This fresh, clean cozy little house is located just steps to the Henry Doorly Zoo. - "The townhouse was clean - super easy access to Old Market area - the roof top deck was wonderful with some beautiful sunsets! Having a garage to park in was appreciated and communication with the manager was fast. We did have 4 adults which did make it snug and having the half bath on the walk in floor was topic of conversation. The kitchen was a bit sparse but we weren't planning to cook anyway. If I were to make suggestions I would ask for some extra coffee cups, a couple of extra chairs on the deck and maybe something to set luggage on. Our stay was short and we did enjoy ourselves."

There was no shortage of towels or washcloths anywhere in the house, which was really nice to be honest!! The kitchen is stocked great for cooking, even some spices and evoo are provided if you need them! There was more than enough drinking glasses and coffee/tea mugs… and a pretty decent selection of coffee and tea to choose from!! All the appliances are brand new and work TREMENDOUSLY!! We were also located only about 10 minutes from everything we did… Zoo, Old Market, The District.. it was easy to get around and find our way… the neighborhood we stayed in was nice and quiet and honestly it was quiet all the time, not just at night.. so it was great to go on Vacation and actually rest when we wanted to!! - "We met our son/DIL in Omaha for a long weekend. The property was perfect for the 4 of us and their dog. Especially enjoyed having 2 masters.Only small negative was the condition of the kitchen when we arrived. A previous guest must have cooked bacon or something else greasy on the stove because there were grease splatters all over the front of the microwave and there was food crumbs/a dirty spoon in the sink and the dishwasher was full of dishes. Once we got that cleaned up, everything else was great. We would stay again."

Cozy basement retreat located in the heart of Omaha - be close to Memorial Park, UNO, Midtown Crossing, Blackstone Crossing and Benson, not to mention several miles from most of the major hospitals. The private room is designed to be a retreat with a private bathroom that has a full shower, jetted tub, and a spectacular walk in closet. The laundry (also located in the basement) and kitchen are shared. During nice weather, enjoy the backyard patio and grill. I live primarily upstairs.

Even though there are shared spaces and a shared entrance, the room comes with a mini fridge, desk and chair so that you can maintain your own space. Bring your own streaming device to use on the smart tv in the room or kick back in the comfy recliner.

During your stay
As a teacher, I am busy during the day (except for summer months, I will be in an out). I am home most evenings and primarily spend time upstairs except for laundry; I will stay out of your way as much as possible but I do enjoy meeting new people. There is a gate at the top of the stairs to keep the dog upstairs when I dog sit for a friend who travels for work periodically. I am always available by text, and can return a phone call when I am free.

Other things to note
I had dog sit for a friend who work out of town periodically; his dog, Jack, is old and friendly, rarely barks and spends most of his time sleeping. He is kept upstairs behind a gate but he will greet you happily if you come upstairs. Additionally, I will be getting a new dog December of 2023 myself; he will also be kenneled upstairs.

A great home located in West Omaha area. Perfect for whoever visits here on business. The main level of the house is occupied but you will have a private entrance that leads to the entire downstairs which consists of a huge open space used occasionaly to teach ballroom dancing, a kitchenette and a private bedroom and full bathroom. There is no stove in the kitchenette, however a countertop double burner is available. A refrigerator, microwave, table with 4 chairs are also available.

The space
Once downstairs you will enter a large open space that is attached to the kitchenette. The bedroom and bathroom can be closed off with a pocket door for complete privacy.

You have access to a magnificent patio in the spring, summer and fall. It is filled with plants and flowers and garden art. You also have access to grilling your favorite meal on our grill.

The Room is beautiful. It has Mohagany Wood Furniture with Brown & Yellow & Gold decor. Done up in old world decor. The bed is a queen size bed with a light, fan, & accent chair & nightstand. TV with firestick in room. We are Gluten Free.

We are within 5 minutes of two lakes. We are located in a safe neighborhood. We are within 15 min. Of three movie theaters. Plenty of restaurants and activities.
