Mariners’ Lodge is a spacious and modern three-bedroomed lodge with wrap-around private decking set in the grounds of an old manor house at St Minver Holiday Park, near Rock.
The lodge is situated in a quiet, corner plot which shows off the idyllic and picturesque area of the woodland park. It’s luxurious accommodation can sleep up to six guests in three bedrooms – master bedroom with queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom and wall-mounted TV, plus two twin bedrooms with an additional family bathroom. It has double glazing, central heating and a flame effect electric fire in the cosy open-plan lounge. There is a spacious family dining area equipped with all the appliances needed for easy meal times. The kitchen also includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer. To accommodate alfresco dining in the summer months, there is a good sized veranda adjoining the lodge with dining table and chairs and barbeque. There is private parking for two vehicles just outside the front of the lodge.

The park itself is in a rural setting and there are facilities such as a site-office, shop, launderette, swimming pool and sauna all within a few minutes walk (plus bar, restaurant and entertainment should you wish - including for younger children too. The lodge is also within easy cycling and walking distance of Rock, Padstow (via the short passenger ferry ride from Rock), Daymer and Polzeath beaches. Polzeath is a perfect beach if you are feeling adventurous and want to try your hand at surfing with surfing schools on the beach, which is patrolled by RNLI so it is safe for younger children along with rock pools where they can happily play. Daymer is a stunningly beautiful beach for walking and picnics - and the famous St Enodoc golf course adjoins it. Padstow is a great area for boat trips or fishing trips, shopping and of course to visit the famous Rick Stein eateries and join the Camel Valley cycle trail.

Not only are there gorgeous beaches but also some fantastic coastal/scenic walks and bicycle rides (including the mentioned Camel Trail which passes the Camel Valley vineyard - which is well worth a visit), together with some wonderful golf courses (The Point at Polzeath & St Enodoc, Rock) and relaxing spas like The Moritz Hotel Cowshed Spa.

In recent years, the Padstow and Rock area have become a food lover’s paradise welcoming guests to its many fabulous restaurants which are also closeby to Mariners’ Lodge. These include the Mariners pub (run by the renowned Paul Ainsworth) in Rock and also Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow. Nathan Outlaw’s restaurant can be found in Port Isaac, the area of which has become a visitors attraction since the filming of Doc Martin. Situated on Manor Park you are 10 mins walk from the beach, funfair and Hunstanton town but also have facilities onsite including indoor/outdoor swimming pools, play park, arcade and clubhouse perfect for family getaways.

For those rainy days we have a PS3 with a selection of games, DVD's, books, board games and magazines .
The space
The caravan was renovated in 2021 and provides a clean, fresh and modern accommodation.

The lounge has a large corner sofa with ample room to seat all guests and also a comfortable bucket chair near the gas fire a perfect spot for reading in this light and airy space.

For entertainment there is a 32" flatscreen smart television with access to freeview channels a DVD player with a selection of DVD's also we have a Playstation 3 with a selection of games and a DAB Radio.

We now have private Wi-Fi in the caravan.

On the book shelf you'll find a range of magazines and books to suit all ages.

In the games cupboard we have yet more things to do! Board games, Jenga, Cards etc.

The kitchen diner area has a fully equipped kitchen including a gas hob and oven, 4 slice toaster, electric kettle, microwave. fridge with freezer compartment, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, hoover, 4 seat table and chairs.

Hallway from kitchen leads to bathroom and double bedroom.

Double bedroom has built in wardrobes with hangers electric panel heater. Double duvet is supplied with 2 pillows.

Twin bedroom has two small single beds which can be put together to form a small double, a built in wardrobe with hangers and above bed storage, electric panel heater. 2 x single duvets and 2 x pillows.

Bathroom has standard size pan, sink and shower with a heated towel rail.

Outside steps down from the caravan to a slabbed area with seating and table for 4 and a grass area for parking for up to 3 cars or ball games!

We are located in a peaceful rural setting situated on the Devon/Cornwall border and are central to the popular tourist destinations such as Boscastle, Tintagel and the Eden project, not forgetting the stunning beaches and beauty spots, everything is accessible by car but you will need to factor this into your trips. Our closest towns (Holsworthy 10 mins & Bude 15 mins away) offer plenty of amenities such as pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and coffee shops.

The Space
You’ll have the whole space (11.5 acres) to yourselves and your friends or family making your trip extra special and unique!

You will have private car parking, enough for up to 4 vehicles and an EV charging point (additional charges apply).

You and your guests will be sleeping in the 17th century former barn and piggery with plenty of character to delight. The building has been spilt into three wonderful self contained cottages;
Ash: a 1 double bedroom cottage with shower room, lounge and kitchen.
Beech: a two bedroom cottage with 1 double room and 1 kids farm themed room with its own full sized tractor style bunk beds, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Oak: a 3 bedroom cottage sleeping 5 in one double room, one single room and one bunk bed room, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Each kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials including fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, oven etc.
Each cottage has its own real log burner, TV’s and DVD players. We supply blankets for snuggling during the colder nights and have loads of books, puzzles and games to keep kids occupied!
We provide fresh white linen and soft fluffy towels together with Faith in Nature body wash and Cole and Lewis shampoo and conditioner.
We tried to think of the basics you would need and made sure they were in the cottages so you’ll also find:

Outside
You and your guests will have the sole use of 11.5 acres which includes an orchard, lambing barn, children’s play area, recreational areas with bbq spots and picnic benches. There is fantastic woodland walk leading down to the river (excellent for little explorers) and over 400 yards of fishing rights along the river Tamar.
Relax with a book by the river bank, cuddle the sheep or try your hand at fishing, you might be able to catch some salmon or trout. Your choice, you’ll have the whole farm!

When you’ve explored the area and are ready for the next thing to do we have a heated outside pool (5 meters long and 1.1 meters deep) to splash around in plus 3 bubbly hot tubs (we offer you a choice of 1 or 2 and provide you with their location so you can decide which are suitable for you and your guests! Hot tubs are amazing a destressing and star gazing! We also have small individual Weber bbqs, a smoker and larger BBQ available on request.

We also have a large wood fired pizza oven and can supply you with sourdough pizza dough balls (additional charges apply) so you can whip up some delicious pizzas. If you would rather we made these for you please enquire when booking!
