It’s quiet , great place to spend you weekend to get some R&R" - "Loved our stay in AutoCamp. Travelled with family of two little 8 year old and the place is awesome" - "We really enjoyed our stay here. The experience of just being out there with fire pit and stargazing was awesome. It looks a bit crowded in real life than in pictures but its not really a deal breaker since guests are respectful of each other. Staff are great too… always smiling and helpful. I just have to commend one of their staff who was alone manning the front desk and kitchen & just taking care of all of the guests. It was kinda stressful but she handled it very well. (I just didn’t get her name though) "

This charming century-old cottage blends history with modern comfort, including an outdoor hot tub. Located perfectly between Yosemite’s two main entrances, you’ll have easy access to both the park’s unique landscapes. Just a short drive away, explore the old gold-mining town of Mariposa for a taste of local history. Enjoy unforgettable stargazing right from the property, under clear, dark skies. This cabin offers an escape; warming by the fireplace or soaking in the hot tub under the stars.
In the cabin you’ll find all the amenities you will need in this highly upgraded 3 bedroom cozy home with 2 full baths When you walk in, you won't find the musty stuffiness, typical of many vacation rentals. The modern kitchen has all solid stone surface counters and is decorated to look and feel like an old style farmhouse. You will also find it fully stocked with pots, pans, bakeware and an array of spices.
There are 2 flat screen smart TV's, FAST free Wi-Fi. Verizon and T-Mobile work well on the property, AT&T is spotty.
You’ll find 1 bedroom downstairs with its own bath, another full bathroom in the hallway and 2 more bedrooms upstairs. Natural materials were used to accent the home’s history lending to its warmth and the charm of times gone by. Look and you’ll see wood in the home that's about 100 years old. The floors upstairs are original but reworked during the renovation. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open, allowing you to enjoy watching your favorite movies or shows and to stay warm with the fireplace in the cooler months.
We have central air-conditioning and heat for your comfort any time of the year (a rare, desirable feature in such rustic homes, as opposed to typical noisy wall units). You'll find a new, easily accessible laundry room with washer and dryer. Here is another nice unique feature - you won't be bothered while trying to sleep by creaky floorboards with people walking above - the downstairs master bedroom has no second floor above it.
There are two outside sitting areas - one is a front porch looking at the woodlands and any wildlife and the other belongs to the master bedroom with its own private deck to sit, allowing some private time. We provide a BBQ and propane for you, along with a rock fire pit, that can be used except during fire season. The outside area is large and level, making it a great place for kids to play, ride bikes and explore nearby. Set on 40 acres, the property will invite you to stay, relax and take leisurely hikes and enjoy the forested and scenic views of the Sierras from locations on the property. Peace and quiet are the best things you’ll notice when you stay at the cabin. The dark night sky is perfect for stargazing.
The cabin is set back just off the main route 49, near the historic town of Mariposa and is halfway between two entrances to Yosemite Park. You’ll want to sample both easy but different drives into Yosemite - either via the west entrance with HWY 140 along the valley floor beside the Merced River or via the south entrance with HWY 41 through the Sierra mountains.
This location is a great place to retreat to after a busy day with the crowds of summer in Yosemite. The cabin is also a great hideaway in the fall, winter and spring. As the temperature drops, the property, with its special setting, may welcome you with a beautiful snowscape.
Come and visit! You won’t want to leave.

- "We had an amazing experience In this beautiful cottage !!" - "My husband and sons (7 and 10) spent 3 nights at this clean, comfortable and well equipped cabin. We spent most of our time at Yosemite which is about a 45 min drive but definitely worth it to stay at this property. Hot tub under the stars was awesome!" - "Cabin is absolutely fantastic. Completely stocked with everything you need. Proximity to Yosemite is great with wide open areas to relax once you come back. Unfortunately a fire broke out approx 10 miles away. With that the utilities company shut off the power and water. Contacted management but no reply till we were packed up and leaving about 24 hours later. But it was the 4th of July holiday. Temperatures at about 100 degrees with no power (A/C) we left one day early. Bummed we weren’t able to stay another day to enjoy this property"

- "Finding a comfortable place for a family of 7 is no easy task. This house fit the bill just perfectly! The kitchen had everything we could have needed. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Because of summer traffic, it took about an hour to get to the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite, but the ride along the Merced River was a beautiful part of the journey. It was also nice to be so close to Mariposa. The house is listed as 3 bedroom, but there is a door between the two spaces in the loft which makes it feel like a 4 bedroom. Just be sure that the people sleeping in the loft are okay with coming downstairs to use the bathroom. It wasn’t a problem for us at all. Communication with the owner was pleasant and all messages were answered quickly. Highly recommended!"

- "Loved the well equipped house, very comfortable. Enjoyed seeing and learning about the various animals; Beth was most informative. Rode the Sugar Pine Railroad. Some of our group went to McClure lake for water water sports. Enjoyed the History museum in Mariposa. Got the most out of the pool and hot tub and the game room with so many games available. Best place for a group gathering." - "Very nice house on large country property. Well maintained. Helpful host. Many amenities of various kinds. One hour drive to Yosemite valley. The best we have ever stayed at."

Cozy Bear Hollow is just 2 minutes from Mariposa, the "Gateway to Yosemite National Park, Two Bedrooms, a cozy living room, full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a hot tub under the trees. Grace Oak's Cozy Hollow is a lovely little home for your retreat or getaway. Nestled in mountains, just two minutes from Mariposa, 'The Gateway to Yosemite,' and decorated with the theme of the wildlife that roam nearby, you'll enjoy coming home to this retreat after a day in Yosemite, or Historic Mariposa. The home features a hot tub, deck, fire circle, TV, Books, Wifi, a fully functional kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Nearby Mariposa and other historic towns like Coulterville, Hornitos, Bear Valley, the Mariposa Museum, and the State Mineral Exhibit are fun to explore. In the summer the town is alive with tourists, weekend 'Music on the Green' featuring local artists in a lovely park setting, occasional open air movies on the park lawn. A fun time to visit is in the spring, when the falls in Yosemite are running. Mariposa has it's butterfly festival, and parade (usually the first weekend in May.) The poppies in the Briceburg canyon are breath-taking. Fall is also wonderful; Starting with the Labor Day Parade and old fashioned Mariposa County Fair. I love the colors that come with the changing of the leaves, and the crisp air. Winter is great, especially if we have a few snows! The Mariposa Christmas parade is usually the first weekend in December, as is the annual Christmas Craft fair. Yosemite offers some fun activities at the Ahwanee, as well as ice skating, and skiing in the village, or it's always fun to drive there to see the Lord's majestic Creation. It's also fun to just relax at Grace Oak's Cozy Hollow... away from the hustle and on the porch and watch for deer, (which I see here everyday) wild turkeys, quail,& rabbits, while you enjoy a good book...
( and I just saw a coyote there today.) Roast marshmellows around our gas fire pit, or hang out under the stars in our Hot tub. Nothing beats a family Christmas away from the city. Get away and remember what a simple quiet Christmas is really all about. You can't beat the price... two bedrooms, a gathering room and a kitchen for the same price of one little stuffy hotel room. What do you have to lose?. ;)
- "We sincerely enjoyed your home!! The beds were super comfy. The owner quickly responded to our messages. The hot tub is cozy for 4 adults but doable, the clubhouse is smaller than expected as well as the pool table was not full size, but the guys had fun. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, could use some updated frying pans for sure., but we again managed. We would stay again for sure. This house made a great home for our long weekend!!"

- "We always stay in hotel, and as much as its nice to have room service, beds made etc, this was such a nice little home away from home. Literally everything we needed was there, towels, kitchen appliances, etc. Hot tub was a little tricky to figure out with the jets, but it worked out. Wifi was great, lots of space, and really clean. I've already recommended it to others who are planning to visit Yosemite." - "This house was perfect for our needs and loved seeing deer in the front yard in the morning!"
