We are located across the street from our other Stay Properties. Just steps to a dip in the lake or a cocktail on the patio of a local establishment.

Once you arrive at Stay Suites and look at the building you will see a white door at the base of the steps. It will have a sign that says ENTER HERE...go in that door and up the steps Haywards Bay is 2nd door on the left. You will receive an access code before you arrive and you use that to enter and to lock the door.

Haywards is a 2 queen bed suite on the 2nd floor of the Stay Suites. There is a stove, microwave, coffee pot. We do have a community closet that has other cooking items in it, in case you are needing something else.

Our 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom Airbnb in Arnolds Park, Iowa draws inspiration from the historic Abbie Gardner Cabin. Our vacation cabin is located on the stocked fishing pond at the popular Bridges Bay Resort. Enjoy your own private cabin located on a private drive just off the water of East Lake Okoboji. Everything you need for your stay is provided by us: towels and linens, kitchen ware, gas grill, three bikes, fishing poles and tackle, and peaceful relaxation.

Up to six guests get FREE daily access to the Bridges Bay Boji Splash Waterpark and outdoor pools. A short walk from the cabin will get you to the waterpark as well as Bracco, an island themed restaurant and bar with a full menu and all the exotic cocktails that one can imagine and The Waterfront Grill & Café, a year round dining option.

Perfect family vacation! Well appointed two bedroom, two bathroom cabin with a loft and a fireplace. The loft has a beautiful partial lake view! We also added the use of our golf cart for a small daily fee (included in rental fees/cannot be used in winter-fee removed). Our cabin sleeps four comfortably. Master bedroom has a new king memory foam bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The cabin is fully stocked with towels and linens for four. We have a great selection of family games and movies to keep everyone entertained. A smart TV in the master bedroom and loft, and a large TV over the fireplace with Roku allow you to log into your personal Netflix, Hulu, etc. accounts. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need including a regular and Keurig coffee maker, air fryer, crockpot, toaster, microwave, and dishwasher. Wonderful patio with outdoor table and chairs, additional chairs, fire pit, and gas grill. Washer and dryer included.

The cabin is located in wonderful Bridges Bay resort which has 4 outdoor pools, an indoor waterpark, lake access with a dock, updated fitness center, arcade, zip line, basketball court, playground, fishing pond, restaurants and bars. The rental includes six passes to the waterpark daily! We are located about 1 mile from Arnolds Park, and there are several public golf courses, restaurants, and bars nearby. We are also one of the first cabins in the neighborhood so we are very close to the restaurants, water park, and pool. No pets, no smoking, and no bachelor/bachelorette parties.

It is located behind Barn Swallow with access to best bike trails in Okoboji steps away from the cabin. The driveway is short but did accommodate a double jetski trailer with pickup next to it. No street parking. 1 pot and 1 pan. No mixing bowls. No washer/dryer. Safe neighborhood for walks and a tiny little yard library is 2 blocks away. "

The space
THINGS TO KNOW

This is a lake cottage in a wooded area. There are lots of wildlife and insects. The webbing forms on the house 2 days after a full house power wash. The bathroom was a poor do-it-yourself project by the previous owner and will need to be redone completely. There is a 90 degree angle right after the drain and no amount of snaking or clearing it will speed up the drainage completely. That being said, it gets frequently cleared. We got this place with plans to fully remodel one day; but for now it is a cute little cottage where up to 9 people can stay for a very reasonable price and where our family enjoys spending our time once in a while. It is older, requires a lot of love and care, which it will eventually get.

If you are the type of person that expects 5 star luxury, this is not the place for you.

There is a sweet little old rocking recliner that has seen many days. When I initially walked in the house before buying it, I thought that would be the first to go. Then I sat down in it and fell in love. That is my favorite spot to relax and read a book.

We take pride in our home. It is clean and cozy and hopefully you can appreciate its charm as we do.
