The studio is a private self-contained space on a quiet road in Whitstable, but only 10min walk to the high street and all its wonderful shops and eateries, and a 15min stroll from the beach. The Co-op is nearby for groceries. This is an ideal location for a seaside getaway.

The space
This is a light and bright but cosy studio flat, suitable for a solo traveller, couple or small family (travel cot and highchair are available on request). The studio contains the bed, small sofa, dining area and kitchenette all in one room, with a separate toilet and shower room.

The accommodation has a separate entrance to our home. Please be aware that we have a young family at home and we make use of our garden in good weather, which is adjacent to the studio.

Located in the conservation area of Herne Bay : ‘The Nook’, a small, original fisherman’s cottage from mid 1700s. A two minute walk to the seafront and many restaurants, pubs and cafes. There is a pretty private patio for outdoor dining. Whitstable and Canterbury are close by and easily reached by car or bus. Some people like to walk or cycle along the coastal path. It is very quiet and guests say they sleep really well! A very friendly, well behaved dog lives in the main house.

The Nook is charming and quirky, offering a mixture of romance, history and comfort. A lot of consideration and thought to guest's needs have gone into it.
A breakfast welcome basket is supplied, plus a bottle of wine, and dairy items in the fridge. Toiletries in the bathroom. Comfy bed and comfy sofa!

Access to the cottage is via the main house and guests are given keys to the house and are permitted to walk through. There is no curfew, guests can come and go as they please. The owners kitchen is not available to guests, there is a kitchenette in the cottage to prepare light meals. The patio is for guests private use during their stay. There is a washing machine in the main house if required and a tumble dryer plus drying racks.

There is no on-site parking. Parking on my street is restricted. There is free all day parking available just around the corner.

The cabin is made of wood, set in 12 acres of land. It has a decking area at the back of the property overlooking uninterrupted views of open farmland which is quiet and peaceful.
It’s a studio with a 5ft bed, kitchenette, shower room with WC.
Breakfast items are provided including Bread, pastries, butter, milk yogurt juice, jam, fruit, tea and coffee.

It’s a quiet location,
I have bantam chickens scratching about and roaming free.
Visiting doggies who are not used to seeing chickens roaming about should be on a lead from the car to the cabin.
I have two small dogs of my own who have free range of the farm. They are very friendly and love all guests and visiting dogs.

Our home and The Den are situated in a valley between Folkestone and Hawkinge and surrounded by country side views. we are just a 10 minute car journey from the Eurotunnel, 20 minutes from the port of Dover and 30mins from Canterbury and Ashford.
A 5 minute drive into Folkestone and you have Folkestone central train station with regular links to London.

The space
The Den was built in 2007 and is a stand alone cottage offering a warm and cosy stay.
Bedroom 1 has a superking size bed for your comfort, this can be separated into 2 singles if needed. There is storage and a single chair bed .
Bedroom 2 is just off bedroom 1 and can accommodate 2 in it's small double bed, this room also has storage for your clothes.
The kitchen is well equipped with all your essentials including an air fryer.
Bathroom has a good size shower, toilet and basin with storage underneath.
Lounge/living area is a comfortable space where you can chill out and watch TV.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We have owned and run the restaurant - The Three Compasses, for nearly 20 years now. Unfortunately we have retired from the restaurant . We do not allow takeaway meals to be consumed in the rooms. Full English breakfast is included but we ask for prior notice of special dietary requirements.

The space
There are two rooms available - a twin en suite and a double with its own bathroom. Both are on the top floor and are sea view. Towels and all the normal things are provided as is a full English breakfast. Guests must give us prior notice of special dietary requirements (vegan, gluten free etc) to avoid disappointment .
