- "The place was amazing to much to list, Amber was awesome to communicate with so if your looking for a place to stay when you're in the Deadwood or Sturgis area look no further this is the place with all the comforts of home." - "The property was perfect for our vacation group of 5. The size and layout was great. The location in Sturgis made it more central to the various sites we visited. It’s a newer property so the landscaping is still underway. A couple of important notes: 1) we stayed in a lot of VRBO properties together and this one has by far the best amenities we’ve had. The little details were so appreciated and shows how much the property owners care. A few examples include things like wireless chargers on every nightstand, makeup remover cloths in the bathrooms, full gas tanks for the grill & outdoor fireplace and well stocked paper, laundry & cleaning supplies. These details just pushed the property over the top. 2) The property is in a brand new development on a golf course. The homes are and will be gorgeous. This does mean that there is construction & construction noise during the day. This did not impact our group or our stay. However, if you’re sensitive or picky, be aware. Our opinion…the property is well worth a bit of noise. 3) our only “complaint” is the design flaw of the main bathroom sink. While it looks great and is unique, the faucets are not well suited for the trough sink. To get hot water, the faucet has to be turned all the way up/high pressure that then sprays everywhere. Keeping the pressure low meant cold water running at the back of the sink, flooding the counter. It was a terrific property & excellent experience—highly recommend!"

It was clear from our arrival that Anna & JP have put a lot of thought into this property. Everything you need from the comforts of home was provided. Central location made it easy to day trip anywhere in the Black Hills, Custer State Park and the surrounding areas. We like to cook and grill for meals and found the utensils and cooking equipment to be complete and as good as at home. Relaxing under the covered porch with an adult beverage on those adirondack chairs (tilt & swivel) was a perfect way to end the day. Nearly a dozen deer came down each night at dusk and walked across the property. Even the neighbors were friendly. Beds were comfy, large closets, tv's, washer/dryer, nice towels, and a shower with good water pressure made the stay very enjoyable. Had to wash dishes by hand and the highway is a little noisy with the windows open but were not considered inconveniences during our stay. The hosts were always available but left us alone to enjoy our getaway. Overall, you will not be disappointed in this property, the location, or the Vrbo experience with these hosts. 9.5 out of 10... and we will be coming back."

With amazing views outside your door to enjoy with your family or friends having a late breakfast, barbequing or hiking in this lush place surrounded by a pine and aspen forest, this Majestic Retreat invites you to chill out, rest and meditate away from your busy life. If you are coming to embrace all the possible events, you will be less than 5 minutes from Deadwood and its steakhouses and main attractions, as well as other historic towns of the Northern part of the Black Hills area. We are only eighteen minutes from Sturgis and Spearfish towns, and 45 minutes from Mt Rushmore and all the Black Hills attractions. Also, you are just an hour and fifteen minutes away from Devils tower in WY.

On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a quiet place to finish your book or your personal project, this clean & quiet studio is the perfect place for you at any season. For winter lovers, this cozy and warm place is just 20 minutes away from Terry Peak and Spearfish Canyon where you can find great ski and snowboard amenities for families.

For your convenience, we are an hour from the Rapid City airport, from where you will be taking the I-90 all the way to exit 30. Take exit 30 for US-14A/Lazelle Street toward Deadwood/Lead. Continue on and enjoy the beautiful scenery on 14A for 9.9 miles towards Deadwood. Turn left on Mattson Lane gravel road and then after Whiskey Barrel Ranch main gate turn right on Majestic Heights road. Follow this road for a minute and it will take you to our Majestic Court Road, where our friendly bear will welcome you at the entrance. Continue on the gravel driveway where you will find a spacious place to park your vehicles.

AMENITIES
The Majestic Retreat Studio is suitable for four adults or a family of two adults with children. Our studio consists of a large open living area with a queen-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed, a wide screen TV, DVD player, videos, games and books for the avid reader. We can provide a single inflatable mattress for an extra guest for an additional fee.

The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a two-burner induction cooktop, toaster, coffee maker, a juicer, dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots and pans, basic utensils and condiments. The three-quarter bathroom includes fresh towels and toiletry essentials.

There is ample parking available for several vehicles or a vehicle with an attached trailer. Our gravel roads are well-maintained, but due to the gravel two-wheel road bikes are not recommended.

Guests will find the front entrance to the studio suitable for grilling or sitting down to enjoy the views. (Grill and lawn chairs are available upon request. There is $5 fee for the grill.)

Upon departure, we ask that guests wash their dishes, place sheets and pillowcases
in the laundry basket, and dispose of all garbage in the container placed near the entrance door.

We offer a quiet sanctuary, close to all the fun the western SD black hills has to offer. Our RURAL location provides breathtaking views of the black hills, wildlife, and amazing sunsets and sunrises with beautiful star filled night skies.

The space
This rustic cottage offers a nice king bed, double futon, single bed, single hideabed and ottoman convertible to a single floor mattress. All beds have freshly laundered bedding and extra blankets are included if needed. The pictures show everything you have access to.

The newly remodeled addition features your private restroom with a 4 foot shower and large vanity as well as kitchen with everything you'll need for a full meal.

Coffee, tea, breakfast items, snacks and toiletries provided.

Wifi is available in the entire listing and property.

The washer and dryer are in the main house and may be used on request to do laundry free of charge. Just let me know if and when you would like to use them.

We recently added a private patio with picnic table to the side of the guest house for private use.

The shared backyard and patio includes a propane fire pit. Donations are appreciated when it is used to help refill the propane especially as gas prices increase.

The barn/sheds onsite can be used to park vehicles in case of inclement weather on request.

Yard games, beach towels and floaties may be borrowed/rented on request.

Other things to note
I have 3 miniature dachshunds that live on the place with me and are usually contained to my fenced in front yard away from the cabin.

I have 2 barn cats Mr Kitty (grey) and Ms Kitty (orange) that have free run of the property and love greeting guests. They are well taken care of and spoiled. don't let them fool you they do not belong and are not allowed in the house.

Sometimes, I have horses and cattle on the place with me and ask any guests respect the animals when they are present.

The animals are all very friendly and love people, so if you enjoy animals this location will be a treat for you!

Petite Cabin 22 is exactly what it sounds like, PETITE! If you are looking for somewhere to just lay your heads at night but still have all the amenities of a larger cabin, then look no further! Petite Cabin 22 is equipped with 2 twin size beds. A dorm fridge, microwave, coffee pot (with condiments, coffee and cups), cable TV, pillows and air conditioning is also included. This cabin comes with professionally pressed linens and towels for a fresh, clean feel. You can also enjoy the weather and views from your own small front porch with bench. This cabin does not have a bathroom, but is located next to the private showers and bathrooms.

FYI...We do have a train that comes thru twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening. Some guests claim it a nuisance where as others never even hear it.
