- "Kevin was a responsive host and helped us with the booking of a good catamaran tour. We liked the location of the property as it was close to areas with restaurants and beach clubs. We felt safe in the neighborhood. The downside of the location is the noise. The property is next to a bus station whose PA system can be heard inside the apartment. The building is also close to entertainment/bars that are loud late into the night. Finally, Kevin let me know that there is a limit to the electricity included in the room rate and that meant that we had to be judicious when we ran the water heater, the AC, and the washer/dryer. Overall, we liked it although we will look for a less noisy Playa option in the future."

- "Very beautiful " - "Great stay!" - "Clean facilities. Relatively modern. Very friendly staff. Anyone complaining about bad service is the problem themselves. No it’s not a high end luxury hotel but everything is as it should be. Beaches are quite nice, they maintain fairly well. Ofcourse a few rocky sections but plenty of clean soft white sand through the 5 resort chain. The food is acceptable, the nicer a-la-carte restaurants are better, the buffets are nothing to write home about but totally fine. Lots of selection. Facilities at the palace are nice, including covered, open air seating eating areas. Some of the rooms can be a longer walk depending on how much you want to pay but lovely walks, lots of beautiful vegetation, flowers etc. the one thing I found a bit goofy was distance to bathrooms from the beach at the palace more specifically. But they are always very clean bathroom. Very impressed with facility cleanliness overall and staff friendliness. There are activities offered from within the facility, some are paid, some aren’t. We didn't even feel the need to leave the resort with all the activities they had going on. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised by the daily housekeeping. Sure, snagging a table at the restaurants was a bit tricky, but we managed to get in, and the buffets were pretty good too. Even though we didn't bring our kids, we could tell it's a great spot for families with lots for the little ones to do. We tried out everything – jet skiing, kayaking, yoga, water aerobics – and had a blast. And the pool bar – seriously, the food there was top-notch. - "Beautiful location set in a jungle and nearby the ocean with a great beach. Very convenient with it being a halfway point between the east side and downtown, about 20 min drive either direction. Breakfast buffet was great with being able to order fresh prepared eggs. Many of the other buffets were precooked and who knows how long it was sitting out. Be careful eating any veggies uncooked. I made the mistake on last day of eating a salad for lunch and got very, very sick. Other than that, a great experience and would go again but avoiding most of the buffet options unless cooked or knowing when it was prepared."

- "The property is quite large and signage is discrete which is great if your 20 but a big problem when you are older. The colonial has 2 side by side buildings with the same exact decoration- causing confusion for the mature set. Over the 5 days my watch was counting steps I took a total of 69000 . Yes there is some exercise mixed in, but most of those steps where based on the property's lay out. So bring good walking shoes when visiting But the food was very good and I have been to many "all inclusives" to compare it to. The beach is beautiful. A wonderful place for a family to gather. "

- "Beach" - "Excellent " - "Will be returning back again" - "Property fantastic! Room maintenance over the years has been a bit sloppy but the room was very clean with a fantastic view. Dining was fantastic as well and it's hard to imagine a more beautiful beach. Staff was very accommodating and friendly and while seemed very appreciative of tips did not treat us any differenly on occasions that we forgot to bring cash for tip. Drinks were fantastic as well. The only real negatives were non working elevators for the duration of our syay in our building(2000 building) and smoking outside of the designated smoking areas was not enforced at all including the resort owned beach area. Being as we are both very sensitive to the smell and the dirtiness of using the sand as an ashtray this was upsetting. "

- "I loved everything with the only one exception I was expecting a nice beach area and that was not the case" - "We had a wonderful time at this property. We went in February. We stayed in the adults only section and I'm glad we did because the other reviews say it stinks near the swampy area and it did, probably from the sulfur of the swamp. The signage needs work as we had no idea what to do, or where to go for dinner. Breakfast and lunch, we ended up going to the Brazil place and we were told that it needed no reservations for dinner, but for dinner, it did. We ate at the Mexican buffet for the most part as the International buffet was not good. Those are the only 2 place you can eat dinner without reservations. The app refused to work for us, so we eventually went to the info place next to the fun center (with the Foosball and ping pong tables), and we did get reservation there for all the days remaining. We ate at the Mediterranean place one night, the Brazil Place the section night and the Teppenyaki (Japanese hibachi) place the next night. All these places severed the most excellent food. We did end up going to Tulum for a half day and it was quite busy but we still had a good time. We did book a bed on the beach for $99 dollars US, but it was unclear where we were to get that, so we ended up in the adults only section until lunch when we asked about that and we were in the wrong place. There are 3 beds in the other section that were reserved, so we ended up moving to that section and we got chicken wings and fries, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and about 8 beers."
