The Casita is attached to our home but separated by the two car garage. It is a southwestern style ranch surrounded by alfalfa fields and very large old growth cottonwood trees. The Casita is inside the gated main courtyard wall, which provides security and serenity. There are no neighbors close to the ranch, we are offset from the end of the road cul de sac by nearly 1/4 mile. The pool is located in the backyard of the main house and is suitable for use from Memorial day through Labor day. The wildflower gardens enhance the sights and smells of Western Colorado as well as providing ample food for butterflies, honey bees and Humming birds. Several runs of grape vines line the pasture fence at the back of the property. There are many ways to enjoy walks and bike rides along the Highline canal and local roads as traffic is minimal in our area. Wildlife viewing is readily available, mule deer, coyotes and birds including a family of red tail hawks call Bookcliff Ranch home. On special occassions Golden eagles and Bald Eagles are seen.
The Casita is best suited for 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults, 2 of which could share a bed. Additional guests will be charged a one time fee of $35.00.

We had also brought our two dogs, so we had a blast visiting the dog friendly bars & restaurants and taking late night walks...we felt totally safe. As for the house itself...absolutely beautiful! Seriously, we really enjoyed the house, to the point that we were wishing that we had purchased the house when it last sold...shortly after we moved to Colorado. The grounds are so well maintained, from the well-manicured lawn to the amazing flowers. My fiancee was going crazy over the roses and wanted to make snow angels in the lawn, despite there not being any snow. The house is jaw dropping inside as well, including both the original and remodeled portions of the house. We couldn't have asked for anything more during our stay here. Our dogs were more than happy too, with the fenced yard for them stretch their legs in. The hosts were also fantastic, having provided us with a gift basket and pertinent information regarding the house, including the history of the house. They also provided information on local shopping, points of interest, emergency contacts, and an offer to assist us in securing anything else that we might've needed. Thank you!!"

Beautiful house in downtown Fruita on quiet street. Just 2 blocks to downtown. Newly remodeled with everything you'll need for your stay. Air conditioning, ceiling fans, 2 queen size beds, ice maker, large laundry room, parking onsite, locking shed for gear, and great screened in gazebo. Come see what Fruita has to offer.

- "This is a well appointed adorable home in a great location. We had our sweet senior dog with us and it was perfectly set up for dogs, except if you have puppies or runners be aware that there is no fence. It worked fine for us. Haha our dog doesn’t move that fast! But an added bonus is that there’s a middle school across the street with a huge grassy, shaded lawn. Definitely recommend." - "1 floor house, open layout, with side driveway that makes loading and unloading easy. Unit is blocks away from downtown to restaurants, coffee, OTE and CBB bike shops, and local brewery. Great stay for 2 people and dog since only 1 bath. Backyard is nice with grass, grill, and screened in table. One of my best stays in Fruita!"
