- "Love the family vibes." - "My ONLY complaint is that our stay was too short. This was our first time as a family to stay in the area and I couldn't believe the price when I saw the listing for a beachfront condo. Honestly, I was totally expecting to arrive to a subpar establishment, but boy was I wrong. It took us a minute to figure out where to park, but once we found the parking garage it was easy. Check in was quick, the staff that we encountered was all friendly. Even when we were taking our luggage back to the garage when leaving, one staff member rode the elevator with us to make sure we knew where we were going. The condo was very clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. The beach was very well maintained. We love to walk the beach at night and felt safe the entire time. Although our trip was planned pretty much last minute and short lived, everyone loved it. The shower head in the master bath could probably be replaced, as it was a little frustrating that it didn't spray direct, but it got the job done. It just took a little longer to shower. I'm not even complaining about that though. I'm just throwing that out there because it would be a cheap improvement that may keep someone else from complaining. Also, I would recommend the owners including the beach chair rental, even if it reflects in the booking price up front. Needless to say, we WILL be back and will definitely stay longer next time. "

You can checkout towels and body boards and they have a little shop with a cafe to purchase drinks and snacks. The gym had great machines and equipments options. The arcade was great to have on property for the rainy nights in with a hyper 9 year old. We can’t wait to visit again and again. I contacted management regarding the existing damages,and no propane for the grill and they were quick to respond. We stayed during off season so lots of things were closed. - "Beautiful view and amazing beach!" - "We liked our unit at Mistral. The location right on the Gulf of Mexico was beautiful. We enjoyed having our coffee on the balcony every morning. There were sometimes discrepancies between the guidebook we were sent digitally and the print book in the unit. The print book gave us one password for Wi-Fi, but another paper on the credenza gave a different password, which was the correct one. Just small stuff like that. Cell signal was not great. The kitchen was very nice, the bathroom was nice, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The carpeting was a little dingy, and the balcony door was very rusted and hard to slide back-and-forth. But overall the location was great and the oceanfront view was spectacular. We also appreciated that the unit had a red “sea turtl light instead of a porch light on the balcony."

We stayed from Monday through Saturday and they only provided one roll of tissue per bathroom. Otherwise the condo was beautiful. They were doing construction on the elevators and they looked rusty so night arrival was a little scary."

Gulf Highlands Beach Resort has:

ARRIVAL:
Guests must go directly to the front gate upon arrival. Please note: the security gates will not provide entry.

PARKING:
Gulf Highland units come with 1-2 assigned parking spots in front of the unit (studios only get one parking spot). The spaces are numbered; parking passes need to be displayed at all times. If you have an additional vehicle that requires overnight parking, head to the public lot off Churchwell, which is city owned and requires payment.

Parking passes are handed out at the security gate and are currently free. Guests can speak to the attendant when they arrive, show proof of the booking and they will give them a mirror hanger pass with the dates on it. If they arrive after hours or the security gate is not occupied, they can just ask for one when they see the guard the next day.

Street legal carts are not allowed in the complex. However, just outside the pedestrian gate on Front Beach Road, there is a rental place and if you rented a cart from them for consecutive days, you could park it at their location, which is an easy walk into the complex and back to the unit.

Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. And, if you need anything before, during or after your stay, our local team is ready to help!

Please be aware that there will be NO refunds for Wi-Fi issues as it’s not guaranteed. If reliable Wi-Fi is a must, you are welcome to bring your own internet hotspot.

With more than 125 retail, dining, and entertainment choices, Pier Park is a one-of-a-kind beachfront family-friendly attraction featuring island-inspired architecture and popular stores. Dillard’s, JCPenney, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Target, and Forever 21 are but a few. Dine at numerous eateries like Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Dick’s Last Resort, and Five Guys Burgers, or catch a show at the Grand IMAX Theater. 

Some “must see, must try” area attractions include Shipwreck Island Waterpark, putt-putt golf, go-carts, arcades, and bumper boats! Try Pirate's Plunge, Treetop Drop, or the Whiteknuckle Rapids. A trip to Shell Island is another fun family adventure, take a ferry or rent a boat. Interested in outdoor adventures? Ground floor unit! Relax and enjoy this quaint 1 bedroom. 1.5 bath condo directly across the street from the beautiful white beaches in Horizon South Resort! Queen bed plus queen pull out sofa and 2 bunks for kids! Amenities include 4 pools, one heated, hot tub, mini putt putt course, shuffle board, basketball court. This location is on the west end between Pier Park and Thomas Donuts! There is a $25 fee for parking and $20 fee per person for wristbands, over 6 years of age. No pets.

The space
This property isn't your normal rental! I also live in the property when it’s not rented, which means it comes with a fully equipped kitchen and extras! It’s located on the back of the building so there is little parking lot noise and more privacy! Sorry, our HOA doesn’t allow rentals to anyone under 25 yrs of age.

In addition to those amenities and the hours of entertainment in your own back yard, there is a walking path from the resort leading to the Shoppes at Edgewater with topnotch restaurants and entertainment venues such as FireFly, Dee's Hangout, American Charlie's, Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar, Rock'It Lanes bowling, Axe throwing, and Escape rooms! We are also just a mile from Shipwreck Island Water Park and less than a mile from Just Jump Trampoline Park, WonderWorks, Coconut Creek Family Fun Park and Ripley’s. Explore nearby attractions including Bayou on the Beach and Saltwater Grill. We are just 5 miles from Pier Park, with all of its fabulous shopping, dining and entertainment!

Gulf Highlands Beach Resort has:
Tennis, shuffleboard, pickleball courts, mini-golf, fitness room and 11 pools total, including 1 beachfront pool and 5 seasonally heated pools.

Private Beach Access: go to the end of W Leslie, Right on White Sandy, Left on Gulf Highland

ARRIVAL:
Guests must go directly to the front gate upon arrival. Please note: the security gates will not provide entry.

PARKING:
Gulf Highland units come with 1-2 assigned numbered parking spots in front of the unit (studios have only one parking spot). Parking passes need to be displayed at all times. If you have an additional vehicle that requires overnight parking, head to the public lot off Churchwell, which is city owned and requires payment.

Parking passes are handed out at the security gate and are currently free. Guests can speak to the attendant when they arrive, show proof of the booking and they will give them a mirror hanger pass with the dates on it. If they arrive after hours or the security gate is not occupied, they can just ask for one when they see the guard the next day.

Street legal carts are not allowed in the complex. However, just outside the pedestrian gate on Front Beach Road, there is a rental place and if you rented a cart from them for consecutive days, you could park it at their location, which is an easy walk into the complex and back to the unit.

Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. And, if you need anything before, during or after your stay, our local team is ready to help!

Please be aware that there will be NO refunds for Wi-Fi issues as it’s not guaranteed. If reliable Wi-Fi is a must, you are welcome to bring your own internet hotspot.

Non-negotiable rules: No Smoking or Vaping, No Pets, No Events or Parties, No Firearms. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am (unless posted signage indicates otherwise). If smoking is detected in the unit, a $500 fine will be assessed as we will have to cancel our next renter to get rid of the smell.
