Nothing was compromised when designing this fully furnished, short or long term, vacation rental. Built in 2006, the home offers high quality furnishings. It was meticulously constructed of hand-hewn Montana timber logs. The 1200sq' Brazilian hardwood deck wraps around the main floor level providing an extraordinary spread for gathering with family and friends while being surrounded by national forest that offers wonderful views of the mountains above and the valley below. The fall season offers some of the best elk and deer hunting in the state. In addition, the winter months invite world class snowmobiling, cross country skiing and any outdoor winter activity that you can imagine, including ice fishing on Ruedi for that dedicated angler. All of this is conveniently nestled in the tranquil and majestic White River National Forest. 'The Cabin' is an exceptionally scenic 25 minute drive from the town of Basalt. Bald eagles, Big Horn sheep, Elk, deer and wild turkeys are a common site.

The town of Basalt offers excellent dining options, several boutique's for the casual shopper and a choice fly fishing outfitters. There is also a General Store in town to pick up your basic essentials. An additional 5 minute drive further down valley is the Willet's Town Center. This popular retail location offers additional shopping, multiple dining options and a list of retailers including Whole Foods market and City Market for stocking up on your complete grocery list. Aspen/Snowmass and the Pitkin county Airport are located, "up valley", approximately 45-50 minute drive away from the cabin.

The roads are maintained during the winter months. However, 4 x 4 vehicles are highly recommend in the Rocky Mountain region.

- "Second time staying here and it won’t be our last. First, and most important, Dan is the consummate wonderful host. Incredibly quick to respond, took time to check in to make sure everything was perfect, and just wonderful as a host. Cannot recommend him highly enough. Love the location of the property above Ruedi Reservoir. There are neighbors but the property is very secluded and quiet. We loved the daily visits by a doe and her three fawns and had a separate visit by two bucks. If you want peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. The addition of Starlink internet from our previous stay was a nice surprise because it meant not being without phone service since cellular coverage stops just outside of Basalt. And last, but certainly not least, the drive along the Frying Pan River never gets old. If anything, it’s difficult to pay attention to the road. Luxurious Riverfront Log Cabin located directly on the banks of the Frying Pan River. The Guest Cabin is located on the same property as Lodge at River's Edge and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable TV and wireless internet, a bedroom with a queen bed and an open air loft with two twin beds. There is also a pull out sofa in the Living Room.

The cabin was originally built by Colorado Midland Railroad workers in 1896, it was restored a century later in 1996. The cabin was renovated again in 2005 and 2015 . The cabin is decorated in an elegant mountain style and includes luxurious linens, comfy robes, down pillows, radiant in-floor heating, fireplace and all the amenities you would expect at a nice hotel. The sliding glass door opens up to the views and sounds of the Frying Pan River rushing by. The cabin guests' are welcome to fish on the Frying Pan River in front of the cabin and also upriver towards the main lodge.

The cabin interior was recently with a gorgeous custom staircase to the loft. Additionally, the kitchen has been remodeled with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and wood flooring throughout. Other additions include A/C, washer/dryer, dishwasher and an upgraded bathroom with walk in shower and double vanities. No details has been overlooked.

The cabin is located only one block to the charming town of Basalt. It is a beautiful, quick 1 minute stroll to all the restaurants and shops located in town. Rainbow trout sip at flies surfacing on the spring creek pond in the back yard while adventurous minded participants use the Zipline from the tree fort to enjoy the back yard experience year round. Many excellent restaurants including Oceans (seafood), El Korita (Mexican), Sure Thing Burgers, Mezzaluna (Italian) Zane’s Tavern (sports bar), Bella Mia Italian, Weinerstube and a Starbucks are all within walking distance. Skiing
There are 4 ski mountains towards Aspen.
Ajax (Aspen Mtn), Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.
Sunlight mountain skiing is located in Glenwood Springs (a 40-minute drive).

Biking
There are numerous road and mountain biking trails nearby. The semi-flat Rio Grand Trail connects Aspen to Glenwood.

Glassier Trail is an intermediate/moderate trail you can hike, run, and mountain bike. ... This is a 1.6-mile dirt trail on the Glassier Open Space that links with The Crown in Basalt, CO. Prince Creek, also called the Prince Creek Trails, is a network of trails you can hike, run, and mountain bike that is dog friendly.

Welcome to our Basalt Estate. We live on a secluded road in the seven castles community and you will be in complete Colorado wilderness and privacy. Please have 4 wheel drive. One of our favorite amenities about our property is that we have a private hiking trail right in our backyard that is a 4 mile round trip hike to waterfalls. Aspen and Snowmass skiing is about 30-45 minutes away. Downtown Basalt where you can find restaurants, gas and coffee shops is a 12 minute drive down the frying pan.

Snowmass is a quick 20 drive and there's a bus you can hop within easy walking distance of the unit. Driving 15 miles up from Basalt the famous Frying Pan valley along the river is amazing ,some of the best Gold metal fishing in the entire state. The cabin is tucked away for privacy minutes only minutes from the Ruedi Reservoir .The roads are in excellent conditions but a 4x4 with snow tires is a must in the winter ,lots of sunshine and fresh air is guaranteed ,3 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms all on one level will make you feel home .beautiful hiking , mnt bike trails right out the door ,amazing fishing along the river and reservoir, skiing in Aspen and Snowmass 35 miles away,4x4 off-road trails all over ,sailing subbing ,hunting etc…...
Your own Private Hot tub is perfect for stargazing without any light pollution ,lots of wildlife and just pure nature without city noice .Nice place to get away for a couple days and recharge lots of good Energy,
there is no cell service but good Internet for streaming and phone calls, the nearest place for Restaurants/ Whole Foods grocery stores and gas is Basalt /El jebel.
The property manager or owners are staying in a separate guesthouse near the cabin to assist you with checking in ,and are always available to help to make your stay perfect .

- "We were in town for a wedding in Aspen but didn’t want the hustle and bustle of town and this was perfect. Located about 16 miles outside Basalt near the reservoir this quiet cabin is nestled back in the woods with tons of wildlife (some that comes to visit) and picturesque views made this the perfect place to decompress and just “be”. The home is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully decorated and comes complete with everything you will need. The host, Christian, was super nice and accommodating. He lives onsite but makes himself scarce but if you want to chat he will oblige. We will definitely visit again should we find ourselves in the area."

- "Beautiful property and location, simple, clean condo, good layout. Unfortunately there was some cigarette smoke that drifted in and music after hours from the tenants on the other side of the door. We contacted the property manager and he put in a call to have them quit. It kept us up a bit, but I would imagine it was addressed for future renters. Stove is a separate induction unit, but has all the basics! Other than that, great spot!"

Your private bedroom+bathroom is on the first floor of a 3 floor townhouse, and features a queen-sized bed, desk, television (includes Netflix + YoutubeTV), kitchenette (mini fridge, electric kettle, coffee/tea, microwave, toaster, dishes/utensils), spacious closet for storage, outdoor patio, and shared lawn space adjacent to the lake (includes picnic blanket, chairs, and wine glasses for use).

You’ll have the first floor all to yourself, and the room is accessible via separate entrance with an electronic lock. I live on the second+third floor and have my own living spaces, although I do use/access the garage on the first floor.

The included workspace + fast WiFi make it easy to get any work done. There is also a co-working space in nearby Willits (walking distance).

* The floors are not very well-insulated from sound, so you may hear some *light* foot traffic noise from my unit above. I do my best to keep any noise light, particularly respecting quiet hours overnight between 10pm-7:30am

Basalt's location is convenient to both ends of the Roaring Fork Valley. It is ten-minute walk along the Frying Pan River to downtown Basalt. However, transportation is recommended.

We accept pets at the studio, either one large or 2 small; there is a $50 pet fee. Please let us know if you wish to bring yours.
We ask that the pet be kennel if left behind while you go out.
Obey Town of Basalt's leash and patrol ordinances.
Drop cloths provided if they are allowed on furniture.

The space
Tucked into the trees off the Frying Pan Road, the studio is a quiet, private space. You can hear the Frying Pan River as it flows to the Roaring Fork. It is very comfortable for couples or the solo traveler. The listed rate is for two guests, each additional guest is $35.00/night.

The studio is located on the first story of the house with it's own entry.
Parking is with in 25 feet of the front door.
The other egress door is fire rated and seals, it opens to a stairwell and access to the garage. Feel free to check it out, if you open the door, please make sure that the door seals when you close it.

We require four wheel drive to get up our driveway in the winter. We are hosting out the bottom floor of our three story log cabin. It is self contained with own parking and separate entrance. We live upstairs. This ADU is a whole apartment with full kitchen, living, and dining area as well as a second bedroom with twin size bed. The second bedroom used to be an office. It does not get heat, but we’ve put a space heater in room to make you comfortable.

The cabin is located 500' down a wooded trail from the parking spot. It is 750 sq. ft. of space. The living, kitchen, bathroom and utility room are located on the main floor and up a steep set of stairs is the sleeping loft that feels like you are in a treehouse. It accommodates up to 4 guests with a queen size bed and a full size sleeper sofa. There is a kitchen with mini fridge, 4 burner range, sink, dishes, pots and pans. A full bathroom with a bathtub and 2 head shower above, and a sun-mar composting toilet.
Organic Linens and towels are provided. Eco friendly cleaning products and materials are used for the chemical sensitive.
Our homestead is a non-smoking and fragrance free environment.

The cabin can be heated with a propane heater stove and a wood stove if it is raining outside, due to high fire danger. Outside the front door is a wrap around deck for outdoor dining.

The cabin is off the beaten track, so a 4 wheel drive or AWD is recommended.

This charming apartment is situated in the heart of Old Town, Basalt, just one block above the center of town. It has a private patio and garden and is steps away from Basalt's restaurants, shopping, galleries and the world class Frying Pan River. Our two town bikes make it easy to grab fresh provisions at Skips Market, a farm store down the street . The RFTA bus stop is downtown for easy transit to Aspen, Highlands and Snowmass ski areas and the surrounding area.

The space
Our garden apartment has a private entrance and enclosed garden and patio for your enjoyment. The apartment is attached to our main house but feels as if it were unto itself. There is a screened wall between the apartment patio and our storage area for our garden implements and bikes. You will not feel or see us unless requested for some assistance with something in the apartment during your stay.

The apartment space has light wood floors and calm aesthetics including live plants. We choose to only use natural cleaning products and we open the space to let fresh air circulate the space between guests . Our kitchen stove and refrigerator are vintage and the bath is an original claw foot tub. The laundry is Miele and we provide laundry soap for your ease of cleaning articles. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath salts, a hair dyer and brush, cotton balls and q-tips.

We have a brand new Delonghi Nespresso CITIZ maker and milk frother in additional to complimentary espresso pods for your morning kick off. We also provide complimentary tea and an electric tea kettle. We have a water purifier pitcher and a microwave in addition to a toaster oven.

The queen bed in the bedroom has a feather top and down duvet as well as 100% down pillows. Our queen bed linens are 100% Indian cotton.
We also have two down free alternatives in the closet. We provide a noise machine for sound sleeping although there is no issue with noice in our alley and a dark out shade on the window. Also, an iron and board for pre meeting prep.

The apartment is best suited for two guests in the bedroom but we also have a twin daybed in the sunroom that is available for one guest at an additional $50 charge per adult/per night. If pulls out into a full size bed if desired but also sleeps well as a twin. We have a dark out shade for the large window by the daybed but some sun will come in from the glass entry door and large window in the kitchen.

Our internet is " Nest" and works beautifully. TV is set up using 'smart tv' features, so you can sign in to your subscription services using the Apps, or you can watch live tv via YouTubeTV subscription already installed.

Our house begins at the end of your patio and we appreciate that you enter the property through your own private entrance gate on the left side of the property, off the alley, only a short walk from where you park your car on Homestead Drive. Please park next to the red fire hydrant in the front of our house or in the open spots above the vacant lot. Our neighbors on the opposite side of the street like to keep the spaces in front of their homes open for their own cars even though the street is public parking for all.

We are a family of four that live adjacent to and above this ground level cottage. Our boys are Henry, 15 and Nico, 10 years old. We like to go rock climbing, sailing and wake surfing at Ruedi in the summertime. Winter months are full with skiing cross country skiing, hiking and hockey. We can help you with ideas for outdoor adventure so please let us know if you need our help with ideas of what to do. anything during your stay to make it more comfortable.

The space
Peaceful room for 2 people with views of the patio, back yard and lower deck. This room is completely private and feels like a separate space, but it is attached to the main house. The room includes a private full bathroom and kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and hot pot for boiling water. There are also a few other kitchen appliances, like a blender and bread maker. There is also a private grill on the patio for guests to use. Guests have full access to the entire back yard, lower deck and patio, and may see us outside from time to time. We will respect guests privacy, but are happy to engage and be friendly as well! Please don’t hesitate to approach any of us if you have questions or concerns.

The space is clean and spacious, and stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The space is bright and sunny, allowing an abundance of sunshine in. There are also blackout curtains for darkness and to keep the room cooler.

There is a portable air conditioner in the room so that you can set the climate to your specification in the warmer months.

The property also boasts a large back yard with picnic tables and umbrella, several comfortable chairs for lounging, a large deck with tall Adirondack chairs and a canvas tent with chairs and side table for shade and privacy. We think you’ll fall in love with all the space and cozy nooks for relaxing!

Private access is down the stairs to the right of the garage, and the back door is around to the left. Guests have access to the patio, back yard and lower deck. The bedroom has a private bathroom and a closet with a dresser and hangers to hang clothes. Airbnb will give guests a special code to access the room.

During your stay
My husband, Dan, and I live in the rest of the house with my kids, 1 cat (Theo) and a dog ( Kona). You may see us on the property, but we will respect your privacy and will interact at your convenience and according to your comfort level. I am usually available, but if I'm not, I can give detailed instructions on how to get situated in your room.

Other things to note
We have a cat and a dog on the premises. They may roam around in the yard, but they won't have access to the rental room.

We also often have wildlife that visit us in our back yard, including deer and bears. We often have bears in the spring and fall and it’s not unusual to find them resting in the large spruce tree in the center of our back yard. For that reason, we request that you do not leave your windows open or leave any food items outside or in your car.

I also have handcrafted mugs and cups for sale in the room (by donation). I have more in my garage if you'd like to look at more of a selection.

THE SPACE
This nicely appointed townhome features hardwood floors, granite countertops, new furnishings, flat screen TVs and unobstructed lake and mountain views! The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal and the dining area comfortably seats 8. In warmer months, unwind and enjoy evenings dining on the deck with amazing lake and mountain views.

Two comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located on the upper level. The primary bedroom is furnished with s a queen bed, flat screen TV, and an en suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has queen bunk beds, great for kids! The third bedroom, on the lower level, features a queen bed, a private bathroom, beautiful lake views and access to the lake and outdoor areas.

Enjoy summer in the Colorado mountains -easy access to Basalt, across the road from the Frying Pan River with world class fishing, and 30 minutes to Aspen/Snowmass. This home in the 7 Castles area of the Frying Pan offers privacy, amazing views, and access to a couple miles of walking trail above the house. The house has 3 bedrooms with new King beds (2 ensuite), an open plan living/dining area, and 5 acres to run around. You will have access to Starlink for internet/phone use. Come and enjoy!

The space
We welcome quiet, peaceful guests to come and enjoy our home. This is our family home which we rent while we travel for extended periods. We do ask that only respectful guests come stay. This is a quiet, peaceful location and we do not wish to disturb the neighbors with rowdy visitors (no parties). I am happy to provide a description of the home and access so you know what to expect:

The house is in a beautiful setting about 7 minutes up the Frying Pan from the town of Basalt with amazing Seven Castles views. The home is accessed by a gravel road. (4WD is not needed, but we do recommend using 4WD or AWD if you have it in order to maintain the road). The downstairs has an open plan living / dining / kitchen area and a half bath. There is also a bonus room (not pictured) that has a TV and couch. A sunroom with sliding doors offers some great indoor / outdoor space with views towards the river.

Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms with King beds. The master has an ensuite bathroom with large bath tub and separate shower. There is also a sitting area by the bathroom with a desk which you are welcome to utilize. The 2nd bedroom with king bed has an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The 3rd bedroom has a king bed and there is a separate bathroom in the hall with a bath/shower unit.

The house has starlink which we use for internet / phone. I have AT&T which does not get much service at the house but I am able to work from home, use internet, and receive and make calls using the Starlink. Verizon has slightly better service, but I would count on using the Starlink provided for calls and internet.

The house itself is an older home but is very comfortable and offers a great space to enjoy the surrounding regions. Please note that the photos are old and some of the furniture/bedding has since been updated. Newer photos to come once available. We do prefer not to have young children stay since some of the railings have large gaps that could present a hazard.

The river can be accessed at public access points - the closest of which is about a mile up the road. Ruedi Reservoir is about 20 minutes from the house.

The guests can use the whole house and land, EXCEPT the following:

-Attic which can usually be accessed by spiral stairs and will be marked as closed

-Deck above the garage

-Garage

-Locked owners cupboards with our personal belongings

-Sheds

3 bedroom 2 bath newly remodeled home in Old Snowmass on the bus line! Perfect lodging for your ski vacation, a quick 14 miles to Snowmass Ski area or 16 miles to Aspen. Fish the roaring fork across the street or the frying pan in Basalt, 1.5 miles away.

The space
Close to Highway 82 which is kept clear of snow, so don't worry about winter driving if you have a small car. Plenty of parking. Walk out of the door to the bus stop. It will take you to all four area mountains every 30 minutes. Let the bus be your chauffeur!
Bedroom 1: King size bed; Bedroom 2: Queen size bed; Bedroom 3: bunk bed with full on bottom and twin on top. Huge back yard and lovely deck complete with gas grill. The Rio Grande trail is steps out the back door, it's groomed for cross country in the winter and connects Glenwood Springs to Aspen with a paved biking trail.

Guest access
We rent the whole house, guests are free to use all all of the spices and kitchen items. The owners recently built a garage, it is locked and not accessible as it is where they store all of their gear when the house is rented. A sprinkler system and new sod were installed this summer, please do not drive into the yard.

Our 1500 square foot cottage is a 5 minute pleasant walk to Basalt Town and a 25-35 minute drive to Aspen. Historic Basalt, has great cafes, bars, restaurants, shops , spas and gyms. Whole Foods a 5 minute drive.Frequent buses to mountains and town. Tastefully refurbished. 3 queen memory foam beds 2 baths. Fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. Note: HOA Allows 1 stay per 30 night. Min acceptable booking is 10 nights. Discounts for longer . Enquire.

Other things to note
It is a really pleasant and safe family neighbourhood and in summer there is pool open to the public just across the park - about 4- 5 minutes walk.
The Basalt Library is also worth a visit.

There are three bedrooms: one king master, one queen with a walkout patio and one bunkbed room. The open living room has views to a great and fully stocked kitchen, dining space & deck. Walk to Whole Foods, coffee, great restaurants & the Rio Grand Bike trail. Explore hiking, fly fishing, world class skiing. 19 miles to Aspen. 14 miles to Snowmass. Garage. Laundry room.

The space
Lots of light, high ceilings and open living space in this peaceful neighborhood. Open spacious kitchen which is fully stocked with all you need to cook including a large pantry and walking distance to Whole Foods. Great wifi speeds when you are not walking around this pedestrian friendly Willits location in Basalt. Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Guest access
Enter the building with a digital front door lock. There is a garage and garage door opener which can hold one large car and bikes and skis. There is a driveway which can hold two other cars. There is no additional parking in the neighborhood due to strict association rules.

Other things to note
No more than three unrelated guests. Parking only for what fits in garage and on driveway - 3 cars or less. Please keep your bikes, skis and sports equipment in the garage. This property is best suited for couples or families looking for a quiet and peaceful mountain get away. No smoking property.
