Could not have been more satisfied. There is a small balcony. The only recommendation I would give is for the owners to replace the small balcony chairs. Really- just a beautiful charming spot."

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while driving across country. Ryan keeps his place extremely clean. It is great having everything from the driveway/parking area through the unit on one level. We appreciate the little extras Ryan provides such as labeling lamps wall switches, furnishing breakfast pastries and a selection of coffees, stocking disposable dishes and flatware. etc. As senior citizens with no cable or Sat TV, we were grateful that only one remote is used for the TV (plus the written instructions were helpful). Beds are both very comfortable as this place is quiet day and night. Deer and wild turkeys in the backyard was an enjoyable bonus. Main floor has 1 plush high quality queen bed & linens; table and chairs, 43" smart tv with blu-ray player & 50+ dvds. If you choose to bring your gaming system, an HDMI cord is provided. We also have a collection of books and board games if that is more your speed. Each cabin has a CELLULAR WIFI HOTSPOT, and excellent cell reception for Verizon customers. PLEASE NOTE: no cable or satellite available.

Also on the main floor, the full-size modern kitchen is equipped with utensils, dishes, and cookware. Bring your groceries and prepare your own meals. Some food items such as condiments and seasonings, a variety of teas/coffee/flavorings & creamers/apple cider/hot chocolate is provided. We also provide fresh eggs from our chickens.

The roomy 8' x 10' main floor bathroom is well lit and has a shower, sink and toilet. Also included are hair dryer, full length mirror, quality towels and common hotel amenities.

The 8' x16' loft has 2 queen mattresses on the floor. The head room of the loft goes from 4ft to 6ft in the peaked center. This area is the perfect space for children & teenagers!

The outdoor area has a large fire pit with seating, gas grill, picnic tables, and toys & yard games.

The cabins and site are clean and well maintained. The attentive hosts are friendly, hospitable and live on site to be available for your needs and questions.

The second bedroom has two beds, a double bed and a bunk bed, with a double bed on the bottom and twin on top. The second bathroom is located off of the family room.

The family room has two couches, one is a double sleeper sofa. There is a fireplace and a kitchen. The unit does have a stove and oven in it and there are plenty of options for cooking. The kitchen has a table, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, sink, and outside BBQ with a side burner. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, plates, pans and utensils for cooking if you want to cook in instead of eating out.

This home is your home for as long as you're here! Please be advised there WILL LIKELY be friendly, non-aggressive dogs present during your stay. While the studio is small (225 sq ft,) it is clean and cozy, and if anything is needed to make one's stay more comfortable, we will do what we can to accommodate requests.

This cozy studio apartment is located in a 4-plex a few blocks west of Historic West Boulevard, and is at the center of Rapid City, close to the hospital, downtown Rapid City, grocery stores and restaurants. If you enjoy working out, there are many gyms close by, including the YMCA and the Weight Room. The studio is also in a great location to take in all the beautiful sites you'll find in the area. The studio comes with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a full stand-up shower. The 43" smart TV makes streaming your favorite shows easy. While the studio is smalll (225 sq ft), it is clean and cozy, and if anything is needed to make your stay comfortable, we will do what we can to accommodate requests. At 225 sq. ft, one person is comfortable. Two people makes for a cozy stay! Full-size bed and enjoy free WiFi, too.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the studio apartment. There is a shared outside entry with one other unit in the 4-plex. There is free on street parking in front of the building. Your vehicle can be viewed from the large window in the studio.

Other things to note
This four-plex was originally a farmhouse built in the early 1900s and was later moved onto this location. While the unit has been updated, it still retains some of the original charm with its original wood floors. It's a great place to relax after a full day of exploring in the Hills.

Also, please note this is a SMALL studio with a full bed. It can accommodate 2 people, but it will be cozy.

High speed internet is included. Instructions for wireless internet are provided in the Air BnB app. There was a previous review stating wifi isn't included. This was from our first guest, and wifi is now available.

This is also a smoke-free unit, both inside and anywhere on the property. Pets are not allowed.

*****During the winter months, we have snow in South Dakota. There's on street parking for this unit, and there's a very small hill that you will walk up to get to the apartment. We do our best to make sure the sidewalk and steps are shoveled, but we are 25 minutes from town. There is also a shovel provided in the event of snow..*****

We have been working to update the 4 units, but they still have some quirks, like squeaky wood floors and original interior doors that don't necessarily close perfectly. The units are also cooled with Window AC units which are louder than Central Air. The 4-Plex is part of an area in West Boulevard that contains other older homes that have been converted to multi-family units. Please be aware of this when booking. While the majority of guests are fine with the location and uniqueness that come with an older home, some have given lower star ratings for the location, squeaky floors and interior doors. Even though it's centrally located with easy access to Mt. Rushmore and downtown Rapid City, it's still in an older part of Rapid City! Please reach out with any questions prior to booking.
