Nestled in a valley, The Piggery has been renovated into guest accommodation. There is a kitchen, comfy double bed, bathroom with shower and a cosy wood burning stove. The river, with salmon and trout, is a haven for wildlife. Our home is a former water mill and smallholding of 5 acres and we keep Meg the dog, Tony the Shetland pony and a rooster with his chickens. The area is a listed site of natural beauty and a site of scientific interest. The views from the barn are wonderful.

The space
The Piggery was previously a derelict barn that we refurbished to live in whilst we rebuilt our house. The house and surrounding buildings are dated to before the Doomsday book and we have tried to keep the character whilst rebuilding. The property was a working watermill - milling grain up until the 1960s and was part of the Lamellen Estate. We are located in the Allen Valley with outstanding views of the fields and woods beyond. We are close to St. Tudy and St. Kew - two Villages with lovely pubs that serve fantastic food. The closest beaches are Port Isaac and Port Gaverne where the series Doc Martin was filmed and famous for the Fishermens Friends. Rock, Padstow and Polzeath are also close by. We are near to Haywood Farm where you can pick up some excellent local cider and also go on an orchard tour or partake in a Sunday Cider Social. Wadebridge is the nearest town (5 miles away) and you can take a bike ride down the Camel trail to Padstow from there. Also, the SW Coastal path is only a short drive away.

A self-contained secluded chalet style log cabin in the grounds of our house at the top of the Lickey Hills between Birmingham/Bromsgrove. Walk into the Lickey Hills Country Park. Easy access to Birmingham or Worcestershire/surrounding area. 3 rooms plus shower room and mezzanine ideal for a couple or family with up to 2 children(5yrs +) who want their own flexible space whilst staying in the area for pleasure or work. The cabin is well appointed and has a tv and good wifi. 2 adults maximum.

The space
This is a unique type of accommodation - surrounded by trees and private. A great place to unwind.
The cabin has 3 rooms plus shower room and mezzanine and is ideal for a couple, or a small family party. The kitchenette has everything you'll need to prepare and enjoy food. There's an electric combination oven/microwave, twin ring hob, fridge/freezer, and all utensils.
The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed so you're assured a sound nights sleep!
The third room doubles as a living and dining area. For the agile there's also a mezzanine area with further sleeping. The required number of beds for your party will be made up ready for guests with cotton linen and towels provided.
The layout is most suited to a couple or family with up to 2 children. The mezzanine sleeping is accessed by a ladder as shown in the photos-so is for the agile and responsible/can be safe going up and down a ladder.
There's a shower room with electric shower and toilet.
The cabin has it's own deck with room for outdoor dining or just to sit as the evening draws in. There is also a separate dining table and chairs with parasol and there is a gas barbecue for outdoor cooking if you wish.
You can heat the cabin to the temperature of your choice with the efficient air source heating and log effect electric fire - it is well insulated and suitable all year round.

The cabin is set at the bottom of a beautiful mature garden of around an acre, which you are welcome to enjoy - along with our resident ducks.
You are in a secluded spot with easy access to the Lickey Hills Country Park just over the lane.
There is ample parking and turning space.

A rural, cosy, detached historic barn conversion 20 minutes from Barnstaple, and 10 minutes from Exmoor National Park, next to our listed 16th century home and extensive gardens Arlington Court National trust property is within walking distance. The barn benefits from it's own central heating, double/ twin bedroom and bathroom, living room, private patio area and use of the securely fenced grounds. 1-2 well behaved dogs also welcome. Parking for 1 car. We offer a peaceful & restful break.

The space
Rosehill Barn - is set in the grounds of a medieval hall house surrounded by lovely gardens and an orchard and has a timeless, peaceful atmosphere; there is very little to disturb you other than birdsong and the mooing of cows in the surrounding fields.
The open plan living room has oak flooring and is furnished with a comfortable sofa and chair, TV and DVD player, a pretty dining table and a kitchenette with microwave, hob, fridge, toaster and kettle and sink.
The double bedroom has a large built in wardrobe, and the door opens out into the garden which contains many roses which give the barn its’ name.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, towels and a selection of Faith in Nature toiletries in refillable bottles (as part of our efforts to reduce plastic waste) will be provided upon arrival.
The barn benefits from its’ own central heating and hot water system.
We encourage guests to recycle, compost and use energy wisely.
Guests will notice we have a solar array in the orchard which contributes to our electricity demands.

Guests have a single dedicated parking space and access to the barn is through a courtyard in front of the main house. Guests at Rosehill Barn have the use of their own patio area and are welcome to explore our gardens and orchard which are fully fenced and ideal for dogs to roam in too. Garden furniture is provided, as is use of our BBQ.

North Devon is a beautiful part of the world and offers so much for visitors - sea, river, moorland, golf, sailing, cycling and of course beautiful rolling countryside including Exmoor National Park, National Trust properties and RHS Rosemoor and other beautiful gardens.
The area has many public footpaths and is within close walking distance of the Arlington Estate (National Trust). An OS map of the area is available in the barn and we're happy to recommend our favourite walks to you.
There’s a good choice of pubs (which you’ll need to drive to) and we can recommend some restaurants in the locality.

Our Georgian Manor House & Enchanted Gardens has the choice of 6 exquisite rooms which all include breakfast! Two with balconies. This booking is for one room. We are alongside a beautiful river, with willow trees. Opened in 1831 as a lavender farm, producing perfumes, who Dame Ellen Terry; a leading actress approved of! Queen Elizabeth stayed on occasions & we was a renowned coaching-house. Situated in 240 acres of countryside for tranquil walks & riverboat tours. Food cooked by professional chefs and drinks are available on the premises. Water sports facilities, nature reserve, restaurant, bar and boat trips all in very short walking distance.

Guest access
You are provided with a key to the separate part of the building which gives 24/7 access to the rooms available for guests. Key's are also issued for rooms as all en-suite bedrooms have their own door lock. Free parking in provided on the premises.

During your stay
Host is available 24/7 on the premises to help with any requests. Meals are available to order during stay. A choice of breakfast each morning is provided within the price.

There are quite a few stairs to access the property and a metal spiral staircase within the property.
