An older home with modern updates, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. As you enter through the backdoor, you'll head up a few steps to the kitchen.

From there, you will walk to the open living room and dining space. Upstairs is a lofted bedroom with two single beds and a futon. It's a spacious and funky space to hang out or sleep in.

Back on the main level, you will find two bedrooms, each with their own style, along with our main bathroom. We've included some basic toiletries in case you forgot to pack them!

During nice weather the front porch offers a relaxing space, while out the back door you'll notice you're steps away from a city park.

Lastly, the basement offers a quiet queen-sized bedroom, laundry room, bathroom and large living room with a pull out full-sized memory-foam bed. A perfect space to hang out in between activities.

The whole house is yours during your stay. We try to minimize any disruptions during your stay and want you to feel at home.

We ask that you do not use the utility room or the access closets up in the attic bedroom. Hopefully this doesn't need to be said, but please stay off the roof.

We are located by an open field so please keep the doors shut so we don't end up with mice! Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome and we have provided dog dishes and dog-waste bags for guest use. Please pick up after your dog and kennel if leaving them at the house when you are not there.

There is extra pillows and bedding in the bedroom closets.

A snow shovel is in the garage. Snow will not be removed during your stay. If it is a sizeable snow fall, we will do our best to come help.

Absolutely no smoking or open flames. This is our property and we want to keep it smoke free and reduce fire hazards.

Built in the 1950s, this home has been updated all while keeping its throwback charm. All new appliances in the kitchen in 2022, a fully renovated bathroom and two large rooms with an extra roll-out cot. This house is within walking to downtown, Pioneer Park, the movie theater, campus, and sits right off of 6th Street for easy access to many local shops and restaurants.

Perfect for family reunions. Located in Eastern South Dakota near a state park. Lodge has a large meeting area, full kitchen, two sitting areas with tvs, a game room and a three seasons room. Also have several grills and an outside sitting area for fires. Six campsites are also available for additional charge.

The outside fire pit and lawn/field were great for playing ultimate frisbee and lacrosse and relaxing around the fire in the evening. The inside event room worked great for us to all eat meals together and even have point pong tournaments on the table we brought. This house is located near the Hillcrest Aquatic Center so you will be pretty well centrally located. The property has a large patio with a charcoal and gas grill available for guest use and two different kitchen areas.

This is a cozy home that we love!! The master has a king, 2nd and 3rd rooms have queens and the 4th room with a twin and trundle. The two couches are also comfortable.

The space
This house is located on a corner lot right across the street from the SD State University Campus. This is a split-level style home so there are several stairs throughout. The large kitchen has plenty of counter space for cooking, gathering, or hanging out. There are 6 chairs at the dining table and barstools for the island.

There is a walkout basement to the private backyard area. There is an outdoor patio table with seating for 4 and an umbrella for shade. There are two living room areas with couches and seating options for your group. One is on the same level as the kitchen and the other is ground level.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Bedroom #1 & #2 are upstairs next to the bathroom with a tub/shower. Bedroom #3 is downstairs next to the 2nd smaller bathroom with a standing corner shower.

Bedroom #1: King Bed with desk and one window.

Bedroom #2: Queen Bed and Full-size Futon and two windows.

Bedroom #3: Two Full-Sized Beds and one window.

Relax on the deck facing Lake Campbell and take in a beautiful sunset - go fishing off the dock or stroll along the two acre property with cattails at the back of the property with water views. Ideal for ice fishing in the winter and fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming and water sports in the summer.

Walking distance from public beach and Kattails Resort (bar, restaurant, convenience store). 2 kayaks are available for use. Close to public boat access.

The space
The recently remodeled home on Lake Campbell offers three bedrooms, (sleeping a total of 6) one bathroom, an open kitchen/dining and entertaining space.

Outside you will find a large two acre property with beautiful trees and kayak /water access. The back of the property has beautiful water views and kattails. The front of the property has a large deck facing the lake that is right across the street. The waterfront has a small fishing dock for fishing, swimming, etc.

The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath and beach towels. Bedrooms have lush bedding, and there are board games for entertainment.

The lake is to the front and the back of the cabin.

You will be able to use all appliances within the space including washer, dryer, washing machine, coffee pot, Keurig, oven, refrigerator (with ice maker) and dishwasher. Kitchen basics like plates, silverware, cups, pans, utensils, etc. are included.

There is a small dock for your use, across the street, in front of the cabin.
Feel free to use the grill, fire pit, patio or deck. We have an outdoor table with 6 chairs available for your outdoor dining / hanging out needs.

Please keep in mind before booking, the cabin as our personal vacation home and we are excited to share it with you. However this means the outbuildings, bedroom and bathroom closets and drawers will contain some our personal items and clothing so they will not be available for storage during your booking.

There is plenty to do on the lake, but if you're looking for other things to do in the area note that Lake Campbell is just a short driving distance to the following communities.

We are continually making improvements to and working on the property so there may be outdoor projects or landscaping projects in progress and there may be a few things that are not exactly as what is pictured, as we continue to make it even cozier and nicer for your stay.

Please note: There is a street between the house and the lakefront. Please consider this before booking with small children.

We hope you love the cabin as much as we do. We ask that you respect the space and treat it with care as we do.

No more than 6 guests at the property unless prior arrangements have been approved.

Mowing and yard work will normally be done on Wednesday or Thursday. During hot summer months we may need to water outside plants on other days.

Garbage pickup is Thursday morning. We will pull garbage can to the street Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

We do have a small cabin separate from Terry's Place Cabin (Main Cabin) on the property that we stay in/use from time to time, and we may need things out of the garages that we use for storage, so you might briefly see us during your visit but we will respect your privacy and make ourselves scarce.

Right on the shore of Lake Campbell! Recently renovated, large house!

Outside you will find a large deck to spend your time on. The deck is child proof and has a baby gate built in for safety. Or, if the deck is too hot you could try the pergola seating space or screened in patio.

We live here, so we should have anything that you would need! Beds are supplied with clean, nicely made bedding. We have plenty of towels, pots and pans, coffee maker (can make either a large pot or single cup), plates, bowls and silverware, kids plates, cups and silverware, yard games, lake activities, etc. We have plenty of kids toys inside and outdoor activities as well including a water table, swing set, and playhouse.

As I mentioned, we live here. So although I wish we could have empty closets and ample space for you to store your clothes, we simply aren’t that organized and clutter free! I someday hope this could be just a hobby home where all of our stuff isn’t here, but that day isn’t today! Keep that in mind if you choose to book.

Being right on the lake means you have access to our dock where you can spend your days fishing! If fishing isn't your thing, feel free to enjoy our kayaks (we have 4 of them!) or our four person paddle boat. If you bring a boat, you can tie it up to our dock as well. Grill out, make a camp fire, have some s’mores, enjoy the rope swing and spend your time enjoying the view from our deck or the pergola.

There is also a swimming beach just a short ways down from our home.

Other things to note
Our 5 bedroom home currently consists of one king bed, three queen beds, and one full size bed with a trundle underneath. We also have an air mattress if needed (ask ahead if possible!). In addition, we have two large sectional couches that make for easy sleeping for the kids!

We have several adult and child games in the closet and bookshelf downstairs for your family to enjoy.

We continue to make improvements on our home with the money made from renting our home. Don’t be surprised if something doesn’t look exactly like the pictures as we are constantly making changes to the home to make it even cozier!

Please ask ahead of time if you need the pack and play (as it may not be at the home otherwise) or if you need the air mattress. Also, please let us know if you have small children coming and may need a high chair, booster seats, baby equipment, etc and we can leave it out for you as well.

Ask for any local recommendations! We highly recommend checking out the Brookings Children’s Museum if you are bringing children! It is an awesome, creative space with tons of fun activities for the children!

While our home may feel expensive to you, I just wanted to mention .. it is a LOT of work getting our house to look like four kids and a husband don’t live here.. and getting packed up for the week/end is a major chore. We love renting our home and sharing our space but in order to do so, it has to be worth our time and effort.

As this is our family home and the home we will be arriving to once you leave, we ask that you treat our house as your own and leave it in the condition you would want to return to your house in :) our cleaning fee only covers the initial cleaning for your arrival. Welcome to Lake Campbell Lodge! Relax at this peaceful place to stay. Sleeps 18. Five bedrooms and 3 bathrooms located on Lake Campbell. The property is a few miles south of Brookings, SD or 41 miles north of Sioux Falls, SD. You can watch the sun set from one of the 3 decks. Pool table, poker table, gas fire pit, wood fire pit, and two docks on the property. The public beach and Kattails Bar and Convenience store is 300 yards away. 3 night minimum. No bachelor/bachelorette parties.
