books are available for guests' enjoyment.

Please be respectful of the peaceful quiet nature. No loud parties allowed.

Because the cabin is an older structure, please keep in mind:
1) There is NO cell phone reception on the property, but good wifi.
2) The outlets and switches are placed in unusual locations.
3) To use the fireplace, please bring firewood or Duraflame. Portable heaters/fans available in the bedrooms.
4) Because of the rural nature of the area, toilet is on septic. Please put only toilet paper in the toilet.
5) The septic tank is located in front of the cabin. Please park your cars to the left side of the cabin.
6) Pets are allowed with an additional fee of $100 (each pet)
7) Quiet hours from 10pm-7am

Enjoy a bbq grill on the back porch, right next to the creek! We ask that guests clean the grill thoroughly after use before checking out of the cabin. We try our best to keep the propane full. The propane gas may be empty and easily filled at the local hardware store.

During winter months, be prepared for snow. You may need tire chains or 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the property and to get to the park. Stay updated with Caltrans website or Yosemite website for road conditions for Highway 41.

Deer and squirrels can often be seen. It's located in the mountains and sometimes has ants and or spiders, we have the home serviced by a pest company but you want to aware of the possibility. If this will bother you we suggest you stay in a hotel. We love our home and hope you do too.

No matter what season, there is something magical to see in the mountains! Moderate temperatures for hiking, a wonderland of light for photographers, & the waterfalls! The roads to Yosemite Valley are almost always open and clear, giving access to all of the drama & splendor of the Valley's 3,000-foot canyon walls & falls. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, cycling & much more. There are also many wonderful sites & adventures away from the park, including Bass Lake just 15 minutes away. Just ask us!

Our Lovers' Cabin is perfect for your honeymoon or weekend getaway. Solitude is prime here. Built entirely of pine and cedar with Craftsman details, the cabin is a fine warm space to wile away the hours. The art deco bathroom -- with an expansive shower -- invites you to spend some quality time with a friend. Hungry? The kitchenette includes a coffee maker, hot plate, electric rice cooker with vegetable steamer, toaster, microwave and full refrigerator. Propane grill on the porch with a side burner. The town of Oakhurst, a five-minute drive, offers three grocery stores and a variety of dining establishments.

Guest access
Our guests have full access to the grounds - 2.5 acres of walking paths, play areas and meditative perches. The cabin is tucked away in a private corner. Wander the paths, sun on the rocks, discover a shady nook, or lay out a picnic blanket. The property is yours to explore. Feeling active? Challenge us to a game of kickball! Yoga is also provided on the property! We also have
a rental suite on the property, so guests may share the property at times.

Other things to note
There is absolutely NO SMOKING on the property!

We live in a wooded environment in California's foothills, a region prone to wildfires in the summer months. Outdoor flames and are permitted only in the propane grills during the dry months of summer. No candles or smoking of any kind anywhere on the property please.

The space
We offer 2 Queen beds, 1 newly renovated bathroom with a very spacious living room. The large deck outside offers a beautiful view of the many Pine, Cedar, Oak and Dogwood trees with several seating options including a swing. Perfect for outdoor dining and grilling or a relaxing spa.

Guest access
Checkin and checkout times are STRICTLY enforced to allow proper COVID cleaning compliance. Please no early arrivals. There may be additional fees incurred for late departures.

Guests need to be aware that this entire area is vulnerable to wild fires.
OUTDOOR FIRES OF ANY KIND ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. NO EXCEPTIONS!

WARNING - during snowstorms our parking is not maintained on a schedule. You may have to park 1/2 mile away and walk your belongings in or out. Snow shoveling may be necessary to access the cabin. Shovel provided. You must have an SUV with clearance, all wheel drive, or a 4x4 with snowchains.
2 wheel drive vehicles are required to have snow chains.
We are not responsible for your vehicle if you get snowed in or out.

Refunds are not given due to inclement weather. Travel insurance recommended during the winter months from Nov - March.

~~~NOTE - Cellular service is very spotty in the Sugarpine community, please make sure you have driving directions written down prior to leaving Oakhurst. Our neighbors are very friendly if you find yourself in any sort of trouble.

~~~CAUTION - If you are booking during the winter months you will need to have a 4 wheel drive or an all wheel drive vehicle with ground clearance if you want to park at the cabin. There is no snow removal or road maintenance for Brammer and Poplar roads. Please view the winter picture of the cabin for an idea of what this road may look like during extreme weather.
Winter parking is available at the community center which is approx. 50 yards from Della's cabin. You should also have weather appropriate footwear!
