Are you seeking an unforgettable mountain retreat that blends peace, nature, and convenience? Look no further. This 1970 Modern Mountain Chalet, located just 15–20 minutes east of Salt Lake City, is nestled in a stunning canyon with breathtaking views and an intimate connection to nature.
As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the soothing sounds of a river flowing gently through the front yard, passing under the driveway. Step out the back door, and you’ll discover a private entrance to a trail that stretches for miles into the scenic hillsides—perfect for hiking, mountain biking, or snowshoeing year-round.
Wildlife enthusiasts will love spotting the canyon’s residents, which include wild turkeys, moose, deer, river otters, coyotes, and even bobcats. For moments of peace, relax on the benches by the river, grill a seasonal feast with the propane BBQ, or stroll down the road to the natural spring to taste the purest water you’ve ever had.
This mountain escape offers fresh air above the inversion, bright, starry skies, and tranquility with few neighbors, all while keeping you close to everything. Enjoy nightlife and events in Salt Lake City or world-class skiing in Park City—both just minutes away.
The Space:
You’ll have access to the main part of the home, featuring warm, inviting interiors that blend comfort with mountain charm.
🛏️ Bedroom 1: KING BED (sleeps two)
Master on the top level! You have the dedicated workout and office area on this level too (see photos) but you also have the King Bed, with the comfortable mattress I have ever owned. This master has the attached bath with heated floors, two walk out deck/patios, 🛁 3 person Deep Soaking jetted Tub, double vanity and shower.
🛌 Bedroom 2: Queen Bed (sleeps two). This is the "dance room", which has the stripper pole for polishing your core strength and scratching that playful itch ;)
The Sealy inflatable bed it comfortable and practical, as its easy to move it when you are dancing. Theres a smart tv and colored lights and lights on dimmers with a purple tufted velvet bench/couch.
🛌 🧸 Bedroom 3: Queen (green room) This room is my little 12 year old daughters room that i have only 40% of the time and rent this house when i don't have her, or when we travel. If you are coming and don't need one bedroom, let me know and this is the room we would lock and not worry about providing to you. Still, its available if needed and while it wont be perfect, we will tidy it up and have an area for some of your things to be able to fit in a closet in here if needed.
🚗 Garage is shared, giving you a dedicated space for your vehicle. I’ll handle snow removal for the driveway and decks, ensuring your stay is stress-free.
Additional Details:
• I live on-site in a private lower-level suite with a separate entrance, so while you may notice my presence, I’m happy to respect your privacy. I’m available for a friendly hello or to share a meal if you’re interested, but I’ll follow your lead.
• This is my personal sanctuary, and my belongings may remain in the space during your stay. However, you’ll find all the essentials you need, including access to groceries in a pinch (just replace what you use before departure).
• The energy of this home is palpable—it’s a space that offers peace, inspiration, and a true connection to the natural world.

Guest access
You have the entire home for your use with exception of the on-site maintenance person/owners quarters (which I may be in during your stay but i don't rent it to any separate renters). My space has its own private direct entrance and does not share any space with the larger home.
You have access to the right hand-side of the garage, the left side must remain clear as the owner may park there and needs access to the 4-wheeler/snow plow to keep up on the snow removal as best as possible.
The garage is the only area that would be considered "shared".
Other things to note
It snows up here. Sometimes ALOT.
You can park the first vehicle off street and in the garage. There is room for another two cars on the driveway, but it may be necessary to move them out of the way for a bit while snow removal is being performed and the owner will message you to coordinate this as needed.
The drive up the canyon is generally very well plowed, as the city maintains this roads very well year round. Please be aware that sometimes the roads can get slippy still, so take it slow.
Please watch your children and ensure they are safe as there is a icy river right on the property. There are many stairs and some larger windows which have considerable fall heights.
Owner has a very low maintenance Siamese Dwarf Cat, which is the resident "Mouser". "Sushi", is magical but and she will be in the owners quarters during your stay.
*** 3/28/2025 through 4/1/2025… “sushi” the cat, will be left at home when I traveled so please be aware you will have a single cute cat in the home and will need to ensure she doesn’t get outside. 🙏 ***
She has her own access to the utility room area, which has her robot kitty litter box or robot water, fountain, and food area so you do not need to take care of her at all, but if she approaches you, you’re welcome to pet her and give her love. She’s quite magical!
Also, please be aware that if you’re coming during the winter or a transition timeframe between fall to winter or from winter to spring, there is a chance that the outdoor patio furniture will not be available for your use as I do not bring it out until I am confident that the snow and heavy rain Has taken its course. It is quite a task to set up the furniture and store it away and is even more of an issue when I have to do snow removal around furniture that is on the patio patios and decks.

Although this property started as a main house with separate guest house, we have since renovated it to be one large home with the guest home being accessible from within the main home. This benefits larger groups by giving more privacy and room to relax while still having the option to be close to those you are traveling with.
Guests are required to buy a property damage insurance for $79.00 .
The space
11,000 square foot home with private driveway on a private lane, private Hot tub, private entry and of course private living area. Guests have full access to the large two acres wooded property, pavilion and BBQ area.
