We followed instructions on it to wait 24 hr from check in to call if not cooling. So we did but a technician did arrive until 24 hr later. By then we were mostly through our stay. He was unable to repair refrigerator but did lend us his Yeti cooler. Would recommend to call AvantStay as soon as trouble arises and not wait."

- "I NEED to post pictures!! We were fortunate enough to be "hunkered down" in this cozy, phenomenal cabin during the first major Sierra storm of 2022!! This cabin was exactly as the pictures, but the views posted from this cabin (on VRBO) do NOT do justice to this beautifully located property! As an added bonus, the owner provides for dog specific blankets and towels so as to give the most convenient way to protect the furniture and cabin, while allowing our beloved dogs to enjoy the environment. The Host is by far one of the best I've experienced with vrbo. She was enthusiastic, helpful, courteous, and immediately responsive! We highly recommend this Host and the property!! Just a hop, skip, and a jump from Tahoe City’s restaurants, shops and Commons Beach of Lake Tahoe, is our 4bd, 2ba mountain home. Built in 2006, our mountain home feels brand new, but retains that old Tahoe charm with mountain rustic style. The hot tub is BRAND NEW 2014. You are so close to Tahoe City you can walk to Rosie's for breakfast in a winter white-out storm or head to the golf course for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and sledding (perfect for kids)! In the summertime, you can walk to the weekly concerts at the beach, the farmers market, river rafting the Truckee river, playgrounds, golf, literally everything is just a stone's throw away.

The great room of our home is perfect for hanging out with the whole group. The kitchen opens to the dining and living area for the textbook place for the whole crew to hang out, whether cooking, dining, or chilling in front of the Niners or Giants game, you're all right there. The new dining room table is large enough for 8 adults with seating for 3 more at the bar.
Our 4 large bedrooms are flexible to accommodate many different groups. There is one bedroom with a king, 2 each with queen beds and the bunk room contains 2 bunks (4 twins). There is a TV and cable in a room downstairs so the kids can watch a movie and rest after a day on the mountain, while the adults enjoy a big dinner.

We just bought our dream come true mountain home this November, and can't wait to share it with you. In our first few weekends visiting our new home, we can be heard saying;

We esp. liked how each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the bunk beds were fun for the kiddos. It was nice to be able to walk to the sledding hill. This two story cozy getaway has a stepdown living room with plenty of comfortable seating around a natural rock fireplace. Step out to a fenced in patio and enjoy the BBQ Grille or relax amidst the large Pine trees Upstairs the master bedroom has its own bath, vaulted wood beamed ceilings and window seats with cushions for that extra or unexpected guest. The other rooms have a bunk bed for and another queen sized bed. Freshly painted walls, skylights and redwood paneling add to the new yet rustic feeling. The complex provides tennis courts, large, open grass fields, sandy beechs on the lake, as well as Lake Tahoe's longest peir. With a short walk to town (1/4 mile) you can find restaurants, bike rentals, rafting, kayacking, golf. During the winter you can find world class skiing nearby at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, and Homewood and a sledding hill within the complex. - "This is a lovely home. Impressive enclosed entry with 2 sets of stairs to the entrance of the home. Well laid out family room with great distant view of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked with nice cookware, etc. Bathroom with shower over tub was small. One of the two bedrooms on the main floor had a closet. The King bedroom upstairs had a stand alone closet. Walk in shower was nice. Bathroom amenities were marginal. The beds were wonderful. Front deck was wonderful. We requested fans and management provided. We will return."

Boaters are advised to provide their own dingy for buoy shuttling. TRPA requires boat inspection/certification and a clean boating certification sticker must be procured.

Enjoy your stay in this newly remodeled, single level townhome with modern, high-end finishes and extra touches throughout. Relax in the open concept living room in front of the stone (gas) fireplace while sitting on the luxurious leather furnishings and enjoying your favorite shows on the 75” T.V. The kitchen is well stocked including a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of PODs as well as a 10-cup coffee maker with ground coffee, a variety of spices, some condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo) and pantry staples (flour, sugar, etc.). Spend time outside on the large paved patio…. BBQ’ing and dining or just lounging on the sectional and chairs while visiting around the fire pit.… or take a short walk to the lakefront pool, beach, pier, tennis and pickleball courts and the bike path. It is just a short stroll through the lake view, forest path to the shops and restaurants in town…. so close and yet far enough away from the summer crowds. This home is also just a short drive to hiking, snowshoeing and incredible skiing/snowboarding. It’s like home away from home!

The guys wished for a hot tub after skiing (and there’s room outside should the owner decide to add one) but the hot shower sufficed. From the moment you enter, Carnelian Bay Hideaway lives up to its name. The plush seating in the living room invites you to rest and relax by the gas fireplace. Flat screen HDTV with AppleTV, DVDs, an Apple HomePod, games, cards and books are all available for your enjoyment. For those who just can’t “disconnect,” there’s wifi too. Large windows and a vaulted ceiling give it a light, airy feel.

The fully stocked kitchen has beautiful stone countertops, a gas range and everything you’ll need to prepare meals for the group. The dining table comfortably seats 6 to 8 guests and there are 3 barstools at the kitchen counter. From the dining area, a sliding door leads out to a sunny side yard.

Past the kitchen, there’s a half bath in the hallway leading to the two bedrooms, both with a Queen bed. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, one with jetted tub/shower combo and the other with a large dual-head shower. Each also has a door leading out to that fabulous, fresh Tahoe air; one opens out to a deck and the other opens onto a screened-in porch, and in back, a sunny flagstone patio with an outdoor dining area – ideal for rule #2: Bask in the sunshine!.

Upstairs, the master suite is a wonderful retreat of its own with King bed, large HDTV, and full bathroom with jetted tub and shower. We are perfectly located in Tahoe City: just steps away from unique Skylandia and Bristlecone parks and beaches. We are 5 mn drive from excellent restaurants, unique boutiques, best coffee shops and beautiful landmarks; but no need to drive to access amazing beaches and incredible views.

If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them. Please also be aware of long travel times and pass closures due to winter weather conditions.

If you are renting this home from April until the first snowfall, there are NO fires allowed in Lake Tahoe.

Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow.

During the winter you can cross country ski behind the house (conditions permitting). Only 8 miles from (Palisades) Alpine and Squaw.

Your Tahoe City Adventure Hub awaits you! Placed on top of the hill in downtown Tahoe City this tiny cabin has everything you need for a fun and comfortable Tahoe adventure. A place to relax and where everyone is welcome.

This small space offers an entry way large enough for most of your toys and an updated stackable laundry center too. The kitchen offers a small 4 burner stove, microwave, toaster oven and an updated fridge for your culinary creations. The small bedroom has a queen memory foam mattress to provide a relaxing stay and newly added is a fire TV. You have access to many channels listed in our guide book but bring your code to watch Netflix, Prime channels, and more. This space has a tiny couch for a tiny cabin.

Need suggestions about what to do adventure wise in Tahoe? Just ask the friendly hosts who have provided a Tahoe adventure library for your stay. We have hiked, skied or biked just about everywhere in Tahoe. If you’re looking for ways to enjoy the bike trails or get out on the lake please inquire.

Your tiny cabin is all you, there is a lockbox to the right of the entry door, we will send the code prior to arrival. There is a private painted deck to use during summer months before the snow covers it, during the winter this deck may have 5-8 feet of snow on it.

Park on the right side of the drive way in front of the red shed doors. leave enough space for the doors to open, inside is a snowblower and other equipment we may need access too.

We have provided a couple of snowshoes to use during the winter, just attach them to your snow boots and you should be good. Ask us if you need ski poles to take with you, we have plenty.

Other things to note
Please contact us before booking if you plan on bringing more than one pet. The Hub is very small and not suitable for multiple pets.

Winter driving can be difficult in Tahoe. Having a 4-wheel drive or chains may be required to reach the adventure hub. We are located on top of the hill which makes the view from the driveway that much better!

During large storms you will need to dig out your vehicle and/or pathway at a minimum.
Homeowners many run snow removal equipment during quite hours, especially during huge storms and are generally gracious in clearing snow from the driveway.
Snow removal is not guaranteed upon arrival or during your stay, shovels are provided. Join in the Tahoe life and jump in the snow, ski it, shovel it, smile while enjoying the beautiful white snow!

The primary suite is detailed with a California king bed and a Roku TV. A tub/shower combination rounds out the en-suite bathroom.

Sleep soundly on a queen bed in the guest room. The third bedroom includes a twin-over-full bunk bed, along with a twin trundle.

There are two guest bathrooms: one has a tub/shower combination, while the other features a walk-in shower.

OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES

Unwind with after-dinner drinks beneath the stars on your private deck; this fenced space has a table for six.

The seasonal complex amenities are a short walk from your door. Swim in two sparkling pools, or play a lively match on the tennis courts. There's also a basketball court.

Hikers can explore 2,000 acres of forest at Burton Creek State Park (1 mile). Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Area is 1 mile from home, and Squaw Valley Resort beckons in 9.5 miles.
No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval.
