Beautiful, well-maintained, historic adobe home originally built in 1880. The house is in a quiet established neighborhood, and on the NM Historic Registry. It is located within walking distance of the Old Town Plaza with an array of retail and dining options. The renovated home has all the modern amenities, and cultural historic charm you'd expect.
Amenities include: Radiant floor heating, bedroom upstairs has a full-size bed, and a full bath, plus a loft, and a second bedroom downstairs with a queen-sized bed and an additional full bath, living room and kitchen. There is a large portico on the east side of the house with table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or tea. The house has a private drive entrance for guest parking.
Holiday rates apply. (I.E. Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, 4th of July etc.) A 3 night minimum stay is required.
The kitchen is fully equipped. (Dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, tea kettle, stocked coffee and tea)

Relax at this centrally-located studio (in my rental home) w your own bath in historic Las Vegas, New Mexico. Back in the late 1800s, this was THE biggest city in the territory. Who passed through here? Only Billy the Kid, Doc Holiday, and Theodore Roosevelt, to name a few.

You've stayed in Santa Fe; now make Las Vegas--one hour east--a stop in your explorations of the Southwest. From here, meander through the beautiful countryside of northern-central New Mexico and on into southern Colorado.

You’ll have your own separate studio with a queen bed, new lounge chair, a velvet love seat, TV with cable, a pellet stove, books galore, a small desk and chair, a kitchenette with a new toaster oven and electric kettle & French press, and windows, windows, windows!

Shared spaces include the front door and hallway to your studio. My full kitchen is available to you, as well as a washer & dryer.
The den I hang out in is at the opposite end of the house from the studio so we all have a good amount of privacy. Welcome!

Speaking of Shorty, he is nearly incorrigible when it comes to jumping up on people out of exuberant friendliness. I encourage my guests to use one of the spray bottles to remind him to jumping on people is bad manners. Shorty and I do not take this personally, so please don’t be shy about helping him mind.
Oh, and there's a pet turkey next door and yes, he is quite vocal. You might hear the ducks too!
Just to be clear: The entry into the studio is separated from the rest of the house by a door that you can lock; however, even if you leave it unlocked, I don’t go in —ever—unless invited or in case of emergency. The only exception would be if I have good reason to believe drugs or alcohol are on the premises.

Billy the Kid was a short-term guest of the place which was the sheriff's jail at the end of the 19th century.

Bedroom one has a double bed and daybed, bedroom two has one single beds, and living room has a futon, tv, lounger, and games. Kitchen is stocked for cooking and comes with basic staples like coffee, tea, sugar, cream, butter. No children under 12 years old because 3 stories high.

The entire upstairs apartment is for guest use and is private. There is a shaded deck for smoking. Please park on street. Lockbox is at bottom of stairs. Space is on third floor. Wifi network is Rio Pecos, password: gonzo9773. Please lock up and turn everything off at checkout.

Other things to note
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am. Please no parties, as this is a residential neighborhood and I live downstairs. We are priced very low because of being on the third floor in a 110 year old building. Very clean and affordable, but if you are looking for a new building, or don't want to climb stairs, then this is not the right place for you.

Meadowlark Manor Guest House is a spacious 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom double-wide mobile home, with 2 separate deck areas (covered and uncovered), both offering splendid views of the Sangre De Christo mountains, and the surrounding farmland.

WIFI: Excellent fast wifi makes working away from home easy.

SUPER COMFY BEDS: The Master Bedroom (The 'Green Room') has a Queen size Nectar brand memory foam mattress, and the Orange Room has a Queen size Serta brand memory foam mattress. Both are super comfy. The Blue Room double bed has a comfy memory foam / inner spring hybrid mattress. All our sheets and pillow cases are pure cotton, and we use unperfumed eco laundry liquid for our scent-sensitive guests.

KITCHEN: Features a full kitchen and laundry, with quality eco cleaning products and laundry liquid, dishwasher, lovely dinner ware and glassware, and a kid's dinner set for families.

ECO PRODUCTS: We supply eco cleaning products for the kitchen and laundry, as well as quality, cruelty free eco shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

LIVING ROOM: The living room has a comfy queen size sofa bed for extra guests, and a twin size day bed. A Foosball table, and wide selection of books and games encourages relaxation and downtime. Our 50 inch Roku TV is perfect for watching Netflix and other streaming services which we supply.

GARAGE: An attached garage makes parking easy

ENTRANCE RAMP: Our entrance ramp makes this a perfect getaway for mobility impaired guests.

TRAVELING WITH KIDS: We have some toys and games for little kids, as well as a travel crib, changing mat, and high chair. There is a bath in the 2nd bathroom.

OUR MEDITATION CIRCLE: You are welcome to relax and unwind, and simply be one with Nature in our Meditation Circle. The path that starts right in front of the guest house and curves towards the mountains will lead you to it. (Please be respectful of this sacred circle. No alcohol, smoking etc. It's a place to journal, meditate, read, unwind. You can sit on the stone seat in the centre).

PRIVACY: Our main house (Meadowlark Manor) is adjacent to the guest house, so we're close by to help you with any needs, but you still have complete privacy.

WELL WATER
We are on filtered well water, which is perfectly safe for showering, dishes etc. We provide plenty of reverse-osmosis filtered water for drinking and cooking.

You are welcome to walk the pathways and discover some of the secret groves. You'll find a path which starts in front of the guest home.

The home's large parlors are perfect for our guests to be comfortable, for short or extended stays.

There is a temporary half-bathroom in the basement connected to one of the bedroom's. Tub is out of service.

The home is still being worked on.
We are carefully restoring it by staying true to the home while giving it a little modern touch.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit to one of the most important towns on the Santa Fe Trail. This newly renovated home overlooks the Historic Las Vegas Plaza. There are 2 large bedrooms and 2 full baths. (There is also a full sofa bed in the living room.) A large modern kitchen, formal dinning room and a beautiful patio. Large open living space with large windows which look out over the Plaza. This property is on the second floor, there is no elevator.

The Building is Blue, it is very seriously painted blue and easy to find. The property is on the second floor. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. There are many great hikes and day trips into beautiful Northern New Mexico.

The entire property is open (except a locked closet in the master bedroom, there are 2 closets so you’ll still have one large closet and a plenty of drawers.)
There is a large well equipped kitchen, dining room, a really great patio and lots of room.

The property was built in 1900. It was completely renovated with radiant heat, new plumbing and electric service. Great lighting and a huge TV.
