- "If you are staying in the area around Huntington Lake, this is a beautiful option. Keep in mind this is a cabin rental, not a luxurious hotel resort. But with that in mind, this is an awesome place!" - "The cabin was in the RV Park. It was one of the better cabins I have stayed in during my travels the past few years. Loved the trail going down to the creek. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is a little trek down the hill to get to the lake but a nice walk. The property on the way to the RV camp and cabin looks like some of it is being renovated/remodeled or needs worked on. This is a little pricey but loved the rustic cabin and being in a forest near a lake! I will be back! "

The Space:
The living area is spacious and designed for comfort, featuring multiple sofas, a fireplace, and large windows that let in abundant natural light. This space is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with a flat-screen TV and a selection of board games, puzzles, Wii games and hockey table for entertainment.
Upstairs, you'll find all three bedrooms with QUEEN size beds and a loft with two FULL size beds. Also, there's a bathroom upstairs with a toilet & shower.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire cabin besides a few locked owner closets.

The Neighborhood:
Tamarack is a charming, small community located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, near the China Peak Mountain Resort. This area is known for its scenic beauty, outdoor recreational opportunities, and tranquil mountain atmosphere.
Tamarack is surrounded by dense forests of pine and fir trees, with breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. The elevation and rugged terrain provide a picturesque backdrop, making it a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The area experiences all four seasons, with snowy winters and mild summers.
Tamarack is in close proximity to China Peak Mountain Resort, a popular destination for winter sports. The resort offers a variety of runs for all skill levels, as well as snowboarding, tubing, and snowshoeing.
In the warmer months, the area is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers, with numerous trails that wind through the forests and mountains. The trails vary in difficulty, catering to both casual walkers and experienced adventurers.

Getting Around:
This cabin has a large driveway, which can accommodate up to 4 vehicles.
No parking on the street during winter months due to snow removal.
Do not sled in the street during the winter. It's very dangerous and owner's get fined.
No recreational vehicles or camping allowed in yards and driveways.
There is no uber, etc in this area.-you need your own transportation.

Other Things to Note:
4x4/all wheel drive vehicles may/will be required with cables/chains during the winter season. Please be prepared or CHP could refuse entrance into Shaver Lake (168-E)
NO OUTDOOR FIRES ALLOWED!
Ground coffee is provided.
Wifi is slower in Tamarack- please understand this is out of my control.
We do not provide wood.

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Security camera details: There are two active security cameras on the eaves with listening capabilities: one on pointed down the long stairway to the driveway and one by the electric meter pointed toward the deck and driveway.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) - "Nice" - "The description says charcoal bbq but now it’s propane. The propane had been left open by a previous guest and was empty but eventually the vacasa team got it replaced and that made it easier to grill items that we brought. This cabin has a lovely deck with seating for 6 which was nice to host some friends after the High Sierra Regatta. The beds were comfy and we’re happy with our stay and the cabin. The neighbors were really nice too and it was fun to learn that this whole area is open grazing land for cattle and maybe even goats even though we didn’t see any but we saw plenty of grass and green because of the little brooks the flowed through the property. I would definitely book this place again."

Rustic peaceful relaxing cabin 7 minutes before China peak. Cabin it's located in the quiet, secluded tamarack lodge neighborhood. Family owned property share with a lot of love and respect to our guest.
