The San Juan National Forest offers plentiful trails for horseback riding, hiking, ATV riding, and areas for hunting. Inside, the kitchen has all basic cooking supplies and spices, a stainless steel fridge, wood and leather dining room set, and a rolling island for additional cooking or serving space. The wood burning stove in the living room is perfect for those cool nights!

Guest Access - Entire 2 bedroom/ 1 bath house is available. Located on a dirt road that is easily accessible for any vehicle. Almost no neighbors visible from property.

Interactions with Guests- The best way to get in touch is through the app, although I am also available via calls or texts.

Other Things to Note- Pet friendly (for an extra fee) Good cell phone reception. WiFi. No tv. The windows and fans bring in a breeze, and an AC unit is available for those warm summer days. Enjoy rural life where you can wake up with the birds, gather duck eggs, and enjoy the deer, signs of elk, and singing coyotes at night. Mancos is home to award-winning cider and art, a comfy local brewery, outdoor tequila bar and tacos, and a bakery that’s a destination in itself. This is the perfect hub to combine relaxation and adventure: art, music, biking, hiking, pack-rafting, skiing, or National Parks … the choice is yours!

Our yurt is a social space with a mostly open floor plan and a few private spaces. The loft has a queen bed under the dome with amazing stargazing and a twin XL bed. The main floor has two private bunked spaces with a total of 4 twin XL beds. The futon folds out to a comfortable full bed as well.
Outside you’ll have a large, private, covered deck with a Blaskstone grill, outdoor dining set, and lounge chairs to enjoy the views.
You will have a full private bath with shower (no tub) and on demand hot water.
The full kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and dishes you should need (ask if you need something for that special meal). There is a full size oven, gas stovetop, blender, coffee maker, and toaster. Because we designed it to run on minimal electricity there is no microwave.
You’ll find brand new high efficiency washer and dryer for your use. Water is precious here in the SW so please try to run full loads and do only what you need.
Full heat and AC are run on a high efficiency heat pump mini split but the real magic for the mountain weather is the oversized wood stove.

The location. Upon arrival in Mancos on our first visit, people we met separately at the brewery, the bakery, the coffee shop and the cidery had already shared with us that this is a place with ‘steers, queers and everything in between’. We loved the humor and honesty in that statement.. .and the warm and welcoming way we were greeted wherever we went. The next day we put an offer in on a house and 6 months later we were building a yurt with a whole community of helpers. That Spring, 16 tiny ducklings arrived to help us launch Scrappy Duck Farm (follow our not so pretty learning curve on IG). Chaos, learning and laughter ensued as both the farm and the yurt came to fruition… great therapy to weather a pandemic!

One of Katie’s favorite things is sitting outside and watching the flocks and flocks of birds start and end their days as the sun rises and sets. We’ve tried to create a warm, welcoming and comfortable experience that matches this community. You’ll find plumbing and electricity, heating and air conditioning, wide doorways and hallways, accessible bed height, and pretty darn good wifi for a rural getaway. Layer up for temperature changes, bring boots to enjoy the mud and help gather eggs from the ducks, wear slippers for warm toes and to avoid splinters. If you’re lucky you’ll be treated to clear skies and the milky way or cloudy skies and incredible thunder and lightning shows. Mother Nature is not kidding around here.
Easy access - just come up our driveway past our house and barn and the yurt is right there. Please park off the circular driveway by the front door of the yurt.
From Mancos go south on Road 41 (Weber Canyon). We are about 7 minutes south of town on the left (1/2mile past the stop sign at road G where it turns to gravel). Look for the BRIGHT GREEN mailbox. We have a shared driveway so take the immediate left through the green gate and then up the hill. Please drive slowly as there are animals free ranging on the property.
We live on site and are available if needed. You have your own space and you may see us on the property. Feel free to interact as much or as little as you like.
You’ll know you’re getting close when you see the lone donkey guarded by myriad prairie dogs standing at alert. You’ll start to breathe again when you laugh and have to slow down for the peacocks meandering across the road at the stop sign. At dawn and dusk all of your senses will wake up as the flocks of birds begin and end their day flying en masse above.
This is a farming community so be careful on the roads. Stopping for cattle, deer, horses, peacocks, turkeys, and other wildlife is a common event - if you're lucky you may even get delayed by - or caught in - a cattle drive! We are surrounded by large acreage farming and BLM land and most nights can’t see a single man made light to the south. You’ll find most everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
This location is a perfect hub for 4 Corners Adventures but you can also keep busy right here in Weber Canyon. The rural gravel road is used regularly for walking and biking, horse-back riding and cattle drives. Many neighbors also free-range their animals so the occasional guinea fowl, turkey, dog, goat, or peacock may slow your commute.
More nearby adventures can be found on horseback trail rides from Mesa Verde Stables (1 mile down the road), or on guided mountain biking and packrafting adventures from our friends at Four Corners Guides at the end of the canyon.
The driveway is gravel and there is accessible parking right next to the yurt for easy unloading. No 4-wheel drive is needed but the roads can be dusty and muddy.
Few notes and rules to keep things safe and set expectations for the experience.
We built this yurt ourselves and want you to have a great time. It has been a labor of love on nights and weekends to create a home away from home for you. Please let us know if you need anything or if there is anything we can do to improve your stay or future stays.
1) No pets. We love animals too but because of the nature of the property we cannot welcome other animals. Seeing eye dogs and ADA recognized service animals exempt but not other service or companion animals.
2) No loud parties or groups larger than 8.
3) No access to other buildings on the property.
4) Please take off your shoes indoors.
5) No car washing.
6) No unattended children under 12 in the loft.
7) No smoking or vaping indoors
8) ABSOLUTLEY NO FIRES OR CIGARETTES OUTDOORS. We live in a high fire danger area and any violation will result in a $200 fine and immediate termination of the rental without refund.
Notes:
We have 20-60Mbps (or faster) STARLINK wireless internet but there is no TV in the building. We can provide a monitor, projector, screen, and whiteboard on request.

Ravensnest consists of Deer Haven guest Cottage and the Grizzly Rose guest Cottage along with the Bears Den studio apartment. We are surrounded by mesas and mountains in the valley south of Cortez approximately 10 minutes. There is walking and hiking on the property.

Ravensnest is situated on 30 acres south of Cortez. There are numerous Gardens, medicine Wheels, reflecting ponds and many places to sit, relax, expand, and be at peace.

The sky lounge sits in the back behind the medicine wheel. A place to lay and watch our magnificent night sky. Three twin beds and a bin with pillows and blankets are there for your convenience. This listing consists of our 4 bedroom / 3.5 Bathroom historic home which was recently remodeled and outfitted with high end furnishings. The history of the home dates back to the late 1800s as the area's stagecoach and post office stop along Cherry Creek with a pond, irrigated pastures, pine-studded ridges, and mountain views. The home has been outfitted to be the ultimate vacation rental with King beds, pool table, hot tub, two living spaces, fully stocked kitchen and wrap around deck with comfy outdoor furniture

In addition, there is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom single level cabin that was also recently remodeled and is just 50 yards from the main house offering additional bedrooms with privacy but easy proximity to the main house. Both homes feature high speed WIFI and Roku streaming TV.

Located on over 300 acres of lush Southwestern Colorado landscape, your possibilities for relaxation and adventure are unlimited. Spend your morning sipping on coffee at the breakfast bar, in front of the fireplace, or walking along the hiking/mountain biking trails laid out by Durango Trails, a local nonprofit trails organization. Winter activities include opportunities for snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing in the 38-acre meadow. There is also a 9 hole frisbee golf course.

Historic downtown Durango is only 20 minutes away while the smaller, but equally charming town of Mancos is just 13 minutes away.

The town of Cortez is 7 minutes from our home. Our town is a small, quaint and friendly place.

.Spacious enough house for social distancing with gorgeous breathtaking views in all directions. We are just a couple of miles north of beautiful Cortez, CO. The house sits on 12 acres with an orchard, shade trees, fire pit, and wildlife.

In this healing home, you are invited to our events both in the home and outside of it. I am a teacher/practitioner of Yoga, Meditation, Course in Miracles and more - all available upon request.

I am one person in a 5 bedroom, 4 bath home of 2,800 square feet and spectacular views and great sunsets! You will have lots of options for privacy inside and outside. There is an additional bedroom upon request.

The space
The Mancos Inn and Hostel is a boutique style Inn close to the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. It's a 30 minute drive from Durango, a 20 minute drive from Cortez, and sits at the foot of the San Juan mountains. You’ll love the location, the people, the view, and the ambiance. The Inn is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (we do have accommodations for pets ). The Mancos Inn has a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor garden space with fire pit, and great room with TV, computer, and a shelf full of books. It's a great place to chill after a long day of exploring in the four corners. All of this in the heart of downtown Mancos.

You will have access to a private room, shared bathrooms (men's and women's), a fully equipped kitchen, a community room with TV and cable, wifi internet throughout, and a lovely garden in the back with a grill and a fire pit. As a bonus, the Painted Turtle Art Studio and Gallery, which is the Mancos community art center, is also housed at the Mancos Inn. There is plenty to do in the studio from paint your own ceramics to viewing the local artists work in the gallery.

Welcome to the Mesa Verde Tiny House! This cozy, thoughtfully crafted space features a queen-size loft bed, a large shower, bathroom, kitchen, and an open living area with a fold-out futon. Enjoy amazing views of Ute Mountain and Mesa Verde. Sleeps two comfortably; a third is possible, though tight and not recommended, as it requires safely climbing a tall ladder to the loft.

This is a true tiny house.

The space
The Mesa Verde Tiny House is fully cleaned and sanitized between each stay. Inside, you’ll find a full kitchen and bathroom with a shower, a mini-fridge, stove, fold-out futon, and a queen-size loft bed. Six windows and a skylight above the bed offer stunning sunset views over Ute Mountain and stargazing at night. Adirondack chairs outside make it easy to relax and take it all in.

We’re located just five minutes south of Cortez on a quiet 9-acre property that offers both privacy and expansive views of the Four Corners region.

The casita is a great retreat for a couple and overlooks a pond and has an AMAZING view of Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain. This cool space sits far away from our main house for your privacy.

We are close to mountain biking, hiking, and all that the Four Corners offers.

We live in an economically depressed area and we pride ourselves in providing more than living wage employment to our cleaning staff. Our cleaning fee offsets some of that cost. We also charge that fee to make it more reasonable for multi-day stays.

We have an air conditioning unit in the casita for your comfort during the warmer months. We recently replaced our sliding door with a French door (the slider had been somewhat challenging to open and close). Please note. If you enjoy the sounds of nature outside your door, this is the right place. Importantly, no TV, but the casita has good wifi.

Private Bunkhouse at Bright Star Campground is located in the shadow of Mesa Verde Nat'l Park w/ panoramic mountain/mesa views, just 5 miles from Cortez. It has electricity and fans, but no heating or a/c. The cabin comes with twin size sleeping pads. Bring your own linens/sleeping bags, or they are available for rental onsite. Price includes 2 guests, it is $10 each after, up to 7 total.

Bright Star Campground a spacious, rustic campground (lots of critters and nature) located in the shadow of Mesa Verde National Park, with beautiful panoramic views of mountains and mesas. Only ten minutes southeast of downtown Cortez, 15 minutes from Phil’s World mountain biking destination, and 20 minutes to the Mesa Verde National Park visitor center. We are spread across 20 acres with a variety of sites available: multiple RV and tent sites, 6 bunk cabins, 4 tipis, a hogan, and a 2 bedroom home. Many sites have picnic tables and fire rings. The campground amenities include a large communal kitchen and pavilion with free WiFi. The kitchen has a fridge and freezer for guests use, hot plates, toaster ovens, microwave and other appliances, dishes/pots/pans/spices, as well as complimentary coffee, filtered water, and ice for individual water bottles. There is a pit toilet bathroom with double stalls for each side, male and female, and separate ladies and gents shower houses too. The pavilion has an art station, couches, picnic tables, propane grill, ping pong and other games. There is a small playground near the pavilion.

Juniper cabin is our most affordable option with a queen size bed. It has electricity and fans, but no heating or a/c. The bed comes with a fitted sheet only. There are twin size bunks built into one side of the cabin. Bring your own linens, or they are available for rental onsite. Price includes 2 guests, it is $10 each after, up to 6 total.

The space
Bright Star Campground a spacious, rustic campground (lots of critters and nature) located in the shadow of Mesa Verde National Park, with beautiful panoramic views of mountains and mesas. Only ten minutes southeast of downtown Cortez, 15 minutes from Phil’s World mountain biking destination, and 20 minutes to the Mesa Verde National Park visitor center. We are spread across 20 acres with a variety of sites available: multiple RV and tent sites, 6 bunk cabins, 4 tipis, a hogan, and a 2 bedroom home. Many sites have picnic tables and fire rings. The campground amenities include a large communal kitchen and pavilion with free WiFi. The kitchen has a fridge and freezer for guests use, hot plates, toaster ovens, microwave and other appliances, dishes/pots/pans/spices, as well as complimentary coffee, filtered water, and ice for individual water bottles. There is a pit toilet bathroom with double stalls for each side, male and female, and separate ladies and gents shower houses too. The pavilion has an art station, couches, picnic tables, propane grill, ping pong and other games. There is a small playground near the pavilion.

The space
Small rustic cabin on quiet farm setting. Heater to keep you warm in winter and A/C to keep you cool in summer. Sheets available to put on the bed of your choice if you desire, or throw your sleeping bag on top of bedspread. Clean towels in the bathhouse; coffee available to be made fresh by the cup. Best view of the Sleeping Ute Mountain while sitting on the front porch. Watch the horses and cattle in the pastures. Enjoy the peace and quiet!

Bathroom and shower are just steps away, 30ft, at the Wash House, large space. Cabin has no kitchen or water inside the cabin, however, bath house has sink, shower, toilet and washer/dryer. Cabin has electricity and heater & A/C. Shadow the cat will greet you; just make sure he's put out for the night! Remember, sheets are available in the cabin, but are not on the beds. Quilts and coverlets in cabin for your use also. Wifi network hug2g and pw is posted inside cabin. Has strong signal. Centrally located for lots of outdoor adventure! Close to Dolores River, McPhee Reservoir, Mesa Verde National Park, 4 Corners, Ute Mountain and Casino's, Cortez, Anasazi Center, great views, and restaurants and dining. Good for Couples, solo adventurers, hunters, rafters or just a cozy get-a-way. Come relax around your campfire and enjoy breathtaking views from your cozy cabin.

The space
Cozy Cabin with kitchenette, gas stove, futon style bunk bed with full size mattress on bottom and twin on top, windows, fan for the summer and propane heater for winter months. The heater is rated as a ventless propane heater and these are allowed in the state of Colorado. However, please take extra precaution not to run continually without opening a window as ventless propane heaters still do degrade air quality in confined spaces. Small microwave, mini frig, coffee pot, dishes. Cold running drinkable water in summer months (No running water during winter months, but we provide bottled water for coffee, cooking, etc.) Fire pit outside. NO RESTROOM IN CABIN but a short walk to the Clubhouse (apx 100 feet) there are restrooms and showers which are shared by other campers. This Cabin is in a Campground/RV Park setting on 15 acres. Explore down at the tent sites for beautiful scenic views!

Other things to note
There are not any restrooms in the cabin. There is a sink with cold water only. Restrooms are about 100 feet to the clubhouse across the parking lot. Heating source is a propane ventless heater, where a window should be cracked, per the instructions.

This well-equipped bungalow is located in downtown Cortez—a community homebase for all there is do to in the Four Corners. Work comfortably from home, walk to restaurants, grab a beer or coffee just minutes from the front door. The house sits 20 min from the Mesa Verde National Park gate, 15 min from the mountain biking mecca, Phil’s World, or under an hour from downtown Durango. Cortez also has access to Canyons of the Ancients NM. Beyond is Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears, Bluff, UT and Telluride.

The space

Harrison House is a newer-build bungalow in a historic neighborhood on the south side of downtown Cortez. The house has all the modern conveniences, a fun and vibrant aesthetic, and a more open layout.

The house has an open floor plan with a full kitchen, dining area, and living room that flow into one another. The home office sits in one room and the master in another. A full bath/shower is between them.

A full laundry room is available for what may be a much needed, mid-adventure clean-up. A fenced-in front/back yard is available for your well-behaved dog.

This is not your typical Airbnb setup. We often think about the amenities we would love to have when we're in a home away from home – spices, oils for meals, complete cook sets, music and entertainment (including books!) are all things we want to pass on to our guests.

We have a HomePod Mini speaker for playing your music, use your streaming apps on the TV, and enjoy fast, reliable wifi throughout the house and outside using a fiber internet connection. And don’t worry about keys during your tenancy, the front door will be pre-programmed with an entry code.

At over 6,100 feet in elevation, Cortez enjoys cool evenings in the summer, but we don’t typically get enough snow during the winter to worry about getting stranded.

The house has 2 off-street parking spaces and there is usually plenty of street parking. With our keypad lock you will not have to worry about keys! We are in downtown Cortez and most restaurants, galleries, shops, grocery, and coffee spots are a short walk away (5-10 minutes).
