- "The hosts were welcoming but not intrusive during our stay. The lodge lounge, eating area and patio was set up comfortably with views of the farm and mountains. Breakfast with home made biscuits and gravy, fruit strudel and fresh ranch eggs was delicious. Beside good brewed coffee they have an expresso machine and would offer a variety of coffee drinks. There is a well maintained trail that goes in a loop around their property with views of Salida valley. About a 35 minute walk. Their farm has hens, ducks, llama, cow, goats and their dogs. Would visit again if we are passing through that way. We enjoyed the suite on the ground floor that we had."

MBR has sliding glass doors to a balcony, beautiful ceiling architecture with a ceiling fan, a private bath, a desk, and a reading nook with a recliner. The kitchen has a microwave and glass top range. There is a full-size, refrigerator with an ice maker. It is fully equipped including almost any small appliance you would need. We provide most essentials for your stay. The four 6ft X 6ft windows and glass French doors in the main living area make you feel like you're sitting out in the aspens and pines surrounding the cabin. The leather and chenille couch sits 6-8. Fire up the wood-burning stove and watch for deer to nestle in at dusk on the 2-acre lot.

This is a great log home in a beautiful location. NO CLEANING FEES. Located 4 miles south of Fairplay in a gated community, Warm Springs Ranch, that borders National Forest land. This property is a Convenant Controlled Community which is a Gated Community. Due to drought conditions in the West, Fires Will Not Be Permitted. You are liable to see elk, antelope, deer just outside the entrance to this area. At night, the stars seem to jump out at you and views of beautiful mountains abound. The changing seasons brings surprises of beautiful aspen and great snow, while you are cozy in the cabin with a welcoming propane stove and all the amenities of home. All roads are well maintained but four wheel drive is required in the winter months. Skiing in major ski areas can be found at Breckenridge (29 miles), Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Monarch, Loveland and others. There is some thing for everyone and stocked fishing ponds located within the subdivision with no fishing license required. Lovely Rec Center in Fairplay.

- "We stayed for 5 weeks in this wonderful cabin! The cabin was very spacious for 2 adults and our 2 dogs. I honestly could not tell that dogs had stayed there before. It was super clean and ready for us when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked, had everything to make your own meals, and a nice grill on the patio. It had cable and wifi, so we could work remotely from the cabin. The views from the back patio are amazing. Lots of roads to walk the dogs, we did find some trails around the area to walk. Closest town is Buena Vista, which is where we went to get groceries and check out some restaurants/bars. There were also some nice trails in BV to walk the dogs. Takes about 25-30 minutes to BV and Breckenridge is about an hour away. We explored some of the surrounding areas too, Leadville, Salida, Guffey, and Red Cliff. Did a few snow mobile trips while we were there, had a really great time. Cabin is on a dirt road, which is noted in the listing so that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, it also snowed while we were there. Once the snow stopped they plowed the roads, so it was pretty easy to get in and out with no issues. Lots to do if you are willing to venture out. If you get a chance to stay here, don't pass it up, it is a great place and Terence is a super great host!"

- "We left many of the amenities unused. The inside is very functioinal for a two person get-away. The layout is well thought out and the property manager was extremely responsive to any issues during our stay. We didn't have the chance to explore any of the outdoor amenities like the gazebo, firepit and hammock. The views are wonderful. The sounds of the Akansas River in the background are very soothing and the river is an active fishing destination as was evidenced by many anglers trying their luck along its multi-mile banks during our stay. I know we'll be back."

- "We had a great stay in Fairplay! The space was the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. Everything you need is readily available. We were able to easily drive into Breckenridge, Copper, and Keystone for day trips. I would note the queen bed in the non-bunk room is more firm and it was extremely windy while we were there - but that's more of an FYI, not anything against the property. " - "This place is awesome! The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed, the bathroom was well stocked and the living room had a great selection of DVDs to choose from. I was particularly pleased to find the gem, Pay it Forward as that was one of my favorite films from the early 2000's. We really appreciated the cabin being pet-friendly as well and our dog had a blast exploring the area. You're pretty immersed in the local wildlife here and the view from this place is truly amazing. We were even lucky enough to see a moose just feet from the kitchen window one night. Even though this cabin is in a gated community, it's still very private and perfect for a nice little getaway from the city. As a note to future guests: bring some long-sleeve shirts and sweatshirts, even in the summer, as it did get pretty chilly and windy at night. But I guess that's to be expected at nearly 10,000 feet. Thank you to the homeowners for sharing your lovely home with us, we would love to come back again!"

Welcome to my piece of peace, I hope you love your time there. (No, it is no longer near any fire ants, it was relocated)

- "My buddies and I really didn’t expect much when we decided to rent a yurt for a weekend fishing trip to spinney mountain reservoir. That being said, we were pretty easy going about how small the yurt actually was. We weren’t, however, easygoing about the fire ant hill that the yurt was placed on top of. Well, we tried to be, at least. But after cooking dinner and trying to fend off the fire ants from the tent, our possessions, and our selves for about an hour and a half, we decided that there was no way we could actually stay in the yurt for the night. The ants were all over, and we were being eaten alive even when not laying down on the air mattresses to sleep. Our legs were all covered in bullseye target shaped bites. These were not like normal ants, they were incredibly aggressive and their bites were painful. It wasn’t worth trying to stay, so we cut our trip short a day and drove 2 hours back to Denver in order to escape the fire ants and get some rest. If it weren’t for the ants, the yurt would have been sufficient. It was just big enough to for the 3 air mattresses, so we certainly would have stayed the night under normal circumstances. Perched at nearly 9,000 feet in elevation on a secluded fenced five-acre expanse, this off-grid mountain cabin offers a sanctuary of rustic charm with unexpected luxuries. Immersed in nature's grandeur, the property boasts unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views that stretch to the majestic Collegiate Peaks. Each evening, witness breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky in vibrant hues over the rugged mountain landscape.

Our Story, Your Escape:
This cabin is the culmination of a long-held dream and a lot of hard work – from hand-pounding hundreds of T-posts for the fence to designing and building this sturdy retreat. We fell in love with Hartsel's rugged beauty and believe it's one of Colorado’s hidden gems. We’re thrilled to share this special place, where you can witness those same breathtaking sunsets that stole our hearts.

The Cabin itself is 288 sqft, featuring a bedroom with a queen-size memory foam bed. While this rustic cabin doesn't have running water, it does have a stand-alone sink in the bathroom along with a composting toilet. We provide a couple of gallons of drinking water; however, we recommend bringing extra. Outdoor shower heated by solar.

WINTER STATUS: From Oct 1st to March 30th, no water onsite due to freezing temperatures when unoccupied.
CLOSED: Dec 1st to March 30th due to the weather being too cold for composting toilet. If you have an alternative toilet and want to stay, reach out.

- A futon that can fold down into roughly a twin for a single person or two kids.

- Kitchenette Corner: Equipped with a 42-liter refrigerator (allow ~30 mins to cool) and a 900-watt microwave. We also provide basic supplies like paper towels, paper plates, and plastic utensils.
- Features an innovative composting toilet. A foot-pump sink with a 5+ gallon fresh water capacity is also provided for handwashing; greywater is captured for us to empty.

Important Information:
The gate MUST be closed after entering or leaving. Free-range cattle are common in this area; if they enter the property, please notify property management. Antelopes are welcomed visitors, and you will most likely see a lot of them out there!

This private home, within the Warm Springs Ranch gated community, abuts thousands of acres of National Forest and BLM land. You'll be driving up gravel and dirt roads, higher and higher, for about a mile to reach our comfy home at close to10,000 feet in elevation! Experience breathtaking panoramic mountain and valley views while sitting in the comfort of the living/dining/kitchen combo room, or outside on the wrap around deck, or sitting beside the outdoor fire pit. Finish your day of hiking, fishing or skiing with star gazing from this spectacular property. The solitude is soothing - no highway noise, no airport noise, just quiet.

Our home sits on a one acre lot within the Warm Springs Ranch community. Wild game (deer, elk, and moose mostly, but there have also been reports of bear and mountain lion) regularly roam the Ranch and, because there are no fences dividing the properties, sometimes they roam right onto our lot. Be vigilant of your kiddos! There are designated hiking trails within the Ranch, as well as five private fishing ponds stocked with rainbow trout. Bring your rods and reels!

The wood burning stove is operational, there is plenty of wood and kindling under the deck as well as fire starters and lighters to get you going. There is a propane fire pit in the backyard to enjoy. The wood burning fire pit is strictly off limits per Park County fire ban. Please do not burn wood outside.

There is a small grill (charcoal and lighter fluid provided) on the ground level patio. Cook your favorite steak or grill the fish you've just pulled out of the ponds while enjoying the view.

Warm Springs Ranch is a Covenant Controlled Community about 4 miles south of the town of Fairplay, Colorado. It is a gated community with two entrances, one off of Park County Road 20 and the other off of Park County Road 5. Gate entry code will be provided prior to check-in. Electronic keypad on each front door for easy self check-in.

Tarryall Reservoir is roughly 17 miles from this property, if you go right to the end of the road and left, the dirt road leads you right to serenity. Bring a SUP, kayak, fishing pole, ATV, and really make the most of it.
Hartsel is a beautiful area of Colorado with lots to see and do - plenty of hiking nearby as well!

Just a safe place to park on the perimeter of our off grid living compound with wifi. Our property is under construction so don't expect a romantic getaway, it will be in your view but the entire campground is free of clutter. The stars are great at night and it is pretty private other than that. This is a camp ground to park your RV up to 40 ft, trailer, camper pull or pop up. yes you can also camp in your car!

This is a shared space (shared with just myself). You’ll be renting a private bedroom in a small two-bedroom, one-bathroom house from 1889 that was recently renovated. It’s not overly private, but it’s comfy and clean. We are also an 8 minute walk from downtown Salida.

Welcome winter enthusiasts! The Rockies are at over 100% snow pack. Monarch is poppin - get the tree skiing while there are still trees. Cross country skiing top notch right now. Snowmobiling fantastic - especially in the high country.

This cozy little studio is a perfect launch point to explore Salida & the surrounding area. 20 minutes to Monarch Ski Area. Delicious Mexican food truck just steps away. Access hundreds of miles of awesome mountain biking out the front door. Minutes away from Salida Hot Springs pool, Soulcraft Brewery, and downtown historic downtown Salida where you can enjoy the river walk, dining, and lots of great shops.

The Owner's Suite at the Lil’ Red Cabin has all the comforts you need for an amazing Colorado getaway! This remodeled carriage garage studio sleeps three with 1 queen bed and 1 pull out twin. There is also a desk/work space with high speed internet (the fastest internet you can get in Salida). This space is completely private with its own private entrance.

The living space has been updated with touches of local art. Enjoy sleeping on a five-star memory foam queen bed with luxurious Comphy premium linens.

Please note, the space does NOT have a full kitchen, but there is a small refrigerator w/freezer, microwave, and an electric kettle with coffee and tea available. There is also an authentic Mexican food truck around front named Dos AA’s.

There is no television but there is high-speed internet. In addition, there is an additional indoor private secure storage area to keep your extra luggage, bikes, or skis. There are also a couple of patio chairs on the mini patio to enjoy the mountain views and the high mountain bluebird skies and sunshine.

We use primarily organic, paraben-free, cruelty-free detergents and cleaners for a healthy, and minimally scented environment.

The Lil’ Red Cabin has a large bathroom with double shower/massage shower head and a full-size washer and dryer.

The Lil’ Red Cabin is single story. For those with limited mobility, it is very easy to park close to the front door. In addition, this sweet suite offers plenty of parking for your RV, van, and/or trailer.

We usually have a few resident deer milling about the yard and among the trees and sheds out back. Please do not feed, approach or attempt to touch baby fawns, deer, or bucks.

The Lil' Red Cabin welcomes humans only. NO Pets Allowed - no exceptions.

Guest access
Parking is very easy. You can park just feet away from the front door. Two wide sidewalks access the space. Solar lights light the pathway and the keypad. There is plenty of parking to park a large truck, camper, or trailer. A five-minute drive takes you to downtown Salida.

Right across the street is an access point to the Monarch Spur Bike and Walking Trail. We recommend you walk down to the stoplight to cross over to access the trail. The Monarch Spur Trail is a paved trail which connects this part of town to downtown and the river walk. There are spectacular views of the mountains on this easy-to-access path.

You can also access hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails out the Lil Red Cabin's front door.

Salida Hot Springs and the new Salida Skate Park are within walking distance. The Lil Red Cabin is just a 30-minute drive to Joyful Journey Hot Springs and Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort.

Easily access shopping, restaurants, and amenities on Highway 50 in minutes.

If you are a mountain biker -

Across the street from the Lil Red Cabin is an access point to The Monarch Spur Trail. The Spur Trail connects with Arkansas Trail mountain bike and hiking trail system. It is about a 10 minute flat bike ride to the Arkansas River where on the other side of the bridge are hundreds of miles of super fun mountain biking in the Ark Hills. The Ark Hills get a lot of sun and often can be ridden year round.

On the other side of valley from the Ark Hills is Methodist Mountain, another great place to mountain bike. You can also easily access the Methodist Mountain Trail System by riding out the backdoor up County Road 111 to County Road 110. (Stay on the same side of the highway as the Lil Red Cabin, turn left on road right after Sonic.) Keep riding uphill and around mile 3.2 you will run into the Rainbow Trail, where once again you are accessing hundreds of miles of trail. The Rainbow Trail is one way to descend from the Monarch Crest Trail (one of the most epic rides in the world). Methodist Mountain trails are on the shady side of the valley so these trails are not usually accessible in the late fall, winter, and early spring.

There are light cooking facilities in The Hub's 24 hour lounge. We provide a small toaster oven, microwave, hot water kettle, and sink. The historic Cook Shack is currently a communal hammocking and fire pit space, and does not include communal cooking facilities.

Please keep in mind that we utilize StarLink satellite wifi. We do our best to provide internet access at your accommodation; however, we do not guarantee it. If you do need internet access, you should always be able to get it in our Main Building.

Other things to note
One room rustic cabins contain a queen bed and one set of bunk beds (two twins) for a total of 3 beds and 4 people. Bedding is provided based on the number of people on the reservation. Towels are not provided for cabins.

Remember this is a camping experience where you can see critters from a cute chipmunk to a black widow spider. Enjoy the nature and let the Front Desk know if we can assist with any pest control!

Great place to come and relax or cut loose. Everyone welcome! Fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing, hot springs, hiking, zip lines, horse shoes, snowshoeing, entertainment, horseback riding. anything your heart desires. Hiking around the property is also a blast. Very quiet and secluded, with the greatest views ever! Buena Vista is a 25 minute drive for all your shopping needs. Fairplay is 30 minute drive to South Park City. Hope to see you soon.

The space
The house has a full kitchen with all the necessary utensils, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dish washer, stove and oven. Two refrigerators, washer and dryer, three full baths, one with a cozy tube. Three bedrooms one with a hamook and queen. Two decks, fire box, acres of land so very secluded and quiet. Great for a base camp for hunters, fishing, hiking, golfing, snow shoeing, hot springs near by. Fun for the whole family. Buena Vista is a 25 minute drive. You will enjoy whatever you choose to explore.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house. My work often requires being off the property, however I will be staying on the property most of the time. The house is set up so you will have maximum privacy. I have a private entrance and my own living area in another separate area. So it's all yours to enjoy. Plenty of parking and storage.

Other things to note
The closest town is Hartsel which is 10 minutes away. There's a great restaurant/saloon to enjoy. Buena Vista is about 25 minutes from the house, has shopping, eateries, pretty much the whole shabang. Hot springs, golfing, and lots of fishing. Cripple Creek, an hour and ten minutes away is a gambling town. Lots of fun stuff to choose to keep busy! Best fishing in the state. Private lake. Eleven mile and Spinney are real close. Known as the dream stream! Skiing at Monarch is the closest, about 55 minutes, then Breckenridge is about one hour and 10 minutes. Great hiking and snowshoeing all around.
