This cozy house is clean, rustic, and has everything you need in a home away from home. It’s located on our ranch, Big Run Ranches. It has beautiful views of the Uintah Mountains, only 14 miles to the mouth of the canyon, 30 minutes to Vernal, 20 minutes to Roosevelt or 40 minutes to Dinosaur National Monument. Love fishing? Starvation Reservoir is 50 min away, Flaming Gorge is about 77 miles away, the Uintah River is 20 min away, and Strawberry Reservoir is 1 hour and 20 min.
This is a wonderful getaway to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet near the mountains. The mouth of Uintah Canyon is 20 min away. There are many trails to hike (sheep bridge is a 8 mile round trip hike) and go picnic.
There many be cows calving, water turns, goats, haying, and many other farm animals (depending on the time of year). There is also a lot of wildlife around including deer and elk. The property also has a grill/smoker for you to enjoy. (Bring your own briquettes) The property is on a quiet road with very few neighbors. Enjoy a walk down the road or sit on the back porch and enjoy the fresh air.

Sleeping arrangements are 3 bedrooms: #1 - 1 king bed #2 1queen size bed #3- 1 bunk bed, a twin bed and queen bed. There is two large living rooms, 2 bath (one with a bathtub and one with a shower), and a small kitchen with dining room table. There is WIFI on the property with a smart TV with Netflix and Disney + Subscriptions.

This is the perfect property to stay in when you are coming to the Uintah Basin to hunt or fish. If you bring a horse there is panels set up to keep them in. Enjoy the great outdoor but come back to this cozy home.

Our guest love the location. It is in a remote location down a country road. The house doesn’t have air conditioning but if you open windows at night in the summer you’ll feel the cool north wind then close everything in the morning and the house stays nice. There are fans in the house. In the fall you will hear elk bugling and the river flowing. Depending on the time of year there can be a lot of wildlife around. We’ve seen moose, elk, deer, bear, and lots of small animals.

Newly updated with new queen mattress (not an airmattress) in second bedroom and new twin bed in children's bedroom. New AC mini-split units upstairs and a back deck, this home is located within one block of the county library, county building, and 4 restaurants. It is also located within walking distance of the Utah State Field House/ Dinsoaur Museum and a green park area that is perfect for pet owners. It is within driving distance of the Dinosaur Quarry and Red Fleet and Steinaker state reserviors. There are also 2 rafting companies within a 1 mile radius for rafting trips on the Green River. We do our best to follow current COVID cleaning guidelines for the home and the business. There is ample street parking for vehicles towing trailers (such as UTVs) and additional parking under a carport. The home also has one bedroom set up for families with small children to stay along with two other regular bedrooms and a fenced backyard and play area.

Our home is spacious and clean with decorated rooms to fit every style. It is comfortably furnished, and inviting! Our home has 2 large gathering spaces to accommodate our guests, 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full-size kitchen with dining area, fridge, sink, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a deck with views of surrounding Mountains, access to a laundry room with washer and dryer, High speed internet, flat screen television with Roku, and plenty of parking space.
Expect to find a supply of linens and toiletries in the bathrooms, and a basic supply of items in the kitchen cupboards.
There is an on demand hot water heater, a furnace to heat in the winter and central air conditioning to keep the space cool in the summer.

Kitchen was well appointed, there is a sitting room as well as a living room with TV, which was nice for those who wanted to watch tv and those who just wanted to chat. The master was spacious with a king bed and en suite bathroom with a soaking tub! The other bedrooms shared one bathroom, which worked fine for us. There’s a deck off the back door and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. The area is quiet with a gas station/convenience store as you turn off the highway. There are others staying/living below, but that was not a bother to us at all. I thought the property only had 3 bedrooms but was pleasantly surprised to find four bedrooms upon arrival. We came in the spring a needed bug spray in the morning and at dusk, lots of mosquitoes so be aware of that. I would stay here again!"

The third bedroom features tributes to dinosaur country hyper-unique to the Uintah Basin. The den downstairs themes to the rustic rich history of the area that was fueled by the remains of dinosaur and fauna long ago.

Additionally, the main living room sports a delicate arch art wall that is iconic to Utah and the love for the great outdoors.

Two updated bathrooms are located near the bedrooms, both with updated facilities and a broad modern shower head that doubles as a mirror. Linens and shower essentials are provided.

Our RV and 15 passenger van had no problem parking in the open/expansive driveway areas - and the gazebo overlooking the valley and trail up to rockside with petroglyphs was a memory we will not soon forget! The hosts were so helpful with suggestions for the family (we wish we could have stayed here the whole week!) I do not think we realized that the lower level was still in renovation, and the spiral staircase to that level required our creativity to move a cocktail table and block off our almost 2yr old grandson. The eat-in kitchen fit all of us for dining and card games. My husband appreciated the big TV for catching an Orioles game at the end of a busy day! - We would HIGHLY recommend this home for those considering a Vernal visit - and suggest staying at least for an extended weekend or weeklong visit to be sure to enjoy it even more thoroughly!
