The manager checks in with you and is reachable via text or phone call. I asked if there was laundry facilities and they responded quickly. They have two sets of washer/dryers, one upstairs, one downstairs. The manager on site was very kind and personable. It is also walking distance to everything, shopping, restaurants, etc. We had a great experience staying at the Gondola lodge and we’ll definitely be back again. "

I received two emails period to our stay, we arrived at the property after a 4 hour drive to Lake Tahoe only to be told by Michelle that I need to hush up and listen to her instructions. No where in the email did it state there was a lockbox on the front door the only code in the email was for the jacuzzi which was wide open when we arrived. The next morning we attempted to throw the trash we couldn’t find the key to the dumpster I looked through my email I looked the house rule book and no explanation on how or where the key was. I was hesitant but I had to call Michelle back but this time she didn’t answer AT ALL so we had to have the trash in the house bagged all day while at the lake. The WiFi worked when it wanted. Dishwasher didn’t work at all. Lights in the kitchen were dim because the bulbs were out. If I had the choice of renting the property again I’d look for another place. My family and I travel a lot and this is the first time I experienced something like Michelle. I was very surprised Tahoe is such a popular vacation spot and with amount of money we spent on the house I expected to be treated with a little bit more respect. The surrounding lakes and activities in the area is amazing dispute having to stay at the property..."

We met the host, he was cordial and claimed the place was cleaned, so thought nothing of it until we spent a couple hours there. He went out to get toilet paper because of course there wasn't any. I'm far from a clean freak, but this place gave me the willies. Everything was adding insult to injury. Some other 'amenities' that you might not be aware of: -Nasty dishes in sink. Dirty dishes in cabinet -Nice 'Open Air Ant Farm' in the bathroom sink. Greetings! Our family cabin has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, about 1400 sq. ft. and has been recently remodeled in many areas. It' s a two story home, with a few flights of stairs needed to take to access the house. There is ample driveway parking. There is a bear box on the property. The cabin has a relatively large backyard with a semi-covered deck with seating and a picnic table. The backyard is not fully enclosed as the driveway is not fenced. We do have close neighbors that live behind the house and to the right of the house and they have some dogs you might hear. The location is very ideal for walking around to nearby restaurants, Whole Foods, Boba Tea, Alpine Bakery, Lake Tahoe and much more! Enjoy the beauty of South Lake Tahoe! There is so much to do year round.

Other things to note:
We can only rent out 30 days at a time (that’s been prearranged.) No consecutive months rental period are allowed. The house is used at various times throughout the year. Also, you must be 25 years or older to rent the cabin, no exceptions. Thanks.

Bearstone Cabin .. Cozy rustic cabin in the City of South Lake Tahoe California. Awesome location with updated amenities with the charm of a century old cabin feel. This cabin has the space you need as it was well thought out for the maximum usage, with lots of storage for your needs and plugs for your gadgets too. Full Kitchen, with Nice Stainless Steel refrigerator, oven and cooktop, also has microwave, coffee maker, toaster and gas bbq grill. Nice Granite countertops with eat at bar. Nice Beds: Queen-size bed in upstairs bedroom. Full size bed with twin bed in the loft area upstairs. All of the mattresses are nice and comfortable. Also updated all of the appliances, fixtures and many of the details of the entire cabin. Double pane windows with one touch window coverings. Has a Washer / Dryer, but it is only an apartment sized, so please do not overload. Pine trees surround the lot, with a glimpse of Heavenly Ski mountain through the trees. About half mile to Heavenly Village and Casinos. Less than half mile to lake beach. Many restaurants within 2 or 3 blocks. You will enjoy relaxing here, it is conveniently located to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Really nice neighbors too, say hello when there. The cabin amenities are good, particularly the 1.5 bathrooms, the full-size oven and the nice large refrigerator/freezer. Definitely enough space and amenities to eat all meals "at home" (mostly at the picnic table). It also has a good driveway for two cars. In the area are some easy walks, such as Ski Run Marina, Whole Foods, and a small Friday night Farmers Market with live music (Jun-Sep, I think) that is only five minutes walk away. There are also a number of good bike rides nearby. I especially enjoyed discovering the bike path through Bijou Park, not far from the cabin. You can also bike to a number of beaches (try Regan Beach and park in the late afternoon). Overall, Bearstone Cabin is a great place to stay during height of summer. You are close to lots of things but away from the crowds. I definitely hope to return."

The Bear Creek Cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 living areas and a completely updated new kitchen. The back yard is spacious and allows plenty of room to gather and bbq (BBQ is seasonal)

Located in the beautiful Cold Creek Trail section of South Lake Tahoe. It is an a short 7-10 minute drive to Heavenly' s California Base Lodge or the Gondola at the Heavenly Mountain Resort Village. Depending on your favorite beach spot it is an easy 10-15 minute drive. The Bear Creek Cabin is a perfect spot to stay if you want to come up and: ski, hike, mountain bike, explore, sight see, go to the casinos for shows or playing, multiple dining options are found throughout the South Shore.

The Bear Creek Cabin is a single story home that has been lovingly maintained and upgraded. The front of the house features the living room with a fireplace and windows that overlook several forested lots across the street. The kitchen has been completely remodeled, new granite counters all new stainless steel appliances and is well equipped for those that love to cook. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small dining nook and a spacious family room. The family room is a great place to relax.

There is a slider to the back yard and patio. During the warmer months there is patio furniture and a picnic table. The yard is fenced and has plenty of room for the kids to play no matter what the season is.

There are two bedrooms with all new comforters, pillows and mountain themed décor. The full bath is shared by both bedrooms. In addition there is a laundry room with washer and dryer.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)

Location was right on our way to our favorite ski resort, Kirkwood, on a quiet street; but close enough (10-15 min drive) to the lake and all of the attractions in the area. Come get cozy with us at the cutest little cabin on the South Shore! This home is a 2 bedroom plus bonus 3rd bedroom and 1.5 bath room home, that sleeps 6, is perfect for a small family or 3 couples. What is unique about this home is it has 2 King beds for those tall folks! Parking for 1 car on the driveway. This home has been remodeled with updated bathrooms and kitchen. The furnishings are super cute and create a homey and warm place to lay your head. The living room has a TV with an Amazon stick, cable and a wood burning fireplace. The front deck has a gas fire pit, table, gas bbq and string lights. Great vibes for both Summer and Winter!

- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc.
- WINTER TRAVEL ADVISORY: After the historic Winter of 2023, we recommend 4WD vehicles with snow tires, tire chains and experience driving in the snow. Emphasis on snow tires. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways.
- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shovelled during the Winter.
- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time.
- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans.
- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal bbq’s are prohibited.
- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears.
- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom.
- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :)
- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webbs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings.

The shower could use a hose attachment as the shower head is about five feet high. Don't plan on getting a lot of computer work done as the WiFi is weak, all as advertised. LOCATION
Located in South Lake Tahoe, this home is close to all the fun attractions Lake Tahoe, Meyers, and Echo Lake have to offer. Tube Tahoe is located in Meyers which is South Lake’s prime tubing spot in the Winter. Here you are about 30 minutes to Kirkwood ski resort and 10 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe ski resort and 20 minutes from Heavenly ski resort. You are right off Highway 50 so no sitting in traffic on Sunday mornings to leave. In the summer, you are within a short distance to Paradise Park and Lake Baron which is a local’s best-kept secret. When Lake Tahoe beaches are full, this is where we go to play. Holiday Market is the closest grocery store which is less than a 5-minute drive. The Divided Sky, 3 minutes away, is one of our favorite places to eat. Meyers also has tasty restaurants like Getaway Cafe, Frescana, Bob Dog Pizza, and Sombreros. If you’re in the mood to try your luck, casinos are 20 minutes away. Last but not least, Lake Tahoe is a short 15-minute drive away!

The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe. They were put in place to keep Lake Tahoe an enjoyable and safe place to visit for years to come!

Permitted Vacation Rental:
We are a permitted rental through El Dorado County. The following rules are from the county of South Lake Tahoe, and we must follow each and every one of them. Failure to do so will result in fines being directly applied to the renter and immediate termination of the rental agreement with no refund. These are rules that every permitted vacation rental has to follow:
1) A written contract from the host to the renter is required.
2) 10 pm - 9 am is quiet time for all rentals. Absolutely no noise between this time.
3) Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box, which is the brown box on our driveway. Do not use the neighbor's trash cans.
4) No parties and a very strict rule of a max of 6 people at all times (over the age of 5).
5) A max of 4 cars and all cars have to be parked in the driveway at all times. No street parking at any time.
6) Both we and VRBO strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to protect against unexpected situations, as we have a firm cancellation policy. Please note that we are unable to refund or modify reservations due to weather or road conditions. We encourage you to plan accordingly.

Cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, less than a mile to several good area restaurants and very close to the bike trail. Pope beach is less than 1/4 mile from cabin. Baldwin and Kiva(dog friendly) beaches 2-3 miles. Camp Richardson Resort and Tahoe Keys marina also nearby.

Also included are wireless Internet, local television with 47" HDTV, Netflix and Amazon Prime; full kitchen with all the essentials and free parking. The cabin also has a washer and dryer which you are welcome to use.

We also have a 50amp outdoor outlet for EV chargers.

Well mannered pets less than 50 pounds are welcome. Size exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

We believe that you, your family, and friends can have an amazing vacation while still being respectful and considerate to the neighbors around you.

AGREEMENT
1. Conditions of Operation. The property manager has reviewed the following conditions of operation for 2158 Lukins Way Vacation Rental with me, and I acknowledge these rules and agree to abide by them during my stay.

a. The maximum occupancy of this property at all times, 24 hours a day, is 4 persons. Up to 5 children aged 13 and under do not count towards this occupancy limit.

b. Weddings, receptions, and commercial events are prohibited.

c. No use of outdoor spas or hot tubs is allowed after 10pm or before 8am.

d. No outdoor amplified music, speakers, or other noise-generating equipment is allowed after 10pm or before 8am.

e. Parking is prohibited on unpaved surfaces or on neighboring private property without permission. Parking is allowed only on paved surfaces.

f. Parking of commercial vehicles on the property is prohibited, except temporarily for durations of less than 4 hours.

g. Camping and sleeping in tents, travel trailers, campers, or recreational vehicles is prohibited.

h. Trash and recycling shall not be left or stored outside except in a container (trash can) within a bear box or in an animal-resistant cart provided for use by South Tahoe Refuse."

i. Trash day is every Friday. All trash shall be stored in the bear box and will be collected from the bear box by South Tahoe Refuse on trash day.

2. Violations of any of these conditions of operation are subject to citations and fines starting at $1,500 per violation may be issued to both me and to the property owner.
