We followed instructions on it to wait 24 hr from check in to call if not cooling. So we did but a technician did arrive until 24 hr later. By then we were mostly through our stay. He was unable to repair refrigerator but did lend us his Yeti cooler. Would recommend to call AvantStay as soon as trouble arises and not wait."

As you walk into this Modern Cabin, the first ensuite downstairs has a queen-sized platform bed, and the bathroom has a shower stall. Laundry is in the hall, and then you’ll enter the living room, kitchen, and dining areas. Upstairs, you’ll find the second ensuite, boasting a king-size bed, futon couch, Roku flatscreen TV, and the bathroom has heated floors and a shower stall.

The cabin features a spacious deck with a picnic table & umbrella, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals and soaking up the sun. It also comes with convenient amenities such as a washer, dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. For climate control, there are 3 mini-splits, forced-air heat, and a wood-burning wood stove. Entertainment options include a Roku TV upstairs and a Smart TV downstairs in the living room.

This cabin does have a Ring doorbell camera on the front door. Additionally, the owners have a private space within the home with a separate entrance (duplex) and may be on the premises occasionally. Garage is for Owner use only.

This home does not allow parties or events as it is in a residential neighborhood. Quiet time is from 9pm to 8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Trash:
All trash must go in the locked bear box. NEVER leave trash outside of bear box. Large fines from the city will be imposed to those who bate wildlife.

Occupancy and Noise:
Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 8 AM.
Maximum occupancy: 8 people.

House Rules and Behavior:
Please respect the property, wildlife, and neighbors.
No parties allowed. Violation will lead to immediate cancellation without refund. Fines may be enforced by the county.

No Smoking and Fire Safety:
No smoking of any kind, including marijuana and vaping, due to fire hazard. A $500 fee applies for smoking violations.
No bonfires. Follow the smoking policy for safety and conservation.

Commercial Use and Productions:
Photo/video productions require proper licensing and release. Personal photos and sharing are encouraged, but commercial or professional productions require pre-negotiated rates and a location release.

Check-Out and Late Check-Out:
Leave the home in good condition, following check-out procedures. Late check-out fee is $200 if property is not vacated 30 minutes after 11 AM check-out. More than 2 hours late results in an additional day charge.
Early Check-in or Late Check-out is subject to availability but must be requested and approved in advance.

Travel Preparations:
Winter stays must have a 4WD vehicle due to weather conditions.
Stock extra food for potential storms. Monitor weather conditions before traveling.
Purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen events affecting reservations.

This cabin was exactly as the pictures, but the views posted from this cabin (on VRBO) do NOT do justice to this beautifully located property! As an added bonus, the owner provides for dog specific blankets and towels so as to give the most convenient way to protect the furniture and cabin, while allowing our beloved dogs to enjoy the environment. The Host is by far one of the best I've experienced with vrbo. She was enthusiastic, helpful, courteous, and immediately responsive! We highly recommend this Host and the property!! Just a hop, skip, and a jump from Tahoe City’s restaurants, shops and Commons Beach of Lake Tahoe, is our 4bd, 2ba mountain home. Built in 2006, our mountain home feels brand new, but retains that old Tahoe charm with mountain rustic style. The hot tub is BRAND NEW 2014. You are so close to Tahoe City you can walk to Rosie's for breakfast in a winter white-out storm or head to the golf course for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and sledding (perfect for kids)! In the summertime, you can walk to the weekly concerts at the beach, the farmers market, river rafting the Truckee river, playgrounds, golf, literally everything is just a stone's throw away.

The great room of our home is perfect for hanging out with the whole group. The kitchen opens to the dining and living area for the textbook place for the whole crew to hang out, whether cooking, dining, or chilling in front of the Niners or Giants game, you're all right there. The new dining room table is large enough for 8 adults with seating for 3 more at the bar.
Our 4 large bedrooms are flexible to accommodate many different groups. There is one bedroom with a king, 2 each with queen beds and the bunk room contains 2 bunks (4 twins). There is a TV and cable in a room downstairs so the kids can watch a movie and rest after a day on the mountain, while the adults enjoy a big dinner.

We just bought our dream come true mountain home this November, and can't wait to share it with you. In our first few weekends visiting our new home, we can be heard saying;
“Seriously, you could walk to Jake's in a blizzard comfortably”.

I have been renting places in Tahoe my entire life. I was always a huge fan of places that had toys for me to play with. So I have begun to fill our garage with toys to share with my family, friends, and renters. I have 2 pairs of snow shoes, men's and women's. Go stomp through the golf course. We have 5 sleds for sliding down the mountain. We added the bottom deck and hot tub, winter deserves hot tubs! We have also started putting together a coffee table book to guide you through all the good times to be had, places to eat, secret beaches, and hidden treasures.

GUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.

PET POLICY:
We are pet friendly for one well behaved dog with prior approval before your reservation. We ask that the dog not be left alone in the home for an extended period of time, kept off the furniture and beds, and that you bring your own dog bedding, and pick up after them outside. Cats are not permitted.

BEAR WIRE:
There are bears in Lake Tahoe and we have electric bear wire around the property to avoid break-ins. You’ll see electric wires at the windows and doors. Instructions to turn off the bear wire will be provided in your welcome letter.

PARKING: There is driveway parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited per county ordinances.

CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, pet hair on the furniture/beds, etc)

WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. Outdoor deck furniture is removed in advance of winter season to avoid damage. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we do provide shovels and de-icing salt for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking and please keep an eye out for the driveway plow to move vehicles to allow for full driveway clearing. The second floor features a 2nd queen bedroom, a bunk room with 2 twins, and a loft (ladder) with 4 twin beds (open railing and steep ladder - not appropriate for young children). There is also a large bathroom with double sink and large shower.

Just up the hill from downtown Tahoe City is your small Adventure Hub! This tiny cabin offers an entry room and sunny kitchen/living space with a garden window and skylight. Equipped with a queen bed and comfy couch there is plenty of room to relax after a big day in Tahoe. During the summer enjoy meals or relaxing outside on your private deck with shade garden. During the winter you can cross country ski behind the house (conditions permitting). Only 8 miles from (Palisades) Alpine and Squaw.

This small space offers an entry way large enough for most of your toys and an updated stackable laundry center too. The kitchen offers a small 4 burner stove, microwave, toaster oven and an updated fridge for your culinary creations. The small bedroom has a queen memory foam mattress to provide a relaxing stay and newly added is a fire TV. You have access to many channels listed in our guide book but bring your code to watch Netflix, Prime channels, and more. This space has a tiny couch for a tiny cabin.

Need suggestions about what to do adventure wise in Tahoe? Just ask the friendly hosts who have provided a Tahoe adventure library for your stay. We have hiked, skied or biked just about everywhere in Tahoe. If you’re looking for ways to enjoy the bike trails or get out on the lake please inquire.

Your tiny cabin is all you, there is a lockbox to the right of the entry door, we will send the code prior to arrival. There is a private painted deck to use during summer months before the snow covers it, during the winter this deck may have 5-8 feet of snow on it.

Park on the right side of the drive way in front of the red shed doors. leave enough space for the doors to open, inside is a snowblower and other equipment we may need access too.

We have provided a couple of snowshoes to use during the winter, just attach them to your snow boots and you should be good. Ask us if you need ski poles to take with you, we have plenty.

Other things to note
Please contact us before booking if you plan on bringing more than one pet. The Hub is very small and not suitable for multiple pets.

Winter driving can be difficult in Tahoe. Having a 4-wheel drive or chains may be required to reach the adventure hub. We are located on top of the hill which makes the view from the driveway that much better!

During large storms you will need to dig out your vehicle and/or pathway at a minimum.
Homeowners many run snow removal equipment during quite hours, especially during huge storms and are generally gracious in clearing snow from the driveway.
Snow removal is not guaranteed upon arrival or during your stay, shovels are provided. Join in the Tahoe life and jump in the snow, ski it, shovel it, smile while enjoying the beautiful white snow!

Barking Pine Cabin is on a quiet street in Talmont Estates, just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach area. The Talmont neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter. The Tahoe Park Private Beach offers 3 acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, playground, and picnic areas.

New modern siding and a large sunny deck overlooking a forested setting greet you at this home. High ceilings and many windows brighten the living area. There are comfortable couches in the living room along with an entertainment center, 40" flatscreen TV and Blu-ray/DVD. There are also televisions in the two bedrooms. Our cabin has been our hideout in Lake Tahoe for over 20 years, set just two blocks off of North Lake Boulevard in the center of Tahoe City. We are an easy walk to everything this awesome little mountain town has to offer.

There are two (2) bedrooms, 1 BR with 1 Queen bed, 2nd BR with 2 Queen beds. While the cabin accommodates up to 8, that maximum is only for families with children - it's not suitable for 8 adults as it has only one bathroom.

The bathroom is tiled with a stall shower and we installed a large (30 gal) hot water heater so hot showers are plentiful for all. The kitchen features marble counters, a gas range, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and plenty of pots and pans. Also, a dining table with extension leaves for group dinners. We often cook for larger groups, usually with the gas grill on the side deck that opens off the kitchen. There is a hot tub on the back deck.

There is WIFI and 2 - 55-inch LCD ROKU TV's with a DVD player for streaming movies and such. There is NO Local TV or cable, but anything you can stream on your device you can either stream directly to the TV or via Chromecast. There are also Chromecast audio-connected speakers for streaming music and a Google Home in the kitchen that you are welcome to use or mute at your discretion. There are several USB wall outlets built-in, able to charge any device as long as you have a cord. We tend to leave lots of chargers lying about, you are welcome to use them, but they should not leave the house (please!)

If you check the map you will see we are literally in the center of Tahoe City, the house is in the flat section of town so there are no killer hills to walk or bike between us and all the restaurants, bars and shopping in Tahoe City. Safeway Plaza is 3 blocks away, as is Commons Beach and lake access. There are bars and coffee shops even closer and the Tahoe City Golf course butts up to Grove Street just ½ block outside the back door.

The bike path runs for miles and the top of the hill past the house offers direct access to miles of national forest and fire trails (personally I drive up and bike from the top.)

We love the cabin because it is central to the town of Tahoe City. You can seriously spend a week here and never need your car.

Well-behaved Dogs (up to 2) are welcome, but must not be left unattended unless crated and are not allowed on the furniture or bedding. Our yard is NOT fenced.

The cabin is suitable for 4/6 adults plus kids...NOT 8 adults.

The log cabin will accommodate 8 guests comfortably (a bed/crib is available upon request) for a relaxing, memorable vacation. Warm fireplace awaits you. The requested lending library is now open for your reading pleasure. All books are available to take and read. Pay it forward or exchange your previously read paperback.

The space
Three bedrooms, with three tempur-pedic queen size mattresses, and two single beds, extra pillows and blankets, and luxury baskets with shampoo, soaps, cleansers await. Ample towels are in updated bathrooms. Updated kitchen with microwave, popcorn, and Kuerig coffees are available. An electric grill is supplied. Warm inviting living room with flat screen TV, movie channels, cards, games and puzzles complete the relaxing atmosphere of the log cabin. Front Dutch door opens for daylight and mountain air.

Other things to note
The cabin is equipped with a bear fence for guest and owner safety. Special operations action instructions will need to be signed off prior to access. Personal email address requested for guest ability to print instructions.

Guests can conveniently access William Kent Public Beach for a picnic on the lake or explore the amenities at Kilner Park, including pickleball courts, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a kids' playground, BBQ areas, and picnic spots. Additionally, the property's proximity to Sunnyside Restaurant on the Lake, West Shore Market, the popular Firesign Cafe, and Shadyside Lounge provides easy access to renowned dining establishments in the vicinity.

As you walk into this Modern Cabin, the first ensuite downstairs has a queen-sized platform bed, and the bathroom has a shower stall. Laundry is in the hall, and then you’ll enter the living room, kitchen, and dining areas. Upstairs, you’ll find the second ensuite, boasting a king-size bed, futon couch, Roku flatscreen TV, and the bathroom has heated floors and a shower stall.

The cabin features a spacious deck with a picnic table & umbrella, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals and soaking up the sun. It also comes with convenient amenities such as a washer, dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. For climate control, there are 3 mini-splits, forced-air heat, and a wood-burning wood stove. Entertainment options include a Roku TV upstairs and a Smart TV downstairs in the living room.

This cabin does have a Ring doorbell camera on the front door. Additionally, the owners have a private space within the home with a separate entrance (duplex) and may be on the premises occasionally. Garage is for Owner use only.

This home does not allow parties or events as it is in a residential neighborhood. Quiet time is from 9pm to 8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

Nestled in the pine forest of Lake Tahoe in the beautiful Tahoe Park Heights area, you are just a 5-minute drive to the shared private beach/park and are within walking distance to the year-round trails of the famous Paige Meadows. This home is the perfect family cabin retreat to enjoy all the Tahoe offers, all year-round!

The space
When you arrive through the front door, you will come to the main landing where you will find space to take off your outdoor gear before heading further into the home. At the main landing, you can either go up or down the stairs to the different levels of the home. The upstairs features the main living area with an open kitchen, dining room, and living room, and access to two outdoor decks. The downstairs features the home’s three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Head up the stairs and arrive at an open living room, kitchen, and dining area with vaulted wood ceilings and windows all around, creating a bright and airy space with a warm, cozy cabin style. The open layout allows for easy entertaining and socializing, as the various areas flow seamlessly together. The large living room provides an inviting and bright space to relax with two couches providing space for 6-7 to sit comfortably, a 65” smart TV, and bookshelves with books and games to enjoy. In the heart of the living room is a lovely wood-burning fireplace with a beautiful stone hearth. From the living room, you can access the large front deck, where you will find a propane bbq and outdoor dining area with forest views. During the summer months, this space is a great outdoor extension of the living room, providing an opportunity to enjoy the natural surroundings and cook up some delicious meals.

The connected kitchen and dining room are on the other end of the main living area. The chef in your group will love the spacious kitchen and open layout, so they can stay connected with your group while they prepare a meal. The kitchen boasts a kitchen bar with two bar stools, stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and a well-laid layout making it a modern and functional space for preparing meals. The dining room just off the kitchen has a large table that seats 8. With views from the windows surrounding the table, this is the perfect place to enjoy meals with friends and family! From the dining room, you can access the back deck where you will find a peaceful and isolated outdoor space with a 7-person hot tub, so you can soak away as you relax and unwind in the fresh mountain air.

When you are ready to tuck in for the night, this home offers excellent separation of living and sleeping space with all three bedrooms on the lower level. Head down the stairs, and you will first arrive at the master bedroom, a large cozy room with a comfortable king bed, matching nightstands with lamps, and a large mirrored closet. The master bedroom has the added comfort of the en suite bathroom, an updated space that boasts a single-sink vanity and a freestanding shower with a glass door and a small built-in bench.

Down the hallway from the master bedroom are two additional bedrooms. The first bedroom is located on the right side of the hallway and is set up as a bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed in a charming log bed frame, perfect for kids in your group to share. This bedroom also includes a dresser, twin trundle bed located under the bunk bed and a large window with views over the forested area. Across the hallway is the third bedroom where you will find a queen bed, matching nightstands with lamps, a dresser, and a large closet with sliding mirrored doors. In this closet, you will find extra house supplies such as additional blankets, a railing for the bunk beds, and baby equipment to use for those traveling with young children.

Conveniently located between the two bedrooms is the second bathroom. This clean, updated space boasts a single-sink vanity and a shower/bathtub combo. A washer and dryer are also located in the hallway closet downstairs and include beach and hot tub towels for guest use. Note, while guests have access to parking in the garage, there is no entry point into the home from the garage.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and outdoor spaces, which include a private hot tub. Guests will also have access to two parking spaces in the attached garage, and space for two more vehicles in the driveway.

Other things to note
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

Please note that it frequently snows in Lake Tahoe in the winter months and as this home is well above lake level on a hill, it gets A LOT of snow. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. In the winter, we strongly suggest a truck or SUV with AWD or 4WD and all-terrain tires. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them.

Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

Note that the patio furniture are only out and available for use from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend.

Solbakken Cabin is a charming log cabin retreat in the heart of Tahoe City.

This old 1959 well-maintained cabin is a 10 minute walk from Lake Tahoe and all the shops, dining and activities in town. Tahoe City is known for its beauty and active lifestyle of incredible restaurants to choose from.

The space
You’ll appreciate this fantastic location that is both peaceful yet close to restaurants, shops, hiking and biking trails.

This 1950's log cabin has been tastefully updated and boasts a huge deck to enjoy the sunshine filtering through the trees. This cabin is a true jewel box with a surprising amount of space. The cozy living room has lots of windows and a charming wood fireplace.

With one queen bedroom and one bathroom with a shower on the main floor and 2 more bedrooms and a 2nd full bathroom upstairs, there is plenty of space for everyone. There is also bonus room known as "The Bear's Den", it is perfect for a movie marathon or game night and also includes a desk area for remote work. The Bear's Den also includes a twin sleeper sofa and popcorn maker!

You’ll feel a sense of privacy relaxing on the expansive deck and enjoying the green space below. There is a propane grill on the deck for your use in the summer months and a portable fire pit for responsible guests throughout the year.

Come visit this our family Cabin, on a very quiet street, just a short walk to the heart of Tahoe City and an easy 10 minute drive to the ski resort formerly known as Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley now called Palisades. Cabin is only a short walk to beach and town's shops and restaurants.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 6 adults or up to 7 when you include at least one kiddo under age 12 and share beds.

You’ll love this charming 2 bedroom / 1 bath “pet friendly” tahoe vacation cabin! Centrally located within a short walk to many West Shore favorites, this cabin was originally fashioned and built by a designer for Disneyland.

The space
Lodging accommodations include a stone fireplace in one bedroom, a wood burning fireplace in the living room, knotty pine walls, washer/dryer, SmartTV, and high speed internet service. The kitchen is well equipped (sorry no dishwasher) and there is a large private, sunny, stone patio in the back of the cabin with gas BBQ.

Access to the ever popular Lake Tahoe Park Association Beach is included. Enjoy level parking for 2 - 3 cars directly in front of the cabin.

IMPORTANT NOTE - This is a newer listing for us (as of early 2025), but it’s worth mentioning that this home has been an active vacation rental property for many years and has over 100 Five Star Reviews. When we took over management of the property, the listing had to be rebuilt under our Property Management account. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to transfer legacy reviews over to the new listing. The cabin is centrally located in the Pineland area and is a short walk to some of the best and most iconic west shore destinations: Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe, West Shore Market and Shadyside Lounge. The Lake Tahoe Park Association Beach is also a short walk away, with access to this beach association affording you the next best alternative to staying on the lake!
You can also catch the bike trail just a few blocks from the cabin and enjoy miles of paved trails along the West Shore or into Tahoe City, down the Truckee River, or all the way out to Palisades. So fun!
