This Log Cabin has a open floor plan and large windows to view wildlife. There are two separate sleeping quarters, one in the loft, the other is on the main level. This cabin is most comfortable for a small family or two couples, but can sleep up to 6 people with need sharing including a queen air mattress upon request. There is both a cozy pellet stove and a wood fire place, and spacious outside deck. It is tucked in an aspen grove so plenty of wildlife can be viewed walking around the full acre property. The cabin is near recreation areas for fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, off roading, geocaching, historical and scenic treasures. We fished at the lakes and caught fish, we actually spent the day at the lower Flint lake (the 1st one you come to on the road) and were completely alone all day so our dogs got to enjoy the water without disrupting others vacation. We ate at the Arrowhead Lodge one day, Pam was an AMAZING Host. She made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions about the area. There is a huge construction project on HWY 50 which restricted our travel. However on our 2nd day they opened up travel south on HWY 50 to Arrowhead guests and owners to once an hour which was very helpful. Our flagger Sharon was a hoot and had a lot of knowledge about the area as well. We did not want to come home. 7 nights past by so quickly. If you are thinking about a quiet vacation with no interruptions book here! I promise you will not find a better place."

The fenced "courtyard" outside our room was nice, overlooking the Gunnison River. (only suggestion would be to add a screen door to let in fresh air.) We walked along the river at dusk our 2nd night, following the solar stakes. Very peaceful and beautiful. Only other missing thing was the office people. Our Yurt is a perfect winter sojourn. We are in a finite zone where the high deserts soar up into the Rocky Mountains. Thus, the wonderful small town of Paonia is temperate in winter, with access to the best winter sporting one direction and calming desert in the other.
In Southwest Colorado 2 miles west of Paonia, is a Yurt nestled on a large wrap around redwood deck anchored by two mature Elms and is wonderful year round . and The building is situated in close proximity to the North Fork of the Gunnison River. The Yurt is a sanctuary far removed from neighbors and below the sight-line and activity of Highway 133.The property meanders above and below the Yurt for a quarter of a mile along the river’s edge. There are established wildlife corridors for Elk and Deer. Eagles, Red Tailed Hawks, and Blue Herons nest on the property or directly across the river. Robins routinely inhabit the trees directly above the sheltering Yurt.
When entering the 700 square foot Yurt, a 14’ high skylight inset in a mad array of knotty Aspen, draws you to its center. Here the fireplace anchors the middle and the remaining amenities unwind to the outside of the circumference. Here there is full ADA kitchen and ADA bathroom, queen size bed, dining table, and sitting area. The surrounding river, mountains and cultivated farmland can be viewed ten different ways through 8 windows and 2 French doors. Think of a random compass point and there you will find a window framing your gaze. There is an openness seldom seen in standard structures. After rubbernecking for a while, your first coherent thought is, ‘I can relax here’. And the reality is, you can.

Please be advised that during these heavy snowfall months, you will need to make arrangements for snowmobile or side by side travel to and from the cabin to the winter parking lot where you must park your vehicle during your stay. The winter parking lot is located at the top of the Alpine Plateau Road.

This beautiful cedar cabin is located on a one acre wooded lot in Arrowhead Subdivision in the heart of the San Juan Mountain Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 9300 feet. All utilities are underground so none of the fantastic views are marred by power lines. The home rests in a clearing at the center of the lot in order to maximize views. The rest of the property is set in a combination of majestic dark timber and quaking aspen.

There are two Master Suites, each with attached full bath.

The completely furnished kitchen and dining room includes pots, pans, standard small appliances and table service for eight. All bed and bath linens are provided, so just bring your groceries and personal care items, such as bath soap and shampoo, to complete your home-away-from-home experience!

Beds are wonderfully comfy and each queen-sized master suite is separated from the other, providing both privacy and an enhanced sense of solitude for our guests. There are also 2 queen-sized beds in the spacious loft with great views of the San Juan Mountains, so the cabin comfortably sleeps 8 guests.

The fireplace in the great room adds both warmth and gracious ambiance. Prop your feet up in the lazy boy chairs and just let your cares melt away. Games and a full library of great books are available to enjoy. There is a smart TV in the great room. Simply sign in to your personal account to access any streaming apps to which you are subscribed. There is also a DVD player available if you wish to bring a favorite movie from home. WI-FI is available also!

Large decks grace the front and back of this home, An outdoor barbecue and dining table are ready for your picnic meals. Please remember to purchase propane for the grill as we are unable to provide it locally.

Great hiking, biking, ATV-ing adventures start right outside the front door. Our guests are provided with a fishing pass for the lakes in the development. Contact Security to have your pass issued. Wildlife is abundant in this rural development. Keep your eyes peeled for elk, deer and birds!

Boat owners can fish Blue Mesa Reservoir (12 miles away) or Silver Jack Reservoir (25 miles away) and bank fishing at both locations is also available.

Don't forget to visit The Arrowhead Mountain Lodge during your stay. The charming decor and meals for those days when you don't feel like cooking are a real treat and the Lodge is right in the neighborhood!

- "The cabin was very nice, well designed and quiet. Very spacious and had every amenity that we needed. Two things to keep in mind about this place are the showers/bathtubs are above average in height. I'm fairly mobile and it took some care to get in and out. Someone with mobility restrictions might struggle with safely entering and exiting the shower. The other thing to consider is getting to the cabin from Hwy 50 is the most convenient option. We came in about 7:45 and found out Hwy 50 closed at 7:00. We had to bribe the highway crew (literally with money) to allow us to travel the 3.5 miles down the closed road or be forced to find an alternative route. With a 20' trailer behind me, I would have found out the hard way in the dark that CR 867 would have been a very bad choice. It is a very pretty drive down to Lake City that way, but the last 3 or so miles have switchbacks that I would most likely not have made with my trailer. The cabin was very nice and as advertised. The only issue was the road closure that worked out eventually, but it could have been disastrous if they didn't let us through. If the road construction and closure would have been communicated to us, we would have been there earlier. Other than that, it is in a very pretty area with lots of mule deer roaming early and late in the day."

The Ranch
Welcome to our "Home on the Range" overlooking the majestic San Juan and Cimarron mountains. At nearly 8,000 feet atop Log Hill mesa, this mountain retreat offers the most spectacular views the western slope of Colorado has to offer. Perfectly situated between Ouray (30 minutes), Ridgway (20 minutes) and Telluride (1 hour), enjoy 35 private and wooded acres of hike, mountain bike, horse, snowmobile, cross country ski and snowshoe trails right outside your doorstep. Explore the fun shops and jeep tours in Ouray, the delicious restaurants and farmers market in Ridgway, and the slopes of Telluride.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a resident barn cat that lives on the property. She is very friendly and loves people. As this is her home, we are not able to put her away or remove her from the area as she relies on being outside for food and water sources. If anyone has a cat allergy or cannot be around cats, please take this into consideration before booking.

The Space
The house, detailed in beautiful, reclaimed barn wood, has three levels offering one bedroom with a queen bed and full bath on the main floor. The second floor has two bedrooms both with queen beds and balconies and a full bath to share. The 900 square foot basement has a large bedroom with a king bed, full bath, small kitchen, built in bunks (recommended for 16 and under), mud room and a cozy living room perfect for movie nights. The main floor family room offers plenty of natural light with a spacious kitchen and dining table for eight, comfy leather sofa and chairs by the fireplace and a wall of windows to enjoy the inspiring scenery. Step outside on the deck and relax into the tranquil surroundings - be sure to watch for the alpenglow and millions of stars at night.

- "The cabin and property were beautiful. Well maintained and clean. The barn cat on the property was a great hunter and we enjoyed having Barney the barn cat to greet us when we arrived at the property. Nikki was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The only thing that I would change about the cabin is the addition of air-conditioning... The cabin got very hot during the day and took a long time to cool off in the evening. The master bedroom window wouldn't open so it was very stuffy in that room. But we made due with the fans that were provided to stay cool during our stay. This would not deter us from staying again. We very much enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave."

Things to know: We are not ADA compliant. We have taken steps to accommodate a wheelchair traveler and recommend there is also a companion for assistance. This cabin has a ramp and larger bathroom. There are also limitations for accessibility and I am happy to answer specific questions before you make your reservation.
The cabin is about 1 mile off Alpine Plateau Road and 6.5 miles off Highway 50.

Spring/Summer and early Fall:
Guests enjoy fishing at private mountain ponds, abundant scenery with nearby COBDR trails, ATV routes, hiking, and biking trails. Since the lakes are private property you will not need a Colorado fishing license. Guests will also enjoy wildlife viewing and stargazing next to the fire pit or on the large deck.

On Saturdays during the Summer there is live music at the restaurant which also offers great food. Hours fluctuate depending on time of year.

Winter:
Winter is very special at Arrowhead as the internal community roads close to vehicles once there’s adequate snow. This is typically 12/1 - 4/15 and depends on the weather. Internal cabin community roads are open only to snow machines, x-country skis, snowshoes and foot travel. Inquire before booking. When the internal community roads close, guests will park in the Winter parking lot and use your snowmobile, skis or snowshoes to scoot to the cabin. The cabin is about 1 mile (approx. 30 minutes to snowshoe) from the winter parking lot. The internal roads and winter parking lot are typically groomed but often covered with fresh powder snow. We recommend at least AWD in the winter parking lot due to snowy conditions.

Cell phone coverage is spotty at best. AT&T seems to work some, especially from the south west corner of the deck.... but hey aren't you looking forward to getting away from all that! We do have a land line at the cabin for safety.

- "If you want a property with an incredible view and remote location in the San Juan Mountains, this is it. Arrowhead Mountain development is halfway between Montrose and Gunnison on the flanks of Uncompahgre Peak. Deer and elk abound in the open sage meadow / aspen / spruce evergreen forests around the property. There are also two lake locations where kids can fish. The house itself is exceptionally well preserved and was extremely clean. The kitchen is fully appointed so you do not have to go out at all. The four bedrooms are comfortable and the house is designed for a charming cross breeze. The patio overlooking the view is also lovely! We hope to return."

Cozy, log cabin situated at 9,500 feet elevation surrounded by aspen and pine trees. If you love the outdoors or just want to get away from it all, this is the place to consider. You'll enjoy having your early morning coffee outdoors and will probably be greeted by the neighborhood deer, snowshoe rabbits, and other wildlife, including an occasional bear. There is outdoor log furniture and chairs for lounging and the spacious redwood deck has two tables for ample seating. For easy grilling there is a Weber gas grill and the kitchen was just remodeled and is a chef's delight. Ample dishes & cooking ware, spices, new appliances. There is also a restaurant & lounge with a friendly staff which is located approximately one mile from the cabin. We are located in Arrowhead Ranch Mountain Subdivision - is somewhat off the beaten path but has well maintained roads and offers the peace and solitude that we all long for. There are 3 private lakes in the subdivision, hiking, walking, four wheeling, fishing, mountain biking, sightseeing. Blue Mesa Reservoir is approximately 15 miles away, the breathtaking Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument is 28 miles away. There are airports in Gunnison and Montrose which are approximately 40 miles each way.

This beautiful ranch style log cabin has an open floor plan. Each room has large windows for viewing the forest and wildlife. Oak flooring is throughout the cabin. The very large covered front and back porches are great places to watch wildlife or sit back and relax. There is a propane outdoor grill, tables and lots of seating including rocking chairs and a swing. On the east side of the cabin is a sun deck with lounge chairs for your enjoyment, and at the backdoor is another large, covered porch with table and chairs for your relaxation. A large firepit with split firewood is for campfires and nighttime relaxing.

The kitchen is modern with all the amenities you would need; granite counter tops, double door refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, two ovens, microwave, Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, crock pot, blender, toaster, cooking utensils, spices, coffee, and tea.

The dining area has a beautiful aspen table for eight. The dining room table is ideal for the selection of games and puzzles kept at the cabin.

In the living room area is a wood stove with plenty of split wood and fire starter. Living room seating includes a couch, love seat, and two recliners. The smart, large screen tv includes Disney, Netflix, Roku and DirectTV. There is a DVD player for those that want to watch movies or play music. Free WIFI is available for your cell phone and computer.

The two bedrooms each have beautiful aspen framed queen beds. The main bathroom has a bathtub with shower, and granite topped vanity. The washer and dryer are in the main bathroom. There is an additional half bath located off the great room.

Black Canyon National Park, Curecanti National Recreation Area, Blue Mesa Reservoir, San Juan Mountains and the towns of Gunnison, Crested Butte, Montrose, Ouray, Lake City and Telluride are nearby. The Black Canyon National Park is approximately a 50-minute drive from the cabin where you can explore and hike the deepest canyon in Colorado. Blue Mesa Reservoir is approximately a 30-minute drive where you can rent boats and fish for world record lake trout. Gunnison and Montrose are approximately a 50-minute drive in either direction. Crested Butte, Ouray, and Lake City are 1.5 hours away from the cabin.

At the cabin, guests have access to the Arrowhead Mountain Inn, which is a 20-minute walk. Lunch and dinner are served Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served on Saturday and Sundays. The lodge has a full bar and during summer months, there is free musical entertainment.

Before arriving to the cabin, make sure you stop at a grocery store in either Gunnison or Montrose to get supplies including gas and food.

Cell phone service is intermittent. The cabin has free Wi-Fi. Guests should enable or setup Wi-Fi calling on their cell phones. There are USB outlets in the living room, kitchen, and both bedrooms. A computer work desk is in the main bedroom. There is an outdoor security camera on the property.

Winter at Arrowhead is a special time. The internal community roads close to wheeled vehicles approximately December 1st until mid-April, depending on the amount of snow. In winter the roads are open to snowmobiles, cross country skis, snowshoes and foot travel. Inquire before booking. Guests need to park in the Winter parking lot and use snowmobile, skis or snowshoes to go the .5-mile groomed trail to the cabin. Snowmobiles can be rented locally ahead of time from Arrowhead Mountain Adventures (www.alpineplateau.com). Shuttle service is available for an extra fee and must be arranged in advance.

In winter, Arrowhead's internal roads close to wheeled vehicles from December until mid-April; exact dates are determined by area patrol service and are dependent upon snowfall accumulation. Guests park in the winter parking lot and travel throughout the community via snowmobile (which can be rented for anywhere from 2 hours to 30 days by visiting www.alpineplateau.com). This is also a great time to try out snowshoes provided at the cabin or the newly created cross country alpine ski track nearby.

There are 1800 plus square feet to call home for your escape. The large great room opens into the dining room and kitchen with many windows to allow for great views of the outdoors. The master bedroom is in the loft with a queen bed and full-size futon. There is a star gazing window over the queen bed in the loft which is very relaxing before you retire at night. The large main floor bedroom has a queen bed. There is a queen and full size sleeper couch in great room. There is a full bath on each floor. The laundry room with washer and dryer is on main floor for your use. A TV with a DVD player in the great room allows you to enjoy your favorite shows during your down time.

Arrowhead Ranch is a wonderful area and part of the San Juan Mountains. The turn off to Arrowhead is half way between Gunnison and Montrose on Highway 50. You will have access to multiple day trips including: Ouray, Telluride, Lake City, Ridgeway, Silverton, Wine country and orchards toward Palisade, Black Canyon, Marrow Boat Tours in the canyon and Blue Mesa Lake. One of our favorite spots is Big Blue Campground south of Arrowhead, this location has a great campground with beaver ponds and the Big Blue River for fishing. Arrowhead is a great location for those interested in hiking, biking, four-wheeling, fishing, watching wildlife and relaxing!

The A-frame will give you all you need to unwind and recharge. The large deck allows you to enjoy the beautiful relaxing outdoors. Many sightings of wildlife are possible if you are quiet! We enjoy the deer most every morning and evening as we watch out the dining room windows. Early in the summer we often watch the baby fawns follow their mothers as they walk by the cabin. They are often playful and fun to watch. At certain times of the year you can see elk but you can always hear them in the fall. Many birds from turkeys to grouse visit along with the humming birds. Occasionally a snow shoe rabbit or red fox with slip by. Rarely we see a bear.

Views on the deck are great down the valley. You can also relax and enjoy a good book on the quiet deck. Grill that perfect steak with your favorite wine on the deck for a perfect evening after a fun filled day! Sunsets on the deck following dinner are the best. Smores over the fire pit are also a good way to spend your evening relaxing after a full day of the outdoors.
We enjoy the Arrowhead Mountain Lodge for the outdoor entertainment they have most weekends and the restaurant which is very good. If you are a fisherman there are lakes available to Arrowhead residents to fish without a license. Hazel Lake is just across the road from the cabin and a great hike. This is another great spot to enjoy the wildlife. You can safely hike or bike the many miles of roads around Arrowhead and there are several trails available.

This get-away from "life" is the best way to recharge with the fresh mountain air. We enjoy the spring each year but fall is special with all the wonderful colors! Come and Enjoy!

Summer/Spring: There is a hiking trail right off the driveway, fishing is permitted on 3 private lakes, national Forest and BLM access via track vehicles on groomed filing roads. There is also live music every Saturday night at the Arrowhead Mountain Lodge!

Blue Mesa Reservoir is less than 20 miles from the cabin for day trips and boating adventures.

The closest grocery store is over 30 miles away, so please plan accordingly. :-) Arrowhead Mountain Lodge has some staples available for purchase, but selection is limited.

About this space
Relax with family and friends in this peaceful place in the mountains. This getaway is nested in the middle of nature. This cute A frame cabin is warm and cozy and a great place to make memories. Enjoy the wood burning stove with a cup of hot coco at night or roast S'more's on the campfire. Enjoy the view of the deer in the mornings out of one of the many windows. This cabin is a place to get away and enjoy nature. There are 2 lakes to fish and tons of trails to hike and forest to explorer.
The space
Upstairs there are 4 beds. One twin bed in a room by itself, off to each side of the stair there are sleeping areas, one bunk bed twin over full and one twin by itself. There is a smart TV in the bedroom. Downstairs there is a futon if you need more sleeping space then what is upstairs. There is a 65-inch smart TV in the living room with Netflix. There is Wi-Fi in the cabin and also a desk for a work area. There is base board heat and also a wood burning stove in the living room. In the kitchen you will find a small table for dining, a coffee station with a Keurig and all different kinds of coffee and hot coco. There is a microwave, and an oven/air fryer, there a normal stove top for cooking and a full side refrigerator. Also, a washer and driver in the hall closet. There is a Grill on the porch and a firepit in the back yard.
Guest access
You have the whole cabin to yourself. The cabin sits on almost an acre. There is one neighbor on one side but not close.
There is very spotty cell service depending on your carrier. The Wi-Fi works great for Wi-Fi calling.
Other things to note
This cabin is within Arrowhead, a mountain home community located between Gunnison and Montrose, south of highway 50 on the Alpine Plateau Road. From May, into November, the cabin is accessible by car. When there is adequate snow, usually in November, the roads within Arrowhead are closed to car and truck traffic. During winter, when the internal roads are closed, you need to park at the winter parking lot and traverse the remaining 1/4 mile to the cabin by snowmobile, snowshoe, of skis. The cabin is not far from the winter parking area after the trails for the snowmobiles has formed you can walk in with just snow boots. Snowmobiles can be rented from Arrowhead Mountain Adventures located next to Arrowhead Mountain Inn.

There are 2 lakes that are stocked to fish and tons of forest to explorer. Blue mesa lake is 17 miles away as well as Lake City. Ouray is a 1.5-hour drive away.

The space
This 3,000 sq. ft. cabin features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests. Whether you want to host a large family gathering or enjoy the space with friends, there is more than enough room to accommodate. Kids will love the bunk room in the loft with attached playroom, private bathroom, and smart television and DVD player for movies (bring your own movies). The master features a king bed with private access to a bathroom. The additional private guest suite on the main floor has a queen bed. Guests who stay in the basement will enjoy private access to their own bathroom.

The great room features a large leather sectional, wood burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen that overlooks unobstructed magnificent mountain views. Enjoy dining inside or outside on the deck. An outdoor grill is available for your use (propane provided). If you’re quiet, you might spot an animal or two, or three!

Want a break from the kids? No problem, send them down to the walk-out basement to the fully outfitted game room featuring a pool table, big screen tv, wet bar and collection of card and board games. Perhaps the crisp mountain air is calling for a fire in the outdoor fire pit. The cabin has roasters for you to roast your hot dogs and marshmallows! Please note that dogs are not allowed.

This cabin has all the amenities available for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Just bring your own food, belongings and personal care items including bath soap and shampoo as those are not supplied. The cabin also has a washer and dryer for your laundry needs.

Do you like to hunt? The cabin during the FALL can’t be beat! It is in Unit 66 and on the border of Unit 65. There's plenty of hiking, biking, off-roading and fishing left to do during the months of September and October too.

The WINTER is a snowmobile paradise!! Enjoy 32 miles of groomed snowmobile trails on the Alpine Plateau courtesy of the Arrowhead Snowmobile Club. Check their website at arrowheadsnowmobile.org for maps and more information about snowmobiling in the area. Don’t have your own snowmobiles? Rent some at Arrowhead Mountain Adventures. Check their website at alpineplateau.com for more information. Maybe snowshoeing or cross-country skiing is more your vibe, there are miles of groomed trails for that too! We have a fleet of adult cross-country skis and boots for you to use! Don't forget to bring a sled for the kids too!

In the SUMMER, enjoy great hiking, biking, off-roading, and fishing right as you walk out the front door. Hazel Lake is a short walk from the cabin where you can enjoy the beautiful views or fish for free without state licensure using our guest pass. Please note that swimming is restricted in this lake and others in the area. Enjoy free outdoor concerts at the Arrowhead Mountain Lodge 1.8 miles down the road every Saturday night in the Summer from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Don’t feel like cooking? Arrowhead Mountain Lodge has you covered at their in-house restaurant and bar. Check their hours of operation at all that they have to offer at arrowheadmtnlodge.com. If you enjoy ATV-ing, the 1.5 hour off-road drive to Lake City may interest you where you can access Engineer Pass, Cinnamon Pass or the Alpine Loop. Please note that you will need to trailer your off-road vehicles to access these trails. Off road vehicles are not permitted on roads in Colorado. There is a short section before Lake City where off road vehicles are not allowed. Arrowhead Mountain Adventures has off-road vehicles to rent.

The cabin is 32 miles away from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and 12 miles away from Blue Mesa Reservoir where you can enjoy recreational boating or fishing. The closest resorts are Crested Butte (1.5 hours East) and Telluride (2 hours
West) where you can enjoy skiing in the Winter and a variety of activities in the Summer.

* In the WINTER, approximately late November through early April, all homes in the Arrowhead Development in Cimarron are CLOSED to road vehicles. Alpine Plateau Road (off US Hwy 50 in Little Blue Canyon) is plowed up to the Winter parking lot where you can park your road vehicles (5.5 miles from Hwy50). From there, the cabin is 1.8 miles away accessible ONLY by snowmobile, snowshoes, skis or securing a shuttle. If you don’t own or bring any of these, make reservations at Arrowhead Mountain Adventures (alpineplateau.com) at least 4 weeks or 48 hours before your stay. Be advised that we will require confirmation of snowmobile rentals 4 weeks prior or 48 hours if booked within 4 weeks prior to your stay. If we are unable to get confirmation from you, we may need to cancel your reservation.

Other things to note:
* NO SMOKING of any kind (tobacco, marijuana, vaping, etc.) is allowed in the cabin OR on the property at any time.

*Pets are NOT allowed. Violators of this rule will incur an automatic $300 fine.

*The nearest store (of any kind) is 30+ miles away through mountain terrain. Shop for food or other needed supplies BEFORE you arrive. There is a large pantry and fridge for you to store all your food and supplies. If you do find yourself in a pinch, Arrowhead Mountain Lodge has a very limited list of things available: milk, soda, bread, and cheese. They have also been so kind to sell small quantities of flour or sugar if you forgot some.

*Internet is available at the cabin, but cell phone coverage is limited.

*Be aware that this cabin is in a remote location and the main road to get there (Alpine Plateau Road off Hwy 50) is an uphill dirt road and may become slick in the winter, especially during a snowstorm. It is plowed and maintained during the winter, but make sure you check the weather report before you come and drive appropriate vehicles for the conditions.

1700 Sqft beautifully decorated fully furnished cabin in Arrowhead. Area is known for snowmobiling in the winter and ATV/UTV use in the summer. Stay tucked privately back in the trees, go for a hike, go fishing, take UTV to Lake City (approx 35 miles), or head down to the Lodge for dining and outdoor live entertainment (summer weekends). Welcome to a beautiful, cozy private bedroom. bathroom with kitchenette with shared (bust mostly yours) living room dining space on Spring Creek. Great light in the large queen bedroom. Views of the San Juan’s and Grand Mesa all around the property! A very private, quite location on Spring Creek Mesa only 12 minute from downtown Montrose and 20 minutes from Delta.

The space
This a private room, queen bed, bathroom with shower and kitchenette (not full kitchen) space with microwave, fridge and small sink with counter space there is no cooktop. There is a living room dining space that is also accessible but open to the rest of the house. Private entrance and parking right outside your door will make you feel like it is your own apartment although you will have the security of our family close at hand. The space is only set off by room dividers, so noise travels between your space and ours,, however, it is a very large house so if we are both thoughtful of keeping noise within our space, all is well. It is large house and just me and my hubby and pets so you should find plenty of privacy. The property is in the country on Spring Creek Mesa, one of the most beautiful places in Montrose with 360 views from the San Juan’s to the Grand Mesa and the Grand Valley in between. We cater to the needs of medical professionals on 3 month rotations on the Western Slope.

Guest access
Your space is the bedroom, bath and a small, private kitchenette. You are welcome to our shared living room dining area, if you can be thoughtful about loud noise and picking up after yourself. You can you our washer/dryer on a predetermined schedule that works for both of us You are welcome to patios which are all around the property. The rest of the house is private space for our family.

During your stay
You are able to self-check in or we can greet you and get you settled If you wish and help you with local information. We will be there when you need us but you will have plenty of privacy.

Other things to note
If you need a longer stay let us know we are somewhat flexible.

We have both dogs and cats on the property who roam freely around the common space, so if you don't like animals you will be more comfortable elsewhere 😊.

We have a septic system so thoughtfulness about volume of water going down the drain is much appreciated.

We appreciate no entertaining of friends at the property.

The property is in the country and sometimes there are bugs or rodent. We do all we can to keep your space clear of them but they are part of the country living. Please keep exterior doors shut to help.

This stylish place to stay is perfect for traveling nurses and people with internships. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you will need for an extended stay. The view of the San Juan mountains is spectacular. It has its own entrance and plenty of parking. There is a workspace available with WiFi available.

The space
The apartment has its own entrance with a handicap capability. There is a wrap around deck to view the San Juan mountains. The property has 350 degree views. You enter into a great room with a small but well equipped kitchen, a coat closet a sitting area and a beautiful pool table. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and a desk at the end of it. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and has a walk in shower. The dressing area has a wardrobe and a full length mirror.

The Hodgepodge Peaceful Lodge is a folk-art version of a boutique hotel where you can enjoy an entire luxury house for the price of a room.

This is not the usual "room in a house"! All the shared spaces are dedicated to our guest only!

We offer deep discounts for multi-month stays, especially November through May.

The entire first floor of our house is dedicated to our guests. You can lounge and read in the library, hang out in the media room, relax in the solarium or eat and drink in the cafe. We have three outdoor patio areas with beautiful views of our unique neighbors and the San Juan Mountains.

There is a washing machine and dryer on the lower floor. The double kitchen has everything you might need, or so we've been told.

Our house is 1 block from Paonia town park so you can easily enjoy the events that happen there. We are 5 blocks from downtown so you can walk or ride bikes to the restaurants, brewery, music, conferences, and festivals. If you have an electric vehicle, we have a charger!

The space
You will be downstairs in a well lit room. The bed in this guest room is a very comfortable futon bed that has received nothing but good reviews. There is a small desk in the room, with high speed internet/wifi.

You will also have use of a mini fridge. We provide drinking water, coffee and tea, plates, bowls and silverware, fan, hangers, iron, etc. If you need anything let us know.

We have two private guest rooms that are listed on Airbnb so if you have more than two people in your party, or if you don't want to share the bed, you will want to also reserve the other guest room (the beige room) to accommodate all of you.

You will share the fridge and bathroom with the other guests, if any.

We are very quiet and peaceful. (Well, there is an occasional train whistle but its very short). We eat organic food and will have a garden. You can enjoy our patio while you are here.

Our mission is to provide you with a great place to stay during your visit to the Paonia area. We will respect your space and privacy and are available if you need anything.
