Charming details fill this entire home. The central living room has plenty of seating and a smart TV for your entertainment. The kitchen is well equipped and has an island for extra storage and entertaining. Main floor has 2 bedrooms including primary suite with king bed, smart TV, and blackout curtains. Secondary bedroom has queen bed and built in desk.

Basement is fully finished and has second living room with cozy sectional and smart TV, game room area with second dining space and Murphy bed, 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and the other with full bed), full laundry room, secondary kitchen and 1/2 bath.

You will also be close to a bus stop that will easily take you anywhere in the surrounding area. This location would be great for small families to stay and enjoy the bustling downtown night life and beautiful scenery of Norfolk.

The space
Our guest room is located in the basement of our house and has a private entrance from the backyard. There are two twin beds for accommodating two people. There is also room for a pack-and-play or blow up mattress to fit an extra baby or child in the room.

PLEASE NOTE: The space is not meant to accommodate more than two adults. Adjustments can be made for kids, but more than two adults will most likely find the space uncomfortable.

There is a bathroom just down the hall from the bedroom with a bath and shower.

Guest access
Guests have access to their own private room and bathroom. They are also welcome to use the laundry room and kitchen, both of which are shared by my family.

During your stay
I am a stay at home mom so my kids and I are around most days to help with anything our guests might need. My kids love being able to play with any other kids who stay with us and I am happy to meet and visit with our guests as well.

The basement room also offers privacy for when our guests would prefer to be alone.

Other things to note
Please note that the space will comfortably accommodate up to 2 full grown adults along with 1 young child or infant. 3+ adults may find the space insufficient.

Please also note that we do have a dog, Toffee, who is very sweet and loves guests. She mostly stays in the backyard, but she will be your best friend forever if you give her a few pets! She will NOT have access to your room at all, but if you do not like dogs or if you wish to bring your own dog, this may not be the place for you.

The space
Bedrooms are on a garden level with laundry across the hall. A lower level basement is used as a play room that has 2 couches, a Bowflex workout bench that you are welcome to use. The south side of the house has a large patio with chairs , grill and fire pit and is a perfect place to sit and relax, or listen to the music from the summer “Music in the Park” events or high school cross country track meets that run right by. Skyview park had multiple special events.
