Rainbow Reach cabin is an original golf course cabin that we have extended to make beautifully spacious and liveable. It is flooded with light and has a luxurious country feel.

Rainbow Reach accommodates four people comfortably, promising a relaxing stay for a couple, family or small group of friends. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a spacious living area with kitchen and dining, and timber decks front and back.

The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and an ensuite with a freestanding bathtub, and the second bedroom has two king single beds. The living area looks through large windows to the lovely expanse of green lawn out the front and views through the Casurina trees to the escarpment. There is a spacious wrap-around deck at the front, and a sweet verandah at the back, so that you can find a sunny or shady spot year-round for relaxing with a coffee and a book. We have planted a pretty garden that has grown up really nicely since the photos were taken, which makes the back verandah particularly lovely on a slow afternoon.

There is reverse cycle air conditioning, satellite WiFi, a smart TV (BYO streaming), and a nice big sound bar for music.

We have a 2 night minimum stay, except on long weekends when we prefer a 3 night minimum.

About the resort …

The cabin is set within the Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country club, a beautiful golf resort set on about 150 acres just outside Kangaroo Valley village. It has an 18-hole championship golf course spread over undulating hills with spectacular views. You don't have to play golf to enjoy the cabin - we don't play and we love it here.

While the cabin is privately owned, it has unfettered access to the Resort’s facilities: tennis courts, BBQs, volley ball court, giant chess and swimming pool – all an easy stroll from the cabin. The cabin is set back from the golf course, with a big grassy expanse between, great for children. It is close to one of the tennis courts, with a gas BBQ across the lawn, and is a short level walk to the Club house where you can book for golf.

About Kangaroo Valley …

The historic picturesque village of Kangaroo Valley is hidden away two hours’ drive south of Sydney. The valley is mainly farmland and bushland with pockets of rainforest, surrounded by dramatic cliffs. It is very beautiful all year round, particularly at sunset when the cliffs glow in the setting sun. The valley gets its name from the mobs of Kangaroos that live there. They love the lush grass on our golf course and you can see families of kangaroos feasting on the greens in the early morning and as night falls. There are also lots of wombats trundling around on their stubby legs. They are not at all shy and often wander past the cabin at dusk. One in particular likes to live under it sometimes!

The village of Kangaroo Valley offers cafes, restaurants, an historic pub with good food and a great beer garden, and homeware and gift shops. There is a large local pool for hot summer days, a woodworkers shop and a Pioneer museum. The Kangaroo River runs through the valley and is a perfect spot for picnics, swimming and kayaking.

Kangaroo Valley is a short drive from both the Southern Highlands and the South Coast. The delightful town of Berry is a 30 minute drive away over a spectacular mountain pass. And Jervis Bay is around an hour away, perfect for a day trip.

The Space:
Located in Kangaroo Valley just a 2-hour drive south of Sydney, this picturesque valley offers the perfect getaway for a weekend or short holiday. This fully self-contained sleeps up to 4 Adults comfortably.

The Golf course is originally designed by Jack Newton, it has been extended to provide the discerning golfer with 18 holes of enjoyment on our Championship 71 par course. Although not long at 5775 metres from the back markers, the course is quite testing for even the best golfers with undulating fairways, testing greens and dams coming into play on quite a few holes. Getting Around:
There are two ways from Sydney, we have found option 2 to be the quicker way.
1.Scenic coast road, take the M1 and follow the signs from Berry to Kangaroo Valley.
2.Country drive, follow the M5 motor way to Mittagong and take the Bowral/Mittagong turnoff, from Bowral follow the signs to Nowra/Fitzroy Falls from Fitzroy Falls to Kangaroo Valley.(approx. ½ hour from Bowral to Kangaroo Valley). When you arrive at the entrance to the village, past the bridge, you will see a turning to the right signed for Mt Scanzi Road and Kangaroo Valley Country Club. The entrance to the property is approx. 5km along this road Total journey approx. 2 hours depending on the traffic out of Sydney.

The Tailor’s Terrace , Kangaroo Valley is located behind the Tailor’s Cottage in an elevated position to take in beautiful views of Kangaroo Valley.

The modern architecturally designed home is located in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley village. It is set back from the road and is very private.

The house has a timber floors through, fully equipt kitchen with marble bench top, three bathrooms, two large decks with wonderful views and the house is supplied with everything you need to have a relaxing break.

Space

The Tailor’s Terrace is a modern, light and airy home with 2-bedrooms & 3 bathrooms located in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley Village. Experience all the village has to offer with just a very short walk (100m) to the village cafes, restaurants, hotel and more.
The large master bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen and single bed. Both bedrooms have spacious bathrooms and direct access to the front deck with wonderful views.
In addition a cot/ toddler bed can be provided in either room if needed.
The open plan living, kitchen and dining room looks out to a large private top deck that’s the prefect place for a BBQ while enjoying the great views of the escarpments that Kangaroo Valley is famous for.
The house is perfectly suited for two couple’s to enjoy or for families to have a relaxing break.

Guest access

Guests will have full access to the home. 2 Bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, open plan living/dinning/kitchen and car space for one car. Outdoor space includes: front garden, Lower and upper decks, back deck and back yard.

We want our guests to be as comfortable as possible and to enjoy their stay at house. Your privacy is treated with upmost respect, but if you need anything or have questions during your stay we are only a phone call away.

Neighbourhood overview

The Terrace is located in the heart of the Kangaroo Valley Village. It is within the heritage precinct just opposite the Historic court house building, behind the Tailors cottage. Osbourne park, Oval, children’s playground and village 25m swimming pool are directly across the road. The village cafes, shops, restaurants and hotel are all a very short walk (100m). Kangaroo Valley is uniquely situated between the beautiful villages of the southern highland and the incredible beaches of Jervis Bay. Making Kangaroo Valley the ideal location to base yourself to explore both uniquely beautiful regions. We provide our ‘locals guide’ in the house for suggested day trips and great restaurants within our region.
• Enjoy a bbq on the private upper deck with amazing views of the escarpments.
• Have your morning coffee watching the wildlife beyond the back fence. We are often visited by Kangaroos, echidnas and beautiful birds.
• Take a short walk (100m) to visit the village restaurants, café, boutique shops and hotel.
• Take a walk along the village path, enjoy the village scenery to the historic Hampden Bridge

Getting around

Walking is a great way to explore the village. Everything is within walking distance of our home. A car is needed to come in and out of Kangaroo Valley as public transport is limited.

Nanny Goat Hill is a newly renovated, spacious cottage with a contemporary feel in the midst of country and farmland and just a short 4 minute drive to the village of Kangaroo Valley (Dharawal Country). The cottage is set on 2.5 acres and is set back from the main house by a breezeway and garage, and enjoys its own private entrance, outlook and verandah. It has a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with a large relaxing bathtub, a cozy fireplace, lovely verandah with stunning views , and a private outdoor fire pit to sit around and enjoy.There is also a pool, which is perfect to cool off in in summer. Cuddle with our adorable goats and mini donkeys, and collect eggs from our wonderful free ranging chooks!

Please note that there is a 3 night minimum stay on public holidays.

- "Wonderful peaceful getaway that is great for the kids" - "Just the place we needed for our first getaway as a family of 5, with 3 kids under 4. My first thought about this home and the surrounds was that everything looks so much nicer in person than the photos online. So spacious and comfortable. We cooked several meals, did loads of laundry and dishwashing! so truly a home away from home. Gudula was super friendly. Only small complaint was that the plug in the bath tub doesn't seal properly, so water continually leaks. Otherwise a fabulous stay!"
