Historic Downtown Truckee is 10-minutes away to access restaurants, boutique shopping, and town events and nightlife. Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, Donner Ski Ranch, and Donner Memorial State Park are less than 10-minute drive. Soda Spring Ski Area and Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Area are 15-minutes away. Palisades (formerly Squaw) and Northstar Ski Resorts are 20-minutes. There is no AC in most homes in Tahoe. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors and blinds when you leave for the day.Please remember that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. Enter the home via pathway from the parking area. A few steps up and you'll enter through a closed off mud room-the perfect place to store shoes and jackets. From the mudroom, you'll step into the main living space. Recently remodeled and professionally decorated, the finishes are gorgeous-with contrasting textures and comfy, mountain modern finishes throughout. Highlights include hand scraped, rich hard wood floors, a cozy dining nook and a warm and inviting stone back drop behind the wood stove. The kitchen offers stone flooring and countertops and an open breakfast bar.

The layout of the bedrooms offer privacy. Both are furnished with queen size comforts and have bathroom access from the sleeping areas. The shared bath offers a stand up shower, river rock heated flooring and granite countertops. The primary suite bath is accessible via the bedroom only, and is equipped with a gorgeous, cream stone floor and bathtub/shower combo. Across the hall from the bedrooms is a laundry closet with a full size washer and dryer.

The open loft is perfect for the kids or a third couple. Furnishings include (1) full/twin bunk, (1) full and a futon. The loft has gorgeous pine forest views through the large, floor to ceiling windows.

For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. - "Very easy. They left lights on for our evening arrival with heat on. Very much appreciated." - "This cute cabin is actually far nicer than the photos depict. The loft is quite large, yet a wonderfully cozy place to hang out and work remotely. The downstairs bedrooms are both private, and the two bathrooms make it work well for a group beyond a couple. We ate in every dinner, and the kitchen was wonderful. New cookware and ample dishes, glassware and all the utensils you'll need. Most of it seemed new, actually, and remodeled. The showers were dreamy. The snow was wildly deep, so it covered many of the downstairs windows. That made for a pretty dark dining room table, but otherwise it was wonderful. The street is quiet, and quite a ways from Northwoods, the main road up the hill from Truckee. The location was perfect for taking in the epic snowfall this year, and for walking the streets and seeing all the snow accumulated on everyone's rooftops. The furnace ran a lot to keep up with the winter temps (and isn't quiet), but we were there in the middle of a series of storms, so very little sunshine to warm the place. Be sure to bring your own shampoo, which is a bit unusual, but all in all we really loved the place and highly recommend it! We'll be back!"

We stayed during the winter and from the snow capped rocks on the river to the valley extending in all directions it really put our souls at ease. Donner Lake is a gem in the mountains; families have been vacationing there for generations and all agree that the recreation and vibe of the small lake community are timeless and wholesome. ☆ One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.

- Primary booker is required to submit a copy of their I.D. and a signed rental agreement within 4 days of booking.
- Rental insurance proof to be provided no later than 2 weeks before arrival by ski lease guest.
- Owners will provide a starting amount of supplies (kitchen products, shampoo, etc.) and anything else you may need during your stay will be on your own.

SKI LEASE PRICING
- Rental rate includes deep cleaning at the end of guest's stay.
- Rental rate includes a $500 credit / 31 days for utilities. Guest will be invoiced/charged for each month's utility balance within the next month. Payment of utilities invoice will be due within 5 business days.
- Snow plowing of driveway is included in rental rate. Snow shoveling of walkways, entry, etc. are guest's responsibility and not covered in the rental rate. Snow shoveler recommendations can be provided to guest at the time of booking.

Are you ready for winter? The first snow has fallen and Tahoe Donner is the perfect place to enjoy everything that Tahoe has to offer! This wonderful Tahoe Donner cabin is perfect for families! Located on a quiet street just a few minutes from the Tahoe Donner ski hill and the world class cross country center. Our nearby rec center is open year round including a lap pool with heated deck and hot tubs. For dining and shopping you'll want to explore historical downtown Truckee. Tahoe Donner also has it's own fine dining at the Lodge restaurant.

The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook family meals. Downstairs you'll find two bedrooms each with a queen bed. The updated kitchen along with the dining and living room offer a great space for families to hang out comfortably. There is also a full bathroom with bathtub/shower and washer/dryer. Upstairs is a huge loft with one king bed, three twin beds and a smart TV. There is also 2nd full bathroom with tub/shower.

High speed WIFI is available. There are two WIFI enabled smart TVs. One upstairs in the loft and one down in the living room. This is a great set up for families. Kids can watch movies or play games in the loft while parents have the lower level.

The property is located in the Tahoe Donner resort area and two guest passes are available for access to the recreation center, pools/hot tubs, and marina (guest fees apply). Tahoe Donner is perfectly situated near some of the best ski resorts in Tahoe! This includes North Star, Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Alpine), and Sugar Bowl. In the summer, it's only a 10 minute drive down to Donner Lake. There are also tons of running and biking trails right down the street, in addition to a beautiful golf course. Our house specifically is located on a flat lot with an attached garage, so accessing the property during the winter is very easy compared to other homes.

You are only a short drive (25-30 mins) to some of the world's best skiing, including Squaw Valley and Northstar. You are also close (10-15 mins) to downtown Truckee, a bustling little mountain town with some of the best restaurants and shopping Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay.

The home is located 15 minutes from downtown Truckee, approximately 25 minutes from Northstar Ski Resort and about 3 hours from San Francisco. Lake Tahoe is a quick 20-25 minute drive. Other ski resorts, such as Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw and Alpine Meadows) are very close as well! The opportunities are endless! Lyft, Uber, and Taxis operate in the greater Truckee area.

Our two-story cabin is located on the 15th fairway in the amazing Tahoe Donner community of Truckee, California. You will love the mountain feel of the cabin and enjoy the warm fire while looking out at the wooded backyard and golf course.

The cabin has two bedrooms as well as a loft bedroom, two bathrooms, and great room. The queen beds are upstairs, one in the bedroom and one in the loft. The twin beds are in the downstairs bedroom. We also provide two fold-out floor mats. All linens are provided. Up to six adults and two children (under thirteen) may occupy the home, with a maximum of eight guests.

We have provided kitchen essentials needed to prepare meals during your stay.

Outside the great room, there is a deck that overlooks the forest and golf course, as well as a deck off the upstairs bedroom – perfect for enjoying coffee on a summer morning. During the warmer weather, take a nap in the hammock or enjoy a game of horseshoes.

We have provided an entertainment library of games, books, and DVDs.

You will find plenty of storage in the garage for your skis, sleds, bikes, etc.

Our property has security cameras to monitor outside the front door, walkway, driveway, and outside the back door.

- "Everything was exactly as described; it is a beautiful home and we very much enjoyed our stay." - "House was as advertised with all the necessities, plus a hot tub! We only had a few minor critiques. First, I asked the property manager for a late checkout and they said they would get back to me but they never did. Second, the checkout instructions were a little confusing. The email/texts said one thing but then there were signs and printed instructions that differed. Lastly, we got a text upon check in that the top bunk could only hold 150 lbs. Luckily this wasn't an issue for us but it should be posted on the listing, just in case. Overall it was a great house and I would definitely stay again."

The Clifford unit is a cute, classic cabin located on a level lot at the popular South-West end of Donner Lake. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit will sleep 6 adults and is a short walk to West End Beach. Parking can accommodate 3 vehicles in driveway. Enter into the mud/laundry room with the master bedroom connected by bathroom on the left hand side. This bedroom contains a queen size bed and is also connected to the kitchen/living rooms. The kitchen, living room, and dining area are all connected to make one large open concept room. From the living room you can snuggle up by the gas fireplace while enjoying an amazing view of the lake and access the spacious back deck. This is part of the fun and adventure of cabin booking in Sierra Nevadas and Lake Tahoe!

New to Truckee? Friendly heads-up: it`s a local norm to avoid leaving food or fragrances in your vehicle, including pet food. If you`re familiar, just a quick reminder. We want your stay to be fantastic!

Important Note: While we hire pros for driveway clearing, there`s a slight chance you may need to shovel on arrival. Shovels are in the garage in case of any snow berms. For 2WD cars, consider bringing chains due to our sloped driveway.

Furthermore, as pets aren`t allowed on our property, there`s an excellent pet lodge only a 10-minute drive from here.

In line with Truckee town regulations, we kindly ask guests to keep noise levels down between 9:30pm and 7am. This ordinance aims to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for both residents and visitors alike. We ask all guests to respect this ordinance during their stay.

We take great care in maintaining our grounds, and we`re proud to have a dedicated gardener. Currently, he doesn`t follow a fixed schedule but tends to the garden whenever he believes it`s time for some care. Thank you for understanding and appreciating our green spaces!

- "Our reservation was during the Blizzard of 2021, and I-80 was closed for 2 days of it. Crystal at Donner Lake Realty went over and above to keep us informed of when we could come, the situation at the cabin, and even getting us refunded for our missed days without us having to ask. When we finally arrived, the drive was plowed, the cabin was toasty, and boy were we glad to be there. Super cute neighborhood by the lake, pretty good pub food down the street, and roads were plowed each morning in time for us to head up to the mountain for skiing. - "This was our first experience with a tiny house. It was really cool. The appliances and fixtures are high quality (Bosch and Grohe) and the unit was super clean. It had really nice windows with several up high to let light in and neat remote control shades to darken the place a bit more at night. The little deck was great with a nice propane fire pit. I would definitely go back to this place for our next ski trip. "

Relax in this very cozy, 2000 Sq Ft 3BR/2BA cabin. The beautiful redwood and rock walls are decorated with antique skis, snowshoes, ice skates, an old sled and pictures throughout that are reminiscent of an era past.

There is a large open living room with a wood burning stove and lots of windows to view the magnificent trees and greenbelt. You may also enjoy these surroundings from the large wrap around deck or the patio deck off the master bedroom.

The space
You can view the living room area from the master bedroom through shuttered Romeo and Juliet windows.

The fully furnished kitchen has everything you need to cook and enjoy meals. In the summer you will find a BBQ, table and chairs on the deck.

The living room and master bedroom have a TV and DVD player.

***Recent upgrades have been made to many appliances and furniture, including: New refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher in the kitchen. New couch and chairs in living areas. Memory foam mattress toppers added to all beds.***

Rec passes are included, which allow up to 8 guests access to Trout Creek Rec Center to use facilities for a fee such as swimming pool, hot tubs, gym, beach, tennis, golf and the equestrian center, and access to the Tahoe Donner Beach Marina at Donner Lake.

Price includes 12% transient occupant taxes charged by the town of Truckee.

Our cabin is a cozy, family friendly, two-story A-frame with an attached two car garage. Floor to ceiling windows allow light to fill the common areas. There is a deck with access to a gas barbecue and a kid-friendly yard. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious jetted-tub to unwind. An open space kitchen and family room. The cabin backs to the Tahoe-Donner Golf course and is situated in a quiet neighborhood.

The space
Easy access to freeway and downtown Truckee. Downtown Truckee has highly rated restaurants, wine bar and brewery. The cabin is 5 minutes to both Tahoe-Donner downhill and cross-country ski areas. 13 miles to Sugar Bowl Resort and 15 miles to Squaw Valley Resort and NorthStar Resort.

Rear of property backs up to Tahoe-Donner golf course.

3 minutes to Trout Creek Recreation Center with year-round gym, pool, hot tub and sauna/steam room amenities as well as snow play during winter and summer swim lessons for a fee.

8 minute drive to West End Beach Park, located on the West Shore of Donner Lake, a 12-acre day-use beach with American Red Cross Certified Lifeguards supervising the designated swim area during the summer months.

Other summer activities within a 3-5 minute drive include horseback riding , mountain biking, tennis, archery, bocce courts and kids parks.
