If you find yourself wanting to leave your cozy cottage you can travel North towards Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon and as far as Big Sur. Traveling South will take you towards San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, and Arroyo Grande. If you are a wine lover head on over to Paso Robles which is an award winning wine destination!!! You will not be let down by its abundance of wineries, breweries and tasting rooms downtown. (it's about a fifty minute drive from your cottage.)

Farmers Market\- On Mondays from 2pm-4:30pm you can explore Farmers Market and shop from your favorite local produce and shops.

Sea Pines Golf Course- Sea Pines offers free live music outside for families and children on Saturdays. Bring your own lawn chair or set up "picnic style" while you enjoy food and beverages from the bar. Often times there will be bounce houses and slides for children as well.

Montana De Oro State Park- Take a short drive towards the beach! Once entering the state park you will have trails, coves, beaches and peaks to explore. There is a trail/walk for everyone at every level.

Elfin Forest- Is adjacent to the Morro Bay estuary. The Elfin Forest is known for its pygmy oaks, seabirds and coastal panoramas. This board walk style loop makes it convenient for those traveling with dogs or children.

Los Osos gets limited service from Lyft, Uber and taxi services due to location in a semi remote area. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please plan accordingly.

Baywood is a charming small beach community that sits right on the back bay. It has great spots to eat and hang out and is close to San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria and more! Please take a look at our Guidebook for suggestions and let us know if you have anything in particular that you're looking to do! Kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, the spa, bars, etc! There is a laundromat onsite that locals use regularly throughout the day. Please be mindful of their presence. These machines take coins but are not up to date. The public is welcome to use them as well as Baywood Cottage guests. Please keep in mind that Baywood Cottage is located across the street from a mobile home park. This space is occupied by families and children so please be respectful with noise and activity. Thank you for understanding.

Getting Around:
Everything you need is within walking distance a bike ride or a short drive. Please take into consideration that Uber, Lyft and taxi's have limited availability due to location in a semi remote area.

DOG POLICY: This property is dog friendly. There is an additional pet stay fee of $50 for booking with a dog. (Low shedding dogs under 50 pounds are allowed, dogs over 50 lbs with low shedding will be considered on a case by case basis.) If you are considering bringing your furry family member, please let the host know when you book. Farmers Market- On Mondays from 2pm-4:30pm you can explore Farmers Market and shop from your favorite local produce and shops.

Sea Pines Golf Course- Sea Pines offers free live music outside for families and children on Saturdays. Bring your own lawn chair or set up "picnic style" while you enjoy food and beverages from the bar. Often times there will be bounce houses and slides for children as well.

Montana De Oro State Park- Take a short drive towards the beach! Once entering the state park you will have trails, coves, beaches and peaks to explore. There is a trail/walk for everyone at every level.

Elfin Forest- Is adjacent to the Morro Bay estuary. The Elfin Forest is known for its pygmy oaks, seabirds and coastal panoramas.This board walk style loop makes it convenient for those traveling with dogs or children.

Los Osos gets limited service from Lyft, Uber and taxi services due to location in a semi remote area. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please plan accordingly.

Welcome to Boho Aframe! Our cozy retreat on an acre of land. Enjoy the convenience of a 2-minute drive to Montaña de Oro State Park, a 15-minute scenic drive to Morro Bay Rock and a walk a few blocks down to the Bayfront. Additionally, we're about an hour's drive from the beginning of Big Sur's coastline, offering easy access to one of California's most stunning natural wonders. There are two residences onsite. There's a breezeway between the two of them and they are close in proximity. Many guests find our place quite peaceful and a lovely getaway. While our neighborhood typically offers tranquility, occasionally there may be noises, we may also have tasks to attend to in the yard and may be around enjoying the shared yard space. We host a maximum of 2 guests 1 dog NO exceptions. Regardless of age each individual counts as 1 guest.
We do NOT make exceptions to our cancellation policy. It's your responsibility to purchase insurance if you would like to be reimbursed for reasons and timelines outside of our policies. Please note if you cancel some fees can be non refundable.
When applicable we charge a 65$ fee for early check in, late check out or date alterations. All date alterations will remain at the original nightly rate unless changing to dates that are of higher value.
You can not make reservations for someone else. We recommend purchasing a gift card and giving it to someone instead.
In booking our place you agree that you are financially responsible for covering replacement/repairs costs in the case that damages are caused by you and/or your associated party. We are not responsible for any damages done to your vehicle or any other personal property.
We do not accept check in or check out on major holidays.

Check out instructions for our guests are; clean dishes and place them in dish rack. Then please turn things off (ex turn off, BBQ propane, thermostat, lights) then close the windows and lock the doors. That's it! (for pet bookings please wash dog bowls and pick up poop)

In a quiet corner of Baywood Park sits a cozy home near many prime Central Coast attractions such as, Edna Valley and Paso Robles vineyards, the ocean side cliffs and mountain vistas, and close to Montana de Oro State Park, the miniature old trees and board walk in the Elfin Forest, an Audubon overlook, San Luis Obispo, Cambria, Hearst Castle, fishing, kayaking to the sand spit or along the bay and harbor, walking the quiet neighborhood streets and the many local trails, etc. The cottage is located across the street from the Morro Bay estuary with access just a few feet away. It's a short walk to old downtown Baywood Park with its Ale House, fresh bakery, farmers market, cafes and fine dining. For shopping enthusiasts, spend a day in Cambria or San Luis Obispo, which are a short drive away and support thriving restaurants and stores. Rent this home with a sense of humor as a giant rooster sits in the front yard ready to do battle with the bronze Los Osos bear next door. Wild flowers fill the yard in the spring. It's a restful and restorative location that has served us well for many years.

After WWII, my Aunt Millie (a nurse during the war in the Pacific) moved an 800 square foot cottage down to the waterfront, pioneering the community of Baywood Park. She placed her home in the middle of sand dunes across from the estuary and had the help of my grandfather and uncle making a gem of a cottage. Aunt Millie's great nephew built the central enjoyable feature of the home - the wood deck overlooking the bay. This is the favorite feature of the home for outdoor living. It overlooks the estuary, the changing tides and comings and goings of a great many birds. During the migratory season, wake up to the cooing of the birds on the bay.

Upon arrival:
A family member will greet you and walk you through the property showing you where things are located. (A mask can be worn dependent on guest's preference). Or, a contactless arrival can be accommodated easily.

Walk to the bay or downtown in 2 minutes. Restaurants, bars and a market all 2 blocks away. Private entrance completely private with no shared space.
The space
I remodeled this unit with all my previous stays at arbnb and hotels in mind. One of my priorities was usb ports being nearby. I have 16 usb ports available throughout the place. I also like a good shower that doesn't scald you if another faucet is turned on. I put in new plumbing to prevent that. A new bed and a variety of pillows with protective liners to choose from is also important to me. I think it has all helped me to make staying here very pleasant.
Please note: My cat, Sylvester, has taken over many of my hosting duties. He will greet you and probably escort to the unit. Many guests have fallen in love with him. Jett, my dog, is also very friendly. If you don't want to be greeted by the dog, please send me a note and I will restrict his access to the yard as much as possible. I can not keep the cat from his duties. He comes and goes at will, and I can't keep him in.
Other things to note
I have a young dog, Jet, two cats, Sylvester and Sally. They are all very friendly. They do not go into the guest unit but love any attention they can get. I keep cat and dog treats on the desk. Feel free to hand out treats if you like.
