This takes up all of the bandwidth of the internet when watching TV so you can't use it on your tablet or other device. If you try to use the internet with TV on neither the TV or your device will work. The bed is weird. I don't know if has a type of topper on it but it is kind of like sleeping in a canoe. The unit is fine otherwise. The location is fantastic. Easy walk to the Gondola. Easy walk to main street and all of the fun in town. I would stay there again despite my 2 complaints."

If you have never been to the area, and are planning an extended stay, please be aware of the following.

If you wish to buy any items online during your stay, Amazon does ship there, but picking up can be a bit of a hassle. They don't deliver to the house. There are two storage sheds sitting down on the main road in Placerville. One is for FedEx and one is for UPS. They have padlocks and change the combination every couple of months. They are right by the Placerville Fire Station. You can also have smaller items shipped to "Danny" which is the Amazon Locker located at Clarks market in Telluride.

Placerville is about 3 blocks worth of storefronts along the road and that's it. It's a very small town. There's not even a gas station so plan accordingly!

This cute and cozy a-frame is on a 50 acre semi-primitive campground just outside the historic Colorado mining town of Rico. Fish, ride or walk along the full mile of Dolores riverfront on the property, or head into town. Drive ~35 minutes to Telluride to take advantage of world-class outdoor recreation, dining, and festivities. Pet's are welcomed on the ranch for an additional fee of $25/dog. Wifi is available for an additional $5/day - please contact the host for access.

The space
The ranch was the site of a sawmill in the early 1900s when the old Rio Grande Southern and Galloping Goose Railroads ran through the property along the Dolores River. All that’s left now is a little shack in the middle of the meadow and some remnants of the railroad tracks in the river.

Guest parking is located to the left when you drive through the gate. All accommodations are accessible by a short walk or bike. We also have staff on-site that can assist in escorting you and your gear.

My place is close to great views, hot springs,restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, the neighborhood, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Only 4 miles from Ouray in a quiet and peaceful setting in the pines. Enjoy sitting on our front porch and taking in the views and having coffee as the sun comes up over the mountains.

Located in the heart of Ridgway—a soulful mountain town with walkable access to trails, food, and music. The Adobe is a handcrafted, community-centered space that welcomes conversation and connection.

The space
You’re staying in Ridgway, the creative heart of the Western Slope. Less polished than Telluride and far more grounded, it’s where artists, hikers, and wanderers gather. The Adobe sits right in town—walk to everything, with the river just on the other side of the property—close enough to stroll to, far enough to sleep soundly.

The Adobe Inn is a cherished Third Place—a shared refuge for locals and travelers alike. This summer we’re reopening the bar and planting a back garden (construction may be in progress but won’t affect your room). Every tile and wall is hand-done. It’s soulful, textured, and real.

Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am.

Orvis Hot Springs is located right here in Ridgway, about a mile from the Adobe. Clothing optional, open-air, and one of the best soaks in Colorado.

Guests will have keypad code for their personal room and also entrance. All public areas downstairs are available at all hours during your stay.

I am always available through the Airbnb app, and often I am nearby. I live in a small travel trailer that is often parked on the property.

Elk Meadows is a quiet community to the south of Ridgway. It is approximately a 15 min drive up county road 5. The property is approximately 2000 vertical feet above town with a perfect mix of aspen, ponderosa, gamble oak, and an unbelievable array of wildflowers.

The views of the Sneffles range to the south and the Cimarrons to the east are unequaled.

** 4WD/AWD AND GOOD TIRES ARE ABSOLUTELY NEEDED TO REACH THE HOUSE IN THE WINTER**

A Subaru with good tires will work just fine.

The space
The living room, dining area and kitchen form most of the main level. The master bedroom and bathroom are upstairs with a huge walk in closet. The entirety of the house is suffused with morning sun.

In the summer, the orientation of the house keeps it nice and cool. In the winter, the sunlight streams in and warms the space nicely.
