Balmertown has public access recreation center (pool, fitness center, bowling, outdoor rinks)
Red Lake also has a recreation center (splash pads, skateboarding park, squash court), library and an impressive museum.
Balmertown is a 10 minute drive, Red Lake 15 min.
Both communities have groceries/gas/amenities/fishing supplies etc.
Other things to note
The home is located near McKenzie Island accessible via ferry or ice road. This small historic community offers a unique lifestyle and local people willing to share their stories.
McKenzie Island offers an excellent viewing location for Northern Lights with little interference of ambient city lights.
