- "Full disclosure: we didn't get to stay here. This is why I would absolutely give it 5 stars regardless: We got caught in Tropical Storm Sara which left us stranded at Belize City. Every hotel in the immediate area was booked. I was able to find this at the last minute and booked it. Erroneously, their website had not shut down in time to prevent me from booking there because they too were experiencing flooding and had to shut down their resort. While most others could have just looked at us and said "sorry, too bad" they not only helped us, but assisted us in finding another hotel. Pete, the owner even gave us a ride to our hotel. Let me tell you, when we get back here one day, we will come patron the resort when it's not in a storm - they were so incredibly warm, accommodating, and from what we could see in the dark, the resort grounds looked amazing. Come check them out!!!! "

- "Staff were all amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our creekside cottage was perfect, the bed was comfy, loved the outdoor tub, and even had our own nespresso machine!! Tours were a little pricey so in all honesty, some we booked ourself. Loved our mayan cooking class and excursions through Upsidedown Tours, which the lodge introduced us to, hats off to them especially kevin and orlin!! A beautiful stay. You won't be disappointed. They seem to have booking sales too, so check and see."

- "This is an eco-lodging/ foundation. We elected to stay here because they run environmental programming in the local forest/ jungle. We had a 9 y.o. With us. However, we came during low season and staff was on vacation. So, no programs. The cabin was very nice but we were 5 so we, the couple, were planning to sleep in the back room. However, we brushed off critters and debris from the bed. It turned out the back room was not well sealed. In order to have a peaceful sleep, we ended up moving the mattress to the living room and slept there. The potential while staying here is good. Very lovely area. We just hit it wrong. Nice breakfast service at the restaurant. "

- "The Tuscan home was wonderful with lots of indoor and outdoor living space. The kitchen was the best-appointed I have ever seen in a VRBO - definitely everything you would want and in great condition. (If you want to cook it would be most convenient to go by a grocery store first). Although no air-conditioning the upstairs room cooled off adequately in the evenings with just the fan. We had kids sleeping downstairs where it was much warmer but it didn’t seem to bother them. The swimming hole was peaceful and just a few minutes walk away. Meals at the restaurant were beautifully presented and prepared - must be ordered in advance! The property is quite large with many other smaller buildings tucked along landscaped paths, a lotus pond, chickens, a nice loop trail through the jungle, etc. It’s located almost halfway between Belmopan and Dangriga. This gives access to lots of activities if you have your own vehicle or the owners can arrange a tour pick-up. The owners are very kind and helpful and were welcoming of our children (ages 8 & 10)"
