This was one of the most unique properties we’ve stayed at for an extended wine weekend getaway. When we first arrived we were greeted by goats, llamas, and horses, which in my opinion was a wonderful welcome. The property itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed and decorated throughout. You can tell the owner, Jen really put her time and special touch to make the cottage feel like a special getaway for guests. She was so attentive to all our needs/requests, but still maintained a sense of privacy. In addition to the beautiful surroundings and property, there were special treats when we arrived, including a complimentary bottle of wine, delicious manchego cheese, and a basketful of various snacks. The refrigerator was also stocked with drinks, wine, and, our favorite, farm eggs! Although the kitchen is compact we made several meals during our stay with no problem at all and used the grill to cook dinners and roast some fresh vegetables we picked up from Finley Farms just down the road. The location is perfect and central to Santa Ynez Valley wineries, as well as dining options. We visited many wineries throughout the weekend and our furthest drive was under 30 minutes. Although the property is close to everything it’s still private and quiet. We took morning runs and enjoyed passing by farms, horses, grapevines, and other stunning properties. We had an amazing few days and can’t wait to visit Anavo Farm again soon!"

Welcome to a gorgeous Los Olivos private gated hideaway walkable to the downtown area and tasting rooms. This is the ideal California wine country sanctuary to sip delicious wine and relax with a loved one or take an overdue solo self-care adventure.

This rental is not for the entire home. It is a private bedroom, bathroom, jacuzzi, and garden within the home. Guests do not have access to the living room or kitchen. It has a separate entrance and is closed off from the rest of the house, but it is not a detached unit. It shares a wall with the rest of the home, but is extremely quiet and private.

You will wake up in a king bed to the lovely sound of morning birds as you step into a large private garden with fruit and olive trees, outdoor dining table and a meditation area.

Oh and don't forget the private jacuzzi cleaned after every stay!

THE SPACE

The home is right behind the new Auberge Mattei's Tavern, but less than half the price per night and much more private! The entire property is gated and very secure. The room is not a detached unit. You will have your own entrance. The space is extremely quiet and private and has no access to the rest of the house. The garden and jacuzzi are also private. The host lives on the opposite side of the large house.

You will enjoy a very high end King Size mattress, linen sheets, organic cotton towels, a mini-fridge to store wine and beverages, high speed wi-fi, and a wall mounted TV with premium cable and every streaming service.

Other amenities include central air and heat.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. You agree to not use the internet/wifi for any illegal activity.

This two-story cottage sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms and a single sleeping loft. All beds are appointed with hotel-quality linens.

Each ground-floor bedroom has a queen bed, while the loft has a full-size futon bed. The loft also features windows on all three walls, making this the perfect spot to take in the incredible view of the surrounding vineyard.

The updated bathroom features charming details, a walk-in shower, and skylight.

OUTDOOR AREA

Sip morning coffee while marveling at the view from the front deck.

Fire up the tabletop gas grill for an alfresco meal under the shade of the oak trees. The side yard seats eight between a picnic table and two Adirondack chairs.

Complimentary Wi-Fi and driveway parking for a maximum of two vehicles. All-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during the rainy season (November - April) to navigate the unpaved road to the vineyard.

This rental does not have central air-conditioning, however there is a split AC/Heat unit. Loft access is via a steep staircase, and the ceiling is low.

The road leading to this private cottage continues on to the main house, and guests of the main house will occasionally pass by.

LOCATION

Wine enthusiasts will enjoy staying right in the middle of an active vineyard! Your cottage is surrounded by vines.

For hiking and biking trails, head 17 miles to Gaviota State Park, located right by the beach. Cachuma Lake Recreation Area is 22 miles away and offers additional outdoor adventure.

For shopping, dining, or an evening out, venture 6 miles to Buellton, 10 miles to Solvang or Los Alamos, or 12 miles to Lompoc.

All structures have on-site devices for your security – these may include security alarms, decibel monitoring (which do not record voices), and exterior motion sensors or cameras.

This is an active vineyard and we have day workers on property and occasionally have summer night sprays and harvest in the vineyard.

This apartment is the a replica of the famous round tower (Rundetårn) that is in Copenhagen, Denmark. This “Round” 3 story apartment (so be aware you will be climbing stairs!) is located right in downtown Solvang so is within walking distance to everything in town. The luxury apartment designed in a modern, cozy (HYGGE) Danish design can very comfortably sleep 2 and can accommodate 4 with a second Murphy bed located in the main living area downstairs. It has a giant 80” TV for all your movie/sports watching - a great spacious, fully equipped kitchen and just a great vibe to the whole place - we hope you will love it as much as we do!

There is lovely morning sunlight in the kitchen (and blinds to block it if desired). Living Room: Cozy, warm and comfortable area. Very large screen TV for use, books and games. There is a large chest style Murphy Bed that we did not use. The open concept with the kitchen flows nicely. Also downstairs: Laundry room off kitchen with half bath. We did not do laundry but the area is modern and clean. Having a second bathroom is wonderful. Upstairs bedroom: Wow! Warm, cozy and luxurious!! LOTS of mirrored closet space. Extra pillows and blackets. Really great blanket on lounging chair that can be used downstairs for snuggling while watching TV. Bathroom: Two seperated vanities with sinks and lots of counter space. Plug in lighted make-up mirrror. Large shower with dual shower heads. This is a fab bathroom. Rooftop deck: A circular open metal staircase leads to thee rooftop deck with bartop table seating for morning coffee and evening drinks. The views from here are wonderful, mountain vistas as well as the the town and the windmill. Everything was lit up for Christmas and so festive looking. Our dog would not climb the stairs to the rooftop deck as much as we tried to encourage her. We ate breakfast two times at Brekkies. They have a great outdoor space (dogs allowed) and the best gluten free waffles I've ever had. We would recommend this property!!"

This clean, well-appointed upstairs studio at Casa Rivera, is steps from the vibrant Los Olivos wine tasting scene (we have lots of 5 star reviews of our other "Sweet Queen Retreat" downstairs space on the same property). The 560 sq ft studio has a king size bed and sleeper sofa, two private decks, and a kitchenette with sink and fridge and lots ways to make coffee. With all the other thoughtful details we are known for, your stay is sure to be memorable.

This spacious studio is ideal for two people but can accommodate three between a king bed and a futon-style sleeper sofa (complete with a mattress topper and bedding tucked away in the closet until it’s used). With its open plan format the king bed is adjacent to a separate lounge area with a 55” TV so it can be easily viewed anywhere in the space. A long chaise sits in the corner by the window for comfy reading and napping. The kitchenette has a sink, mini-fridge with freezer and is equipped with lots of things to make coffee - french press, pour over, single serve 12 cup brewed, bean grinder, frother, as well as half n half and Nut Pods creamer in the fridge. There is also an 18-bottle wine fridge to take care of those treasures you bring home from a day of tasting. The bathroom has a shower tub combo and there is a built in dresser should you be coming for more than a couple nights. Just off the lounge area is a covered deck with Adirondack chairs, a propane fire pit and beautiful views of the lush hillsides which surround the town - a perfect place to watch the sun set over Ballard Canyon. Just outside the front door is a second deck that usually gets full sun and is an ideal place to grab some privacy outside. Ample parking space in the gravel area. The garage below the apartment is for full-time tenants use only.

We live in the main house on the hill, and there is a separate guest house on the property that is rented to full-time tenants. Both are just a short walk from the apartment up private driveways.We kindly request that you observe the privacy of the full-time residents. Feel free to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the estate by taking leisurely walks on the main road running through the property. We are in the country and there are bugs and wildlife. At night there is a chance of seeing a raccoon, skunk, deer, opossum, or coyote. They will very rarely approach or even come close. We are surrounded by working vineyards, and ranches, so you may see people on the ranches or in the vineyards throughout the day.

It is located in a cute residential neighborhood near the main drag in Buellton. The rental itself is a separate building behind the main house. It has a private, fenced in patio out front. And even though you’re near the main house, it felt private. Parking was easy. The beds are comfortable but do have a foam (or something similar) topper if that’s an issue for you. The shower controls are set up backwards so point the stick end towards the C to get hot water. The owners were very generous with what they supplied for the kitchen and bathroom. The check-out procedures were very easy. There is heat and A/C in the great room. Overall it was a great place and we would definitely stay there again."

- "My friends and I were looking for a comfortable, clean, newer, two-bedroom place to stay in downtown Solvang and stumbled upon this unit. It was absolutely perfect! It was great for hanging out, and it also had two bedrooms with full baths, so we could have a little privacy too. The unit was very modern and clean but still felt very cozy. The patio area outside and parking was a great bonus as well. The unit is only a few minute walk from restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shopping. The living room provides plenty of space for you to spread out and play games, watch a movie or comfortably read a book. The chef’s kitchen is perfect to make any meal you can dream up. It’s outfitted with vintage Youngstown metal cabinets; professionally rehabbed and painted a brilliant teal color, and topped off with cherry wood butcher block counters. Full-sized stainless steel appliances include a fridge/freezer with ice maker, a gas stove with 5 burners (including power burner), and dishwasher. It’s fully equipped with a drip coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, silverware, utensils, and plenty of pots, pans and baking dishes. A custom bar with three seats plus a nook counter table with 2 seats provides plenty of seating for your group. In the main bedroom, enjoy a queen Tempurpedic bed, 300 thread count linens and down bedding, plush wool carpets, comfy reading nook and a private sliding glass door entrance to the back courtyard. The second bedroom also features a queen bed, retro parquet wood floors and a built-in dresser and work station. If you're working remotely, it's the perfect spot to set up office, and includes super fast wifi for zoom calls, a color printer with paper, ergonomic desk chair, laptop stand and surge protector with multiple standard and usb ports. The bright bathroom has marble flooring and countertops, plus a large subway tile walk-in shower with two nooks and a small bench. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion are all provided. If you feel like getting out, spend some time on the private front patio and garden, and perhaps you'll see Solvang's horse-drawn trolley pass by. You can also hang out in our back courtyard garden. Featuring drought tolerant and primarily native plants, the garden changes season-by-season, and always lends a little color to your scenery. It's the perfect place to dine outside or relax with a glass of wine. Access to the house is easy with two parking spaces in the tandem driveway. Each building on the property is separate, so you will not have anyone staying above you, or sharing a wall. The house is at the very front part of the property and the most private of the three. It best accommodates 4 people, but if you have a child or extra guest, there is a sofa in the living room suitable for a person 5’6” or shorter (no pull out sofa bed). Extra linens are provided. Bedding and towels will be provided, along with toiletries such as soaps, shampoo/conditioner and lotion. We offer EO Products, which are free from synthetic fragrances, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and GMO-free. Our linens and towels are freshly laundered with detergent that is hypoallergenic and contains no dyes, phosphates, ultraviolet brighteners or perfumes. **Please note that Solvang requires a 12% occupancy tax be collected on the rental rate. The tax is based on the nightly rental rate, and not on the cleaning fee. A Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate from the city is on display in the unit.** The house is a private single-story space that has its own entrances (2). The front patio and fenced yard overlooks one of Solvang's main streets, and is for your exclusive use. While your driveway is for your personal vehicles, occasionally owners or other guests may walk through the area to access a gate at the end of the driveway. The back courtyard is available as well, if you'd like to spread out and hang in the garden with a glass of wine or dinner. Use of the common area (Courtyard) are subject to availability, depending on use by owners or other guests. Parking is a cinch in Solvang. You can leave your car right in our driveway, and make your way on foot. If you don't feel like walking, you can rent a surrey cycle for up to 8 people, or rent a fun, motorized golf cart "Moke" to tour the valley. Or, catch a wine tour bus and travel in style to all of your favorite wineries. There is also an Amtrak bus stop two blocks from us, so if you're coming by train, consider making that connection. One block away is Hotel Corque, where you can catch a free shuttle to the Chumash Casino. There are also shuttles to Santa Barbara, LAX and points in-between. **Note - The rental provides two parking spots on the property. If you have more than two vehicles, there is plenty of free street parking with no limitations on time or days of the week. On extra busy weekends, you may have to park further out, but it would be very unusual not to have a spot within one block of the cottage** **Things to note** *The house does not have a formal dining room or dining table. There is seating in the kitchen for 5 people - three on the bar, and 2 more on the counter-height nook table. There is also an outdoor table in the courtyard area which comfortably seats six. *While the communal courtyard area is technically shared with other guests, it has been our experience that it will rarely be used by anyone from the other two cottages. They each have their own patio and tend to stick to those private areas. So it’s very likely that if you want to have a meal at the table with your group, there probably won’t be any conflict with other guests. *We do not allow pets in the house, due to upgraded features like hardwood floors and wool carpeting. However, pets are allowed in our other two units. We ask our guests to follow strict rules when bringing a pet, and during our many years of living on the property, we never had issues with any of the pets, including barking. We also ask pet owners to keep their dogs on a leash while in the courtyard area, and most people adhere to this rule. But you should be aware that you may encounter a dog if you are in any common space, including driveways. *We have been told many times how quiet our property is, and have experienced this ourselves during the time we lived there. But it should be mentioned that the home is directly next door to a hotel and restaurant. So you may hear people chatting on the patio (mostly during warmer months), and at the end of the night they may dump glass bottles into the recycle bin, which can be heard, especially if your windows are open. We also share an alley with Solvang’s wonderful outdoor theater. Recent upgrades have minimized noise coming from the theater, but you can certainly still hear it when outside or when windows are open. During the summer months, there may be plays or musicals, and occasionally concerts. The theater is subject to Solvang’s noise ordinance, and most guests are thrilled to be able to listen. During the day, you will hear pedestrians walking by and talking, riding surrey cycles and laughing, and the horse trolly jingling down the road and an occasional leaf blower. Overall you can expect daytime vibrancy, and very quiet nights with the exception of the above mentioned.

Comfy queen size bed in the bedroom. We have a queen size air mattress that can be set up in the kitchenette/living area for a little one. Space will be tight with the extra bed, but if you are out and about a lot and only using the apt for sleeping it will work great. Two adults max in the space is comfortable.

We have a dog named Layla, She has a big bark but super friendly. Just don't be alarmed if you hear her. And if you love dogs...she would love to meet you. Otherwise, she is kept out of sight. Update: one more friendly rescue has joined the pack!
Laundry is right next to apt. stocked with green laundry detergent & is included in your stay.

Along with the bed, in the Airstream, there is a living area with a small kitchenette, closets, a small bathroom with a shower and a table. In the canned ham other than the queen bed there is a closet. However there is a full kitchen set up outside along with a picnic table, and a fireplace. Other amenities include: 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, on site food trailer, a restaurant and more.

Condo is right off the 101 freeway, very close to many of the famous wineries in Santa Ynez. 5 minute drive to the the famous Solvang town which is a small Danish theme town. Grocery store and fast food places really near by.

The space
Check in at 3pm. Top story has the main bedroom, which has a king size bed, a full bathroom, with 2 sinks. Down the hall you will find a washer and dryer, next to the 2nd bedroom that includes a queen bed, and full bathroom. The second floor has an open floor plan which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen area. The kitchen has a bar counter along many of the basic every day appliances. This floor also has a half bathroom and a small deck. The first floor has a bedroom which includes a full size bed and a full bathroom.
