This room has a queen bed. It is at the back of the house. We also have an adjacent bedroom with a double bed if you have kids or travelling companions which can be booked at a special price. It is immaculately clean with a comfortable mattress and high quality linen, electric blankets and a new carpet, no shoes please. The bathroom is shared with the family (although I, Peter am mostly here on my own) there is a full length mirror behind wardrobe door in Your room, the bathroom and toilet are all lockable from the inside.

The bedroom itself is medium sized but has a large ensuite. It is comfortable and accessed easily from the front door. We are a large home and so, apart from myself and my family, we also have a couple of friends staying with us and a constant flow of people coming and going in the house. There is life in our home! The kitchen, dining and living areas are shared with friends and other guests, but there is no obligation to be sociable and we respect your space and need to keep to yourself.

The space
Hebron House is in a quiet location with natural bush land on three sides. A variety of birds can be seen from the front decking. We have a number of garden spaces where guests can retreat to and relax. The property was built in 1958 as a small 3 bedroom house, but later extended by a Catholic Mission into it's current size. As such, it has a mixture of modern and old styles. We are in an ideal location; situated on the side of Mount Clarence, with easy access to the mountain trails and 15 minutes walk from either the centre of Albany or Middleton Beach. Our vision is for the home to become a place of rest and restoration.

There is shared access to the main kitchen, dining and other living areas of the house, plus outside verandah. You share the house with myself, family and other guests, but while you are with us, please make yourself at home. Unlimited Wifi is available to all guests.

If English isn't your first language, don't worry; the hosts have lived in Italy, Nepal and China and are able to communicate in all these languages (to varying levels!). I am also learning Hebrew. Regardless of language, we love to host people of different nationalities.

Albany is a port city in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, some 418 km SE of Perth, the state capital. As of 2009, Albany's population was estimated at 33,600, making it the 6th-largest city in the state.

The city centre is at the northern edge of Princess Royal Harbour, which is a part of King George Sound. The Central Business District is bounded by Mount Clarence to the east and Mount Melville to the west. The city is in the Local Government Area of the City of Albany.

Albany was founded in January 1827 as a military outpost of New South Wales as part of a plan to forestall French ambitions in the region. It is a very short stroll to the harbour, marina and Albany Entertainment Centre via the pedestrian bridge, and also literally a few minutes walk away from cafes, restaurants and bars, and shops and supermarket.

The cottage has steps down to the courtyard when entering the property from Cliff Street (see photos). There are 2 steps up to the bedsit when entering from the garage. This may be a concern if you have severe mobility problems. (hand rail on the steps to court yard, down from cliff street - not shown in photo, with handrail up to the studio from the garage, along the garden footpath).
Guests will have use of the courtyard for their pet. The property is secured, you will, however, be responsible for your pets safety.

During your stay
If you love a game of bridge, that can be arranged at the bridge club, just 500mtres away. If you wish for any information for your stay / visit to Albany, please don't hesitate to send me an email. A small cafe just a stroll down the hill provides a great breakfast - order prior to the walk, and it will be ready for you on arrival. Especially your coffee to have on the run.
I am one street from the Bibbulmun track. (Grey Street). Drop your packs off, then walk down to register or on your way home, pop in to the cottage to freshen up then head down to check in. I'm just a 15 min walk to the information center in town.

Other things to note
There are many facilities within a short walking distance for your enjoyment. A small bush park not 50 metres away for your dog to exercise. Bush walking for you, 100metres behind on Mount Melville, water 200metres in front for swimming, fishing and cafes. Do visit the ANZAC memorial now recognized as one of the bigger attractions in the state.

Our home is in easy walking distance to the main street of Albany and we provide a private upstairs space with a large bedroom with a king bed. There is a private bathroom with a bath, kitchenette and living area with a smart TV. The entrance through the downstairs laundry. There is well as off road parking in the carport. We live downstairs and are available to assist with helping make your stay in Albany as pleasurable as possible.

The space
Our home was originally built in about 1890 and consisted of 3 rooms and we have very recently restored this front section of the house to look more like the original cottage. We are opposite Foundation Park, which is where the British flag was first raised in Western Australia.
In 2016 we completed a new extension on the back to make the home modern and comfortable.
The upstairs area has 3 bedrooms (one of which Airbnb guests use), a lounge area and kitchenette.
The bedroom has hanging and drawer space. The bed can either be a king or 2 singles. It is a light airy room with windows that have views of Princess Royal Harbour.
Their is underfloor heating in the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom has a large bath and the shower is over the bath. This is also a very light airy room.
The loungeroom has a smart tv, lounge chairs and a small dining table. There is a dimplex heater for extra heating if required. The windows facing south have views of Princess Royal Harbour.
The kitchenette is suitable for preparing simple meals and has a sink, microwave, small fridge, toaster, electric kettle and a small convection hotplate. There is crockery and cutlery as well tea, instant coffee, milk, oil, salt and pepper. There is a plunger for coffee but we do not supply the coffee.

Parking is available in the carport at the rear of the property at the top of the driveway. Albany does not have a lot of public transport but there are taxis. We are very close to the centre of town which is in easy walking or bike riding distance.

The house has been fully renovated internally in 2017 with a few retro features. The living, dining kitchen is open plan with plenty of natural light. The large master bedroom has a modern ensuite. The sun room off the kitchen is nice place to read a book in the afternoon sun or sit on the classic old barstools and watch your partner cook up a storm.
