We do have a little dog. He's friendly and used to children. He's not allowed upstairs and we won't let him into your private sitting room.

We have a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs and there's a lock on the bedroom door. That's the height of the child-locks. I don't have a travel cot but I'm sure I could borrow one if needed.
