The Canal house is a 2 bedroom 1 & 1/2 Bathroom, On The Delaware and Raritan Canal state park tow path, only a few block walk to Main Street Lambertville. You can enjoy the front porch swing bench and watch the people and ducks on the canal or the private fenced in back yard with an out door dining table. you can also enjoy the view of the canal from a private second floor screened in porch. We have made this Canal Builder’s 1850’s era home into a comfortable and fun place to enjoy while visiting the Lambertville and New Hope areas. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit.

Spend the day exploring the rivertowns on the Deleware. We are 1 mile from dowtown Lambertville NJ and New Hope PA. After a day of shopping and dining come back to our retreat to relax by the fire, soak in the hottub. There is a lot to offer in the Hunterdon/Bucks area. We have beautiful state parks to hike or you can bring/rent bikes to ride on the Deleware canal and explore other rivertowns with dining, craft beers, and wineries. If you are coming with kids, there are plenty of parks, a brand new vintage arcade. In the summer, there is tubing and kayaking on the river. Other seasonal favorites are the New Hope haunted train ride, Santa Steam train ride, and the Spring Shad Festival.

- "I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful private apartment/studio in July. I was not looking to cook much during my 3 night stay. There are many options to eat in Lambertville and New Hope. But I also brought provisions which were accommodated by the fridge, microwave, and electric griddle. If you are looking to cook meals, this may not be the place for you. It was perfectly suited for myself -- a lovely reading nook, outdoor seating to relax and eat, and easily walkable to the paths of the Delaware & Raritan Tow Path. I was looking for a place that was easily accessible to the lovely town of Lambertville/ New Hope, safe, and close to all the wonderful outdoor activities-- hiking, biking and kayaking. All of which i was able to enjoy while staying in this humble abode. Leah, the host, was very accommodating and responsive. Kudos for a wonderful stay!"

The open floor plan between the kitchen, dining room and living room creates an engaging environment and roles right into the outdoor patio. The master bedroom includes a reading nook with a day-bed that has a trundle bed with 2 singles ideal for kids and a large walk-in closet housing a trundle bed with 2 singles. Quiet Hours: Our neighbors have just welcomed a newborn. Since we share a wall with them (this is a two-family duplex or townhome), we kindly ask you to keep noise levels down after 10 PM, especially in the upstairs bedroom, to maintain a peaceful environment for everyone.

Pets: Allowed upon request. Please inquire ahead of time to make necessary arrangements.

Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property.

- "This wonderful home was as wonderful as the description! The home was immaculately clean, and communicate with the manager was pleasant and simple. We would enthusiastically recommend!" - "Planned a staycation for my partner and kids for her birthday. Very well appointed home from the kitchen to the bedrooms. We were able to spread out and yet enjoy time together on the main floor. This Gen Xer loved playing the old school arcade games with our kids in the gameroom. We had lunch at the Hash House (a must do, veggie friendly too) juat a 2 minute walk and walked to our dinner reservation. Convenient location and tons of free on street parking. All you have to do is show up! One note: it is not very accessible for anyone who may have mobility challenges. However there is a pullout couch and half bath on the 1st floor. Definitely recommend for large groups."

The home has everything one would need to make a meal to include a beautiful trestle dining table that seats 6 comfortably. Although we did not travel with small children, the home has everything needed for little ones. We loved walking through both villages and a morning stroll along the canal.
