This is East Villa’s left side studio. With a simple and contemporary design, the studio has its own bathroom, full kitchen, queen-sized bed, twin futon and spacious 24 x 10 balcony. The studio has custom handmade wooden furniture, 15 ft sloped ceilings and lots of natural ventilation. You can enjoy panoramic views from the balcony or while strolling around the property. Located on a private 6 acre property with a breathtaking 180-degree view of the ocean. The East Villa was the first one built on the property. It overlooks Ensenada Honda (east view) and the whole of Vieques island (south view) and Puerto Rico (west view). Divided into Starboard (right side studio) and Port (left side studio), this villa has a shared deck area to enjoy the wonderful view.

You will be staying walking distance from town and Melones Beach (great snorkeling!). We highly recommend renting a vehicle to get around the island. However, you can do without one. The house is a short walk from town were you can take a taxi to most beaches.

The bedrooms were excellent and the windows shutters allow you to sleep late. The deck is super convenient. We had a Water Taxi (H2O) pick us up at the deck to go to Culebrita. Lastly, we want to thank the Owners for allowing us to stay and we want to thank Edwin for meeting us at the airport and taking care of us the whole stay at Villa Tampico. He was super helpful. This fully renovated luxury home with an amazing pool, is located on the eastern end of the island just a mile from Zoni Beach. The beautiful great room has retractable doors that open to the patio, making one large space to eat, relax and play. There is a flat-screen smart TV in the great room. Each of the bedrooms have private bathrooms and the master bedroom also has an outdoor shower, both are air-conditioned. The kitchen has all new appliances and the pantry has a washer and dryer.The patio has a gas grill. The pool overlooks a farm with horses. Also on the property is a large gazebo with spectacular water views, perfect for cocktails or yoga.
The community has a dock about 1 mile from the house. A kayak is available at the dock.
There are also beach chairs, towels and a cooler for your enjoyment.

- "The house was perfect! Perfect tropical house that was situated just right on a large hill to optimize the breeze through both sides of the house. Both sides of the common living areas have large folding door walls, opposite one another, that when open, allow for a lovely open air environment. There are air conditioners in both bedrooms as well as in the common area. We only used the master bedroom air condition while sleeping which worked great. There are overhead fans in all rooms which is very nice to increase air circulation. Thus in March, we had no need to turn the air on in the common area especially with the door walls open and overhead fans on. The floor tiles through out the house (and around pool) were great in that they absorbed any water tracked in from the pool (and textured so no slipping). Pool was a big hit. It was clean and beautifully landscaped around it. The house had everything we needed: dishwasher, clothes washer & dryer, gas stove, oven, microwave, full refrigerator & also a wine refrigerator. Property and house are very clean and in great shape. You can tell someone put a lot of thought into the flow of the house, including the outside sitting areas & pool. The kitchen is large and lots of counter space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all sorts of cooking and baking house-wares. The bathrooms and showers are as nice as rest of the house. Good water flow from the showers, sinks, and toilets. I mention this because it is amazing how good the utilities worked considering you are on a rather small remote island with limited resources. On this note, it was amazing to see they had a great set up for electrical generator (all or partially solar-powered I presume) utilitizing Tesla batteries. The generator did come on a couple times automatically the night before we left. Not sure why, but it was obviously very convenient and worked well. Very impressive. The beds were very comfortable. Linens (including bath and beach towels) were comfy and clean. There are room darkening shades on all the bedroom windows, which also helps keep the heat out when the sun in shining in. The house was located above a working farm. They had cows, chickens, and horses. We did visit the cows and horses a couple times. The owners left us fresh vegetables, eggs, cheese, milk and jelly upon our arrival that was very thoughtful & yummy! We would definitely rent this property again- it was just perfect!"

This furnished oceanfront house is located on a 1 acre property that extends over the protected natural reserve beach of Punta Melones, one of the best beaches for snorkeling in Culebra island. You can experience spectacular sunsets from the 75' infinity pool which overlooks Vieques island, Cayo Luis Peña, the mountains of Puerto Rico and the entrance to the island.

It has 4 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, laundry, AC in all rooms and living areas, 2 fully equipped kitchens, a large pantry and big balconies and terraces. All rooms have ocean view. The house is approximately 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and very close to town and restaurants.

This is a two (2) level home with two separate gazebos:

First floor (entrance) is a fully equipped kitchen, with two 33-bottle wine coolers, large pantry with double oven and 1 full bathroom; all spaces with A/C. Dining room that seats 10 people, adjacent to the living room with SAT/Dish and DVD player. Complete with a large balcony overlooking the ocean with 1 table, a bar stool table, a lounge chair, large sofa and a gas barbecue.

Downstairs are 4 bedrooms (all with A/C), including 2 master suites: 1st master suite with a king size bed, TV, a private bathroom and a chaise lounge; 2nd master bedroom with a king size bed, mini fridge and microwave, a private bathroom and TV. The third bedroom has 2 bunk beds (both with full size beds and single beds on top, sleeps 6), TV and a private bathroom. The fourth bedroom or Studio has a queen size bed, a private bathroom, 2 sofas, a TV and a fully equipped kitchen.

Also, the laundry facilities are on the first level, a half bathroom in the pool area and outside shower. Every room, terrace, balcony and the infinity pool is overlooking the ocean. Every room has its private entrance.

This four bedrooms home consists of three separate buildings, connected by amazing archways and extensive tropically landscaped patios. The master bedroom is located on the main level with direct view of the ocean and pool, and has a king size bed, along with a large private bath. The studio apartment is situated on the main level as well, but is separated from the master bedroom in order to offer more privacy. The two dwellings are nevertheless connected by a protected arched hallway.
This " casita" studio has a full bathroom, kitchnette, and queen size bed. A coach in the living area of the studio can also be converted into a bed.
The kitchen and living room are also on the main floor, facing the common plaza, the loan, the pool and the magnificent Manglar Bay down below.
The 2 other bedrooms are located under the main kitchen/living room area and are connected to the rest of the house by a covered stairway,close to the entrance of the upper bedrooms, making it easy for parents and children to be connected if necessary. But it is also designed to offer privacy if the guests choose so. One of the bedroom has a queen size bed, the other a double bed. They share a full bathroom located between the 2 rooms.
There is also an outdoor bathroom at the pool level .

We provide an "airbnb"type of service.
Since we don't provide dayly house keeping, please read attentively the details under LINEN and TOWELS in the AMENITIES column. Please preserve those items in a way in which they are reusable during your stay. You can hang wet towel and cloth on the OUTDOOR CLOTH LINE located next to the master room.They will quickly dry and be refreshed by the natural breeze and sun.

Our home is situated high on the hillside above Punta Melones Beach and Luis Pena Island, overlooking the bay to the east and the ocean to the south and west. The location of the house affords you the cooling breezes of the Caribbean and the views from sunrise to sunset.
As this is our family’s second home we have taken special care to make it very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The open floor plan of the inside as well as outside living spaces allows for true relaxation. As we are both designers we have brought to the house wonderful original artwork and the quality of the furnishings is uncompromised.
Every room has a ceiling fan so you can sleep to the sound of the sea and awaken to the song of the birds. However, if you feel the need all the bedrooms are air conditioned for added comfort.

KITCHEN:
The kitchen is a custom chef’s kitchen with top of the line appliances. The propane stove has two ovens one small and one large for different cooking needs. Above the stove their is a microwave/exhaust fan. The large capacity side by side refrigerator/freezer holds enough to keep the family happy and is complemented with a water dispenser and an icemaker. There is an abundance of cabinetry that houses everything that is needed. The cherry wood and the tiled counters create a professional look that is only outshined by the beautiful Le Creuset and Revere cookware and the unbreakable Cabo dishes and glassware are all easy to wash in the stainless dish washer. In addition to all the utensils required to prepare food there is a newly filled spice rack and generally the basics such as olive oil, etc. Our grandson, Oscar Waldman painted the scene of Cayo Norte when he visited at Christmas.
Off the kitchen is the laundry area and broom closet. The washer / dryer is for your use and is capable of small loads.

FAMILY LIVING AREA:
The seating area is very relaxed with a Seagrass sofa brimming with throw pillows. Four chairs, two Ceylon teak armchairs and two rattan lounge chairs, add to the conversation or TV watching depending on your wishes. If you need more seating there are two Sanibel benches in the entry hall that can be multi purposed. There are unique compass and rope spool side tables and plenty of interesting lighting. The still life oil painting of flowers by Elizabeth Congdon is a striking contrast to the subtle colors of the upholstery. The TV has surround sound, a DVD player and with the Starlink service the channels are endless. The French door unit adds light and cross ventilation making for a wonderfully cool place in the shade.

DINING AREA:
The large rustic pine harvest table is surrounded by blue and tan bistro chairs and there are two added counter stools so that you can keep the cook company or seat the kids there to dine. On the wall is a wonderful painting of pears by Katie Trinkle-Legg. The two French door units add so much cooling breeze that you may find it necessary to close them at mealtime.

MASTER SUITE:
King size West Indies canopy bed carved to look like bamboo, with two Barbados bachelor chests, is the focal point of the room. The two wharf scene oil paintings by David Lazarus and the San Juan’s Butterfly People art box create a wonderful room to wake up in. The view out one side is the garden and the other is the ocean.
There is a large closet area as you enter the room.
The bathroom is fully tiled with a double sink vanity with doors and drawers for storage. The walk in shower is complete with a soap and shampoo shelf, a tiled bench and window with the ocean view.

GUEST SUITE:
King size Havana mahogany four-poster bed has intricate turned legs and two Islandia bachelor chests on either side. The dark framed floral oil paintings and the dhories opposite the bed complement the view out the window to the ocean.
There is a closet in the room.
The bathroom is tiled and the vanity has drawers and a door to hold all your needs. The window looks out to the ocean. The walk in shower has a shampoo and soap shelf.

BUNK ROOM:
Two sets of naturally finished maple bunk beds, with clip on lights for after dark reading. There is a closet and two whicker bureaus. The large windows gain a view to the garden. The animal prints on the walls are a bit of folly.

BATHROOM ACROSS THE HALL:
Tile and glass door make the shower in this bathroom unique. The vanity has drawers and a door and the top is tiled. There’s even an ocean view across the hall painted by Loretta Loder.

LANAI DINING AREA:
The Ceylon whitewashed table and chairs are arranged for the view and the breeze to the east and south. The chairs are cushioned for comfort. Seating for 6.
There is a Weber stainless steel propane grill and the tools to BBQ.

LANAI SEATING AREA:
This is my favorite spot to sit in the morning and have my coffee and watch the birds and the boats below. Or a quiet spot or read. In the evening you can watch the sunset and entertain in comfort on the cushioned armchairs and ottomans.

DOWN THE EXTERIOR STAIRWAY TO THE POOLSIDE BEDROOM SUITE:
Queen size Adeline wooden bed and Asian hand carved bachelor chests. Flower prints, a whimsical metal mirror and the window view of the ocean complete the room.
The bathroom is tiled and the vanity has drawers and a door for storage. The window looks out to the ocean. The walk in shower has a shampoo and soap shelf.
The closet is sized appropriately for two.

SWIMMING POOL:
The pool is 8’ x 40’ built into the hillside affording a wonderful view of the ocean, Vieques Island and Cayo Luis Pena. Relax in the chaise lounges or dine at the round café table. The lush tropical vegetation and two large umbrellas keep you in shade at any time of day.

Please we encourage you to wash off salt and sandy feet before entering the pool or the house.

- "Raven's Nest sits high on a hill with jawdropping views to both sunrises and sunsets. We spent countless hours with a coffee or a cocktail watching the boats from the lanai, as our teenagers hung out in the pool or chilling by themselves in one of the many comfortable spots. Keep in mind, this is a real island, not like the tourist islands where the cruise ships land. Getting around the island is roughing it by comparison. You can get some fine dining, but the best part of Culebra is being with the locals and doing what they do; eat in town and go to the beach. While arranging this vacation, which happened to occur during Holy Week, I had some doubts about whether everything would come together. But with the owner's advice and recommendations, our travel came off without a hitch, and we enjoyed an amazing stay at this gorgeous place. This must be one of the best properties on the island. But listen. This is an island. There will be critters. There will be a different style of amenity. But the bedrooms are individually air conditioned and very very comfortable, and you'll have everything you need to enjoy yourself. Every time we wished we had something, we opened a closet and there it was. Beach chairs, umbrella. Here's a travel cooler. Here's a couple of canvas beach bags. Here's the pool guy to clean the filters. Here's a WORKING ice maker for once! World class snorkeling at the bottom of the hill (a 7-minute walk, IF you want to walk back up it). I could go on and on."

The location of Casa Guava is secluded, quiet, extremely safe, and close to everything. Joey made sure we felt at home and that was worth every penny we spent to stay at Casa Guava. While air conditioning is available, we opted to sleep with open windows, enjoying the breezes and soothing sounds of the ocean below.The separate kitchen and bathroom were thoughtfully designed and well-equipped. We cooked most of our meals in the cozy kitchen and loved the outdoor shower. The hilly property provides a great workout and stunning vistas. The beach club offers access to Flamenco Beach, but we spent most of our time enjoying the glamping site.A trail below the pool leads to secluded Playa Resaca, a beautiful rugged beach. The steep, rocky path requires firm shoes, water, and patience, but the solitude is worth it. This stay was magical, and we highly recommend it for privacy, natural beauty, and luxurious simplicity."

What makes Casa Marbella so perfect? First off, the location is perfect. Located only a short 7 minute walk (or 2 minute drive, with plentiful parking!) from the beautiful Playa Zoni, Casa Marbella is a stone’s (or shell’s) throw away.
Second, because the Casa is situated on one of the higher bluffs of the island, it is exposed to the warm and gentle Eastern Trade Winds which provide some important benefits. Most importantly, Casa Marbella is virtually mosquito free! Biting insects such as mosquitos and No-See-Ums can be quite a nuisance in and around houses with lower wind exposure. Thankfully, the Trade Winds keep these flying nuisances out, all while providing a cooling balsam after a sunny day at the beach. Also, the near-constant breeze makes even the hottest island days pleasurable. And at night, for your convenience, we have recently installed state of the art AC units in every bedroom. While everybody else is sweating, you can be on Casa Marbella’s ocean-view main deck, where you can sip on a cool beverage while enjoying stunning views of St. Thomas, BVI, Culebrita, and Cayo Norte, along with the ships passing through the channel. And let’s not forget the breath-taking twilight scenes and sunrises! In fact, the deck is so nice that, according to rumor, while Casa Marbella is vacant, we have our neighbors come up in the evening for the view and the breeze, watching cruisers passing by, the moon rise, and the hypnotic light of the Culebrita lighthouse. Finally, the property consists of three separate buildings connected with wooden walkways and decks. There is a Master bedroom located on the easternmost part of the property, just next to it there is a living room with kitchen, and to the west of it there is another building where two guest bedrooms and a full bath are located. This arrangement allows for a great deal of privacy for all guests. You will find a spot where you will be able to relax in privacy. In order to have the freedom to experience our beautiful island in its entirety, we recommend that you rent a car (or a golf cart, which is a very popular mode of transportation on the island and provides for a very unique experience). There are two large car rental companies: Carlos Jeeps and Jerry's Car Rental. Once you get to the house you may explore the area on foot. Walking to Playa Zoni requires a bit of effort since road is a bit steep. Traffic on the road is virtually non-existent. You may choose to take a two minute drive instead. There is usually plenty of parking there. There is plenty of parking by the house. Please be careful not to run over the rock border of the driveway.

When you take a walk to Zoni, just before the parking lot, to the left there is a gravel road that goes along the beach through the jungle all the way to the western end. Try that once.

All three bedrooms have individual, brand new air conditioning systems installed.

TRANSPORTATION TO CULEBRA: The airplane is a relatively hassle free, reliable and timely way to travel to Culebra. We recommend the use of the airplane. Main local airlines are Air Flamenco and Vieques Air Link. Air charter operators are also available. Ferry service departs the port town of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. You may buy ferry tickets online but if you are unable to buy the tickets ahead of time, we suggest you take the airplane.

DIRECTIONS TO YOUR RENTED APT.: From the ferry dock keep going on the main street (Rd. #250) towards the airport. From the airport location drive or take a taxi to Tamarindo Estates, 7 to 10 minutes. From the airport stay on Rd #251 North for about 1.3 miles; at Km. 2.2 (by the yellow house) turn left into Tamarindo road till the very end (about 3/4 mile). At the circle on Tamarindo Estates, walk to the office building and follow the instructions for check in.

The place was secluded, private, and expertly executed. Multiple times during our stay, we'd have the thought, "Oh, wouldn't it be nice if they had..." And then moments later, we realized they had already thought of it. From the Nespresso with pods, to several bags of ice, to sunscreen and bug spray, water sports gear. It was amazing to all of the little extras and amenities to be absolutely comfortable and still have the insanely convenient access to Flamenco Beach. If we visit Culebra again, we will be sure to book far enough in advance to stay here again. No other place really compares. "

Open the sliding glass doors and feel the Caribbean breeze! Enjoy the view from the patio balcony. There are two chairs for you to sit outside.

Culebra has an abundance of wildlife including horses, cats and roosters/chickens that roam the island. The island has a rural character. You may hear some roosters during your stay.

San Juan International Airport (SJU) is the largest airport in Puerto Rico with the most flights, domestic and international. To get from San Juan to Culebra, you can fly or take the ferry. Cape Air, Flamenco Airlines and Vieques Air Link. All fly to Culebra. San Juan Isla Grande Airport is a 10 minute cab ride from the International Airport but the flights can be more affordable.

An alternate method of travel is to take the ferry out of Ceiba, offered several times per day. Tickets can be bought online at least one month in advance, sometimes earlier. When online tickets sell out, there are more tickets available in an-person at the ticket office at the dock. This newly renovated apartment is centrally located between the famous Culebra beaches--only 2.5 miles from the famous Flamenco Beach, a 15 minute walk from the airport, and just over a mile from downtown Dewey, and the Ferry dock. Snorkeling equipment and beach chairs are included!

The space
The Casa Rosado Oceanview Studio is a luxury apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Open the glass veranda door and you can see down the bay all the way to the open ocean. The large room has two queen sized beds, a table that seats two people, and a small kitchen area with sink, microwave, and electric stove. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Open the sliding glass doors and feel the Caribbean breeze! Enjoy the view from the patio balcony. There are two chairs for you to sit outside.

Guest access
The entire apartment is yours during your stay. The patio area is shared with another identical apartment next to yours. There is also another apartment above you.

Other things to note
There is a lockable storage box to put your luggage if you arrive before the check in time. If you would like to use it, please let me know and I can provide you the combination for the lock.

Watch the sun rise from the deck, and set over the bay from the front yard. Casita Azul is a small rustic wooden studio cottage attached off the main house Casa Azul. The house sits on a hilltop, on a small peninsula in the quiet neighborhood La Romana. Conveniently located 1.5 miles from the ferry dock; 1 mile from the airport.

The main house of Casa Azul is a 2 br house, which can be rented in addition to the studio, or alone as a separate rental. Message me for details if interested.

The space
The casita is 2 adults maximum, but a child could be considered upon request. An additional one time payment of $25 (sent to you as a money request through Airbnb) will be required after check in is completed.

Other things to note
In Culebra it is not uncommon for the wifi, water and/or power to stop working without warning. An island generator (which powers the house) typically will get turned on if the power is expected to be out for a long period of time. There is not a generator at the house, so we rely on the island generator for power. Water outages are frequent due to old infrastructure. We do have a cistern to provide back up water to the house. There are times the cistern pump is out of order (waiting for parts etc.) or there's no power to run the pump. If that's the case, you will not have water. The Wifi also goes out without warning, and could be out for days. Island life isn't always easy, but luckily there are beautiful beaches that make up for it!

Insects love the tropics, and we work very hard to keep them out of the house! Having said that, you may see, or come in contact with ants, lizzards, big flying roaches, mosquitos, spiders etc. that have made their way inside the house. Please put away food, and keeps surfaces clean of crumbs. Basically, anything that will encourage them from entering. Keeping the screen doors closed as much as possible will make a world of difference!

Quiet, peaceful, and secluded, yet only a 3 min drive to Zoni Beach and a 10 min drive to town; our fully-equipped 2 bdr house is a wonderful retreat from the hustle of typical in town settings. This tranquil setting has a nice shaded patio and outdoor seating. There are 2 queen beds, a single bed, a large couch and a double futon to sleep on. One bedroom utilizes heavy floor to ceiling curtains for its 2 interior walls.

There is a large yard and plenty of parking.

Other things to note
Please keep the gate closed so wild horses don't come in and damage the property. Vehicle rental is available. Cell phone coverage and wi-fi access are both excellent.
