Whilst it doesn't have parking it is right across the road from the long stay car park which is only £8.50 for 24 hours. Lovely communal seating and breakfast areas. Completed in March 2020, Freeholders is a unique new property with far-reaching views. Living accommodation is on the first floor and has beautiful oak flooring throughout. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area has a wall of windows overlooking the creek. A large dining table, huge squishy sofa and well-equipped kitchen with a fully controllable Electrickit Aga, make this a comfortable and convivial space. The two bedrooms have kingsized beds and original features. The bedroom at the front of the house has a drop down window allowing guests to lounge in bed and admire the marshes. The first floor bathroom has a bath with shower and downstairs there is an additional shower room. A very special feature of this property is the secluded roof terrace with 360 degree views, furniture for lounging and dining, and a dumbwaiter to bring food and drink from the kitchen. There is a car parking space opposite the house.

A beautiful, spacious three storey character property enjoying sea and harbour views from the top floor. Hideaway House is a wonderful period Grade II listed semi-detached property, hidden away in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea on a quiet side road. It's just a stone's throw away from the delights of Wells quay and Staithe Street with its numerous shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. As the name suggests, Hideaway House is very much tucked away and is contemporary, yet comfortable with a seaside feel which you will all adore, whatever time of year you choose to visit. Facilities at Hideaway House are second to none, only the coffee maker failed to work but then again instant coffee is fine, (I think)! Beds were a generous size as were the wardrobes, fittings, pictures etc were all tasteful and the welcome pack was much appreciated. A superbly appointed, very special 17th Century 4 bedroom holiday home in the popular North Norfolk seaside town of Wells next Sea, winner of the UKs best beach 2016 in the Sunday times. The house is comfortable and stylish accommodation for ten+ and perfectly positioned for the quayside, shopping on Staithe street and gourmet meals on the historic Butlands. It is furnished and decorated throughout in a fresh, contemporary style, with a light and airy feel to all the rooms. Dogs very welcome.

We have lovingly renovated Bakers House to create a fabulous family home. The kitchen/dining/family room is perfect for socialising with friends and family - the glazed canopy roof above the dining room is a striking feature that floods the inner areas with light. A spacious open plan kitchen area with adjoining living room allows friends and family to spend quality time together while preparing meals. Children can play on the rocking horse with you while you cook ! The 4 bedrooms and 4 WC/shower rooms comfortably accommodate 10 guests. The outside seating area and garden is pretty and spacious and has parking for 3 cars. The house is perfectly positioned within the heart of the bustling coastal town of Wells-Next-the-Sea next to the picturesque quay, and numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. From the spacious bedrooms you can glimpse the sea beyond Holkham and the boats floating in the harbour where the children also fish for crabs. The house was originally built as 2 separate houses for 2 families and it is rumoured as many as 36 people used to live there. A fisherman’s grave stone in the Wells cemetery says he lived in the house in 1695. In the loft some of the old ships beams still have the rope tied round them that was used for the ships rigging 400 years ago. We have named it Bakers House because as recently as 1970 it was a Bakery selling their wares through the kitchen window. We only finished renovating the house in February and are offering introductory pricing for the remainder of the year.

- "The property was well laid out / modern and clean, it provided everything that three generations of our family and GSD required for a relaxing and enjoyable week. You can park the cars and not move them again until you leave. There are plenty of things to do and places to eat, there are excellent walks to the beach / woods or follow the track past the boat yard towards Holkham. The house is in the best position that we have stayed in Wells, especially for my father due to challenges with walking long distances, he was able to get to the harbour easily, sit at a local café and watch the world go by. A visit to Walsingham is a must to visit the Abbey and and especially our lady of Walsingham. We will certainly be back."

It must also be one of the closest houses to the beach with a pleasant walk through the nature reserve and pine forest (although that is still about a mile away due to the geography of Wells). It has only just been refurbished to a very high standard with top quality appliances, TV's and a Sonos sound system. Also a top level Nespresso machine. There is a lockable garage with bike rack where you can store wet paddle boards etc. Comfy beds, quality bedding, nice bathrooms, decent showers. You won't be disappointed and I suspect we might be back sometime."

If you want to walk further, you can walk along North Norfolk path and take the bus back to Wells.
From Wells, you can also take the steam railway to Walsingham, an interesting place to wander round with its Catholic and Church of England shrines.

Sonos has been installed in all of these areas. The open plan living area and the comfortable second sitting room have large bi-fold doors, allowing large sections of the house to be opened up to the outdoors. Particularly wonderful in the summer, when you wish to invite the good weather inside.

Outside hosts a well enclosed rear garden, perfect for containing little ones or dogs. A nicely planted border, a section of artificial grass and a patio area with accompanying barbecue, invite you to gather around the large dining table and comfortable seating. This is a great suntrap - just don't forget your sun cream! To the front is private parking and a small area that can be accessed via the bi-fold doors in the sitting room. Additional private parking for up to four cars has been provided on site.

The cabin is a light comfortable carefully designed and newly built Scandanavian style self-contained building with a complete kitchen, separate shower room and pull down Very comfortable Queen sized bed. It has a television with integral DvD player and heating under the wooden floor. Great Wi-fi.

The cabin is in my garden, with its own private outside area, and entrance and with private parking . It’s just one minute fom the quay It is central to the shops and restaurants and bars in lovely Wells. Twenty minutes walk to the beach and two minutes walk to the quay.
I make sure that essentials like tea and coffee are available. The bed is made up and there are lots of towels. Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid are also ready to go!
The kitchen is well equipped for two guests.
Two bikes are available for use - at your own risk. They’ve been overhauled this year. One sit up and beg - one road bike

I live in a dormer bungalow built from the bricks of an old windmill which used to exist in the the rear garden. The en-suite room is large with a king size bed, 2 tub chairs & a small table for working or eating at. There is a step up into the shower cubicle with a grab rail. The bedroom is on the ground floor at the front of the house.
If you are cycling then you can store your bike in the garage overnight.

Bree`s Cabin is a genuine Norwegian Log Cabin, that is set in its own private garden In an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is close to all amenity's and only a short walk from the famous Harbour with all of its pubs and restaurants. Here you can sit and watch the fishing boats arrive back with there daily catch, or take one of the many glorious walks that abound this area or have a ramble down to the fantastic local beaches.

The town and Quay with its range of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, are all within easy walking distance.

The room is well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge. We offer complementary teas, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk. You're welcome to bring your own cereal or light breakfast. Bowls and cutlery provided. There are two tables and armchairs in the room. Outside there are shared patio tables and chairs, parasol and garden benches. It's a stunning setting to enjoy the garden and church tower views. There is a Full HD Smart TV with catchup (Netflix available to log into if you have an account) and excellent WiFi. The ensuite is a shower room. The Guest Information book is packed with local info and leaflets on the many activities to do in the surrounding area. Our favourite is a walk to the pine woods and beach followed by Quayside fish and chips.

During your stay
Access to the room is via a key safe so you can check in anytime after 3pm. We live nearby and are usually on hand should you have any questions or need anything. Just call or text on the number provided. We value your privacy so the room is not serviced during your holiday unless requested for longer stays.
