The Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare and cook meals just like at home. The Second bedroom is very large and has plenty of room for gear or an extra baby crib or two. The washer and dryer are full size and the laundry room has plenty of room for gear storage as well. In the summer months, the gated side deck is a wonderful place to sit and people watch. The home sleeps 7 people- 2 queen bedrooms, an Ikea queen pull out sofa and a single flip out sofa bed in the living room.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home. Check in and out is across the street at The Villa Dallavalle Historic Inn. We strive to make check-in and check out simple, easy and quick. To check out all you need to do is make sure the dishes are washed and the trash is bagged.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled in the historic district, you can easily walk to all the shops and restaurants. The Wildcrafter Spa is right across the street with jetted soaking tubs, 8 person sauna, and cold plunges (summer months). The mountain views are beautiful in every direction with the iconic Kendall Mountain as the backdrop. Watching the sunset as it lights up Kendall is gorgeous. The Kendall Mountain ski area is just a quick walk or drive down the street. Silverton Mountain ski area is about a 15-20 minute drive. The Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad comes into to town and lets guests off just half a block from the Guest House.

Getting Around:
You don't need a car to get around town but many people like to rent a jeep or side by side to explore the famous Alpine loop in the summer months. In winter, you will need a car (with all wheel or preferably 4 wheel drive) to get to Silverton Mountain or Purgatory Ski Resort.

This lovely space is a 600 Sq. Ft. Studio apartment located in Silverton, Colorado. The location is on a nice quiet corner of town within walking distance to all the main amenities. This unit is nice and cozy, with windows optimized for the views. It is a perfect place to stay for all your Silverton adventures! This is a “monthly rental” with a one month minimum booking.

The space
This is an upstairs unit of a duplex. The space can be entered through a lower door off the ally or a spiral staircase behind the house. There is a nice deck off the back to enjoy the morning or evening light, take in the mountain scenery, or simply watch the train roll into town. The inside is an open concept with a private bedroom. The space is very cozy! During the summer months heating or cooling is usually not necessary and can be done by simply opening or closing the windows. Should heat be needed the new furnace works like a charm! The owners previously called this unit home for the last 7 years and absolutely loved the space.

Guest access
Guests can park off the ally in the back and enter through the covered porch or up the spiral staircase. Make sure the door you enter has a keypad lock. There is one back door on the house that accesses the other Airbnb unit.

The Powderhouse is located in the heart of Silverton Co. It is a large, 4 bedroom home with 3 bathrooms and plenty of extra space.

This home has been in our family for many, many years. My father in law grew up in this house, raised his children in this house and has been blessed to watch his grandchildren enjoy this house. We have set it up for rentals so that we can keep the home in the family and enjoy it when we are in Silverton also. It is a very rustic and charming home with lots of space and plenty of necessities to make your stay enjoyable.

Cozy up in this newly renovated home in the heart of historic Silverton! Located on Greene St two blocks south of downtown and less than a 10-minute drive from Silverton Mountain. Our home has quick access to backcountry skiing, high-country mountain biking and hiking, and room for parking OHV/ATV trailers (driveway is 58’ long x 9’ wide). Updated amenities, laundry, and a well-equipped kitchen make for a comfortable stay -- be it a weekend or longer! We look forward to hosting you!

The space
Our home is located on historic Greene St two blocks south of downtown Silverton. With incredible views of Kendall Mountain to the east, Boulder Gulch and the Route 2 corridor to the north, Shrine Mountain to the west, and Sultan Mountain to the south, picturesque landscapes are easy to come by.

Winter rentals: Silverton is nestled in the heart of the San Juans. From the north, it is accessible via Red Mountain Pass, and from the south via Coal Bank and Molas Pass. During major winter storms, these passes can be treacherous to drive or occasionally closed by CDOT for plowing. As a result, the house may be inaccessible due to road conditions. As with all other rentals in town, we do not offer refunds if you cannot get here due to road closures, but we will make every effort to accommodate changes in arrival schedule as needed. If you are uncomfortable with this added risk, we suggest booking a different hotel or house that may be more suitable for your needs.

Driveway is 58’ long x 9’ wide. This can fit most OHV/ATV trailers, but there is also free parking in front of the house for wider trailers.

You will have the entire house to yourself during you stay. It has a newly renovated interior with beautiful kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and laundry. We also have a dedicated desk space in the hallway nook for anyone needing to get some work done.

Please note that the loft is closed to guests and will be locked and roped off. The description of the rooms, sleeping arrangements, and amenities that the house offers does not include the loft, nor does our listing have any pictures of this area. We ask that our guests respect the staircase closure of the loft and do not allow anyone to use the stairs or bypass the in-place restrictions.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need, including pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, blender, toaster, and baking equipment. There are plenty of cabinets for food storage, as well as filtered water from the refrigerator dispenser. The dishwasher, stove/oven and refrigerator also allow for complete food prep and easy cleanup for any length of stay.

The living room includes an electric fireplace, an assortment of games, and the couch features a memory foam pullout mattress that sleeps two guests. Each room has individual temperature control, so it is easy to find a comfortable setting during the day and at night. The TV has complimentary Netflix and YouTube TV. Enjoy the front patio for star-gazing at night or easy yard access in the summer.

The bedrooms both have brand new queen beds, and there is plenty of closet storage and drawer space. From our own travels, we know that a bad night of sleep will ruin any vacation, so we carefully selected some of the most comfortable beds available and added 2-inch memory foam toppers to ensure maximum sleepability. There is also a large assortment of pillows in each bedroom and the back hallway closet so that everyone can find the right level of support.

The full bathroom is newly renovated and includes a full-size shower/tub with an assortment of personal hygiene products. Across the hall is a second bathroom complete with a double vanity and washer/dryer. You will also find hair dryers in both bathrooms, along with an iron and ironing board in the back hallway closet.

WiFi is available free of charge. We have three Google Nest nodes throughout the house, and a 100MB fiber internet plan to ensure fast connection speeds.

Both the front and back doors have Yale digital deadbolt locks. Each booking receives a unique code for unlocking the doors.

Parking is free both in the driveway and anywhere along Greene St.

Our house is located two blocks south of downtown Silverton, and the surrounding are offers unparalleled hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and OHV access. Please keep in mind that OHVs are not allowed within Silverton town limits, but our driveway allows sufficient space for storing extra vehicles.

As mentioned in the Property Description, there is a second-story loft in our house that is closed to guest access. We do not show any pictures of the loft or its staircase in our listing so that guests do not perceive this as part of their booking. Additionally, our amenities and sleeping arrangements within the listing do not make any mention of the loft. We ask that guests respect the closure and do not attempt to use the staircase or bypass the locked loft gate.

Other things to note
The house is protected with auto-locking Yale deadbolts on both the front and back doors. Because each booking receives unique door codes, there is no risk of unwanted entry from prior guests. There are no cameras on the property, so rest assured that your privacy is our top priority during your stay.

Pets are not allowed. Breaking this rule will result in a minimum charge of $100, plus additional cleaning fees if warranted.

Loud noise or parties will result in immediate removal from the property and fees for damages. Both AirBNB and the Town of Silverton have zero tolerance policies for unsanctioned parties at vacation rentals.

The Russian Princess was designed and built in 1883 by Russian Princess Emma Harris and is featured on Silverton's Historic Walking Tour. The dining area is surrounded by windows, and the family room has enough seating for the group to gather for a game night. Each bedroom features new bedding and linens. Enjoy board games, puzzles and children's books and toys. Three bedrooms are upstairs, and one bedroom with king bed is downstairs. Two televisions (one in family room and one in downstairs room) with streaming capability and YouTube television provided with access to over 85 live television stations. In the summer, enjoy the back patio with a picnic table and grill. In the winter, you'll find sleds in the garage and sledding areas within walking distance. Silverton is a walkable town and you can easily walk to the local grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, bars and gift shops from The Russian Princess. Ample parking is available in the driveway as well as on the side and in front of our home.

Other things to note
Our home was built in 1883. This means it is quaint and has character. Though it has been modernized in some ways, there are a few things we can't change. First, the plumbing is old. Please do not put food down the garbage disposal. The toilets can clog easily due to the old plumping so lots of flushing and minimal toilet paper is best. Second, the furnace is new as of October 2020, and the house heats up quickly. Unfortunately, it is located in the center of the house and can be loud when it turns on during the winter months. We've learned to heat the house up before a family movie night and then turn it down so it doesn't come on during the movie. Or we just turn the volume up loud. Either way, it's a bit of an inconvenience. To preserve the historic wood floors, we ask that guests enter through the back door and leave shoes in the mudroom. Silverton has dirt roads which means there can be lots of mud and dirt, therefore, we ask that guests not wear shoes in the house.

Climbing the stairs to the main residential floor leads to a large open room facing a real fireplace and library with two adjacent bedrooms and a pocket view deck of the Animas Valley.
Leaving this room takes the visitor to the media room with a surround sound system, dining view deck, and large communal bath including warm tile floors and a 7 foot fisherman's claw foot soaking tub. The smart TV allows you to stream movies from your favorite account or you can use our large DVD library to entertain young and mature alike.

Climbing the next set of stairs to the third story leads to the master suite with private bath and views of the whole town. The stairwell can be closed for privacy and there is also a work station for those needing to check in at the office. All-in-one printers are located at desks on the second and third floor.

Upstairs three bedroom apartment. This home features a private beautiful deck overlooking Silverton and Blair Street! We have a fully furnished deck with 7 person hottub. Indoors youll find a propane fire place, a fully stoked kitchen ready to cook in, two full bathrooms with out standing pressure and instant hot water for long showers, a king bedroom, a twin bedroom and a queen bedroom.

A brand new build - finished in May 2019. Three bedrooms, two baths, in a residential neighborhood in the town of Silverton. Some of the best views of Kendall Mountain. The Altitude Adjustment has a huge yard, fire pit, RV parking and plug-in, granite kitchen counters, laminate floors, and TV's through the house and in each bedroom. Ride the train up to almost the front door. Plenty of pull around and thru parking for trucks and trailers.

Other things to note
This house sits close to the scenic trains pick-up and drop-off location. There are 1 to 3 trains per day from May thru mid-October, at 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. A very beautiful train ride.

The right side of the house and garage is for the USPS mail drivers. They use the apartment above the garage while the mail is being sorted for delivery in Montrose. Please, no parking in front of the garage door.

Get outside and enjoy the multitudes of activities by just walking out the front door. From hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, and ATVing, the San Juan Mountains will bring out your sense of adventure in no time. OHV's must remain on the trailer at this home. It is illegal to unload or ride OHVs off the designated route.
Go out for dinner, just 2 blocks away from Silverton’s infamous Blair or Green Street for a plethora of dining and shopping experiences. Or stay in and cook your meals at the house in a social-oriented circular kitchen with an island for additional seating and conversation.
Retire your day in one of the 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and spectacular mountain views. On the floor level, the master bedroom takes in the views of Kendal Mountain with star gazing straight from the queen size bed, in addition to the claw foot tub for private relaxation. The second bed/bath with a double and two single size beds resides on this level too. The upstairs bedroom has 2 beds (one double and 1 single). If you need even more sleeping space, there’s also a futon (queen size) and couch.
