Tried to get cancelled but ended up staying first night and left the following morning. Was told that since we didn't cancel before our trip (after driving from Mich.) we expected to stay there but couldn't. we had to spend the remaining 3 nights in a motel which we had to pay for over and above the cost of the rental. I have used VRBO many times and never had a problem. I think you should refund at least 1/2 of my money because of this terrible listing!! "

2) It is required that guests will need to pay for extra cleanings during a long-term stay of 30 days or more. We require that a cleaning of the home be necessary (1) once per month. Fees will be applied to the platform or payment method of the original reservation.

3) We will, from time to time, stop in to check in on the home with monthly inspections. Guests will be informed 24 hours before arrival.

It is also placed on Easton Avenue, a street with many stores and restaurants! The building has a 24-hour gym, a study lounge with a printer, a gaming space, an outdoor balcony lounge with grills and a kitchen, garage parking, and bike storage. You will have the single room to yourself but you are welcome to use the kitchen living room and other spaces freely!

Check-in is anytime after 4 PM. The availability of early check-in is entirely dependent on our housekeeping team's schedule.
Check-out is anytime before 10 AM. Our housekeeping team runs on a tight schedule and needs an adequate amount of time to ensure the house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for the next guest.

★ Pets ★

This unit is pet friendly! The nonrefundable pet fee is $135 per pet per stay (for stays shorter than 1 month) or per month (for stays longer than 1 month) up to a maximum of 2 dogs. Unauthorized pets brought into the unit will result in an additional substantial fee of $300 per pet. Dogs must be house-trained and you must pick up after them. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or on beds. Dogs cannot be left unsupervised in the home under any circumstances unless kenneled. Dogs must always be on a leash when outside.

★ Smoking ★
No smoking or vaping is allowed indoors. An additional cleaning fee of $1,000 will be charged to remove the smell of smoke from the home.

★ Parking ★
Off-street parking is available for one car in the driveway in front of the garage on the side of the home. Free street parking is available.

★ Garage ★
A one-car garage is available. Please note that the garage does not come with a key fob or remote access; it can only be opened from inside the house.

★ Trash ★
The main trash bin and recycling bin are located outside in the side yard. Trash is picked-up on Tuesday. Recycling is done every Friday and is separated by paper/cardboard one week, glass/bottles the next.

You will have access to the entire unit with the exception of the locked closet reserved for the owners.

Check in with ease using the keyless entry electronic keypad on the front door. You will receive a unique door lock code prior to your arrival on your reserved check-in day.

Please Note: There is one motion activated, actively recording doorbell camera located on the front of the property. The camera does not impede on guest privacy and are there for security reasons only. If you touch or tamper with the camera, you will be asked to leave the property immediately.

There are five water leak detectors in kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, and utility room of the unit for property safety to alert the guest and host if there is a water leak in the unit.

By booking this unit, you agree to the following House Rules. You will be asked to leave without a refund if you break any of these rules.

• Children must be under the supervision of their parents or legal guardian at all times.
• Check-in is anytime after 4 PM.
• Check-out is anytime before 10 AM. No late check-out allowed unless specifically approved by the host.

• Dispose all cooking oils in the trash. Do not pour grease or oil down the drain or toilet as this will clog the pipes.
• Please remove lint from laundry dryer after each load to prevent dryer fires.
• No open flames of any kind, including candles, glitter, or confetti are allowed.
• Tampering with the Wi-Fi router, outdoor security camera, and owner’s closet is strictly prohibited.
• Please follow the town's trash collection policy as outlined in our electronic house manual.
• The host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or damages that occur to guests or their belongings while on the premises.
• You will be responsible for any damage caused to the property by you or your party during your stay, as well as any additional charges if excessive cleaning is required.
• Biohazards and excessive garbage/dirty dishes/pet hair will result in an additional cleaning fee.

The space
Clara’s Place is in the historic section of New Brunswick, completely restored 15 years ago with much of the original character intact. Huge windows make for plenty of natural light; pocket doors and original banister showcase the beauty of the original wood.

Downstairs is the living room and small but convenient kitchen with pantry & fridge space for guests’ items. Coming soon is the ground floor premium bedroom w/ private bath and separate entrance.
Down a few stairs in the basement is the laundry with laundry supplies. Upstairs on the 2nd floor is a budget-friendly bedroom and a larger guest room next door; these two bedrooms share the bath on that floor.

This is a House of Well-Being partner site, which means the location, physical space, amenities and host all meet standards that are considered essential for a quality experience. Bharati Carla works with these home-hosts to incorporate some of what is found at the original HoWB Ile Alafia, including protocols for air quality, ambient light and sound.

Easy to walk a few blocks to convenience store and downtown shops and eateries; also train and bus station. Local bus or car will get you to grocery store and traveling outside of the immediate area.
Street parking is free and if not available in front of house then usually nearby or around the corner on Livingston Ave.

This is a quaintly curated home of a collector and plant lover with a background in hospitality dating back to her early days on the island of Trinidad. Those who can appreciate this kind of aesthetics will enjoy themselves tremendously. The space is as endearing as the host.

There are stairs from the sidewalk to the front door; and also stairs from the entrance to the 2nd floor private bedroom/bath. It’s an older home so the staircase is standard size not super spacious.

It is a very nice townhouse with two bedrooms upstairs. You have the whole townhouse. Close to Cook campus. Nice kitchen , New stove, leather sofa. Central Air and Heating. Supermarket(International Market, Bravo)and bus stop are right at the community entrance. Bus to RWJ and St Peter’s hospitals and Rutgers are just minutes. There’re a lots of great restaurants and supermarkets at George Road. Guests stay 3 months plus are responsible for all utilities.

Check-in is anytime after 4 PM. The availability of early check-in is entirely dependent on our housekeeping team's schedule.
Check-out is anytime before 10 AM. Our housekeeping team runs on a tight schedule and needs an adequate amount of time to ensure the house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for the next guest.

★ Pets ★

This unit is pet friendly! The nonrefundable pet fee is $135 per pet per stay (for stays shorter than 1 month) or per month (for stays longer than 1 month) up to a maximum of 2 dogs. Unauthorized pets brought into the unit will result in an additional substantial fee of $300 per pet. Dogs must be house-trained and you must pick up after them. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or on beds. Dogs cannot be left unsupervised in the home under any circumstances unless kenneled.

★ Smoking ★
No smoking or vaping is allowed indoors. An additional cleaning fee of $1,000 will be charged to remove the smell of smoke from the home.

★ Parking ★
Off-street parking is available for one car in the driveway in front of the garage on the side of the home. Free street parking is available.

★ Garage ★
A one-car garage is available. Please note that the garage does not come with a key fob or remote access; it can only be opened from inside the house.

★ Trash ★
The main trash bin and recycling bin are located outside in the side yard. Trash is picked-up on Tuesday. Recycling is done every Friday and is separated by paper/cardboard one week, glass/bottles the next.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire unit with the exception of the locked closet reserved for the owners.

Check in with ease using the keyless entry electronic keypad on the front door. You will receive a unique door lock code prior to your arrival on your reserved check-in day.

Guests must also upload their ID to the profile section of the booking platform.

Please Note: There is one motion activated, actively recording doorbell camera located on the front of the property. The camera does not impede on guest privacy and are there for security reasons only. If you touch or tamper with the camera, you will be asked to leave the property immediately.

There are five water leak detectors in kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, and utility room of the unit for property safety to alert the guest and host if there is a water leak in the unit.

The space
This is a mother daughter style house. The host occupies the one part of mother/daughter and the rental unit is the other part. The rental has a separate private entrance. Your reservation includes two separate suites. Each Suite (Suite 1 and Suite 2) has a full bath (total of two full baths). Each Suite also has its own kitchenette, separate dining areas. Note: The units have a toaster oven, but do not have a full-sized stove/oven. Each Suite has a queen size bed (the queen bed in Suite 2 is a pull-out sofa), flat screen TV- HBO, Netflix, Prime, Roku etc. Suite 2 has a wood burning fireplace. (NOTE: Access to Suite One is through Suite Two) There is a private sunroom, laundry room with laundry supplies. Exclusive use of the yard, patio, BBQ, and a private entrance to the park. As the only ABB guests, you will be the only people using any of the yard or park access.

There is parking in the driveway. Guests have private separate entrance to suites. Guests also have private separate access and use of all of the following:: the back yard, the paved patio, the BBQ grill, the outside tables and Fire pit table, the fully fenced in backyard leads to private entrance to suites. Walk through the park to all the attractions of New Brunswick or you can drive.

Other things to note
Each suite has a smart Roku Flat Screen TV with numerous stations including HBO, Netflix, Amazon. Apple, and more. For those that are more adventurous we will provide kayaks to go on the Delaware Raritan canal which is Adjacent to the park. Four kayaks are available. We also have four bicycles.
