Go right and you are a two block walk from Steps beach, great for sunsets and tide pools. Go left and you are a block from shops and restaurants as well as the calmer Marina beach. We hit up Shipwrecks for dinner and drinks and got ice cream a few times before walking home. Katarina's Sail is also based here so we could walk here for a snorkeling tour. The pool and back porch are amazing. We used this every day and at night while the kids swam the adults could enjoy a few drinks on the porch. As mentioned, there's only AC in the bedrooms which can make the rest of the house steamy during the day when you need to take a sun break. The second bathroom also could use an update to match the modern master bathroom. But overall the location and back pool can't be beat. If you're looking for a chill beach vacation spot with great access to the western end of the island this is it. We will be back!"

- "For starters, the photo implies a single family house. It's a quad..4 attached units. The AC in one of the bedrooms was broken. Marco couldn't get a tech during our stay but he brought a stand fan, so we had to sleep with doors open to cool said bedroom. Pool area is under construction, but open. Other than that, fine location, great amenities." - "We were so impressed with everything about this villa and the location! We divided our trip and spent 3 days on the east side and 4 on the west. This was hands down the best place! The beach is beautiful and just a short walk across the lawn to access. The entire property is well kept and secure. Marco was the “host with the most”! He sent us links to places in the area to visit and tips on surfing beaches, water quality, etc. The villa was so clean and well appointed-they really have thought of everything! With the sunset town of Rincon becoming so popular over these last few years it is truly a pleasure to have a place we can call home away from all the crowds and cars. We are located in Rincon close to Aguada which provides guests the experience to enjoy the this famous surf town while providing a place inside a 145 acre private community with it's own secluded beach, pool, exercise room, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts (tennis rackets, balls & basketball provided-bring your pickleball stuff) all located at the water's edge down a nearly mile long driveway from the street (Rt. 115). Our beach-front home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each vacation stay. Our vacation home contains a master (king-sized bed) boasting excellent ocean/beach views and private bathroom with a large walk-through closet/changing area. The second bedroom (also a king-sized bed) boasts the identical great ocean views and doubles as a 'second' master bedroom. The third bedroom for the children consists of two sets of bunk beds (4 twin-size beds). There is enough sleeping accommodations for your entire vacationing families where 2 couples can have their own rooms and the children have their own bunk-beds. Outside the master bedroom/bath suite there is a full hallway bathroom, linen closet and laundry room. Front-loading stainless steel washer (w/ detergent) and dryer are present. The ground floor consists of an overly-sized living room, dining room with views of the ocean along with the den/TV room. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped with all the necessary cooking and bake ware you'll need including a 12 piece of upper-quality Gotham Steel cookware set. The kitchen is also equipped with an ECHO SHOW with UN-LIMITED PRIME MUSIC. You can listen to any song you want, including complete albums of your favorite bands and artists. So much better than a simple CD player or a static-e radio. There are hotel-quality towels for bathing and the beach provided. The den contains a 50 inch 4K UHD Smart television, Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc. Bring your user names and passwords. Wi-Fi is provided inside the entire villa and first and third floor patios as three Eero wi-fi extenders keep you in touch back home or for business. The third floor patio is partially covered and provides seating for 8 around the bar-height dining table to enjoy the beautiful sunsets of Rincon (best in the summer months). Two-thirds of the patio is open to the sun and is terrific for star gazing. Our large palm tree provides shade when relaxing on the outdoor sofa & lounge furniture while enjoying views of the ocean. There are also a couple of chaise lounges for those who can't get enough sun. Wear sunscreen, the Caribbean sun is indeed strong. These chaise lounges are also great to spend a night sleeping outside underneath the stars while listening to the gentle sounds of the ocean. A light blanket from the hallway closet and pillow will be all that you need for possibly the best slumber of your life (we have personally experienced this ourselves). There is also a first floor patio for barbequing. Large rooms and plenty of sleeping areas along with terrific views of this ocean/beach-front villa makes this property truly unique. Our 3rd floor patio was voted the best of views by residents of the community as unparalleled views of the ocean are provided from there. Surfers take to the ocean right in front of our complex as there are 3 'breaks' present.
The vacation home is located inside the 145 acre, man-gated private community of Punta del Mar Beach Village where you and your loved ones will experience rest and relaxation, quiet times and tranquility, cleanliness of our home along with peace of mind that your children are safe and close-by. The season tide pool allows for younger ones to swim without the worry of big waves crashing at the shore. There are a couple of good-quality boogie boards for your enjoyment. The villa is located along some of the best areas of beach for sea-glass collecting which the children will love to bring back home to show their friends. Strolling along the beach towards the sunset to well-known restaurants such as Casa Islena and Tamboo for lunch or dinner are short 10-15 minute walks respectively. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the air conditioning in bedrooms and downstairs family room worked great. The backyard and pool area was wonderful for having daiquiris after the beach. The rooftop couches were nice for hanging out in the evening . The location is about a 10 min walk into town if that, very easy. The grocery store and a little surf shop and a good place to eat called From Scratch, was just across and down the street. Easy walk or drive and has everything you need. Although The beach is technically at the end of the streeet, about 6 houses away, you can only watch the sunset on the rocks there. There is no per se real beach to set up chairs on. For that you have to go down toward the beach, make a right on that first street, and then walk almost to end, make a left to the beach and then walk a bit on some rocks and then there is a nice big beach. The surfing beaches are nice but they are not very wide and you have to be careful where you set up your chairs so your stuff doesn’t get wet from incoming tide. I know others mentioned the dogs next store to the house but I did not understand the full extent of them until I was there. There are about 3-5 dogs in the property next door. The first day while we stayed by the pool they barked quite a bit. After that we were gone all day and would come back @ 4 pm and they were pretty quiet then. However please note they bark every morning anywhere from 6-7 am. It woke us up every day especially my 18 year old daughter whose room was closest. I would definitely bring a little sound machine for whoever stays in the room with queen bed as that helps. They stop @ 7 am but by then you are already up. That is certainly not the fault of the owner of this wonderful house but you should know about it. There are also a few cats that wander around. They are very well behaved and don’t bother you. We had 2 wonderful meals at Beach House. Teens in our party liked Stoked for ice coffees and smoothies. Plenty of towels for pool and beach."

- "We loved our visit to Tres Amigos! The property was easy to find, safe, well-stocked and incredibly clean. Ricon is a family- friendly town offering beautiful beaches, fun restaurants, boutique shopping and ample opportunities to surf, sail and paddle board. Danny provided a great listing of contacts for outside activities and places to visit around the area as well. We felt confident traveling with our family here and will 100% plan to stay at this house again! The house was perfectly maintained- the furniture felt new and the space offered plenty of room to entertain a larger family or several couples. If traveling with your family as we did, there is a separate downstairs cabana where adults might stay if wanting additional privacy - while the two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs might serve as a separate space for teens and children to entertain themselves at the end of the day. The view from the upstairs back patio was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed watching the waves come in while eating breakfast on the balcony each morning. We are a family of surfers and the walk to a great spot out behind the house is a quick one. If traveling with younger children, a little walk down the beach to the left will take you to less rocky shores and/ or little inlet areas where the kids can safely snorkel too. Chairs, snorkel gear & towels are included! Our kids also especially loved laying in the hammock downstairs and hanging outside after the beach. Thank you again for a great visit!"

The Surf Break is a Vacation Rental in Rincon PR, located in a Fantastic location in the Heart of Rincon's Surfing area (Puntas). Sitting high on a hill (but easy access from the street) The Surf Break was constructed to take full advantage of the best views in Rincon. The home is about a 12 minute walk, .3 miles from the beach. A very secure home in a very safe location. Three our of four 4 bedrooms have large panoramic ocean sunset views. The large private decks feature white water views, views of the breaks at Indicators and Domes as well as the Rincon Lighthouse. The Roof top deck also features views East towards Aguadilla bay. The 3x covered patios all feature ceiling fans for those days where you need just a little more breeze. There are typically 1-2 on street parking spots across the street and one additional shared spot on the property. There are three bedrooms on the main floor. One has a queen-size bed and a connected private full bathroom and ocean view. The second room has two bunk beds and the third room has two full beds and an ocean view, each share a full bathroom.

Second floor - upon ascending an open staircase, on the right is a master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, large private bathroom, cathedral ceiling and two fantastic private decks where one faces east (sunrises) with gorgeous views of Aguadilla bay and the other faces west (sunsets) to the Caribbean sea, the Rincon lighthouse and Desecheo island.

On the left of the stairs, you will pass a half bathroom before entering a large open area which includes a generous fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, full size oven and range, microwave, large refrigerator with filtered water, ice maker, and dining area with a table for eight. This large open area also includes a generous family room which boasts multiple seating areas to accommodate even the biggest groups and it opens to a large outdoor covered deck (with ceiling fans) perfectly suited to sit and watch the surfers, whales and sunsets. A 42' flat screen TV, stereo and blue ray player are also available for your entertainment.

Roof-top - just when you thought you have everything you need, there is more. As you go up the internal stair case one more floor, at the top is an enormous deck (22'x30') with panoramic westerly sunsets and expansive easterly views of the Atlantic & Caribbean seas. This enormous deck allows you to survey most of the Puntas area, check out the surf conditions at domes and indicators, have a large family get together or just take advantage of the complete privacy to work on those pesky tan lines. You will find a large grille, several comfortable recliners and chairs as well as a large table for dinning, playing games....

For larger parties there is an ground level apartment which features a full kitchen with Granite Counter tops, full sized appliances, full bathroom and a separate bedroom with King sized bed and ocean views. Please inquire about apartment pricing as it is a separate charge but extremely reasonable. We only rent the apartment as an add on to the rental of the main house. We break out the charge in order to keep the cost of the main house down for smaller parties. Next door we own the Casita VRBO #395743 which is a 2 bedroom, one bath, full kitchen and family room.

Private Pool great for adults and kids. Yard is completely enclosed/Fenced and pool is enclosed within the fenced yard for maximum safety for kids. The pool is for the exclusive use of the house.

- "We traveled as 3 families (teenagers and adults). First, we all rented vehicles so the location in Rincón makes it easy to get to many local beaches: Domes, Steps, Sandy & Black Eagle, the restaurants, grocers and shopping. Second, everything about the functionality and layout of the house is perfect. The views off the top terrace, the covered patio area below it, the well stocked kitchen, filtered water, and quality appliances, the pool, plentiful bath and pool towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc. Finally, the host happened to be visiting in the adjacent 2-bedroom casita, which is great if you need to rent more space. He was gracious and left coconuts for us, freshly harvested coconut water from his property, and provided lots of recommendations of places to go and things to see at the house, including the Thursday night art walk where local artisans set up. The lighthouse serves enormous mojitos and also has a beautiful sunset. We all fell in love with Rincón and this spectacular house. We can’t wait to get back when the surf is high."

The house is unique in layout, with it's ability to accommodate multi families, couples and friends, everyone will have the benefit of sharing together time as well as private time. There are 3 levels with two full kitchens on the top floor and middle floor, so preparing meals for everyone is never a problem. Top and Middle floor have 2 private bedrooms with a shared bath. The bottom floor has 2 separate suites each with private bath that look out onto the infinity pool. There is a kid friendly infinity pool with varying depths, and a swim up bar to serve refreshments poolside. 42' Flat screen t.v.'s with cable, DVD and surround sound make movie watching on our luxurious leather sofa's a truly enjoyable experience. We are just up the hill from Sandy Beach and 5 min car ride to Marias, Tres Palmas, the Marina and Steps with beautiful snorkeling .

The bedrooms were comfortable and the air-conditioning (a must in Puerto Rico) worked well. The small town of Rincon provided everything we needed, from restaurants to little shops. However, it was about a 5 minute drive into town and a strenuous walk, especially uphill, to and from the beach (not steps away as described). We were not shy in our attempts to discover new beaches and restaurants in the area. There was so much to discover off the beaten path! Especially the roadside stands, which offered delicious fresh food and beverages. Heather the owner and the property manager in Puerto Rico were kind and informative. All in all it was an amazing vacation in a spectacular home. We will definitely be back!"

Michele was very attentive to my questions prior to arrival and even suggested a private chef, who was great. The basic vibe is “be a responsible person and have fun”. We were a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) celebrating my in-laws 50th anniversary. There was plenty of space for all of us. The restaurant/bar at the bottom of the hill has great hours and good food. Domes beach was also very nice and had a nice bar and great empandillas. Previous reviews had mentioned concerns about electricity. This is not a problem. They have a three tier system. If power from the grid goes out, the solar system kicks in. If it’s after 6 pm or > 6 hours the generator kicks in. You will not be without power. There is AC in the bedrooms, but there is also a nice breeze and you may not need AC The kitchen is great, well appointed, spacious, and has wonderful ocean views. The pool has a swim up bar, great ocean view, and was perfect for adults and kids. The only downside was the difficulty I had motivating people to leave the property and explore the surrounding area! Tres Soles 2 Bedroom Apartment is located on the lower level of a private home with ocean views. Please check the flight schedules for the local airports before booking. Many flights arriving at Aguadilla airport arrive in the middle of the night. If your flight arrives after midnight, you will need to book your stay starting the day before unless you have other plans until checkin time.

The space
Based on the people that have stayed in the guest house (casita) it is a great place for a getaway, a place where you'll capture nature's energy, from the sounds of the coquí (small whistle sounding frog) at night, to the roosters' songs in the morning and the sight of the red-tailed hawks nesting in one of the mango trees sitting down the hill from the casita’s deck.

The casita sits in a corner of the 2 acre property in a spot that allows for one of the greatest views in Rincón. There are two houses, the casita, which was built in May 2017 and is a detached guest house, and the main residence. The two houses share a driveway, but the casita has its own private attached parking space. The casita is a studio type floor plan (approx. 300 sq. ft.) with an equally big patio area, with Adirondack chairs and a small table with two chairs, under a mango tree.

All the essentials are included with hot water, air conditioning, indoor/private bathroom, kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, dinnerware, gas burner BBQ , and 1 queen bed. There's also a portable two burner stove.

Guest access
As a guest at Casa Vista you will have access to the entire guest house, the parking space and the private patio. You are free to take pictures or videos of the landscape, plants and the views throughout the property. However, we request that you respect our privacy as well and do not use the main residence for photos or use the areas around the main house.
However, if you find it hard to maneuver your car around in the casita's parking, feel free to drive into our yard to do so, always taking every precaution. We also ask that you refrain from exploring the terrain below the casita. As guests you will have access to use the casita as your own. We will provide you with bedding, extra blankets, towels, kitchen accessories, beach chairs and accessories and patio chairs.

Other things to note
Utility situation: Power has been restored to all of Puerto Rico since Maria and all subsequent hurricanes and storms but the new power company is in the process of restoring the infrastructure and there might be some interruption of services. Please be prepared for any situation that may arise during your stay. We will do our best to deal with any outages that may come (usually after a big thunderstorm) since a lot of the time it is unexpected and we have no control over the situation. In March 2023 we installed solar panels with a Tesla battery and so far it has worked as planned. It is not foolproof of course, especially on rainy season, so we recommend that when you leave the casita you turn off the air conditioner.

Internet (WiFi) is available, but like all other utilities we cannot guarantee the reliability of the system. We will however do our best to notify guests if we are having an issue. Cell phone service may be spotty and/or slow at times but then again you are here to relax! Put away those phones and laptops! LOL.

GPS works pretty good in PR. We will also provide detailed directions upon booking from whichever airport you are arriving at or place in the island where you're driving from.

There are two dogs in the property. Trampa is our son's dog (he lives in the property). She is a rescue dog and she is very friendly and Coco who, at the time of this writing (4/2024) is 2 years and 8 months old. He is also a rescue "sato" or mutt.

The Babanees Surf Studio is a quaint and cool, boho surfer style home located in the heart of Puntas, Rincon. Situated on the top of "Bummer Hill," the home has sweeping ocean views and private chill areas on the property. I have been working hard improving and designing this awesome space. Inspired by surf culture, and the ultimate desire to be comfortable, this is a large studio apartment, 1 bath, with a fully equipped kitchenette. Please read the space details for more information.

The space
Super spacious, light, and comfortable studio apartment. There is a double bed and a twin bed, that fit perfectly in the space. A cozy chill area to stream TV, along with a table that is great for eating and working. There is an outdoor table with a small banana grove for shade and privacy.

This is an affordable studio apartment. I do not recommend you rent this apartment if you are not an independent, well traveled person. I have made the place super comfortable and it has all the amenities needed, but I will not refund you, “if it does not meet your standards.” It is a cute, easy, and basic beach apartment. I have had a few guests, most of whom are of the age of retirement, book solely based on the price, only to find, “this was not their type of place”

This is the type of place for surfers and laid-back guests. Ideal for the adventurous, and not for those with super high expectations of staying in what they believe is a 5-star hotel for less than $60 per night.

Lastly, this house is not located in downtown Rincón. The House is located in BARRIO PUNTAS, which is a highly desired area located in the hills above town. The beaches are within walking distance, and Sandy Beach is right down the hill. The area is known for amazing surfing and views! If you have questions, please reach out. I will be happy to elaborate on the area.

I will not give you a refund if you arrive and say this is not the area you booked. Please reference the Airbnb map, and ask me for the address/area before booking. It may show you another street in Rincón that share’s the same name as the one in Puntas. After your booking is confirmed, I will send you all the details of the location. I repeat this home is not located near the town plaza.

NO PETS! Additionally, I have also had guests rescue dogs off the street, causing me undue stress during the reservation. Many of the rescues in Puerto Rico are strapped, meaning they will most likely not be able to help you, if you decide to take in a stray. They will tell you the responsibility is on YOU to vet the animal and get it off the island. I have rescued animals and fostered them in MY OWN home in PR & NY, but never would I rescue an animal in an Airbnb or a home that is not mine. Since I am about to become a new mother, I won't be able to foster for a while and don't need to be stressed out that you may not be able to truly give this animal the help it needs, or worse, have to put it back on the street before your vacation ends. Think about the consequences and/or contact a rescue before you help out a stray animal in Puerto Rico. I can offer up community resources to reach out to, but that's it.

If you bring an animal, it must be a service dog and I will request documentation, along with a doctor's note that says your animal is a certified service animal- just like the Airlines do.

There is a lovely, disabled family who lives behind our property. They are deaf. They have a dog that spends lots of time outside and has a dog house, additional shade, water, and food provided to him daily. This family loves the dog, and it belongs to their son. However, people from the states sometimes do not understand why the dog is kept outside. I have had guests harass the family and me about the dog. I will no longer tolerate guests who trespass into my neighbor's yard to try and get near the dog. It is not your dog, and you should not assume that you know anything about the situation, being that you are a complete outsider, vacationing in our neighborhood. The neighbors have cameras on their property. If you are caught trespassing on camera, we will notify the authorities, and it will be posted to your Airbnb review. ***If you think you will be bothered by a dog, who is cared for, but spends lots of time outside, please do not book my home.***
