- "A wonderful spot, quiet , dark and so peaceful. Everyone loved waking up to the sunrise over the mountains and the sun hitting the red rock of Ghost Ranch. We took some wonderful walks and loved the cows and the coyotes." - "We were looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights after days of snow adventure at the Taos Ski Valley. My husband and I stumbled upon Vista de Lago and the pictures really captivated us. We've rented cabins and condos before but never tried a house surrounded by serene nature, away from the crowd! We had the 3 kids (teenagers) with us, and our Goldendoodle. The drive from Taos was already scenic but we were in awe as soon as we entered the Abiquiu lake area. It was a sunny afternoon when we arrived and everyone took their phones right away to take pictures of the hills and views of the lake! My 2 girls started collecting rocks and making rock formations! Even our dog was inspecting the rocks and the new terrain, running around freely! At night we were worried the kids will be bored because there was no cable, but who would need cable?!! After dinner we just chilled and chatted for hours, then watched a movie together from the DVD selection available. In the morning we watched the sunrise together and hiked around the area after a good breakfast. It was chilly in the morning but eventually warmed up to become an absolute perfect day. We were a bit worried about cayotes (from another review) and heard a couple of howling and bear-like sounds at night but realized that the community was fenced so should be safe. We were still careful though during our strolls as we had our dog with us unleashed. On the day of our checkout it started snowing and it was another sight to enjoy! Thanks to Larry for giving us this experience and sharing their beautiful house! He was quick to respond and gave us all needed info. We definitely recommend this vacation home and hope to return soon!"

Beautiful Adobe Overlooking Ghost Ranch And Abiquiu Lake
House
Gallina, New Mexico, USA

Please see important NOTE at the end of this description regarding RV's and other recreation vehicles.

'It was all so far away--there was quiet and an untouched feel to the country and I could work as I pleased.' Georgia O'Keeffe

Serenity abounds at Casa Bonita, where it is easy to see why this country had such a profound impact on Georgia O'Keeffe. Light and open, this modern adobe rests on ten acres overlooking Abiquiu Lake towards Ghost Ranch, with gorgeous views in all directions. Picture windows throughout the living area allow you to appreciate the vistas from the comfort of the well-appointed interior. The covered portales (covered porches) are ideal for enjoying the tranquility of the environment. Admire the view of the Pedernal from the portale off of the master suite, or take in the iconic landscape of Ghost Ranch while you grill on the portale off of the kitchen.

Spend your days hiking, visiting area galleries, or reconnecting with your own creative side. And after enjoying the unique sunset at the end of the day, savor the starlight of the unadulterated night sky.

'My first memory is of light--the brightness of light--light all around.' Georgia O'Keeffe

NOTE: RV's, trailers of any sort, large trucks, and small vehicles: motorcycles, skimobiles and such are prohibited in this gated community, called High Mesas.

Stellar, Southwest, Luxury home. Extraordinary location on Abiquiu Lake
House
Gallina, New Mexico, USA

'Breathtaking,' 'Fabulous,' 'Stellar,' 'Magical' - Casa del Rio, a unique southwestern home awaits those who seek a glimpse into what the West was like – before it was “won.”

Casa del Rio offers timeless views of the Rio Chama, Abiquiu Lake, Ghost Ranch - with no other habitation to confound the imagination. The house rests on a mesa about 100 feet above the narrowest part of the Rio Chama, just before it empties into Abiquiu Lake. Guests of the Casa enjoy limited access to the private lakefront. Four circles of stones (tipi rings) found on the land are silent proof that these vistas have been enjoyed by people for hundreds of years.

Inside the 1500 square foot house, you will find all the luxuries and amenities of the 21st century. An open floor plan includes a great room, dining area, and kitchen; all under hand-hewn vigas harvested from the San Juan forest. Leather couches, swivel chair, Taos-made furniture - all make it a pleasure to take in the ever changing landscape in any direction. (Be sure to catch the dawn when the morning light descends upon the water). Hand painted retablo and santos, Navaho and Zapotec rugs, prints by RC Gorman, and Georgia O'Keefe all enhance the experience of being immersed in the southwest.

The kitchen features granite countertops, energy saving appliances, and an island with cooktop. A 42” LED satellite TV, WiFi, and soundbar provide connection to the modern world. (for those who must) Soft foam, queen size mattresses, resort quality bedding ensure your night’s rest – so you can be prepared for your next day’s adventure...

Located in the heart of the Piedra Lumbre (Valley of the Shining Stones) Casa del Rio was designed for outdoor living. Covered portales on the east, north, and west sides provide shade from the ever bright New Mexico sun. The concave shape of the house provides shelter from wind and wraps around an additional 800 square feet of a Colorado red flagstone courtyard. On the courtyard, or under the portal, you will find; a three-burner gas grill, two lounge chairs, a love seat, and table and dining chairs for four.

To complete your Abiquiu experience there is an outdoor hot tub positioned for panoramic river and mountain views. For those who prefer, there is also a two-person, heart-shaped bath. Full moon nights are so bright you can see colors on the walls of the river canyon. On moonless nights the stars seem so close you could almost reach up and touch them...

Regarding thecoronavirus, I would like my guests to know that I take the pandemic very seriously. In addition to already high standards for cleanliness, all surface areas and commonly touched objects like keys, doorknobs, TV remote, etc. are cleaned and disinfected between visits.

The waters of Abiquiu provide an important resting place for migratory birds; a virtual oasis in a land of desert and mountains. Eagles, osprey, geese, and many other species take time to have their needs met on their way to other destinations. Perhaps this description may one day apply to you!

- "The house is very well stocked, we were happy to have all we needed in the kitchen- including 5 different ways to make coffee! The mini split A/C was fantastic too! If you bring a dog take note- there’s a house along the driveway (that’s about a half mile long) that has at least 4 dogs that are not fenced in. The first couple days we took my dog, who is super friendly, for his walk and these dogs came charging at us and sniffed my pup and barked and followed us until we passed their property. It was fine, but one dog started to get a little more aggressive sounding so we started driving past their house to then start our walk or run. Not a big deal, but just something to know if you’re bringing a dog and want to take them on a walk from the vrbo house. We also had been planning to use the twin bed in the covered porch area, but there was some mouse poop on it and lizards everywhere- again, to be expected in this lovely secluded area but just know you may not want to count on using that bed. Really loved staying here and would love to come back in the winter, I’ll bet it’s just gorgeous! 😍"

Martinez Casita - Adobe on the Plaza

In the spring of 2010 Martinez Casita opened also for short term rentals. Conveniently located next to Barranca Plaza Casita, a favorite of many Ghost Ranch visitors for the last 7 years!

- "I really enjoyed my stay in this lovely little casita, though little isn't really accurate! It was super roomy with separate living areas, outside pergola BBQ area and views of the mountains. The casita was convenient for exploring the area without the bother of road noise and I enjoyed the bucolic nature of the location. I was greeted by Nimfa, who was super friendly and kind, and gave me some great suggestions. I would recommend this for anyone who likes to get off the beaten track!"

Casa Paloma Centrally Located Abiquiu Gem: great views, roomy kitchen, new AC!
House
Abiquiu, New Mexico, USA

We are centrally located in Abiquiu (w/ HOA-maintained dirt roads within Prado Valley Ranch). We've just added mini splits with zoned AC tied in with new grid tied solar array...
Pete & I spend part of the fall, winter & early spring in our new New Mexican home, thoroughly enjoying our time there. We stay with an eye to updates & making it a comfortable stay for our late spring, summer and early fall guests. We've added additional seating to the lovely portal & viewing patio, as well as a table for outdoor dining on the portal. We have a picnic table & a grill for the back patio, outside the kitchen, for breakfast dining, or shady meals in the afternoon or evening. He also built a fine, new 'convertible' bench/table for the upper balcony, for meals there or creative endeavors. We offer a carport, to shade vehicles from the most intense summer sun & from surprise thunderstorms with hail. We have many artists who enjoy the breathtaking views that Paloma offers (myself included) & we have made it possible to work from several locations.

Pets (1 or 2 small or medium size well behaved dogs. Sorry no cats, Pete is allergic) allowed on first floor only for a one time per stay fee of $50 per pet. Guests are expected to honor the first floor rule for pets. We also ask that dogs stay off of furniture & beds. Thank you.

Our kitchen is roomy & we love to cook many a gourmet meal there - so bring your groceries in & enjoy! (We supply an array of spices & herbs, condiments, usually coffee & a small selection of teas. We also offer dish & sensitive-skin laundry detergents, a washer/dryer - & even a clothesline.) We leave Casa Paloma in late April or early May, kicking & screaming as we love our stays in NM so much - but we leave a beautiful, comfy home for you to use as headquarters for your own northern NM adventuring.
We ask that you be respectful of our home & hope that you will also thoroughly enjoy the beauty & majesty of place that it offers, there above the El Rito Creek bosque. We adore listening to it happily gurgling below us during our stays. Oh, & did I mention the incredible quiet nights & those unstoppable stars?... If you're looking for a private, natural getaway, Casa Paloma is IT...

We also now offer HORSE FACILITIES! We have fenced the large front area of our property with 4-1/2' to 5' high no-climb horse fencing with a two-stall barn & corral. Bring a couple of horses, your hay, grain & buckets & enjoy ride-outs straight from our front yard! You can ride for miles into the arroyo, just below us, or ride through the plateaus in Prado Valley, where we live (please don't ride cross open fields, which would be neighbors yards), or you can take trails in the nearby Carson or Santa Fe National Forests, just short trailer-rides away. And there is lots of room in the circular driveway to park your rig.
Talk with Laura, if you would like to bring your equines to Casa Paloma. Charge is $100 per horse, per stay or week. (No stallions, rowdy horses or cribbers, please...)

We are in the middle of many historic & recreational sites: Carson Nat'l Forrest is 4 miles north on 554; El Rito village is 8 miles north; the old Abiquiu village is about 8 miles away. Bode's General Store, where locals & visitors gather for food & cheer, groceries & gifts, is across the road. Ojo Caliente, our wonderful local hot springs, is1/2 hour away. Just up Hwy. 84 is Abiquiu Lake - w/ summer recreational activities & beautiful views. Ghost Ranch, where Georgia O'Keeffe painted, is just beyond - about 25 minutes from Casa Paloma). Ghost Ranch now offers many workshops, plus hiking & horseback riding & a fine new history museum, featuring dinosaur fossils found in the area! Close by is Christ in the Desert Monastery, where one can drive preferably all-wheel drive, 14 scenic & bumpy miles in dry weather to secluded peace & check out what the Monks are doing. Awesome Echo Amphitheater is nearby. Tierra Amarilla & Chama, two charming northern New Mexico communities, are an hour's drive north. These villages are only 45 miles from Pagosa Springs. And Durango - a lively little western town - is just 3-1/2 hours from Casa Paloma. The ancient Anasazi ruins of Mesa Verde are just west of Durango - and the Four Corners of UT/AZ/CO & NM are just beyond that - so all this adventure is just one days drive away! The Grand Canyon is about 7 hours west of us.
(Santa Fe & Taos are all within an hour's drive, south or north of us.)

Los Alamos glows directly south of us, with a fine library, a swimming pool, a large Smith's grocery store - and all the scientific history of atoms & bombs one could imagine.
Jemez (hot) Springs; Cliff dwellings of Bandelier Nat'l Monument; the ancient & verdant volcanic caldera of Valle Grande & Puye Indian Ruins are all right in this area. Any one of these (or a combination) make for a fine day's exploratory of culture & natural beauty within a 45 minute drive. Any of these offer wonderful hiking.

Golf?... Well, there are several terrific desert courses! Black Mesa Golf, just south of Espanola, is a half an hour away & offers very nice greens. Buffalo Thunder Casino, about 15 minutes further south, towards Santa Fe, has a terrific (Hilton Resort caliber 27-hole) course, with food, drink & gambling waiting in the wings. Los Alamos also offers a fine public course. Santa Fe has several more.

Hiking is everywhere you turn, out in these huge, open sky lands, starting with walking out the driveway & down the arroyo, just below us on Fort Defina Drive. Take a left & spend tranquil time by the El Rito Creek, a sweet seasonal stream just below our home. We've hiked through the 'neighborhood' and have thoroughly enjoyed the climb & the trails that meander right here at home (a terrific area to walk your dogs). Peace, photos & views abound. Once booked & paid, we offer a comprehensive list of area hiking, biking & riding for your adventure outings.

Plaza Blanca (advanced permission/registration required)- famous in Abiquiu for its geology & beauty - is about 7 miles away, down off of County Road 155. If you're a hiker, you cannot miss a stay here without a least one mind-boggling trek in to these awe-inspiring white cathedral rocks. (An interesting tidbit is that the closing scene of "Cowboys & Aliens" was filmed in Plaza Blanca, along with many, many other Hollywood westerns of yesteryear & recently.)
Note: Plaza Blanca is accessible by gate code. To get this, please register with this private property's owner. If interested, contact daralIslam at PlazaBlanca@daralislam.org to request registration, permission and to get the gate code. It or may not be available for hiking at the time of your stay, as they close it during movie filming.

And, of course, no visit to Abiquiu - O'Keeffe country - is complete until one has explored Santa Fe, only an hour's drive southeast. The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum awaits you, in the historic Plaza, as well as an untold amount of world-class art galleries on famous Canyon Road, art & clothing boutiques, fine shopping, fine dining, an abundance of grocery stores & antique shops... the list is endless.
The Rail Runner train can take you on down to Albuquerque, even, to explore Olde Town!... So MUCH to do; so little time...

If you want to explore the ancient church with the famous 'healing dirt' the 200-year-old El Santuario de Chimayo' sits outside the old village of Chimayo'. This is one of my personal favorites in the area, with a blend of Catholic history & mysticism that moves my spirit to tears. This is known as the "Lourdes of the Southwest"; thousands pilgrimage here annually for the "tierra bendita" at Easter and at Christmas. Be sure to allow time to explore el santuario & its adjacent chapels & gift shop. Afterwards, I suggest you take in a meal at the Rancho de Chimayo' Restaurante, a local favorite, full of old Mexican atmosphere, great food, & both indoor & lush outdoor dining.

A trip to Taos is an hour, or so, further north, either along the "River Road" (paralleling the Rio Grande) or explore the "High Road", through tiny & creative ancient villages. One of them is Truchas (where "The Milagro Beanfield War" was filmed in the 1970s. Robert Redford directed this timeless movie. It became the village of Milagro - where miracles still do occur.) Other villages, with old Catholic churches, along the High Road are Cordova, Ojo Sarco, Las Trampas & Penasco - all creative centers - winding thru' the scenic Santa Fe Nat'l Forest into Rancho de Taos. Here you will find one of the most photographed churches in America: Santuario San Francisco de Asis.
Taos, itself, offers up its own Plaza, culture & artistic history, as well as the famous Taos Pueblo, where Tewa Indians still make drums. The Taos Pueblo is one of the oldest continually-habitated civilizations in the United States.
Just outside of Taos is found one of the highest bridges in the world: the Rio Grande Gorge River Bridge, where one can drive (or walk) over & hear the reverberate echoes off great ancient walls plunging down 800 ft. to the Rio Grande River - which looks tiny from this perspective. NOT for those afraid of heights or the faint of heart!

***The Abiquiu area is a magnet to history, creativity, culture & natural beauty. To artists, photographers, poets & writers, scientists & outdoor adventurers.
Please enjoy your outings, then return to our portal or patio & relax into a quiet night of brilliant stars.

Spectacular Ranch Overlooking the Chama River at the Heart of Abiquiu
House
Abiquiu, New Mexico, USA

This is a gorgeous house perched above the Chama river on 22 stunning acres in the heart of Abiquiu. Surrounded by flower & herb gardens, fruit trees, an old growth "bosque," and beautiful views, this is a magical spot for personal relaxation, family reunion, group gatherings and celebratory events!
The house marries old New Mexico charm, deep set windows, kiva fireplaces, antique and tribal furnishings, and original art work with modern comforts and conveniences throughout, including newly upgraded, high speed internet through Starlink.
The garden areas adjacent to the house include an outdoor fire pit, herb and flower gardens, a grape arbor and plum, apple, pear and peach trees. The property also features an old growth cottonwood grove, beautiful river and mountain views, and direct river access. The ranch is located near the entrance to Plaza Blanca (or, the White Place, as Georgia O'Keeffe called it, ) and sits immediately across the Chama river from Bode's and the Abiquiu Inn. It is a magical spot for personal retreat, local exploration, family gatherings, celebrations and workshops!
The main wing of the house includes three guest bedrooms, each with a private bathroom; a large living and dining room, a well stocked kitchen with an adjoining game area, a laundry/mud room and a screened sunroom with gorgeous views of the Chama river and the mountains that drew Georgia O'Keefe, among many others, to Abiquiu. (Upon request, the two king size beds in the main wing can be converted to 4 single beds.). A second wing of the house, off of the kitchen, includes two bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with two single beds; a large, shared bathroom with double sinks, a bathtub and walk in shower; and, a cozy TV room with pull out queen sofa bed and wood burning stove.
The house's deep walls, ceiling fans and cool Abiquiu nights make for lovely sleeping temperatures during summer months, and in the winter, radiant floor heat and several fire places keep the house warm and cozy.
We permit a dog, but only with advance approval. Any dog that comes onto the property must be experienced and safe with ranch animals, as well as with people it doesn't know.
The ranch makes for an extra special place for family gatherings and celebrations. Both are allowed on the ranch, however fees apply if gatherings will include more people than are part of the overnight guest party.
The ranch is an amazing place for weddings! It can accommodate weddings up to 135 people. Booking the ranch for a wedding can be done directly with us (wedding venue fees will apply).
Longer stays at the ranch, with reduced rates, are possible. Please enquire with us directly.
Other things to know:
- Rosy, our pony, and Paddy and Honey, two rescue horses, live in the barn along with Scully, a rescue cat. Our animals are friendly, however use of the barn and access to the animals is off limits to guests for safety reasons. The barn, outbuildings, corrals, and pasture areas are not included with the house rental.
- River Access: guests are welcome to visit and play in the river from the property, however all do so at their own risk. Currents can be strong and we cannot vouch for the safety of playing in the river.
- Wildlife: different kinds of animals (including coyotes), species of birds, reptiles (including rattle snakes) and insects live in abundance in this part of the world. There is exceptional natural beauty to be found here, both on the property and in nearby areas, but exploring the outdoor areas here is best suited for people who are comfortable with and love nature in all its manifestations.

Guest Reviews:

- "The house is beautiful. The owner is a delight to work with. The bedrooms are all comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and easy to work in. My only wish is that the kitchen supplies were more consistent. I’ve stayed there twice: the first time we had everything we needed but the second time there were fewer staples (e.g. pepper.) That’s a minot negative though given the beauty of the property and location." - "My husband and I had a backyard wedding ceremony here with a few of our closest family members. It is a beautiful home with breathtaking views. Brooks is a kind and responsive host. We are looking forward to our next stay at the ranch."

Dual Master Bedroom: Designer Accommodations for the Long-Sta
House
Youngsville, New Mexico, USA

Evidenced by the photography, narratives and passion of companion properties listed on this site- and seared into the American imagination by the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe- the Piedra Lumbre basin captivates; a thin place. From the edge of a mesa, Casita á Medida surveys it all: red cliffs forming Abiquiu Lake to the East, Ghost Ranch expanding to the North, Chama River Valley to the West and El Pedernal dominating the horizon to the South. Filling between are the ranges of Sangre de Cristo and the Jemez, Santa Fe National Forest and Kit Carson National Forest. And dark sky nights.

To experience this area takes time, a lifetime pursuit of many. Days of hiking, fishing, boating, rafting, discovering petroglyphs, searching for fossils/ historic remnants; trips to Santa Fe, Taos, Ojo Caliente, Navajo Lake, Heron Lake, Chama, Pagosa Springs, Silverton and Durango, CO. Casita á Medida is designed with the long stay in mind. Built in the spirit of Northern New Mexico with deep deference to the surrounding landscape, Casita á Medida is a compound style retreat with one building housing dual master suites and another the great room, forming a protected patio third living space. The vast windows frame the art listed above (follow the changing forms of El Pedernal while preparing dinner; overlook the serenity of Ghost Ranch as you relax in the soaking tub). Inside melts to out. Designed to be completely off-grid, the site also features sustainable design such as passive solar mass, solar heat-boost for the domestic hot water and radiant floor heat, as well as gray watering, rain catchment and Holzer spirited permaculture supporting landscaping designed to further the circle.

With dual master suites (featuring a King and Queen or Queen and two twins) and a separated great room/kitchen structure, Casita á Medida can be modified to meet the needs for your stay. Allow yourself the time to be able to appreciate the experience. Allow yourself permission that the enjoyment - and biggest achievement- was that the day was.

You can't help but sense the vast scope and close centering of the land that inspired Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings. The Studios are located in a secondary building on an 8 acre property. The history and beauty of the land is powerful. Enjoy immersing yourself in your surroundings, taking in the night skies and fresh air, hiking from your door, visiting the lake and surrounding areas, and recharging your spirit.

La Luna is located in a private secondary building about 200 feet away from a house. It is fully equipped with:
private sliding glass door entrance,
luxurious linens,
air conditioning and heat,
a wonderful queen bed,
private bathroom,
over-sized shower,
mini fridge,
microwave,
toaster oven,
Keurig Coffee Maker and drip coffee maker,
And spectacular views from every angle!
The studio is small and comfortable, about 150 square feet.

Located about 20 feet north of neighboring El Sol Studio, The Studios are a perfect pairing for travelling friends. The studios enjoy shared outside common areas including a flagstone patio, a charcoal BBQ grill, picnic table, outdoor seating, and free parking. All areas have views galore!

The Studios are perfect additional rooms for nearby vacation home rentals. They are also great lodging options for solo travelers, couples, outdoor artists or those taking workshops at Ghost Ranch. If you don't need a lot of space or a kitchen, The Studios may be a great option for you. There are two studios in the building so you may have a neighbor or friend on the other side of the building.

As small economy guest rooms, the The Studios do not have WiFi or televisions (although your cell phone should work fine at the location and you can use your cell as a hot spot). This is a great place to unplug and rejuvenate!

Bring all your food and drink provisions with you. Bring prepared foods or plan to prepare simple meals in the microwave, toaster oven or outside on the charcoal BBQ. While two plates and cups are provided, you will want to bring any dishes that you want to cook with. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill.

The studios are located outside the village of Abiquiu in a gated community on Abiquiu Lake. It is about a 25 minute drive to Abiquiu. There is a wonderful history in this area - from dinosaurs, to Native American pueblos, to Spanish explorers, to cattle rustlers, to ghosts and witches, to Georgia O'Keeffe - all the way to our current age where the past history and culture blends with the multi-cultral artist colony that Abiquiu has become.

The room is conveniently located near Ghost Ranch, Echo Amphitheater, Monastery of Christ in the Desert, Plaza Blanca, Pedernal, and the Carson National Forest. You will also want to explore the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm, Bandelier National Monument, the nearby Cumbres Toltec Train, rafting the Chama River, the Ra Paulette Cave Tour, and Ojo Caliente.

You will need a car. During winter months, we recommend a 4WD or AWD as many of the roads in New Mexico are dirt/gravel. The roads back to the studios are dirt/gravel.

You may want to consider purchasing trip insurance in case your travel plans change or if you have concerns about traveling. Although we understand situations arise making cancellations unavoidable, we do not take responsibility for changes to your reservation due to delayed arrivals, early departures, inclement weather, unforeseen changes to travel plans, medical or family emergencies, work conflicts, missed or cancelled flights, pandemics, force majeure, etc. Travel insurance is used to protect your trip in the event of cancellation, or you can self-insure by taking on the risk yourself. Please note that as a small business owner, we cannot act as your travel insurance.

We provide directions and a code for the door so you can arrive anytime after the scheduled check-in time for easy self-checking, without needing to coordinate with us.

After booking, a Renter's Agreement will be emailed to you detailing rules of the property.

- "I had trouble locating the unit. A bit remote; had to travel a few miles on a gravel road. GPS info in listing is not accurate - GPS does not work well at the location. When I arrived, 1/2 of unit had no power. Called Tania, she came immediately and flipped the breaker switch back on. However, after my arrival, ABSOLUTELY no problems. Enjoyed the views, the peace and quiet, rainbows after showers on far side of lake. Pet friendly. I would recommend this unit to anyone who may be traveling in the area."

The space
The Studio is enclosed by a stone wall and that area is private. There’s a front area with a bench, table and chairs. The side yard has a shade structure facing lovely views including Pedernal. There is another bench here and a matching chair. All for studio guests only. In addition, the Studio shares the 10-acre property with the main house Casa Tocaya and the Guesthouse, La Biblioteca. The land is unfenced and wild and stretches to a small arroyo. You can wander the land and local roads also make for lovely walks!

We ask that guests stay reasonably quiet when outside in the evening.

Guest Reviews:

- "I liked this property for attention to detail. This property is well equipped as a studio. " - "This adobe sits amid the most beautiful vistas in Abiquiu area. The artistic intent is evident in the charming adobe, from the hewn wood beams and trim, rock walls and walkway, stone shower, and SW decor. I was looking for solitude and found it here. Very close to O’Keefe museum, Plaza Blanca and Ghost Ranch. On clear nights, the constellations were too many to count as the Milky Way arched over the casita. Perfect for a getaway for 1-2 people. The host was very responsive to questions."
