Driving distance to more shops and restaurants in town. They do have dining restaurants and casino on site. But, none of us gamble. We just enjoyed the easy access to the ski resort, nice pools and hot spa, clean and quick café for breakfast and coffee. I do hope their restaurants have better food and faster services, and no smoking at casino. But, I don't think that exist. We do valet parking all the time very easy and they charge our car for us. Peaceful area, not as much activities as Northstars and South Tahoe side. May not fit for everyone. "

It’s been 3 weeks since we came back from this horrific property and she hasn’t made a proper response! This was the worst cabin we have ever stayed at. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property!!! The space
This is a 2 bedroom with an Office, 2 1/2 bathroom, single story home with mountain views throughout. It offers a stocked kitchen for meal preparation and dining. Our dining table sits 6 people. Exterior dining arrangements are offered at the back patio, with more seating around it. There is a bocce court and fenced in lawn for guests to enjoy.

Guest access
Practically the whole inside of the house is for the registered guests to enjoy. There are up to 5 approved parking spots in the driveway. If the guest prefers to park inside the garage, there is 1 car space and the garage door must be opened & closed from the inside. The other half of the garage are owners belongings. A separate fenced locked yard to the side of the home is reserved for the owners personal property.

Absolutely No Smoking or Vaping of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property indoors or outdoors. This is a strict no-smoking property located in a fire-prone area with dry vegetation.

Violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine and may lead to immediate eviction.

With quiet, full-time owners throughout the semi-secluded complex, this convenient, free-standing (no shared walls) cabin is a "getaway from it all" gem. We have been property owners here since the early 80's!

This is bear country, so you might just see our local friend, Bernie the Bear. As long as you do not leave any food (or trash with any smells) outside the cabin, in your car, or near an open door/window, Bernie is just a huge (kinda smelly) fuzzball who ambles by on the hunt for a picnic basket. He does know how to open unlocked car doors, pesky little guy.

Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find a quiet, semi-private forest setting with a year-round creek where you can soak up a little bit of the magic that makes up the Tahoe National Forest. It is a neighborhood favorite!

Centrally located, we're just a few minutes' drive away from the center of town, where you'll find coffee, groceries, shopping, and restaurants! Be sure to stop at the Potlatch store in Raley's center - they have a great selection of Tahoe memorabilia.

Enjoy the cozy living room, featuring a sofa, two recliners, a Smart TV, and a gas stove. The open floor plan features an adjacent dining area and kitchen. With multiple windows in the main living area, you'll find it light and comfy, with lovely views of the trees.

The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig coffee pot, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, electric stove, and oven. Although there are typically some spices and condiments, we are unable to guarantee the quantity, quality, or variety. Please bring any must-have ingredients for your home-cooked meals. We provide a few starter pods of coffee to get you started.

The sunny, first-floor, large primary bedroom has a California King bed (and another Smart TV) - it's an amazing spot to wake up in every day with a large window that looks out into the trees right off the back deck. The bathroom is just steps away.

The one full bath is located just across the hall from the primary bedroom, offering a tub/shower combo. Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths for two people are provided. There is a starter supply of toilet paper (3 rolls), as well as some shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap.

Relax on the sofa upstairs in the forward loft while reading, gaming, or watching a movie on the Smart TV. It's a lovely space that's open to the first floor, with high ceilings that highlight the floor-to-ceiling windows. Take it from us, it's a great place to nap too!

Wifi download speeds of 300 Mbps make it possible for Zoom calls with a virtual background (hint: so your boss won't even know you're in Tahoe!).

******* Most guests don’t use the upstairs back bedroom, so rather than inflating the cleaning fee for all guests, we simply charge an additional $25 cleaning fee if you use this bedroom. You’re absolutely welcome to enjoy this lovely, cozy space—it features a queen-size bed, a sitting area, and a sliding glass door that looks right out into the trees. Please let us know in advance of your check-out so we can ask the cleaning service to bring clean linens for that room when they clean the cabin after your departure. *****

This quiet resort offers our guests the ability to utilize the fabulous private beaches, when open, in Incline Village that offer our guests a prestigious glimpse at what it means to live in Tahoe. French doors off of the well-equipped kitchen allow for access to a balcony with magnificent filtered lake views. The kitchen is stocked with a toaster oven, Keurig machine (pods not provided), standard drip coffee pot, electric stovetop, and much more. Take advantage of the gas BBQ grill on the balcony and have a cookout during the day.

The master bedroom is on the 3rd floor and provides stunning lake views. Wake up on the King bed to beautiful views right outside the window. My home is situated in the popular Historic West Side District of Carson City with walking access to popular restaurants, cafe's, saloons and unique shopping. I am at the base of a popular canyon with outdoor mountain biking and trails and lots of wildlife including herd of mule deer.

I am centrally located for the adventurer to explore Lake Tahoe, Reno, Virginia City, Genoa and hiking on the Tahoe Rim Trail and Carson Pass/Hope Valley area (Pacific Crest Trail).

Carson City comes alive in the summer and you can enjoy free outdoor concerts most weekends.

We live in a brand new housing development. The house was built in August of 2020. The area is super safe. There are lots of places to walk and ride around. There is a park and a basketball court right across the street from our house. We are about 30 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe and the biggest little city in the world (Reno). We are within walking distance from Walmart, Trader Joes, In&out, Dollar store, Famous Footware, and many more. I grew up here. I know all the best spots.

Welcome to Relaxing Rustic Cabin in Genoa NV at the base of the Sierra Mountains. Upon entering the cabin, you will notice the smell of pine and the spectacular views out the windows. You will have everything you need to relax, feel at home, and explore the area. Countless trails and outdoor activities in both the mountains and valley make this an outdoor enthusiast's dream.
South Lake Tahoe and Reno are 30 minutes away. activity. Grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping are 1-15 minutes away.

The space
THE SPACE:

There are so many wonderful features about this cabin that you will fall in love with it; the smell of pine, old school real wood floors, lots of natural lighting, views of the valley and mountains, sparkly clean, and cute cabin look and feel.

A comfortable queen bed has flannel sheets and heavy comfy blankets in the winter and lighter, more breathable sheets and blankets in the summer. Guests have commented on how comfortable the bed is.

A cute freestanding gas fireplace heats the space and has a thermostat for you to control the temperature. A newly installed mini split keeps the cabin to your desired temperature in the summer months. The ceiling fan will help to circulate the warm or cool air.

A wardrobe clothes organizer serves as a closet for your belongings. Your luggage may be stored in the loft. There is PLENTY of cabinet/storage space in the bathroom (space under the sink, vanity, and closet) and in the kitchen.
There is a cute shelf with key rings on it next to the front door.

There is a table with two stools that may be used as a desk or dining table.

Fast wifi is included.

The kitchen is amazingly big for the size of the cabin. It includes a refrigerator, four burner gas cooktop, microwave with convection oven, coffee pot, and all utensils, pots, etc to make your favorite meals.

The private bathroom has a shower stall and is located off of the kitchen. An extra infrared heater is provided for the bathroom.

As shown in the included pictures here on the platform, there is a chair with cushions on it next to the wardrobe area in front of the bed, if you'd prefer to have more space, that chair may be taken out.

A vacuum and cleaning supplies are provided.


THE NEIGHBORHOOD / AREA:

The cute, quaint, little town of Genoa is 1 mile South. Genoa is the home to Nevada's oldest thirst parlor - The Genoa Bar / established in 1853. It has a few restaurants to suit every budget/price point, a general store (sandwiches and ice cream), and a variety of shops. In the summer months, you may catch a concert or town celebration in one of the parks.

Enjoy the Carson Valley and 360 degrees of mountain living, while only being 25 minutes from South Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Mountain Resort.

Natural Hot Springs lovers will enjoy Mark Twain's hang-out at David Walley's Resort (3 miles away). There is also a restaurant and bar at David Wally's. Grover Hot Springs in the woods of Markleeville is 22 miles away.

All varieties of dining and shopping (including Trader Joe's, Costco, and chain grocery stores) are 12 minutes.

There are lots of great hiking, biking, and snowshoeing trails behind the cabin, in the Sierra Mountains, including a trail with access to the Pacific Crest Trail.

Access to the valley's BLM public land is across the valley; to enjoy miles of hiking, biking, off-roading, ATV, or horseback rides. You just might see some wild horses!

Check out Live entertainment at the Tahoe casinos. Experience the crystal-clear water of Lake Tahoe; go boating or for a swim, lay on the beach, or rent a kayak or paddleboard.

The Carson Valley Inn offers live entertainment and a casino.

The Reno-Tahoe airport is a 45-minute drive.

The Minden airport is a 10-minute drive.

Virginia City is 27 miles away.

Guest access
Maps/GPS will bring you to the lower driveway on the property. Pull into that driveway and park all the way forward, in front of the garage. Walk up the stairs. Your cabin is the first door on the left that you come to. The lock box is around the corner to the left at the other entrance (west door).

The cabin is not wheelchair accessible.

Snow and ice may be part of our winter. Be prepared to walk or drive on snow or ice.

The space
The space is amazing. The rooms are upstairs. Room A has a full size bed, desk, TV and a walk-in closet. There is a full bath upstairs as well. The downstairs also provides a half bath.

Guest access
Guests have access to living room, kitchen, breakfast and coffee bar, anything on the top shelf in the refrigerator, washer and dryer. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent will be provided.
THE GARAGE AND PATIO IS OFF LIMITS TO ALL GUESTS.

I will do my best to respond to your messages. I go to bed really early however I am up early as well. If you book after 8pm the room is ready for you.

I will do my best to respond to your message. I work with patients all day, so it is very hard for me to look at my phone when I'm at work. I go to bed pretty early. If you book after 8 pm, the room is already for you. I will have my phone on silent so I won't respond until the morning after. Please make yourself at home.

We are renting for long term rental of 29 days or more on a month to month basis. We can discuss your specific situation.
Our place is adjacent to the town square and historic & community sites. You’ll love the privacy & comfort of our guesthouse. With heated floors and great natural light, our place is a cozy spot for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We are close to outdoor adventures (Skiing, hiking and more) & indoor activities (dining, swimming, gambling and such).

The space
Our property is a Nevada Historic Site. It is professionally landscaped with mature trees and plenty of greenery. Even though we are in the middle of town, the cottage is still private and quiet surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood.

Guest access
You are welcome to the all areas of the property. It is a nicely landscaped with plenty of grass and trees. You are also welcome to use the washer in dryer that is located in our basement. We just need a little notice to unlock the access doors. There is plenty of street parking which is well lit and safe.

We live in a brand new housing development. The house was built in August of 2020. The area is super safe. There are lots of places to walk and ride around. There is a park and a basketball court right across the street from our house. We are about 30 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe and the biggest little city in the world (Reno). We are within walking distance from Walmart, Trader Joes, in&out, Dollar store, Famous Footware, and many more. I grew up here. I know all the best spots.

The space
The space is amazing. We have a nice comfy queen bed. We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We also provide towels. We have Disney+, Hulu, and Youtube TV.
The house is a shared space with other guests. However, I have locks and keys for all the rooms.

Welcome!
After 12 years of hosting, I've learned a thing or two. Our county now only permits long term stays, so I decided to open my home for just that.
If you are good following basic House Rules, maintaining a clean, quiet and considerate space, diligent about energy useage like turning off lights when not in use, I would love to hear more and hopefully have you here.

And, if you happen to be looking for a yearly, much longer term home, I am very open to this. All utilities are included.

The space
The property has many options available, from a garage shed for your car, storage unit for bicycles or extra luggage and a divine sitting area during warm weather to take in the breathtaking view.
It's an elegant, spacious quarters with attached private bath, including private front door entry. Room features a large walk - in closet, a large monitor for guests who have their own firesticks, a nook with small refrigerator, coffee maker, portable electric induction cooktop, toaster oven and microwave, along with cookware and kitchen utencils, plates, glasses, cups etc. .
Important for those who are conscious about reducing toxins - the entire home is on a reverse osmosis water system. Clean water, healthy skin.

Guests always comment on how quiet and peaceful it is here. It really is.

We are next to public lands, which offers freedom to ride horses, bike or hike to you hearts content.

It's a sanctuary and a place to feel secure and spoiled a bit, in a down to earth way.

Guest access
You will have access to the laundry room, washer and dryer. The whole house has softened, purified water for extra soft skin and hair.

The crowning jewel of this place is the unmatched view. Delivery folk exclaim this is the best view of the valley. No kidding. I've created a little high desert Eden here with a private back yard, lush with grass and flowering bushes. Guests have access to the patio which has luxurious outdoor furniture to sit and take in the breathtaking view.

We are 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. 15 minutes to Carson City, 38 minutes from Reno and 5 minutes from the Douglas County Airport. The Starbucks plant is 5 minutes away.
