Huge backyard (just at Red River's bank ) to enjoy in the summer with fire pit and BBQ . Very nice porch to enjoy .

Five minutes from Birds Hill town site! This unique 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home 5 minutes north of Winnipeg in East St Paul is nestled on 3.3 acres. The main massive open concept area features many windows, a gorgeous custom electric fireplace with 75 inch smart TV. 2 kings, 1 queen and a futon provides adequate sleeping for families and groups up to 8. The kitchen is stocked with all of your essentials and small appliances. Our master bedroom has been tastefully finished with a double exit to the deck and fenced main yard and fire pit.

The living room ceiling fan is turned on and off by the middle switch beside the fire extinguisher. There is a white remote to adjust speed. We prefer to keep it running clockwise for air distribution without much wind, but it is up to you how you use it!

The other three ceiling fans found in the bedrooms may be used that your comfort as well. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom is only controlled by way of the drawstrings.

This home has three bedroom. There is a giant master bedroom that opens to the patio, has a king bed and a futon - sleeping itself up to four people.

A king bedroom sleeps two, a queen bedroom sleeps two, and in the living room we can accomodate up to another 2 on the couches.

There are two bathrooms - the larger has a shower and a tub/shower. The smaller has a tub/shower.

We have a fireplace, fire pit, bbq, and three acres of backland to explore.

The property is fenced for safety and dogs.

This is a quaint, heritage home in centre of town and within walking distance of restaurants and stores and the Red River, The boat launch is just blocks away in Selkirk Park for the fishermen. 24 hour free parking on the street There are three bedrooms and a bath in the upstairs for guest use only. Shared use of the kitchen for meals, living room to relax, porch for sitting, a yard where you can sit, relax or enjoy meals outdoors. My accommodations are homey, comfortable and clean.

The space
This is what is described as a character home, it’s cute, cozy and quaint. The house is full of original artwork in a traditional style. The yard and gardens are beautiful and there is a fire pit for warm summer evenings or brisk winter nights available for guest use.

Guest access
Entrance through the front porch and door. Access to all rooms on the main floor, living room, music room, dining room and kitchen with access by home owner. Fridge and freezer space is provided. Front porch as seen in the pictures is for guest use as is the sleeping balcony off the stair landing. All three bedrooms and bath upstairs are for guest use only and will be rented as one and are only available to the one set of guests. There will be no one else on the second floor, in the bedrooms or bath other than the single set of renters.

During your stay
I will be staying in my private space in the basement. There is a room for the very friendly dogs in the back porch and I will be using that entrance to access my space and care for them. If guests need my assistance I will be available to them during their visit.

Rent includes private use of the upstairs bedrooms and bath. Host will be on site in a different sleeping space.

The Carriage House is a unique 1800's building that has been meticulously and lovingly restored and brought up to modern standards. It is set within charming grounds backing on to the Red River and Selkirk golf course. Downstairs you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area, and shower room and W.C. Upstairs is a family bedroom, with a queen size bed and two twin beds. Ideal for individuals, couples, families, and friends seeking a private getaway.

The house has large windows throughout offering wonderful views all year round. A wrap around deck offers privacy for guests and a quiet place to relax.

Centrally located in Selkirk, The Carriage House is only a 45 minute drive to downtown Winnipeg. During the summer there are plenty of nearby family friendly places to visit. It is just a 15 minute drive to Birds Hill Park which has a beach and swimming lake, and 20 minutes to the nearest sandy beach (Patricia) on Lake Winnipeg. Selkirk itself has a wonderful park with an outside pool during July and August. During winter there are cross country ski trails and snowshoeing available from the back door on the golf course and also at Birds Hill Park.

Guest access
The Carriage House is located on the same property as your host, with dedicated guest parking, separate access and a private deck. Guests are welcome to share the outdoor space with our young family. You should expect to hear us playing outside most days, all year round!
