The deep mountain snow creates unique conditions specific to our property that we ask you to be aware of:
• Snow Plowing & Driveway Access: We contract with a reliable, high-volume plowing company. However, during heavy storms, their schedule is subject to major delays.
• The plow may arrive early (e.g 5 AM) or be delayed for a couple of days after a large accumulation.
• The driveway can accumulate deep snow and may be icy, especially where it meets the road.
• The plow will create snow berms at the end of the driveway, and you may need to shovel around your vehicle to clear a path.
• Crucially: Please be careful not to block the plow and be prepared to temporarily shuffle vehicles while the crew is working.
• Property Hazards:
• Deck Access: The deck can be covered in snow for days or even weeks until crews can safely clear it.
• Roof Snow & Ice: The roof will naturally shed snow and ice. Please be aware of falling snow/ice when walking near the house, even on sunny days.
• Fencing: Snow accumulation can be very high, potentially allowing pets to walk right over the fence. Please monitor your pets closely.
• Steep Embankment: DO NOT attempt to walk or ski down the steep embankment to the fields below. This area is prone to avalanches and is extremely dangerous for both people and pets.

The Space:
Beautiful townhouse on Elk Ave near the end of town (towards Mt. Crested Butte). Unbelievable views of Mt. Crested Butte. Just a few blocks to downtown and to the free bus up to the ski resort. Hiking, mountain biking, and cross country trails start within 1/2 block. Small but luxurious with many modern amenities, including wood floors and ceiling, in-floor heating, granite topped counters, beautiful front yard and porch, new appliances, gas fireplace and more. Wood floors just installed in the bedrooms. This is a place to come back to in years to come as more amenities are added.

2 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. 1 queen bed, 1 king bed. Large Living/Kitchen/Dining Room upstairs, bedrooms are downstairs. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower. The living room upstairs has a queen sleeper sofa and a powder room. The house does have wifi.

The free shuttle stops nearby at the Four Way Stop in town which is only 2 1/2 blocks to the house.

All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.

All of our properties have a 5 night minimum for the main summer of 6/26-8/8/2026 until 1/1/2026 at which point our minimum night stays will be reduced to 3 nights.

Mt. Crested Butte 1st floor end unit that has Kitchenette, king bed( probably medium soft; definitely not firm),large shower and living room with new smart TV; sofa and work table can also be used for dining. There is a one bedroom 2nd floor unit you could also rent if u have a larger group. The 2 units have a common entry area but each unit has their own separate entry door. The kitchenette has microwave, fridge, coffee pot,( no coffee)hot plate with skillet and saucepan and small crockpot, dishes etc. There is a deck off of the bedroom that faces Mt Crested Butte as well as a patio in summer. In winter it is covered in snow. The outside spaces are great in Summer, Spring,Fall because of small covered deck and large wooden patio with canopy and flowers and trees. People tell me it is relaxing. The West Wall Quad Lift is a short walk up hill (ONLY Dec 20- March 5 and then snow starts to melt) or the free condo loop bus stops at our driveway every 1/2 hour, in winter. From April thru November ( or anytime) you can walk 15 minutes to base area. ( if u live at this altitude it is less than 10 minutes).There is parking for 1 car as this unit only sleeps 2. The unit has no safety features for toddlers. There are biking and hiking trails nearby. This unit is no smoking on the property and no pets due to owner's allergies and regular guest's allergies. The owners live in the house so u may see us outside and this is a caretaker unit. We do not allow atv's or dirt bikes or trailers on the property. This is a dead end street and quiet neighborhood with a lot of locals. Entire unit is decorated in museum quality free-style ski exhibits from the 70's. It would be rare to find a condo with an exhibit like this. Paul is on the editorial board of ISHA. (International Ski History Assoc) . There is a lot of ski art and ski exhibits so if you are a minimalist, this may not be for you. Maximum stay of 5 nights is best since it only has a kitchenette, but you could stay longer if you like to eat out. NOTE: we have a fan in bedroom in summer if it becomes hot. There is NO air conditioning. We have windows that open. NOTE: The 1st floor and 2nd floor units can be rented separately or together and each unit has a separate vrbo#. Please do NOT bring BIKES inside. You can leave bikes locked on your vehicle or park behind your unit. A special note: The unit is disinfected according to cdc guidelines after each guest- clean towels, sheets, blanket; EACH guest. General surfaces, are cleaned & dusted after each guest. The unit is 30 years old and the Saltillo tile is steam cleaned once per year and then vacuumed and mopped after each guest, but it is worn in some places, so be aware it is clean but dated and priced accordingly. Also the amenities can not be beat with the on site free bus shuttle to the ski resort and down town Crested Butte. The outdoor swimming pool and hot tub have stunning views of Mt. Crested Butte and other surrounding mountains.
Not to mention the pool area has a changing room with a sauna, shower and bathroom.
Lets not forget about the out door grill also in the pool area. Great place to chill and take it all in. Don't forget your camera.

The space
10 minute walk to base area or 7 minute walk to west wall lift!You have your own unit and in summer your own private covered deck and large patio with yard. The entire unit has exhibits featuring posters and skis from the 70's freestyle era. The kitchenette has coffee pot, fridge, microwave, dishes and cups/glasses including wine glasses, and hot plate with skillet and saucepan. Easy to make breakfast and lunch, but most people who rent this unit, go out to eat or pick up dinner food. Free bus in winter only - You can ride your bike from the unit to several bike trails. One (1) parking space for your unit - please see picture and park on north side of house in parking area

Guest access
You have your own unit. But there are 2 (1 bedroom complete units) with their own access. This unit is 1st floor. You may hear some noise from 2nd floor, but the units are set up for one or two and I have not had complaints so assume all is good. Door unlocked day of arrival, your name on door and keys inside

Please do not bring pets as we have allergies and so do some of our regular guests -thank-you. We do not allow smoking or vaping on property. We live in a quiet neighborhood so we do not allow ATV's, snowmobiles, RV's, dirt bikes (sorry)-Entire unit is decorated (museum style) in ski history posters and skis from the Freestyle Era in the 70’s. The unit is 30 years old and the Saltillo tile is worn in places; the unit is cleaned after each guest but worn tile cannot be replaced due to infloor heat. The unit is well cared for and has a great ski display. We are NOT close to Aspen

Huge guest room with 4-post queen bed, work and sitting area in our family's home overlooking the town ranch of Crested Butte. Knockout views from every window, friendly host family, 1/2 mile to town. Hall bath will be solely yours. You are welcome to considerately use our kitchen, living room, deck, and yard.

The space
Our guest bedroom is on the second floor, with views to the west over Whetstone mtn. It has a queen 4-poster shaker-style bed, small desk, seating area, and a dedicated hall bath (private for you while you are here.) Full disclosure: the guest room window looks over the main road into Crested Butte, with lovely views to Whetstone Mountain. However, if some road noise bothers you (and the road sees very little night travel) you should be aware that you will need to keep the window and shades closed. Also, if it matters to you, there is no TV in the bedroom. We ask you to respect our nighttime quiet hours, as your bathroom shares a wall with our bedroom.

Guest access
While you are welcome to retreat to your room for your entire stay, we enjoy sharing our open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room, all of which have fabulous views, and a fireplace visible from all parts of the main space, as well as our deck and yard. Enjoy coffee and breakfast on the deck, overlooking hundreds of acres of meadows, culminating in the mountain across the way. In season, have a fire in the evening in our firepit, listening to the spring peepers, coyotes, and swallows cruising overhead. Roast a marshmallow with us. In winter, work on our jigsaw puzzle in progress, or challenge us to a card game. We enjoy having company! Access to the upstairs (your guest room and bath) is through a common entry hall. You are welcome to leave your ski boots in our mud room, and skis and bikes outside. We have off-street parking that can accommodate two additional cars beyond our own with no difficulty.

During your stay
We are usually around evenings, and sporadically during the days. We love to share our knowledge of local ski, hiking and bike trails, great drives, and favorite restaurants. Having guests from all backgrounds enriches our lives immeasurably. We can give you your space, or be your local new friends. If we are around, we often invite our guests to join us for dinner or breakfast, but we aren't insulted if you want to cocoon yourselves away for a private time. It's your vacation.

Depending on our own use, you may be able to borrow sleds or snowshoes in winter, recreational water paraphernalia in summer.

The space
Introducing Rocking H in Paradise, July 2025!  Welcome to this old rustic cabin with all of the thrills of the glorious mountains! Located in the heart of Paradise on Mt CB.
You’re immediately greeted by magnificent views as soon as you walk into the cozy family room. This rustic cabin has all the charm that you should want for that true mountain feel. 
On the first floor is a king bed with adjoining bath/shower that also serves the downstairs area.
There is a conversation area with Willie as your main focus point. The fireplace is reserved for owners only as it is not for guest use, sorry. 
Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms. Watch your head when you wake during the night because of the sloping ceiling. Each bedroom has its own sink, but they share a shower and toilet.
