When there is a storm, guests need to be prepared for the house's service garage to be opened and for snow blower noise and some other snow removal work noise. Snow removal may take place at night with lights. During winter conditions, guests are encouraged to use vehicles that are effective in snow.

We all loved the location as it feels very private which we valued when going outside to see the beautiful morning view of the mountains! The beds were comfortable & the inside was warm. We didn’t get a chance to cook in the kitchen but I did notice I couldn’t find a garbage can. It was fine though as we had trash bags of our own. Kitchen is on the smaller size and older. So if you plan to cook up a feast here this place may not be for you. But that is not what this lodge is about. It is about the grandeur of living in nature, amongst bustling trees, with the sound of a busy river running right by and as you look up you stare in to the beautiful mountains or on a clear night a starry sky."

As we entered, we were struck by how light and beautifully and thoughtfully laid out the cabin was. The floors and walls were all newly finished in light pine. The kitchen was new and open and stocked with all the dishes and kitchen accoutrements you could ever want. The cabin was big enough to sleep all of us comfortably. Each bedroom had crisp clean linens and new comfortable beds. The family gathered in the great room with big picture frame windows. The room was so inviting, warmed by central heat and also a cozy gas stove. Up in the spacious loft, we watched movies while the kids played in the wonderful children's corner stocked with a children's kitchen, blocks, and lots of toys. The master study has a queen pull-out bed with flat screen TV, DVD/blue-ray player and gas-burning fireplace. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and in suite toilet, sink and connected to steam shower. It also has an automatic gas-burning fireplace, leather couch, mountain views and a grand piano. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen with extra-large industrial refrigerator, stand-up freezer, ample pantry space, two Bosch dishwashers, two Wolff ovens, 6 burner stove, large built-in griddle, marble countertops, coffee maker, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, and dining flatware for about 20. The family room has couches and armchairs, seating good for about 20 guests. There's also a high chair and Pack N Play for your little one. There’s also a drop-down projector screen, DVD/blue-ray player and automatic gas fireplace. There is a large automatic screen and projector in main room for watching movies. There are room air conditioners in bedrooms if needed. The owners had lived in the home for 20 years and have never used them. There's a washer, dryer, iron/ironing board, and hair dryer. For your safety, there's a fire extinguisher, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors.

You don’t have to go far to have fun activities great for family and friends. There’s a heated indoor pool and spa/hot tub; luxury steam shower and treadmill located in the pool room; indoor racquetball court with racquets, racquetballs and various other play toys provided; billiard table; board games, air hockey, well-stocked library; and smaller, more intimate theater room in basement with big-screen TV and DVD player. Roku is also available. The garage fits 7 cars and there's plenty of outside parking.

You will also enjoy being outside of the home. There’s about half an acre of winding grassy area throughout the property with incredible open panoramic views of the mountainsides and peaks. There are three flowing waterfalls emptying into soothing ponds. The home has some frequent wildlife sightings as well. There’s a wide patio area for outdoor dining. Patio furniture offers dining for about 25 guests. The spacious covered patio has wood-burning fireplace and large propane grill. It is very cool in the house. There’s also an in-ground trampoline and swing.

There are great activities you can do around the area year-round. Water activities includes fishing in Wasatch State Park Fishing Pond, Deer Creek Reservoir, Jordanelle Reservoir, and Provo River. You can also float on inner tubes or fish anywhere along the Provo River. You can also go swimming at the hot springs called The Crater which is about 4 miles away. Outdoor Farmer’s Markets include Heber Valley Farmers Market/Concert in the Park, Park Silly Sunday Market, and Park City Farmer’s Market. Sundance Resort which is about 20 miles away offer outdoor live theater and horseback riding. Watch rodeos at Wasatch County Fair Days and Oakley Rodeo. Heber Valley Railroad, the “Heber Creeper,” offers year-round attractions including the “Polar Express” rides during winter months. There’s zip line, bobsled rides, ropes courses and alpine slide at the Park City Activities and Olympic Park. Golfers can play at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course (4 miles away), Crater Springs Golf Course (3.7 miles away), and Soldier Hollow: Gold and Silver Golf Courses (9 miles away). There are many trails in the mountains immediately surrounding the home. For a leisurely walk, take an easy stroll up the driveway and along the dirt road for a beautiful lookout of the canyon and Heber Valley. The more adventurous hiker can hike up and over the mountain (west of the home) and drop down into the canyons of the Wasatch Front. The renowned Timpanogas Cave is 30-40 miles from the home and offers a unique geological experience for hikers of all levels. Enjoy exploring!

During the winter, enjoy outdoor skating and ice castles in Midway. Temple Square also showcases beautiful Christmas lights. Go skiing or snowboarding in Alta, Deer Valley, Soldier Hollow, Brighton, Park City, Solitude, Canyons, Snowbird, and Sundance. Sledding is great at Soldier Hollow and Gorogoza Park. Be here for the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Other things to note
Vivian Park where the cabin is located is an State Environmentally Protected Area. There is no dishwasher. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook meals but many guests prefer to bring paper goods. Diapers, wipes, feminine products are not permitted in the toilets. Vivian Park is a subdivision begun in the 1940's. It is a tight knit community where neighbors watch out for each other. You will have neighbors so please comply with the noise curfew between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. We have Roku TV

- "My girlfriends and I stayed at this lovely home for a girls ski weekend to Alta Ski Area. The house is about 30 minute drive from Alta and close to everything including lots of good restaurants and ski rentals. It is rare to find a house with 5 bedrooms with king size beds and we loved having so much space to spread out. There is a long driveway with lots of space for parking, which was great since we had two vehicles. The home owners were very responsive , which we truly appreciated. It is a great house for groups. The house has lots of bathrooms but please note that one of the two bedrooms in the basement does not have an unsuite bathroom and that bathroom is located in the hallway. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and two in the basement. There is a full bathroom on the main level. All of the bedrooms are large. In case this is important to any renters, please note that the only TV is on the main level in the family/living room. It is huge and worked for our group, but worth noting. Lastly, if you have a large party, there are not a lot of glassware available so keep that in mind. "

My fantastic 1970s mountain home has plenty of room so I’m sharing my 2017 Airstream Basecamp set up with water and power. It is parked Riverfront so you can hear the water and energize from busy city life. It has electricity, fast Wi-Fi, heat, and cooling gorgeous window views, and dedicated offstreet parking next to the Airstream. You have your own little mini porch next to the River as well!

From here you can walk up into the mountains through my private access through my back of my property as you can see in the cover photo! Or you can walk to popular Killian Canyon Trail, right from the Airstream door.

Right down the road you can also go and fill up your water bottle in the Henderson Spring!

This will be a unique experience that you won’t forget! I live in the mountain home adjacent from the Airstream, but I’m very busy with my real estate company and you may or may not see me much. I will be friendly and say hello but I will give you your space as well! The Airstream is stocked with basic cooking Supplies just to prepare a light meal. There’s even a microwave.

Sit out on the bistro table and chairs in front and just breathe in the fresh mountain air and don’t forget to look up at night because the stars are bright as we are away from the inversion and the light pollution.

The holding tank that holds the water is very small and when it’s full, I have to hook up the trailer and tow it away to go empty it before bringing it back and setting it up again. Therefore, I ask that you are extremely conservative on your water consumption. Even though we have unlimited supply of water coming into the trailer that is fresh and drinkable once it goes down the drain or the toilet it goes into a holding tank and I do not have full hook ups so I must Tee the holding tank elsewhere. This is why I only allow short and I have conversations with my guests to make sure that they are extremely conservative on how much water goes down the drain throughout their stay.

If you have needs to do laundry or take a longer shower, talk with me and depending on when you’re here, I might give you access to my house bathroom and washer dryer.

Little Dell Reservoir is six minutes away from here and I have kayaks and I might be able to arrange for you to take the kayaks on the water at your own risk.

You’re welcome to use the Airstream the parking around it. Enjoy the river out front of it and you can even go down on the side over in front of my house where my barbecue grill is and grill food down by the river and little magical waterfall area.

This is a perfect Basecamp if you’re here to explore. The Canyon is a very popular canyon for biking and running, and you will see people riding their bikes up the canyon.

I don’t have a TV inside the airstream. It’s a small space and generally, I want to encourage people to disconnect from electronics. However, you can connect connect to my Wi-Fi from the Airstream and it’s reliable and fast and I have set up there and streamed music or Netflix.

Provo, Utah, is also within reach, only 33 minutes away.

During your stay, you'll have access to your private room(s) and the shared bathroom. Feel free to relax on the large front porch or take a stroll in the beautiful neighborhood. Please note that we don't have kitchen facilities or laundry onsite, but a laundromat is conveniently located nearby.

Located just 8 minutes away from Snowbird/Alta this is a skiers dream! During the summer and fall months, we have world class rock climbing all around us, as well as hiking and biking trails for beginners to advanced bikers.

The space
Private room for rent in Sandy, Utah located just 5.5 miles from Snowbird and 7 miles from Alta. Located just half a mile up Little Cottonwood Canyon. Beautiful surroundings in a very quaint location. We are up the canyon so that means tall and beautiful mountains in the front and backyard. This is as close to the ski resorts as you can get without actually staying at the resort and paying resort prices.
On pow days there is usually a long line that stretches for about a mile but when you stay at our house, leaving in the morning is great because you can pull out in the front of the line to get up the canyon! NO TRAFFIC! You get to sleep in AND no waiting, its great! Very quiet location.
Includes access to two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. You are welcome to cook and use the pots, pans and dishes any time. We have two fridges with plenty of space. We live in the home so it's family style.
Free parking right in front of the house. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT OUR GUESTS HAVE A CAR. It is possible to stay here and use Uber but you usually end up paying the same amount for much less freedom. We also recommend 4X4 if you are staying during the winter. You never know when it will snow and how much. The home has four bedrooms total. We rent three of them, and share bathrooms. This room has a king-size bed.
There are grocery stores about 5-10 minutes down the road. Smith's is the closest.
The new wifi works great, with speeds upwards of 50 mbps! Location is a skier's dream, but you don't need to ski to stay here.
Often guests ask if they need a car with 4-wheel drive or chains. It really depends on the snow conditions. Most of our guests have 4-wheel drive, as they know they will be driving up the canyon. However our road is always plowed and we rarely have anyone get stuck. We own a car that doesn't have 4-wheel drive and it gets by just fine. Jan-March are the snowiest months.
We don't own any pets and don't allow any pets. Sorry to all the animal lovers. We technically live in a watershed area so pets aren't allowed.
If this room is not available for the dates you would like, then please check the other two rooms we rent from the same location! The room for which you submit the reservation request is the room that we will be able to approve. Airbnb doesn't give us an option to switch you. So please make sure you send the request for the right room. :) This is for the room with the king bed. We also don't mind what time you arrive. We understand that often planes land late. If we go to bed then we will leave the door open for you!

The apartment is part of a home, but the layout and soundproofing create a private guest experience. The respectful host lives above and is happy to assist while prioritizing your space and privacy.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire basement apartment you’ll have your private entrance and it’s not shared with anyone. You’ll have access to the bathroom attached and have your own unit laundry.

Other things to note
I have a resident kitty cat, a Siamese cat named sushi and she is responsible to keep the mice away! Lots of mice up here! She is not allowed in the lower apartment level you are staying in. Keep in mind in the mountains there’s lots of bugs. I have professional pest control services with human and pet friendly chemicals but if you sight bugs from time to time, it’s just part of the experience and it doesn’t mean that it’s not clean. Make sure to keep the screen door closed at all times and that will prevent bugs from coming inside. It’s definitely not out of hand, but I wanted to make sure to disclose that aspect of living in the mountains! Please let me know if you need anything and I’m happy to help.

If you are traveling with a dog, I am pet friendly however I do not allow pets on furniture and you’re promising to leave. No sign that there was an animal on site. This means that you must use whatever means necessary to remove any animal hair and Clean Up after your pet outside. I provide you with a nice vacuum, a broom and a dustpan as well as some lint rollers.

Your creekside home--cozy and a bit retro (think going to your grandma's home)--is nestled in the mountains in a secluded residential neighborhood, away from the city. Located in scenic Provo Canyon. You are 6 minutes to Sundance, 13 minutes to Provo, and 44 minutes to Park City. Dogs welcome! We have a fully-fenced yard.

The space
Mountain Brook Retreat is perfect for those who are searching for a peace-filled alpine experience.

You have a large family room with a wood burning fireplace and dining for eight, along with overstuffed armchairs and couch. Lots of room for games, and relaxing--and the fun includes a 1938 Schiller spinet piano.

You have CenturyLink 40Mbps Internet, with wifi and an ethernet cable for connecting directly to the modem.

Do be aware that there is no air conditioning. It may seem counterintuitive, but during the summer the home stays cool if you leave the windows closed during the day and use the fans that are in each room.

This retreat is dog-friendly, with a fully-gated yard. It's a quiet neighborhood with neighbors nearby, so we ask that your dog not bark when outside.

Go hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and then take a 4-minute walk to the Provo River for fly fishing and rafting.

You have easy access to water skiing during the summer and ice fishing during the winter on Deer Creek Reservoir. And The Homestead Crater in the town of Midway offers 96-degree scuba diving.

Finish off your day at your home, toasting marshmallows at the outdoor fireplace, barbecuing on the gas grill, and listening to the babbling brook.

We provide you with enough firewood for your first night's stay. For an additional fee, you can contact us a week before your stay and we'll arrange to have firewood delivered the day you arrive.

Guest access
The entire property is yours to enjoy. This is an HOA neighborhood. There is no parking on the streets and, consequently, no events on the property. All cars must be parked within the fenced yard--a total of three cars can be accommodated.

Other things to note
We keep the cupboards stocked with breakfast items like pancake mix and syrup. And there are some dinner items like rice, beans, pasta and spaghetti sauce--things to tide you over until you get to one of the nearby grocery stores.

We provide you with enough firewood for your first night's stay. For an additional fee, you can contact us a week before your stay and we'll arrange to have firewood delivered the day you arrive.

As noted in the listing, there is not an air conditioning system in the home. During the hottest days of summer, it can get warm in the house. The evenings are always cool and folks sleep with the windows open to assure a breeze through the house. There are fans in every room.
