- "I am always a bit apprehensive "buying" from photos and owner descriptions however this property is everything claimed plus a little bigger than it looks. The home is very comfortable and everything needed for your stay, just short of food, is supplied with the casita. The owners are on site and while they were invisible 99% of the time, they were very nice folks and very accommodating. The homeowner has chickens and lemon trees and offers the fruit of each to renters. Previous visits to the Scottsdale area have always been great but we were very pleasantly surprised by the Cave Creek area where the casita is located. All the stores, shops, cantinas, hiking and what have you are located nearby and easily accessed with a vehicle. There is some truly great golf and fine dining in the area as well . If the weather (somehow) won't let you out of the house, the casita has good WIFI and full cable TV access not to mention a very nice BBQ grill and fire table. I confidently recommend this property as a terrific vacation spot."

The foosball table, fire pit, bbq, large tub and Japanese toilette were all great amenities. And we appreciated having the washer and dryer so we didn’t have to pack a weeks worth of clothes. This is the ultimate location for relaxation - very quiet neighborhood but close to wonderful golf courses and some really great restaurants. Morghan was really detail oriented and prompt with her messages, which was very appreciated. Sadly we weren’t able to enjoy the pool on this trip due to the heat pump not working, but we hope to return and enjoy it in the future."

The host indicated that IF the propane tank was empty we could refill it and be reimbursed, which implies she knew perfectly well it was empty. So there we were with food in hand ready to grill dinner before we knew it was empty, like we wanted to stop then and go get it filled. Seriously? FYI, The property backs up to Tatum, so we could hear the traffic."

Please let us know if you have pets as dogs only (3 max) are welcome to stay here. There is a per pet fee of $10 per day (plus tax). We do require that you have a place to keep your pet (i.e. dog crate, pet carrier, etc.) while you may be away from the house. We also need to know a few things about your pet (color, breed, weight, and age). Please let us know these details at booking time so that we are able to inform the community of your pet. Please note that guests are still responsible for picking up after their pet. Additional cleaning fees may be charged for pet messes left behind.

*We do our best to ensure guests have a 5 star experience. Guests will be provided with a start up supply of household items such as laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc so that upon check in you do not need to run to the store. If you have a longer stay planned you may need to purchase some of these items.

When booking, please let us know how many guests will be in your group as well as how many vehicles you will have on-site, as well as the nature of your visit. With that info we can make sure the home is ready for your group and that you have all the necessary supplies, linens, etc. WE are happy to answer any questions you may have.

If your trip is more adventure focused, the home is located near the Red Rock Mountain. Saguaro Lake is not far away as well. This home is also located an easy drive to Major League Baseball spring training stadiums, the Barrett Jackson auto show, the Arabian Horse Show, the Fiesta Bowl and all the other great area events.

If you are going to be travelling around the Southwest after your time in Phoenix, you can feel free to leave bigger bags here and use this as your base. San Diego, LA, Las Vegas, and the beaches of Mexico are all about 5 hours away. The Grand Canyon, Sedona, White Mountains, and AZ`s wine country are 2-4 hours. Take your carry-on and leave the big stuff while you explore. We have been to almost every corner of the state, so if you want to know the hidden treasures, we would be happy to tell you our favorite places to visit.

Please note, because Phoenix is so spread out, we advise having a vehicle if you stay with us. Public transportation is not far away from our home, but it takes a while to get to most parts of the city from our home. With a car, we are convenient to most parts of the Valley, including downtown Phoenix (sports, restaurants, and arts), Tempe (shopping, restaurants, nightlife), Glendale (sports and shopping) and Scottsdale (shopping, arts, sports, nightlife).

*Noise ordinance set in place 10pm-8am. Subject to additional fees if not followed.
*Thermostats may have temperature limit locks (i.e. 72 deg.) to prevent being set at temperatures that may cause catastrophic damage in high heats or to help control out of the ordinary utility costs throughout the year.
*Property vendors (pool, landscape, pest control, etc.) may access the grounds up to once/week and have access to the back yard.

The room has a small table for your laptop and we always do our best to accommodate your needs.

The space
Upgraded Studio Apartment with a full kitchen and upgraded bathroom. The bed is a luxurious memory foam mattress.
An additional queen-size pullout couch is available to comfortably sleep up to 4 adults (linens for the second bed are provided upon request). Guests that would like the second bed set up at an extra $10 for the entire stay (not a per night charge). This charge is to cover the extra setup and washing of the linens.
The patio area of the studio has two comfortable Adirondack chairs, and it also has a fenced yard (great for pets). The hosts are very friendly and will provide any assistance possible.
Pets are welcome with prior authorization from the hosts, but keep in mind that they should be supervised anytime they are outdoors as there are coyotes, snakes, owls, hawks, and a large variety of other wildlife in the area that can potentially harm them if not supervised.
In addition, we ask that guests clean up after their pets.

Guest access
Guests and their pets have access to a gated, private yard with a relaxing covered patio. The patio has two comfortable Adirondack chairs.
Guests may not approach the horses without one of the hosts accompanying them.

Other things to note
Late arriving guests, we will have plenty of light when they arrive thanks to the security light.
If you would like to use the second bed (queen-size pullout couch), we charge a $10 fee for the entire stay to cover the additional linens.
Pets are allowed, but we as that they stay off the furniture.
Guests must pick up after their pets, please keep the yard area clean for the next guests after you.

The space
The Casita has 1 king bed, 1 full bathroom, living area with a Sofa love seat, dedicated work desk and chair, walk in closet with a tall dresser for additional clothing storage, and "Hotel-like-amenities" kitchenette, including a microwave, Keurig coffee maker that can also serve hot water for tea, and a mini fridge & freezer (with ice trays). We also provide coffee mugs, and pool-patio-safe water and wine glasses. Given we don't have a kitchen sink to wash food scraps down, we have also added disposable paper plates, plastic utensils and paper bowls.

The casita has a dedicated mesh WIFI router, a wall mounted and moveable 55" Roku Smart TV with Netflix, Disney + and other streaming channels for you to log into. Mini split AC and heater, ceiling fan plus a portable fan. Open the french doors to enjoy the covered patio with your own lounge chairs, fire table (which can be used as a dining table with the lid on) and the beautiful play pool (with basketball hoop) & waterfall!

KITCHENETTE:

While the kitchenette emulates a hotel, we stock it with 3 types of Keurig coffee, tea, half & half creamers, regular sugar, Sweet n low and Truvia / stevia sweetener and stir sticks. We also provide salt & pepper, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, a bottle and wine opener, paper plates, paper bowls, plastic utensils and paper towels.

Guest access
The Casita is detached from our main living area of our house and only shares walls with our garage, laundry room and storage room. You may occasionally hear our large garage door open or close, but we try to never use it during the morning hours or late at night. You may also hear our laundry room going from time to time, but again, we respect your sleeping hours! The entry french doors have blinds that are adjustable and there is a skylight for more natural light since the casita has no windows.

Your patio and pool are private to you during your stay! We have our own separate private patio and yard. You have 2 lounge chairs, 2 patio chairs and a fire pit table / small cafe table on the patio.

Other things to note
Parking for the Casita is behind our main garage. When you pull down the driveway, you will drive left of our double garage door until you reach the gate that accesses the backyard. There is enough room for multiple cars. Once you enter the gate, the Casita is to the right after you walk by the pool. Please watch your step on the narrow walk way by the pool! Your smart lock door code will be sent to you prior to check in.
