- "After finally finding this place using our Waze app, we were pleasantly surprised. The listing only says Bucks County, the owner said it was in Carversville & the Waze said it was in Plumstead. It is a 15 min ride to New Hope. The host, Joann told us it was set back from the road & the mailbox across the street, this helped. P Parking was nice and the room was around the side of the house with a private deck facing the beautiful pool, which we used, and beautiful countryside. I woke up early to catch the most beautiful sunrise. The bed was comfortable. We used the small fridge and Keurig. Coffee set up. Fortunately I brought a blower dryer, I didn’t see one, there was an iron & nice big tv. The bathroom was a nice size.there were fruit trees on the grounds & Joann offered me peaches, which I canned when I returned home. The property is a work in progress and not fancy but so comfortable and quiet. The host answered my questions promptly before our stay. We attended a family reunion in Lambertsville about a 1/2 hr away."

A meticulously restored 18th-century Stone House. Located and voted on as one of Solebury Township's most picturesque roads. The Home is located on 8 pristine wooded acres and has been updated to current living styles with up-to-date bathrooms, a working fireplace, and a full kitchen with all appliances, including a dishwasher and ice maker. The home also includes two bedrooms with queen beds, closets, and dressers. The upstairs bath includes a walk-in shower and a full soaking tub. The downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. Each bathroom includes a water closet.

The house consists of three levels, the lower level contains the kitchen with a dining island, bathroom with a shower, and a sitting/ TV room. The middle level consists of an open-plan sitting room with a walk-in fireplace and formal dining area, the Upper level consists of two bedrooms with Queen Beds, a full bath with tub, and a Shower with a foyer area. Each level is accessed by 18th-century Butterfly (pie-shaped) stairs.

The upper level has hand-plastered walls and ceilings with pumpkin pine floors, the Middle level has exposed stone walls with wide board pine floors, and the Lower level has exposed stone walls with carpeting and stone floors. Each floor has radiant heat and is individually controlled.

The house is attached to the owner's home but is fully autonomous with a separate and private entrance and private off-street parking.

You will be within walking distance to the quaint village of Lumberville and the Delaware Canal walking path and pedestrian bridge that crosses the Delaware River connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Here you can dine at the Historic Black Bass Restaurant or casual dining at the Lumberville General Store with inside and outside dining options. The towpath along the Delaware River is fantastic for bike riding or a leisurely walk along the 58-mile path and scenic overlook of the River. Cross over to New Jersey via the pedestrian walking bridge and enjoy the New Jersey towpath that wanders along the Delaware River to the historic town of Lambertville. I

Bring your Kayaks or Paddle Boards and enjoy boating on the Delaware River and the Delaware Canal State Park, where you can find easy access boat ramps and Kayak launches.

Within ten miles of the home, you will find many interesting towns, including New Hope, Doylestown, Lahaska, and Peddler's Village all in Pennsylvania. And in nearby New Jersey, you can experience Stockton, Lambertville, and Frenchtown.

Local Train Access via Doylestown to Philadelphia and points south, as well as in Trenton, New Jersey, provides access to trains to New York, Washington, DC, and points north and south. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) located 32 miles from the home, has direct train access to Doylestown, where rental cars are available.

It is located in a charming, verdant area, off the beaten track, but near to New Hope, Peddlers' Village and other fun places to visit. The home is furnished with taste and care and it was very comfortable for four people. The owners live in a house on the other side of the VRBO and they were very friendly & responsive; we got a requested second key within hours. As stated in the description, there are winding wooden steps down to the kitchen & up to the bedrooms from the main level that require care. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this jewel of a home!"

The entire 10 acres are flat and perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities. The pool area is fenced with large hardscaped surfaces complete with ample outdoor furniture, outdoor dining tables, and gas grill.

Inside, you'll also have no shortage of space and things to do. The home is equipped with two full kitchens, 3.5 baths, 8 bedrooms, and a plethora of living/entertaining spaces.

The kitchen in the main part of the home is fully stocked and features a center island with seating along with a peninsula with additional seating, AND a dining table for 4. Directly off the kitchen are 4 fantastic spaces. First is a living room with TV, gas fireplace, and comfy couch/chairs. off the living room is an impressive dining room with massive table and seating for 14. Third, is a pool table room w/ TV and additional seating. Finally... and perhaps my favorite part of the home is the rear sunroom overlooking the pool and expansive green space.

The upstairs of the main part of the home houses 6 bedrooms and 2 full baths. At the top of the stairs are 3 bedrooms accompanied by a hall bath. Bedroom 1 has a king bed along with a twin over twin bunk, bedroom 2 has a queen bed along with a twin over twin bunk as well, and bedroom 3 has a full size bed. The east wing of the second floor contains three more bedrooms along with a full bath, and breakfast nook with a beverage cooler and cabinetry. Bedroom 4 has a king bed, bedroom 5 has a queen bed, and finally bedroom 6 is accessed by walking through bedroom 5 and contains a twin over full bunk.

Moving back down to the first level and into the west wing of the home or the "extended family" portion of the home you'll find a den with TV and full size sofa bed. Off the den is a small bedroom with a twin over twin bunk and the third full bath. In the rear of this part of the home is the second kitchen along with a game room outfitted with a foosball table, TV, NBA jam, and Golden Tee arcade games!

Finally, the upstairs of the west wing of the home has the final bedroom which contains a queen bed along with two twin beds. This is a loft area with beautiful views through a large picture window of the backyard.

Early check-ins, and late check-outs are extremely hard to accommodate due to cleaning and maintenance schedules. Please do not assume these can be accommodated. If you would like more time, please book accordingly. Thank you for understanding!

*EXCESSIVE NOISE WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT BE TOLERATED.* With that said.... Sorry for the excessive caps! In all seriousness though I certainly don't want this to come off as our home being the "no fun house". Rather, I mention this simply to make the distinction between music being played at a reasonable volume vs at a 10 or someone yelling compared to people gathering and having a conversation. This would go for any time of the day but especially at night. The neighbors should not hear your music or feel like they're part of your conversation! Additionally, there are exterior security cameras in 3 locations. Side door, front door, and the upper right corner on the rear of the home.

The property is ever evolving with plans to add more animals. Currently there are chickens, 2 black angus steer 3 goats and a few sheep. Sit out back at the firepit and enjoy frisbee golf, darts, Axe Throwing, swings for the kids and other yard games. Just please enjoy all that nature has to offer! :)
In Spring and Summer months, enjoy seeing the beautiful plants, flowers and birdlife in full effect! Our family will harvest vegetables and herbs planted in the gardens and greenhouse that we are happy to share with you, and welcome you to join us in feeding the farm animals daily if you like. She’s located on a patch of green grass behind some trees on an active horse farm. The scenery is idyllic, it was truly my little piece of heaven when I lived there. In the evenings when everything was quiet and still and the sun was setting, I’d just sit there in my hammock chair or on my steps and take in the beauty.

In the day time, there are visitors on the farm sometimes, riding horses (this is a horse boarding farm) you may see some people here and there but the area is pretty private and the people aren’t generally loud. I've been here a few years and have felt totally safe. There are cameras in the parking lot on the property where people come and go. We also have goats, chickens, donkeys, etc. The house is parked far enough away that you feel like you have you own space.

Details about the house:

It’s a lived in home, the butcher block countertop isn’t in perfect shape, the front door is a little weathered and some of the doors inside have some scuffs. But this is just me and my perfectionist mentality ;) Otherwise the home is absolutely lovely. I loved coming home after work every day. It was my place to unwind from the hectic world.

- The home is under 250 square ft including the loft. It feels very spacious, has tall ceilings and dons 12 windows for an open feel.

- My home is furnished, complete with everything you need in the kitchen to live and cook.

- The bed is upstairs in the loft and access to the loft is via a metal rung ladder. Not easily accessible for small children or the elderly.

- I have a powerful mini split unit that can quickly heat and cool the home.

- The bathroom has a spacious shower, large sink and a compost toilet. There are 2 bathrooms in the main barn that have flush toilets that you are free to use for #2 if you don't like the ideal of composting. #1 is totally doable in the compost toilet as it goes straight outside. The bathroom also has heated floors.

- The property has a large dumpster that gets picked up on Fridays, you are free to put your trash in there.

- The lawn is mowed by the landowners

- I have filtered water (carbon) that comes from the smaller tap next to the kitchen sink

- WIFI included

A beautiful winding staircase stands directly ahead, leading to the upper levels. To the left of the foyer, you'll find the entrance to the spacious kitchen, which seamlessly connects to a stunning two-story family room at the rear of the house. The fully equipped chef's kitchen boasts modern stainless steel appliances, a large central island perfect for food preparation and casual dining, and a cozy eating area, making meal preparation and enjoying breakfast together a breeze. Conveniently located off the kitchen is a butler's pantry, providing extra space for storage, cocktail preparations and entertaining glassware. Please note that as we enjoy our home during the school year, you may find a number of owner's closets throughout the property. Our home is just down the hill from downtown Doylestown where numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, parks, and museums await.

We are a 1/2 mile from the Doylestown Train Station to and from Philadelphia, and the Transbridge Bus Line ( from NYC). We have easy street parking in front of the house.

Just a two minute drive away you will find an abundance of good food, bars, museums, and a little longer drive, great hiking ( Ralph Stover State Park, Peace Valley, Ringing Rocks). Hosts are avid hikers and will invite you to join if they’re headed out during your stay.

Two extra bedrooms ( one with twin bed and trundle and one with king bed), both
used by the hosts’ kids 1/2 of the week can also be booked for an additional cost if needed during dates when the children are not in residence. These rooms will not be dedicated to guests and will have the kids items
on the walls and in the closets.

Guest accommodations are the Mildred Manning room, a large light-filled bedroom with king size bed, dresser, desk, mini-fridge/freezer with ice, a Keurig machine and a closet with hangers. The original wavy glass windows are operable to let in fresh air and include shades and curtains. The bedroom is heated and cooled with central heat/air and the ducts were just cleaned.

Guest access
Guests have full use of our dedicated on street parking spot directly in front of the house. Guests also have access to the Reading Nook, which includes a cozy settee and a library filled with books. The hall bath is for the Mildred Manning Room guests only and includes a new Kohler toilet, sink, vintage shower (on the small side because the house was built in the 1800s!), fresh towels and complimentary toiletries. Mildred Manning Room guests also have use of The Parlor, a seating area on the first floor, as well as the light filled front porch which is filled with plants and wicker furniture to take in being in the heart of Doylestown. The house is shared with a caretaker and owners office. The office is occupied M-F sometime between 8-6.

The space
Our home was originally built in 1952 and was renovated in 2017, sitting across from the meticulously kept Doylestown Cemetery. A quick 5-10 min walk and you will be downtown with access to many different restaurants and shops.

The space includes an open floor plan with the dining room, kitchen and living room all on the first floor. The wall slider located off the back of the house, opens up to a blue stone patio with a dining table, fire pit and grill.

There is a playroom and a half-bath also located on the first floor and laundry facilities in the basement.

The second floor includes a full bathroom with a tub/shower and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is en suite, including a large window that overlooks the backyard, king bed, smart tv, walk-in shower and closet. The additional bedroom includes a queen bed and closet.

The third floor includes a sectional, smart-tv, desk, peloton (subscription not included but you can sign-in) and a queen air mattress.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the majority of the house, with the exception of one bedroom and one closet. Access to the garage is available for use of all toys in the garage, but no parking is allowed in the actual building. Driveway parking is available with your stay.

You might recognize our cozy home from HGTV's House Hunters! If you're looking for walkability to Doylestown's bars, restaurants, museums and shopping, but still want privacy on a quiet street, this is the house for you. Our vintage home, built in 1858, has been updated to include a beautiful family room featuring a wood-burning stove that opens to an eat-in kitchen perfect for spending time with friends. Only 15 minutes from Peddlers Village and New Hope, and just 1 hour north of Philadelphia.

The space
Our home was built in 1858. The front living room is original to the house, and the beautiful old floorboards are proof. The house bears a sign featuring the name of the original owner. Our house was featured on House Hunters in November 2016, although the episode shows the house before a major addition and renovation. There is a large and comfortable family room with a wood-burning stove and powder room and laundry room on the first floor. The kitchen is bright and sunny and perfect for spending time together enjoying a meal at the large island or kitchen table. Upstairs, you'll find a large master bedroom with a beautiful bathroom, featuring a sliding barn door and dual vanities, as well as a large shower with a stone floor. There are two other cozy bedrooms, one with a queen bed and ample closet space, as well as a charming bedroom original to the house's 1858 construction with a twin bed and toddler bed. An air mattress will be provided for a 6th sleeping space, and a crib is also available. There are built-in wall units for heat and AC in the downstairs family room and upstairs master bedroom. The middle bedroom and front bedroom have window AC units in warmer months. There is an additional large full bathroom with a tub shower on the second floor. Charming historical details can be found throughout the house, including a pie staircase and original built-in cabinets and hard wood floors.

We have a 40 gallon fish tank in our kitchen that has many interesting fish. If you are staying longer than a night, we hope you wouldn't mind feeding the fish- it's a simple task that takes less than a minute.

Our home has a washer and dryer which are available to our guests, as well as a Keurig and many varieties of tea. We have a smart TV which offers basic cable and access to our Netflix account. If you have your own membership with Hulu or Amazon Prime, you can access that via our TV as well.

Our home is meticulously maintained and has beautiful rugs, furnishings and art throughout. For this reason it may not be a good fit for families with young children.

The space
The house is our family home, so we have books on shelves, things in drawers and personal items in closets. The downstairs bedroom will have an empty closet and several empty dresser drawers. The second bedroom and third bedrooms will each have one empty closet.

All three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite bathroom through a secret door. That bathroom can also be used through the main door as a WC during the day for the main floor if needed.

The main living room is spacious and grand. Furniture is expensive and many pieces are one of a kind. Please do keep shoes off furniture. Ideally we prefer not to have shoes in the house.
Most of the hardwood floors are original and have been recently refinished. Please treat with care!
The family room is cozy and comfortable with a recliner chair.

The kitchen has a large Viking range and a Subzero fridge. We will ensure that there are at least two empty shelves in the fridge and an empty freezer drawer for your stay.

We have a large dining table and a sunroom which seats 4 - or add a chair and it easily fits 5. Please use placemats. 😊

My favorite place is the front porch where you can sit and watch the world go by.

The carriage house/ barn at the end of the yard is not included.
The parking spot outside the arched gate is for your use - please ensure you stay on the side with the white fence. Thank you!

2/ENTRY BY OWNER.

Owners or their designees may enter the premises under the following circumstances:
In case of an emergency, to make any necessary agreed upon repairs, or in the event of a suspicious party or gathering in which more guests than the agreed upon and contracted amount has been observed by a neighbor or otherwise.

3/SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES.

Guest and all occupants will be required to vacate the premise and forfeit the payment fee and security deposit for any of the following: Occupancy exceeding the agreed upon guest count and names thereto, or occupancy exceeding the contracted guest count in the reservation, using the premises for any illegal activity, causing damage to the premises or damage or disturbance to any neighboring properties, bringing any animal into the property.

4/MAINTENANCE.

Please report any maintenance needs discovered on the premises and the host will respond as quickly as possible.
Refunds will not be made for maintenance issues including, but not limited to electrical service interruptions,heating and air conditioning, appliances, televisions, cable, WiFi, and stereos.

5/GUEST COUNT AND NAMES.

As per booking platform rules names of all guests using the property must be listed on the reservation with the host. Any revisions to this list must be shared with the host prior to entering the property. Falsifying this information will result in termination of reservation without refund. Additional guests are not insured by Airbnb even if they stop by for a moment, everyone is better off being protected, we appreciate this respect in advance. All children of any age must be listed on the reservation without exception.

6/GUESTS of GUESTS.

No guest may invite any guest to the property that is not listed and named on the booking though the booking platform. Any changes to the original guest list must be agreed upon with the host though an altered reservation before any new guest is allowed to enter the property. If the guest list is amended on the day of check in a call to the Airbnb may be necessary but in all cases no new guest is allowed to enter the property without being listed on the reservation altered or otherwise.

7/ GUEST CONTRACTORS.

If a guest contracts any services during the reservation the host must be notified in advance. The contractor must be approved by the host who will require any such contractor to provide a valid insurance policy naming the property owners as beneficiaries of the policy.

8/ PLUMBING.

Our home is a beautiful but older lady! Please nothing but basic use of toilet paper to be flushed in the toilets, no feminine products.

The house with the exception of the attic, basement and primary bedroom suite which will be locked.
A closet will be available in each bedroom and a closet in bedrooms 2 and 3 will be marked private. Dresser drawers are private please.
You are welcome to enjoy the patio and garden.
The carriage house is not included and a family member may stay in the carriage house on days that we are in town. There is a private entrance to the carriage house so you will not see anyone onsite and your stay will be completely private.

Other things to note
This is our family home. Please be respectful of our things and leave closets and drawers closed.
The closet in the downstairs chinoiserie bedroom will be empty for your use.
